I was in need of two suits for two upcoming weddings, each in a different climate. What stands out is the level of service and care they provide — their flexibility and attention to detail made the whole process seamless, especially on a tight timeline and remote as I was traveling — virtual fittings? Yes. Easy shipping. Yes. Great experience? No doubt. The suits themselves? Oh yes yes yes. Quality material, fit, and features like workable button holes, pockets, etc. all fantastic. I was in the market for a new suit and J. Mueser came highly recommended by one of the best dressed men I know. I have an athletic build and any suits I buy off the rack require extensive alterations. When I contacted the shop, Jake was cordial and immediately let me know that he would do everything possible to make himself available throughout the process. Because I currently live outside of the USA but frequently return for business this availability set my mind at ease. At the initial consultation, Jake and I talked about his selections. Jake is easy-going and the vibe of the shop is cool. I wanted to have a full Bespoke suit made but my travel schedule would not allow this. Instead I opted for the Custom option. We decided on the fabric and Jake took a bunch of measurements. Jake contacted me several weeks later and let me know that he had the suit and it looked beautiful. I returned to the US, 6 months later excited to see my suit. The suit was everything I imagined it would be. The suit seemed to fit perfectly but Jake spotted a few areas that needed some adjusting. He completed the adjustments and when I returned two weeks later. I was amazed with the difference the seemingly small adjustments made to the fit of the suit. J. Meuser far exceeded my expectations and I always get at least one compliment on the suit every time I wear it. J. Mueser has made a regular customer and I would not hesitate to recommend that you have at least one J. Meuser suit in your wardrobe .

If you're looking for something a cut above, you've found it. I haven't had the pleasure of wearing a J.Mueser garment, but I've used Jake's shop for alterations and sleeve finishings. There are tailors and then there are tailors. Whether it's Jake, Jonas or Matt taking your measurements, the garment will come out fitting perfectly. The attached sportcoat (not J. Mueser) came with unfinished sleeves. Many tailors will just stitch a button on there. Some will also stitch a faux buttonhole. Few will even stitch a functional buttonhole. And even fewer are the tailors who will stitch a handmade functional buttonhole for you. Of those, the ones that look as good as these holes are a rarity. J.Mueser's in-house tailor is a gem in this city and beyond. Truly world-class, stop by for any and all work you need done. Whether you think you *need* such talented hands working on your garment or not, odds are you've been working hard and you certainly do deserve it.

Popped in here with no expectations and l ended up getting exactly what I was looking for with help from Jonas and Christian! They were both super friendly and helpful, I feel great about my experience here and the suit I picked up. Thank you fellas!!!

Stumbled across this gem while walking around. I noticed them from Instagram and knew what to expect for the most part. Upon walking in my wife and I were greeted and the gentleman and I immediately connected based on our shared interests. What a beautiful store from off the rack to bespoke clothing. Highly recommend.

Jake is so easy-going and the vibe of the shop is so cool that I could have talked to him for hours. I wanted to have a full Bespoke suit made but given that I would not be able to have the serial fitting done in a timely manner (do to my traveling) so I opted for the Custom option. After we decided on the fabric and color Jake took a detailed set of measurements and I was on my way. Jake contacted me several weeks later and let me know that the suit was in his possession and looked beautiful. I excitedly returned to the US, 6 months after my initial consultation excited to see my suite. I stopped by the busy shop a week before Christmas and the suite was everything I had hoped for. The suit seemed to fit perfectly as I tried it on for the first time but Jake spotted a few areas that needed some adjusting. He completed the adjustments and when I returned two weeks later I tried the suit on again. I was amazed by the difference the seemingly small adjustments made to the fit of the suit. Overall I would certainly say that J. Meuser exceeded my expectations and I always get at least one compliment on the suit every time I wear it. I will certainly purchase again from J. Meuser and I would not hesitate to recommend that you have at least one J. Meuser suit in your wardrobe.

1. Great team. Jake and Jonas are both very smart and know what is needed in a great suit for you and your body shape. 2. Goes without saying the quality is one of the best. In fit, in cut, in quality of stitch. 3. THE best customer service. My suit pants no longer fit because I like donuts too much. Brought it in and they took care of it no problem. I have been everywhere from Etro to Brioni and these guys are the best. Always friendly and willing to work with you. Coming back for my next suit.

At this point, I dress almost exclusively In Doyle Mueser suiting. I'm addicted. Making a suit with Jonas and Jake feels like an artistic collaboration. They're virtuosic designers who can realize whatever fantasy-suit you have in mind. Though I'm sure plenty of people just want a specific suit concept executed, I'd recommend collaborating on ideas. I trust them completely; they always improve upon my vision, coming up with things I didn't even know I wanted. They're brilliant at reading people aesthetically; I often feel they understand the nuances of my sensibility and style more than I do. And Jonas and Jake also happen to be really charming and elegant characters.

Was brought here a year ago by a friend, and have never turned back. Doyle Mueser is hands down the best tailor in New York City; after having them make me an incredible olive green corduroy suit, i've had them make me 3 suits, 8 shirts and a sportcoat. The staff is cool, knowledgeable and incredibly polite. I can't recommend Doyle Mueser highly enough.

My husband loves this gem. It is very hard for him to find suits that fit his body as he is very tall with long arms but quite skinny and likes a very slim fit. Jake and his team do such a great job customizing suits that fit him perfectly and they have such great taste in their lux fabrics and trimming selections. My husband won't buy his suits anywhere else!

I have been wearing bespoke suits for the past 15 years and Doyle Mueser is the finest I have ever owned. The showroom is beautiful and Mr. Mueser is a master. The suit fits like I've worn it my entire life. I will be back again and again, no question.

Doyle Mueser is amazing! Jake makes all of my husband's suits and shirts - at this point he won't wear anything else. He loves to go down to the shop on a Saturday for fittings and a glass of Balvenie - it is a great neighborhood spot. The shop manager - Jonas - is extremely elegant and very helpful when it comes to selecting fabrics and making decisions regarding cut and fit. For my birthday Jake even designed me a custom woman's cape lined in silk - it is beyond fabulous. A great store.

don't believe the stale reviews seen here. because of my husband's size, he has bought custom suits and shirts for 25 years, and gave these two kids a try. its like they haven't done this before. They try hard it seems, but cannot produce a garment that you ask for. They make one kind of suit and one kind of shirt and no matter what you ask for, thats what you get. Plus, they are VERY fully priced. will never go back. they won't be in business for much longer....
