It’s confusing and frustrating that the doughnuts are not labeled. At least label the base doughnuts and have a chalk board listing the ones that change. The way it is now with no labels causes long waits as people are asking for each doughnuts flavor one at a time. Make the business customer friendly not convenient for the owners.

Always have, and always will have the best tasting donuts around. Got to try Steve's newest experimental chocolate Italian soda, which was fantastic. Tried it again with some cream tho, still good, but better without I thought. Definitely willing to experiment again tho.

We went in this morning for halloween donuts and Jack Frost did not disappoint. Donuts were fresh and delicious my kids loved the halloween decorations.

Google
Jack Frost is phenomenal! It's a tad pricey, but that's because the quality is above all other donut places. The gluten-free donuts are pictured, and they are actually 10/10 very good. Moist, soft, dense. $4.35 ea, and you have to order a minimum of 6. Available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They might be one of the only places near parma that has gluten free donuts. Other than store bought Katz donuts. Gluten free breakfast and not depressing. Thank you Jack frost! Most excellent.!.!.!.!

Google
The best cake donuts in Cleveland. Crispy outside, super soft inside, so many good flavors: basics to elaborate. The icing is perfect.

Rachel Erotika

Google
These are some of the BEST donuts in Cleveland, located in Old Brooklyn Neighborhood. Their donuts are made from scratch and very rich flavors. Easy parking.

Google
If you haven’t tried these donuts in Cleveland or at the zoo, you need to!!! They are soooooo good- have vegan and gluten free options! Everything is from scratch… Amazing business 🍩 👏 👏

Fred S.

Yelp
Small place easy to get into wheelchair accessible. The donuts are really unique. They have very big cinnamon rolls. Service is great. The young girl was real friendly

Beth F.

Yelp
The best! Love the attention to detail but wish they were closer!! We live 30 mins away

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Their donuts are delicious but at the price point it is really only worth it for the speciality donuts. A dozen is cheaper than individually it still quite expensive. But then again if maple bacon (my daughters favorite) and chocolate cherry is up your alley and you want fresh and quality then . They always have seasonal flavors and decorations which is quite nice. Get there early especially on weekends because it is a first come first served and they can sell out of favorites (glazed is usually available). Servers are always lovely and patient.

Zoe K.

Yelp
Had to make a stop here even if it was closer to the end of their hours. Within the limited selection my husband went for all cherry flavored choices and loved it all. The inside is cute and they have a huge coffee drink bar area too. Donuts were flavorful, great consistency, and not overly sweet. A great local place to try if you can.

Mindy D.

Yelp
Donuts were a great treat for the kids. Friendly people. Great customer service. The donuts were packaged careful enough that they stayed intact even after a twenty minute drive of stop and go traffic.

Angela S.

Yelp
Always a great place to pop in for a doughnut! We have been going there for as long as I can remember.

Tabitha M.

Yelp
This place has the best donuts!! Gluten free and vegan ones too. They are fresh daily and sooooooo many unique varieties to choose from. It's a must try! The service is always 100% too!

Margaret P.

Yelp
Pros: Delicious donuts with fluffy texture, wide array of donuts, kind staff, popular location, Cons: Hard to drive in and out, no indoor seating, no outdoor seating, small lobby area, the donuts are a little pricey Overall score: C+

Jeffrey N.

Yelp
Very good donuts , friendly staff , I will be a repeat customer, yes everyone should come here

Laurie V.

Yelp
Miraculously my car started driving itself and it drove itself right HERE to Jack Frost Donuts! I hate when that happens.... Anyhow, my car and I immensely enjoyed the donuts. I think my favorite was the peanut butter chocolate. It tasted like a buckeye. Mmmmm. I also liked the pineapple cheesecake a lot. I am still kicking myself for not getting one of the banana split donuts. How did I skip that one? The employee working there was super nice and friendly. He had some really good recommendations. My son really likes these donuts too. I tend to prefer the raised donuts over the cake donuts, but my child does not discriminate. The German Chocolate came highly recommended and it was absolutely good, but I still am pretty committed to my raised yeast donuts. Can't believe it took me (err....I mean.....my car....) to drive over here and enjoy some of these sweet treats. Thanks, Jack Frost for nipping at my nose....and my taste buds while you're at it.....

