DO NOT GO TO JACKS. The staff are entitled, rude, unfair, and do not deserve your money or time. (See below for details) There are plenty other options. I will not lie, this is a great bar, and the band Pink Miami were fantastic, so do follow them and see them in any other venue because I don’t want them to suffer because of this. But the Jacks staff were some of the worst I’ve experienced on any ski holiday I have ever been on. I went to Jacks with 5 other friends, the band was bouncing and honestly it was a great vibe alround. However when we went to get a drink at the bar and, (I’m all for bar staff for having a drink on shift but..) a guy behind the bar gave me the hand to the face when I was next line to order, telling me to wait so that he could do a shot. I had already been waiting for 15 mins for a drink so, whist this was annoying but okay…this wasn’t the best start. Then we went to enjoy the band. They were great, there were people dancing on tables, mosh pitting, crowd surfing, on peoples shoulders, being mental and just generally having a great time. My friend then went up on my another friend’s shoulders (as many others had done before her). She then lost balance and accidentally reached for the nearest object to her which happened to be a flag pinned to the ceiling for the six nations which where occurring at the time. As soon as this happened a man called Darcy (who’s name who we found out subsequently from equally frustrated patrons) immediately and aggressively asked me and my friends to leave. Shocked at the the very minimal disruption my friend’s off balance had had and by Darcy’s aggressive reaction, I asked calmly why he was chucking all us out. He then was incredibly condescending and said that my friends’ actions had “affected the structure of the building” and that “it added to the jobs he had to do for tomorrow”. Given the flag was temporary and was clearly held up by a simple tac, I found this quite infuriating that we were all being thrown out for what was an honest mistake. We then got physically escorted out of the venue even though we posed no threat and were being quite compliant given the circumstances. When I expressed my frustration to the staff, saying how disappointed I was and that I would be telling people of about our experience, the staff told us that they “made enough money” and they “didn’t need us to come back”. I am not one to give reviews at all to be honest, but I have never been treated like this by staff and do not want anyone else to treated the same. The attitude of this place needs to change and clearly so does the management. For anyone visiting meribel, DO NOT GO HERE. Instead go to the Taverne, le pub, fifty fifty bar, le tremplin, scots, or brewers den…anywhere else in meribel that will treat you with respect. ANYWHERE BUT JACKS. The staff are entitled, rude, unfair, and do not deserve your money or time. Therefore I felt entitled to give this review.

Hands down the best bar in the Alps! We're so lucky that this place has been part of our holiday, and it really is the gift that keeps on giving. Their food is EXCEPTIONAL, and I do not say that lightly. No wonder they are full for lunch every day, no matter the weather. On top of that, it is the best après-ski I've ever experienced. The fantastic staff create such an amazing atmosphere and every day they create a party like no other, and the bands that play here are unbelievably talented! If you're ever in Méribel, GO TO JACKS. It will take your holiday to a whole new level!

Had the carnavore pizza, asked if it was spicy and was told a little spicy , i asked if it be a little bit more spicy and told no problem. It comes with a korean bbq sauce which was new to me and amazingly tasty Cant recommend highly enough easily one of the best pizzas ive ever had. The only reason i marked the atmosphere as a 4 was because i was in there real early due having injured myself and the rest of the guys were still on the mountain . It seems to be a really popular spot Very reasonable price as well 2 glasses of vino and the pizza 41 euros The house white wasnt to my taste the 2nd glass of wine which was different was lovely , i will do some taste testing this afternoon when i return as my Last day treat 😁😁😁

I had an amazing lunch at an amazing ! I highly recommend this restaurant in Meribel ! The food was excellent. Special shoutout to our server, Nathan, who was friendly, very smiley, and gave us great recommendations. Truly a wonderful experience !

I'm not usually a reviewer but I feel like this place needs a bit of a kick in the backside. Considering it has such a prime location in Meribel it really needs to up it's game. Firstly the toilets are grim - enough said about that. The place just seems badly managed, understaffed and chaotic. The service is painfully slow - I'm talking 20+ minutes for a beer and an Aperol once you've ordered. We only had bar snacks (wings, pizza, fries) to eat but I wouldn't order any of them again even if I was desperate. Having said that the staff are nice enough and the band was pretty good.

didn't eat as was an apre ski evening. great band, very energetic crowd, really good atmosphere with very friendly and efficient service. without doubt the best are in Meribel. only 4 stars as didn't eat so can't comment

We had a good dinner here when we stopped late on the way to meribel motteret and it was fab, but more importantly our waiter helped us with our broken snow chains. We were able to continue our journey up to motteret where we had a perfect holiday. Thank you!

Food was brilliant, and drinks reasonably priced. Our server Matt was great and always happy to help.
