"The dramatic ruins of the famed author’s planned estate offer literary pilgrims a poignant look into Jack London’s life and legacy, with exposed foundations and evocative coastal landscapes that highlight the site’s historical and cultural resonance." - Cu Fleshman
We loved this! Very interesting site and the docents were very pleasant and helpful. I am handicapped but I was able to make the trek from the parking lot to the actual ruins of the home. Very peaceful, serene location. Admission was reasonable and the area is kept up very well. Port-o-potties in the parking lot. Also some nice areas where you could eat picnic lunch. Plenty of parking, really nice, paved trails that are kind of hilly, but accessible.

My mother and I are visiting family in Sonoma and we decided to stop by! This is my first visit here, my mom’s second. Our tour guide, Ed was super knowledgeable and friendly! When we got to the Wolf House, Tom greeted us upon arrival and had some more information to tell us. The woman driving the golf cart (didn’t catch her name) was amazing and super sweet! They offer free golf cart rides to and from the Wolf House and the Museum was amazing as well! Entrance was only $10! They are volunteers to run the park and take donations as well! I wish we had more time to visit and hike the other trails! We will definitely be back soon to visit!

Lots of historic info about Jack London and wife, Charmian. A former home on the property was converted into the museum. Hiking trails connect different points of interest in the park, including an old cottage, vineyard, ruins of their dream home, Jack London's grave site, and more.

Short hike from parking lot. Once there ample shade water and places to sit and relax. Ruins easily viewed with various written narratives and maps. Bring your doggie. Highly recommend and kimmy gives 2 paws up.

An ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful and culturally enriching walk in the middle of nature. The short trail leading to The Wolf House ruins is pleasant and easy, making it accessible to visitors of all ages and fitness levels. Upon arrival at The Wolf House, you're greeted by the impressive size of the ruins, which give you a glimpse into the past and the grandeur of Jack London's ambitions.
While you can't venture inside the ruins, there's a path that lets you walk around it. There's also a staircase leading to a mini observation deck that offers a unique vantage point.
If you're a literature enthusiast, the museum at the start of the trail offers limited editions of Jack London's books at the store.

Beautiful site nestled within the forests. Definitely worth a hike and a visit, to immerse in the beautiful surrounding nature and see the grand vision of Jack London before it got tragically burned down. Dogs are allowed on the trails.

If you want an intense morning workout start down by the Jack London Lodge and walk up a steep incline to the park. Signs will direct you to the trail or walking path to the shell of a once splendid home never fully realized. The townspeople have all sorts of sordid rumors of this family, some of which can be entertaining. Early light filtering through the structure, makes it come alive.

A truly awesome place in the California countryside. The back story of the ruined house leaves a haunting feeling on visiting in person, but the scenic walk up, redwood groves and impressive aesthetic of the leftover stonework is nothing but spectacular.
