"Since then the couple has opened Jackrabbit Cafe, where they’re doling out astonishingly good Scandinavian pastry using heritage grains, and serving joe from nearby Time & Tide Coffee."

The vibes are immaculate. Every time I go here it's a treat and a half. The French Toast has a carmalized finish, the jam and cream spread pairs nicely for a sweet and soft dessert dish for breakfast. The squash and mushroom on rye has a perfected flavor profile with grated cheese and pesto being all savory but hitting several different notes of savory during the bite, I would recommend coming again and ordering this dish again.

Stopped by to pick-up the potato and smoked salmon, and left with a box full of pastries as well. Cute, clean interior for sit-down (we chose to take-out), with a carefully curated menu offering. The smoked salmon was delicious, with a very generous potato cake on the side. For pastries we tried the spelta, cardamom, poppy seed and citrus danish. Would recommend all of it (if you’re hungry enough!)

This was by far one of the best sit down breakfast experiences I've had in the Saco biddeford area. The menu, while limited was exquisite. I ordered the soft scrambled eggs and a simple pour over coffee. I felt like royalty, the beautiful plates my food was served on, and the way the coffee was served. It was a great experience and I will be returning. I also ordered some pastries to go, the cardamom roll, fantastic.

Came with a friend and it was a great experience. Such a good chai tea, great food selections and the pastries - I could go just for the pastries. Love the atmosphere and vibe. Will definitely be back.

Google
Solid 3 stars. I didn’t find the food super amazing but the pastries were good. Staff isn’t super friendly in my opinion.

Google
Amazing pastries and reasonable prices for the quality. Great breakfast and lunch options, solid staff. This place is the sister venue to elda which is excellent. Will go back!!

Yelp
Small cafe with lots of little surprises! The food and ambiance looks very Swedish, including the poach eggs and scrambled ones. Lots of small baked goods at the entrance too, highly recommend for brunch. Self service once you order and sit down.

Yelp
This place is a gem. They have good food and super friendly staff. Food is worth the wait, yes there is quite a wait time before food is served. I really enjoyed the delicious and flaky croissants. The croissants are on the savory side. I also had the refreshing chicken salad smorrebrod which looks beautiful. The chicken salad is on the more sour side.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out since I heard about it at Rabelais. I invited a friend out to talk life and have some cries but to do it in style at this Scandinavian inspired cafe. Jackrabbit is a lovely, bright, Scandinavian cafe that serves some of the best pastries I've found in Maine. Even though I heard about it first from the book shop, I heard about it second when I saw they have Cardamom buns. I've tried making these and didn't quite get it right, so I wanted to know how they should taste. At this visit, we ordered a citrus danish, a Semla (cream pastry) and a cardamom bun. I also had a few other things to go such as the cinnamon roll and this other bergamot curd dessert which I can't remember the name. I also tried the honey cake, and we both ordered a cortado (me) and a hot chocolate (friend). When my cortado came out, my friend gasped saying she wanted something as pretty, but that normally hot chocolate doesn't have nice designs. Lo and behold when hers came out it had a beautiful design on the Choco milk foam. Every single pastry was delicious. I was less of a fan of the cakes, but every pastry was bomb. The cardamom bun exceeded every expectation and I will be trying to replicate this once again. The interior is also just lovely. Their tables are totally ikea, but the esthetic is the light birch wood with mint/spring green for all their cups and chairs. Definitely a lovely experience worth the mileage to Biddeford. Like I've said before, Biddeford is the breakfast capital of Maine.

Yelp
Prime location, easy to find & lots of parking. Stopped in for a quick Coffee and a snack. This cake is adorable! Plants and sunlight, everything looked clean. The Barista was welcoming and very friendly, she offered I try their dirty chai latte. It was probably the best dirty chai I've had! Also they have amazing croissants & food options.

Yelp
It's hard to find a spot with great coffee and baked goods outside Portland, and this place meets that criteria! I will definitely be coming back...

Yelp
Delicious croissants, excellent breakfast, matcha was great. I wanted to eat more of the pastries, but restrained myself. They all look so good.