Amy J.

Yelp
If you microwave the donut for 15 seconds it becomes average, but generally these donuts are definitely on the dry side. The donuts here are never as moist or large as Spudnuts donuts but this place is open after 5 so you get what you can. The price of 12 donuts is nearly $25!!!! The price of 12 bigger tastier Spudnuts is only $18! Save your money and go elsewhere for better donuts and a better price in Berra.

Rachel E.

Yelp

Yelp
So, I have to be honest...I've never actually physically been here but I have had people bring me donuts from here more than a few times... and I must say the flavors never disappoint!! This time I was brought 1/2 Dozen donuts of random flavors that we all split and tried!! I am not the biggest fan of jelly, cream, or anything filled donuts but the lemon one was DELICIOUS!! The smiley one was basic but oh so cute and delicious... and the other flavors were also so yummy!! I cant wait to actually go here and try all the fun and cool flavors i've seen in all these reviews!!

Brenna S.

Yelp
My husband and I love Jack Frost Donuts! Cake donuts are our #1 go to and having the storefront right around the corner is wonderful. We both love the chocolate frosted donut with the peanut butter frosting on top. Always yummy!

Humphrey F.

Yelp
This is the only non-fast food restaurant open on July 4th in Cleveland, nothing can give me more exhilaration and deserve more gratitude than which for a starving tourist on a broiling day, the donuts are tacitly perfect as pictures shown!

Ashley O.

Yelp
Donuts are wayyy too sweet. To the point they made my kid puke. So much sugar, toppings, etc. Good; but tone it down a bit. Pronuts we're good on the other hand.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Very Expensive. They are good donuts but not for the price and not for the size you get. $16 for six donuts is ridiculous

Frank L.

Yelp
I heard a lot about this joint. Great for presentation, poor for taste. Super expensive. Tried 3 specialty and 1 basic glaze. These are "cake donuts" and have zero flavor. Taste/texture was like eating a biscuit..... The frosting toppings were pure sugar with no distinct taste. Overall: nothing signature about it. On to the next

Christina D.

Yelp
Delicious donuts, both regular and cake. I'm usually not into fancy donuts that rely on toppings to be good, but these held up pretty well to the s'mores bits, and the glazed donut was surprisingly balanced on the sweetness. Would absolutely eat there again - they have a cinnamon sugar cream cheese thing that I'd like to try next time.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Donuts are the best. Prices sure has gone up. When I was young, we used to walk down there for a glazed donut at 6 o'clock every night

Fatboy S.

Yelp
Tried some donuts at the West Side Market location - and OMG - these donuts are amazing ! The customer service was super helpful and friendly as well. If I lived closer - this place would be a problem for me. So good !

Diantha D.

Yelp
I went to Jack Frost to get some donuts around noon there no glaze donuts only one raise donuts only had cake donuts I couldn't believe they didn't have any glaze or raise donuts you know that the glaze donuts are a big seller you would have some even if you had a busy morning I probably won't be going there anymore I don't get in this area much the donuts don't taste like one's that we would stand in line waiting for them it's a shame that something that was so good at one time is no longer here other donuts shops that serve only donuts at least have donuts when you get there at any time so sad

Sharaun F.

Yelp
This was my first time ever to Jack Frost Donuts. I've driven past this location, but with all the uncertainty in the world right now, I needed a pick me up and today was the day! So whoa! So overwhelming! There are like a hundred options! The young lady who helped me was phenomenal. I decided on a donut with peanut butter icing and nuts and also a banana cream donut. My banana one was so very tasty. The donuts are made fresh and apparently they switch them out daily. I was told they have an Instagram page and was invited to follow them. They sell milk, coffee, juice and water also. This place is a gem and I will be back. Next time maybe I'll get a dozen so my family can try all different kinds. Can't wait!

