Amazing to visit where the Quran was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. They have a new shopping mall at the base of the mountain which is great to go through and get snacks for family and also a small Musallah. The walk up to the cave of Hira is very long. Wouldn’t recommend with small kids or elderly. It takes at least an hour to get up there and back. Wear good shoes.

This place is a disgrace to the Saudi authorities. They have no respect whatsoever for this important holy site. They only care about shopping malls. Everywhere from the top to the bottom of the mountain and the walking path is littered with trash. Beggars harass you all the way. There's no security or first aid station. What if someone falls? This holy site is neglected. A disgrace. The holy sites are in the wrong country. Islam stands for order and hygiene, not chaos and filth.

Amazing and challenging experience. Be aware that atnight, the claim becomes dangerous due to lack of light and the amount of people going up and down. Bring water and a headlamp if possible. At the actual cave will be many people trying to get it in so be ready. I do people did a better job of not leaving garbage around. Shame on them.

I’m really blessed to visit Jabal al-Nur (Mountain of Light) in Makkah, where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ received the first revelation in the Cave of Hira. The climb is tough but worth it. I’m went early morning around 3:00 am best time as the weather was cool and less crowded. From the top you can clearly see the Makkah Clock Tower, and the view is very awesome I’m recommend carrying a water bottle, light/torch, and good shoes. The best experience was praying Fajr salah on the top, truly unforgettable and spiritual. A must-visit for anyone coming to Makkah

Go very early to avoid thd crowds at the summit 2am is best time.. Take a flash light if you decide on an early start Once the sun is up. And in the middle of the summer months. It can be quite oppressive. Remember the mountain is close to 2000ft to its summit. So it is not for the faint hearted. If you lack any normal fitness, you will struggle to even get to the base gift shop..which is probably 5% of the way up. The next station point is again a challenging walk. At 30%. General rule . If you cannot run even a short 100m in less than 30 seconds, you are not the person to be trying this ascent. Seek blessing by doing what you can however. Even being present at the Base is a great achievement, and cannot be estimated. Steps have been prepared over the years to help with the ascent, however do not be lulled into a false hope. Once you are at the summit, entrance into the blessed cave is a struggle. But that should be expected. There is only space for 1 or 2 slim sized adults. And please be careful around male to female- non mehram contact.

Blessed place definitely; old way is closed people can't go from this side anymore however they built brand new way..