Yelp
Super nice folks, great service, incredible espresso and delicious sourdough. Excited to go back and try some more dank pastries.

Yelp
Best pastries I have ever had. OMG!!! Flakey soft and sweet. I couldn't believe how good the food is. Mind blown!!!

Yelp
Fantastic more approachable sister restaurant to the dinner only Elda Maine, this spot is staffed and managed by the same world class folks. So many unusual flavorful combinations that bring their baked goods, meals and sandwiches to a whole next level of yum! So much surprise creativity and joy, if you are in Biddeford and looking for an extraordinary breakfast or lunch this is the place to go!

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast cafe! Beautiful facilities. Helpful, pleasant staff. Unique Scandinavian dishes and pastries and the best coffee I've had in Maine. Definitely will come again and bring friends.

Yelp
Adorable little cafe with helpful staff and amazing food. Their coffee and breads are amazing. Food presentation is warm and hearty, you know you're getting food made with love.

Yelp
A great new place in the mills in Biddo! A little hard to find at first but always lots of street parking. Staff is great, inside clean, great menu. I love the beet and grapefruit juice. I'd buy bottles if they had it! Love to see something unique and original around here

Yelp
So glad we finally tried this place. Pastries were amazingly delicious. These are a cut above most of the bakery options outside of Portland. The coffee was great too although a tad expensive. The indoor space is super cute too...definitely somewhere I'd want to have a nice Saturday breakfast in any season.

Yelp
We had a delicious breakfast this morning but a very, very long wait for our order to be delivered to the table. We waited at least 25 min for our iced coffees and the meals delivered 15 min after that. Once, served the food was delicious but small portions: Buttery Rye Noodles w/roasted mushrooms ($15) and Crispy Potato Cake w/ smoked salmon, crème fraiche, pickled vegetables ($15). Not sure I'd go back.

Yelp
No contact number, location unknown, no gps app will help find the store, no amount of driving will help you either

Yelp
The place is clean and bright with simple plants and simple furniture. You order at the counter, and your food is brought to the table. You help yourself to water, napkins, and silverware. The portions are on the skimpy side for what you pay. The French toast has sugar on it which isn't mentioned on the menu. The apple butter is quite good. The coffee is strong which is a fine thing. The leek soup is served with good bread but is nothing special. The squash salad was tasty, but the squash could have been cooked a bit more. No one rushes you out, so it is a good place to go with friends. I would think about going back if either the portions were larger or the prices were a couple of bucks less. It is across the street from the barber shop. Look for a small rabbit on the brick building,14 Main Street, near Emery.

Yelp
The pastries here are so special! Lots of cardamom and cinnamon flavors. Nothing is too sweet, but all very satisfying. Lovely cafe space with plenty of seating, comfy chairs, and they serve Time & Tide coffee! A gem!

Yelp
Awesome find! Great atmosphere, coffee, and food. Will definitely be back. We got the katsu chicken sandwich (phenomenal) and the avocado hummus on sourdough which was also amazing.

Janet H.

Yelp
Best food I've had in Maine, hands down. Unlike many restaurants in Maine, Jackrabbit does not rely too heavily upon fat to flavor their food. I've found that even many highly rated restaurants in Portland are unbalanced and favor fattiness for flavor. I've tried everything on jackrabbit's menu and it all is wonderful: novel, exciting and savory taste combinations. It's also very affordable for how high quality and well thought out each dish is. It's worth the travel, so go today! Be sure to check their hours as they are only open half the week and half the day. Each time I go I buy food for a few meals because it's just so good!

Yelp
Fabulous place! The lamb sandwich and the shrimp and egg open-faced sandwich were both absolutely amazing. The best sandwiches we've had in a long while. We drove down from Portland and it was so worth it. Also the space is really charming- beautifully redone old brick industrial/mill building. A perfect place to relax and have a cup of coffee, lunch, and meet friends. So nice to have a fantastic lunch place especially now when so many of Portland's best restaurants are still only open for dinner.