Hallie M.

Yelp
Pretty good donuts, fun flavors, and most seem to be heavy on the frosting if that's what you're looking for. I was glad that it wasn't super busy when I went since I had to ask questions about what each flavor was since non of them were labeled. I ended up with a couple festive chocolate frosted donuts and two raspberry glazed. I would come again if in the area.

Ed T.

Yelp
Used to go here years ago with the kids for a Sunday treat. Always crowded, 2 deep at the counter. Went today at 7AM on Sunday. No Crowd. Bought (4) Chocolate Iced Donuts, $3.15 EA, Very Pricey. Small "fancy" doughnuts. Got home, Doughnuts were not fresh and I would suspect a day old. Won't be back.

Brian B.

Yelp
Terrible service. These aren't good traditional donuts. Way too much frosting. There are many other better options available in the area.

Xela N.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years, until today. I'm afraid the quality has gone downhill. We ordered a half dozen donuts, and mine tasted a bit stale and dry. Not nearly as much flavor as I remember them to have, and the prices have gone way up. Sadly, i'm done with Jack Frost. There are many places that serve better quality donuts. What a shame, because I usually support small 'mom and pop' businesses.

Marie S.

Yelp
Best donuts in town hard to pick a favorite. all are good

Evan B.

Yelp
Deliciousness - 3.5/5 Happiness - 3.5/5 I know this is a bit of an institution, but I simply wasn't that impressed. The donuts LOOK great for sure. Indeed, it took me about 5 minutes to finally figure out what I wanted as I marveled at all the options. And you absolutely get a lot of bang for your buck - the prices are very reasonable. But it would have been helpful for them to have names or signs as I basically had to interrogate the employee about what every offering was. But as good as they look, the taste just didn't do much. I have two young children and they didn't even finish their donuts. I felt like they didn't end up having a lot of flavor despite the extreme amount of sugar. I think this is a fun place to visit at least once due to the pure novelty. But ultimately, I'd rather get my calories from something a little tastier.

Adrianna U.

Yelp
took a trip to Jack Frost for a classmate's birthday... it was a little out of the way but the donuts looked too BOMB on yelp not to go. I came here around 7:00am and surprisingly there was a little line- a good sign! I ended up ordering a dozen for about $15. The donuts- I would guess they probably had 30 + different flavors when I was there. They had a variety of cake and yeast donuts, but it seemed like more cake donuts. Some flavors that I remember include salted caramel (counter lady said it was the best selling), maple bacon, german chocolate, pumpkin cheesecake, apple cinnamon, samoa, s'mores, fruity pebbles and captain crunch cereal covered donuts. The donuts are really well made. The texture of the cake itself is good, but the toppings were incredible and super fresh! Like people have said before, I have to take a star off for the unlabeled donuts. I would at least have a list or a sign. It got super tedious having to ask the worker what each donut was, and i noticed that customers in front of me just opted for a variety box where you don't choose what you get.

Saul L.

Yelp
Lots of hype, but been pretty mediocre in the times I've gone. Tried several different donuts and everything is ok, but nothing special. Would have really hoped it'd have been better, especially at over 3 bucks a pop.

B A.

Yelp
Fresh baked yesterday! Ordered a half dozen various doughnuts...all were dried out and old tasting. We had to toss them into the trash. Expensive at $3.15 per doughnut...Another customer asked to buy one and when she heard the price, she turned around and walked out! Gas station doughnuts are fresher. There was nothing extraordinary about Jack Frost doughnuts to justify the high price!

