14 Jacana Gardens was the Santuary I sought after I checked out of my urban hotel where I had stayed for a week. Jacana is really a home away from home. It is cozy and comfortable, a gem set in a tranquil garden. It is beautifully furnished with a rustic appealing look and wonderful art pieces. Riana the host is wonderful, catering to my every need. The bedrooms are colourfully done with nice showers. I just loved my 7 stay there and made my first visit to Zimbabwe all the more memorable.

Jacana Gardens is excellent. The hosts make it a true away from home, with thoughtful amenities such as helping with ordering in take-away food, a communal bar and superb breakfast. The staff are wonderful. This is among the top places I have stayed anywhere in the world. It truly is like being in your own house, and the garden is fabulous, with many birds, sculptures and tasteful art throughout the house and grounds. You really can't do better in Harare.

My sister and I stayed at Jacana Lodge in February 2023 after having visited back in Septmber 2018. We went back because we loved it so much. It is an urban oasis offering beautiful gardens, spacious and immaculately decorated bedrooms, good wifi, friendly staff and the host is so helpful and happy to advise or assist with anything that you're looking for. The gardens and the house feature beautiful African artwork and crafts made by Zimbabwean artists, some really cool stuff. Jacana is located close to Borrowdale village which has an abundance of restaurants, shops, a cinema and some lively bars. We will definately be visiting Jacana again.

We had the pleasure of staying at Jacana Gardens earlier this year. What a beautiful experience. From the verdant surroundings to the very hospitable owners and friendly staff, made for a great start to our time in Harare. We booked the self catering cottage. The lodgings were very comfortable and the amenities well suited to our requirements. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The location does require that you have a car to get to the shops which are a short drive away. We highly recommend Jacana Gardens to the discerning traveller- you will not be disappointed! And a cup of the freshly brewed Zimbabwean coffee in the mornings at Jacana, is simply a MUST!

Jacana Gardens is conveniently located in Harare. The guest lodge is very presentable, clean, safe, and perfect for my needs. Stayed in the cottages, which provided the privacy needed for extended stays. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the owners are an absolute pleasure to to deal with. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I recently spent a month in Harare on a business trip and luckily was accommodated at the Jacana Gardens Guest Lodge. This is an incredible B&B in the middle of Harare and is contained in a mystical walled oasis. The rooms are rustic, yet are extremely comfortable and private. The grounds are more of a small park with a pond and many locally fabricated metallic works of art, both large and small, interspersed around the grounds.||||A daily laundry service is also provided.||||The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home from the moment you enter the front gate.||||I expect to be called back later in the year for business, if this is the case I sincerely hope that I am again accommodated at the Jacana Gardens. My first stay was a pleasure!

Lovely place to stay in Harare. Good location, nice and quiet setting with a beautiful garden. The owner and whole staff take good care of the guests and are very attentive. Fast and very reliable Internet so that you can also work without any problems from your room if needed.
