I recently grabbed dinner at Jack the Ripperl by the Taubenmarkt in Linz. The name hints at ribs—and wow, do they deliver. The moment I opened the menu, I realized this place is serious about ribs (they’ve been honing their craft since '74 in Upper Austria).
I dove into their BBQ ribs—tender, smoky, and nicely caramelized. Then I tried the Pulled Rip Burger, stacked with juicy rib meat, coleslaw, and melted cheddar—everything felt rich yet balanced. A side of crispy onion rings rounded it out perfectly.
Service was laid-back and friendly. They helped me choose size options and sauces without any fuss, and the pace was chill enough to relax.
This is comfort food done right—big flavors in a cozy, casual spot with heart. Jack the Ripperl is a must-visit in Linz for anyone who loves ribs done well. I can’t wait to go back for their monthly specials—those look fantastic.
