Masterclass level talent in many directions!! Not only is Jack Pine a supremely talented glass blower and artist, he is a mentor who all who work for him, he has a top level eye for visual display at gallery level AND he is an astute business owner. All of this is priceless in any location across the country but having his studio in the heart of southeastern Ohio and Hocking Hills cannot be matched. I have so much to say, I may need to come back to my review and add and edit more than once!! I have an MBA myself, a minor in art and an entire career in mgt and visual display so I don't give top shelf marks unless I can see multiple examples of any of the above. If you are visiting Hocking Hills, you MUST plan time to watch live, up close glass blowing demonstrations and see Jack's signature pumpkins. All of them. My personal favorites are the flowers for your garden!!!! 😲💜💚💛 Ample parking, a beautiful restroom (?!!!) a gorgeous gallery, other artist's work on display and also available for purchase and just pure magic!!

What a fantastic studio. Jack Pine has to be one of the nicest guy’s you would ever meet! The quality of their art glass is world class and affordable! Located in Hocking Hills, Ohio, and I highly recommend you bring your friends and make an afternoon out of it. Such a phenomenal selection of absolutely stunning blown glass!

Friday my wife and I went to Jack Pine Studio in Hocking Hills and participated in making our own glass blown pumpkins. Justin was our instructor and major helper in the process. He was an absolutely fantastic person to work with, being gentle, patient, and very encouraging. Thanks to Justin, we ended up with two very nice pumpkins. We went back today to pick them up. It was a really great experience and we want to do it again.

You've got to check out Jack Pine Studio. Definitely a destination location for the lover of blown glass and beautiful, unique pieces. They have an extensive hand made blown glass showroom...both inside and outside that rivals Chihuly. They do live demonstrations and have classes on Sunday. The people working there are friendly and knowledgeable.

Pleasant random hidden gem. Definitely recommend watching their demo for something different and unexpected. It's in the middle of nowhere, which makes for a beautiful setting. Nice addition to our hiking weekender.

Google
What a cool artist studio in a beautiful location! There’s a glass pumpkin for any kind of person and an interesting diversity of art from other artists as well. They were building new amenities for the site and getting ready for the pumpkin show, it’s great to see investment in local Ohio art in the community.

Yelp
Made a point to visit here as my friend and I love to see local artists and their wares, especially here where you can watch them as they create pieces. They weren't many people on this Memorial Day holiday so we were able to sit and watch three gentlemen at work creating the most beautiful iridescent glass pumpkins and ask questions about them and their experience/ employment at the studio. We got to sit for at least 20-25 minutes then browsed the shop to see the different items for sale. I really liked some small glass ornaments on entering the building but decided I should look around more and go watch the demonstration first and intended on buying on my way out. A young lady behind the counter was assisting a customer very patiently, while they struggled to decide on purchases for gifts. This customer was at the counter when I walked in, and she was still there close to 30 minutes later! I ended up putting my ornaments back and left. There's an outdoor garden art area with lovely items for sale, discounted for the holiday; I could tell driving by. The studio is worth the visit for sure! Due to the nature of the items being unique, individually handcrafted pieces that cannot be duplicated they are more expensive. But there were some affordable items. Definitely stop in!

Yelp
The Jack Pine Studio has great hand-blown glass to purchase. The pumpkin of the year creations are always awesome. I have several glass pumpkins. The Mother's Day pumpkin from 2023 was so beautiful.

Yelp
Families with young children (or really, anyone of any age) who is in the Hocking Hills area needs to stop by the Jack Pine Studio and watch a demo. The crew at the glassblowing studio work all day to make the signature Jack Pine glass pumpkins, and also other glass sculptures and art ... but mostly pumpkins. It's amazing to watch them work with the hot molten glass, shape it and hammer it down to create actual objects. The demos are free, and there is a small seating area outside where you can watch the demos take place outdoors. There is also the option to step inside and watch, too. Best of all: The demos are free! And you don't need to make an appointment or reservations or anything -- just show up and take a seat, and watch the magic happen. When we were there, there was a woman who was narrating what was happening and what the artisans were doing as it was taking place. If you're so inclined to buy yourself a piece of glass art, you can visit the gift shop, which is right in the same building. There's pumpkins, but also all kinds of other things, like vases, glass ornaments, bowls, and also metal sculptures, too. You might also see a dog there (I think her name was Mathilda?), the resident Chihuahua.

Yelp
Love this adorable studio. We flew out for a wedding from LA not having set things we wanted to do with out down time. We stumbled along the studio as we were driving to our cabin, it immediately caught eye as they advertised glass pumpkins and I love pumpkins. We ended up going on our last day in town and it was amazing. There were so many things and they were all beautiful. They had every size and color pumpkin you could ever want, along with bird feeders, vases, wall art, ect. If I am ever back in the area I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
I had seen his work on a variety of local morning shows and, being the glass lover that I am, took advantage of being in the area and stopped by. First, let me be clear, the artwork is exquisite & evident in every beautiful detail from the eclectic color pairings to the implementation of textures & depth. While I would have loved to have had the opportunity to see the artist(s) at work, we stopped by on a whim & a day that no one was working with glass. One star was docked for a complete lack of customer service. There was no one in the general area when we needed assistance. We had to actively seek assistance and that did not seem welcomed. Really disappointing.

Yelp
Visited the Hocking Hills area and took the class a couple of weeks ago. Brit was wonderful with all the students. He worked with each of us individually on our pieces and explained the process to us. Each of the guys Jack has working there are talented artists. The gallery has something for everyone at every price point. I would recommend taking the class and trying your hand at this. It will challenge your mind and your muscles. Looking forward to the next time.

Yelp
I took a private glass blowing class with Nick Folz. He is a fantastic instructor and made the lesson easy and fun. The lesson is VERY hands on. You will get to do a lot of the process. I had an absolute blast and got to make multiple items. It's definitely worth every penny.

Jeffrey K.

Yelp
What a fantastic experience. The artists and the staff are friendly and very welcoming. They explain the art in a style that is just like sitting and having coffee with a friend. Not from a script and most definitely not with any artsy fartsy attitude. The chemistry is explained. They why something is done is explained. Thank you Jack, Adam and Tammy.

Yelp
This is a must to sign up for a class. Our instructor was Brit and we can't say enough great things about his ability to instruct, inform and orchestrate a class of first timers with an obvious passion for his art. And of course seeing all the fabulous items that Jack Pine and his people produce is an eye opener. Thanks, Mike, Suzanne and Victoria

Yelp
This studio is now located in Laurelville (Hocking Hills) and is a great hot shop with staff that takes the time to give you a great experience. My husband and I met the owner, Jack, at an art show in Florida and had been looking forward to visiting his shop near my hometown. When I noticed that the workshops were not available on the date we were visiting, staff went out of their way to ensure that my husband got to make some glass. I cannot remember her name now, but the lady on the phone was great and spoke to the shop manager, Matt, and arranged a workshop time. It was on a holiday weekend too. By the time we got there, they had a few others attending the workshop too and, unbeknownst to me, I was given the gift of attending the workshop. Yay! The guys (Matt, Justin, Seth and Brent) did an OUSTANDING job. Plenty of instruction, practice and guidance. They gave us as much or as little hands on as we wanted in making our glass pieces. Usually Jack does the workshops, but I would not hesitate in recommending any of those guys to instruct a class. We look forward to going there again next time we are in the area. The workshop is 2 hours and it is less than an hour and a beautiful drive from Columbus...so if you are in the area be sure to check them out. BTW, we were all adults (not teens) and had a great time!
