My son and I had a wonderful experience during our stay at Jackalope, a place recommended by a friend. We stayed in the Lair suite, which was beautifully designed and offered stunning views, and we were extremely pleased with our choice. The level of service matched the impressive accommodation. The staff were consistently polite, respectful, and eager to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. I want to give a special shout-out to the Easter long weekend staff for their exceptional service. The only downside to the room was the unreliable Bluetooth connection, which failed miserably. The food exceeded our expectations, especially considering my celiac condition, and the drink pairings were excellent. Every meal was a delightful experience. We also took advantage of the amenities, including the sauna and spa. The yoga and massage sessions were incredibly relaxing for both of us. Overall, Jackalope is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy great service and food. I will certainly share my recommendation with friends and family!

We came with high expectations for our 35th wedding anniversary and Jackalope delivered. We booked the 2 day package which includes dinner at Doot Doot Doot. Breakfast daily and $100 towards lunch at Rare Hare, and lots more. Dinner at Doot Doot Doot was exceptional. Amazing food and service to boot. Now we have travelled the world and dined at many a good restaurant and this stacks up against the best. Breakfast service is next level. The spanner crab omelette is the best I have had, not to mention great coffee. Don't forget Rare Hare for lunch. Again the food and service did not disappoint. A big shout out to Max and Leanne at reception, service with a smile and genuine engagement which is rare. I see from other posts that their rooms faced the car park. Yes, we had the same, but they are well appointed and did not think this was a negative. Free mini bar included, not to mention the free popcorn and ice cream was a fantastic idea. We had dinner on the second night at another top rated winery with sculptures, and it came nowhere near Jacklope. Oh! Forgot to mention the free transfer within a 10 klm radius of the hotel, another bonus, great Lexus SUV. If you are thinking of something special, classy and unforgettable then Jackalope is the place for you. I will be back.

We had such a lovely experience at Jackalope celebrating our babymoon. Not only was the property and scenery breathtaking, but the service was excellent. Specifically, Lynn in the breakfast restaurant went out of her way to take care of me and my husband during our stay. When she realized I enjoyed coconut yogurt with breakfast, she went out to purchase coconut yogurt and the next morning and for the rest of the stay I enjoyed Australian coconut yogurt every morning! She always made sure we had enough coffee including to-go in the mornings, and was always smiling and kind. Really made a difference in our experience! Thank you for such a fabulous stay.

Kumara, Rachel and Delilah were warm, kind and helpful as we navigated your hotel. Your barrel room and wine tasting were nice. We had no idea about this aspect of Jackalope. We purchased the Pinot Noir, sparkling wine and rosé. The property is stunning—the garden, the vineyard beside the serene lake.|Brilliant! Doot, Doot, Doot was an experience not to be forgotten! Delicious but also an experience for all the senses. Kushan brought wine bottles to our table and let our daughter sample the reisling so that she would order just the right pairing. He recommended a delicious Shiraz to my husband. His passion for wine, service and people was clear. Corrie and Grace were warm and took great care of us. Your dessert chef came out to greet us. The snacks were delightful. The chandelier was spectacular and the lighting ‘wowed’ us! ||We felt very special by the time we left. Exquisite service, kindness and attention. Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel (March 15th to 16th 2025) , thanks to the outstanding service from the staff. The reception team was incredibly polite and helpful from the moment we arrived. A special mention to Naveen, who patiently guided us to our room and took the time to explain all the features and amenities — it really made us feel welcomed and comfortable. When we were leaving, Kumara at the reception was equally helpful, ensuring that our departure was smooth and hassle-free. Their professionalism and warmth made a big difference in our experience. The restaurant food was consistently good — both lunch and breakfast were enjoyable, with a nice variety and well-prepared dishes. However, the room service food fell short of expectations, and the poolside food was not up to the standard we expected from such a well-regarded hotel. Overall, the excellent service from the staff, especially Naveen and Kumara, stood out and made our stay memorable. With some improvements to the room service and poolside menu, this would be a perfect experience. Thank you, Valentine & Renuka Halliday

Booking Jackalope Hotels in March was the best thing I did! I took my partner here for our anniversary and it’s a hotel I’ve had on my list to visit for YEARS! Words can’t describe how amazing it was! Loved all the mini bar freebies, the included wine tasting, bottomless popcorn & ice cream and for March we were lucky enough to experience their outdoor cinema which I hope they do again!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at your hotel, and I must say, the experience was mostly wonderful. The food was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. The ambiance and overall experience were exactly what we had hoped for in a relaxing getaway. However, I do want to bring up a concern regarding the spa. After using the facilities, both of our bathers were severely discolored. Alex’s Gant shorts $140 and my Hunza G bathers $315 were both ruined. (See photo as i manage to travk down and purchase another pair of the same shorts) as well as my husband getting a rash. (Myself being pregnant i only sat on the step thankfully but this has given a stripe across my bathers). See photos- getting in vs getting out. This was incredibly disappointing, as it put a real damper on what would have been a perfect stay. Given the quality of the hotel and the enjoyment we had up until that point, I’m hopeful that the hotel can offer some form of compensation or resolution regarding the damage to our clothing. We really want to return, but we hope steps can be taken to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to hearing from you .

I was traveling on business to Australia and decided to take a few extra days to explore. I had read about the Jackalope in a magazine as it opened in April 2017. The newly opened Jackalope which is on The Mornington Peninsula, about an hour's drive south of Melbourne, is a $40 million luxury hotel on the Willow Creek winery with restaurants Rare Hare and Doot Doot Doot. My favorite dining option was the Rare Hare, a casual drop-in eatery, food store and and wine tasting barn offering smoked artichokes with burrata and venison carpaccio with views of the vines. I loved breakfast which included the likes of spiced lamb and fried eggs or crisp chive-flecked waffles with smoked salmon with a well made strong coffee to get your day started. I stayed in the vineyard room which had a great view over the infinity pool and vineyard. The room was spacious and luxurious with sleek black furnishings. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had underfloor heating, the double rain shower was amazing and the little nook outside the bathroom was convenient for relaxing. At checkout the amazing service continued as I was offered several water bottles for my hour long journey back to the city and given awesome black bag luggage tags as a parting gift. FIVE STARS as I highly recommend Jackalope for its luxury, its special touches, its awesome attentive staff, and its beautiful location.