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Jack Frost is the best! We started coming here a few months back after moving to the area in search of "the best donut around". Jack Frost is an adorable, friendly family-style neighborhood donut shop with really fantastic donuts. A visit is like taking a step back In time and I'm here for the ambiance! The service is outstanding as well. They have seasonal specials and everyone's favorite classics like glazed, crueler and Boston creme. We have tried many, many donuts here and all have been fantastic! You also can't beat the price for gourmet/fancy donuts - these are a steal! We love Jack Frost!

Colin S.

Yelp
Another yelp review of mine gone... WTF?!?! Jack Frost is a Cleveland institution. But unlike the many others that "aren't as good as they used to be", JF keeps the quality protected and has actually grown to improve the service. They've grown from a cash only business in a shoebox of a building to a roomier, plastic accepting bakery that has kept the quality and portion size a customer's dream. I cannot even figure out where to start describing these masterpiece donuts. Just look at the many, many pics that people have posted and try not drool onto your phone. Some say they are a little pricey. I'm telling you, you get what you pay for. I'll pay their prices all day, every day for that quality.

Joshua B.

Yelp
We heard when traveling to Cleveland you HAD to go to Jack Frost for amazing donuts. We were not disappointed. The cake donuts and crullers were delicious. The only down size was that we unintentionally went on national donut day so the pickings were slim when we got there but we we got was delicious.

Shelly C.

Yelp
I Will be completely honest right now, I am gluten-free. I do not eat donuts. However, my husband loves donuts as do most of my friends. No, don't feel sorry for me (OK, maybe a little sorry I do love sympathy ) Anywho... getting to the actual point of this review... Everyone seriously loves these donuts, Like, everyone. A ton of people say that these are their favorite donuts. For basically every one I know who eats donuts this is in their top 3. I probably could give them 5 stars based on all of my friends' reviews. However, I am a GLUTEN GRINCH and I had to remove a star for their lack of gluten free options. I would SO love them to get a GF donut but I'm not holding my breath

Susanne C.

Yelp
Donuts were average, but not for the amount of money. $3.15 per donut x 3 donuts $9.45 for 3- Yes I said THREE Donuts. WAY OVER PRICED. I'll save you money go to Donut Scene on Pearl. You won't be disappointed and you can get 1dozen for $12.50. Freshly made, High variety and you'll go back again and again.

dawn l.

Yelp
Good selection and variety of donuts. Not as delicious as I remember and pricey. Definitely worth trying but know it will not be normal donut prices.

Steve B.

Yelp
The donuts are delicious and a short time ago a dozen used to be $19.99. I understand inflation isn't their fault, but $25 for a dozen of donuts is a little excessive. To keep the cost down, shorten the menu and rotate availability. Have exclusive events that will draw crowds. At this point, the customer is paying for all of the unnecessary ingredients.

Maricar T.

Yelp
If you've got a sweet tooth, this place is THE spot for you. They have a wide variety of options available and their staff is happy to explain what the donuts are. My friend and I looked at their online menu before walking in and found out that they don't match the menu with what's actually at the store. For example, they had their holiday specialty donuts at the shop but they weren't listed online. We went for a half-dozen box which was the right move for three people. We got the following donuts: sour cream glazed old fashioned, powdered lemon, cake donut with m&ms and cream, chocolate iced peanut butter cream jacked up cake donut, raspberry drizzle chocolate cake donut and a holiday reindeer long john with chocolate cream filling. Out of all of them, I'd say the raspberry drizzle chocolate was my least favorite because I was expecting the drizzle to be a stronger flavor. Favorite donut was the chocolate iced peanut butter cream jacked up cake donut. Definitely one to try for those that are fans of anything peanut butter.

Marlon T.

