JACARÉ DO BRASIL

One of my favorite spots in Trancoso! Jacaré do Brasil is beautifully located right above the lively artist market, where festive tables showcase local art and jewelry. The space itself is tropical, breezy, and inviting—perfect for a relaxed yet memorable evening. We started with the crispy filo squares stuffed with warm, melty cheese—absolutely delicious. For mains, we had the steak with risotto, a perfectly balanced mushroom risotto, and a hearty homemade pasta with ragu sauce. Every dish was flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully plated. The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience left us stuffed and smiling. excellent! the bar side is noisy however the drinks are outstanding. the service was lovely and attentive. food is very good with a ojo de bife which is well cooked and well seasoned the pudding is moorish and moist. it is not 5 stars because of the cost

Great music and atmosphere! Didn’t need a reservation, although it was early. The bartender and waiter were both extremely welcoming and accommodating despite our language barrier. The food and drinks were really good!! No complaints. A little disappointed we stumbled in here on our last day… I’d definitely revisit.

very good food and they also have vegan options! the service is also very attentive. one star knocked off beacuse they are overpriced (unfortunately) and the second star knocked off because they let guests smoke right next to the tables, where other guests are having their dinner.

Staff and atmosphere are wonderful. Food is not so tasty and experience. The fillet mignon parmigiana was disappointing, definitely not a cut of fillet mignon, obviously a cheap cut.

The best location in Trancoso ever. I’ve been there with my friends for a beverage and the staff was really nice. The place is amazing! However the prices are so overrated that clearly they have the goal to avoid the native people. And this is the reason for my 3 stars.

2 stars because it’s not worth the visit. Definitely super super overpriced (73€ for 2 cocktails and 2 main dishes). Food average. Cocktails not good. Not memorable at all. So many better places to go to in Trancoso