Yelp
Jack Frost Donuts is your old neighborhood donut shop in Cleveland. I literally came in early one day and a police officer was having a mentoring conversation with one of the young employees. If you just sit in the parking for a while in the morning, you'll see all types of people coming in and out: the lazy grungy dude in his PJs, the businessman in a hurry, the mom with 4 kids, and multiple cops. Anyway, you'll never be disappointed eating fried cake and coffee and I wouldn't miss out on Jack's if you're looking for a Cleveland staple. My recommendations are the German Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Maple Bacon. The coffee is self-serve and is pretty good.

Megan W.

Yelp
These gormet dougnuts are the best around! Highly reccommend the maple bacon...its the cats pajamas.

Tonia M.

Yelp
We wanted to take a treat home to our family from Cleveland and thought donuts would travel well on our 4 hr drive. I looked up donut places and decided to try Jack's. When we arrived, I was happy there was a private parking lot. The inside was clean and the donuts were on full display. There was a table-top small case with donuts that were specifically gluten free. The main case had a large selection to choose from, but I had to ask what they were because nothing was labeled. I was disappointed to learn that none of the donuts are filled. All of the donuts are either a yeast or cake base with different toppings of glazes, nuts, drizzles, whipped frosting dollops, etc..., to change up the overall flavor. While the donuts are tasty and definitely better than a standard Dunkin Donuts or grocery store, I missed having a donut plump with filling. I did appreciate the variety of flavors outside the norm. A place worth checking out.

Brittany S.

Yelp
Donuts are alright. When I first moved to Cleveland everyone raved about these donuts but they don't taste like anything extremely special. I think they're on par with Giant Eagle. If they started adding cronuts (like Five Daughters Bakery) to their menu, they'd automatically earn another star from me. Or even something else more u Oquendo than what they have.

Bobby R.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town friend said these were the best donuts in town they were ok, not better then planet donuts in lower Manhattan, and they bigger donuts the size of these donuts for the price of donuts was really disappointing

Lynette C.

Yelp
So I've had more than one person tell me to try this place. I drive by here a lot since it's not too far from my house and since I was out running errands this morning and it just happened to be on my return route I decided eh why not?! I popped in around 10ish and they still had a ton of donuts. While walking in a guy was coming out with a huge bag full of donut boxes, my first thought omg do they have anything left? Haha I was surprised with the amount of donuts they did have. They have a huge selection and the donuts were pretty good. Not greasy with that funky after taste you get from some places. I wanted a plain old fashioned but I think the girl helping me misunderstood me and gave me a plain donut it was fine tho. I also got a raspberry jelly filled donut. Too much powdered sugar but otherwise good. I gave 4 stars because while they were very good. I've had better. I guess I'm just spoiled by the place I used to frequent in California. At least I know when the craving hits where to head to. I got two donuts for 4 bucks and some change.

Marissa K.

Yelp
Its always a treat getting donuts here. There are so many to choose from. Their glazed are so tasty. I also love their fried cake donuts. I don't go here often simply because their donuts are so wonderful I over indulge. Even their stand at the zoo has wonderful donuts. I had expected donuts there to be slightly stale, being out at the zoo, but they weren't.

John L.

Yelp
My wife and I visited here this past week hoping to try a new donut shop for our anniversary. Jack Frost was far from a disappointment. We paid barely anything for a half dozen. There were a huge variety of flavors to pick from. Our experience was good picking the donuts up too. Customer service was quick and polite, which made for a delightful experience. The shop was clean to add the cherry on top. If you are in the Brooklyn area, this place is a gem.

Jeff C.

Yelp
I love donuts and when I travel I try to find a local donut place to visit and this was the one for Cleveland. It was quiet on a Monday morning so that was probably a good thing, as I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of donut choices I had! Thankfully, the girl working the counter was super enthusiastic to tell me what each flavor was and in the end, my dad and I ended up choosing a S'mores, raspberry glazed, and a Boston Cream. All the donuts were good but the raspberry glaze was notable to me as it had great flavor... just the right amount of sweet and tart at the same time. I just wish they had more raised donuts instead of cake donuts as I prefer those a bit more, but overall, solid donuts!
