This is a lovely home in the heart of the historic King William district, perfectly situated near plenty of restaurants and only a 10 minute walk to the convention center. We enjoyed the jetted tub in our room as well as the spa in the rear of the house. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Beverages were available in the dining room as well as snacks. Our price did not include breakfast, but one day I arranged with the main house to go up to eat and I was not disappointed. I would definitely recommend Jackson House to anyone that would like to get away from the overly touristy Riverwalk area.

This place was very quaint and charming. The neighborhood was beautiful and looked more like Louisiana than Texas! There were refreshments available everyday in the common area downstairs, but they freeze their cookies after cooking and the serve them later so I would avoid that. We had a lovely room with a fireplace and a claw foot tub, but there were some stains on the carpet, oh well! Overall it was clean and very unique!

Quaint, historical b n b located very close to the riverwalk and shopping. When booking your room via their website you have the option of three different beautifully restored b n b’s. You can book a large room with comfy bed and convenient amenities or you can book an entire house.|With the whole pandemic issues, the breakfast is continental and can be eaten in your room or on a porch.|The owner’s family is some of the first settlers in San Antonio which is cool in itself.|I personally love the indoor pool in the Jackson House which is the one one that is rented as a whole house, so it’s great for reunions, weddings etc.|You can’t go wrong with any of the rooms/ properties.

My mom and I canceled our Schlitterbahn reservations due to rain and needed a back up plan. After looking at a ton of Airbnb and B&B options we settled on room #5 at the Jackson House (Noble Inns). It was a very nice experience and I would definitely come here again. ||You have to check in at the Oge House just down the block, but it's such a beautiful house that I'm glad we had a chance to see it. There is private parking at both houses. The Oge house is the only Noble Inn location with a staff member stationed there during the day. They also have a DVD library that you can check out movies from. We had no issues checking in the the staff member who helped us was very nice.||The Jackson House is very close to downtown, but in a quiet location. We could see the Tower of the American light up at night from the skylight in our room. The front doors remain locked at all Noble Inns and you are given a key code for access (LOVED this - felt very safe). The house has a quant yard with places to sit on the front porch and in the back (which was private). There is a tiny pool in a green house, but the water was too chilly so we did not get it. I was hoping it was more of a spa/heated pool but it didn't seem heated. Probably great in the summer though.||The common area was just two rooms, but they were very nicely appointed with plenty of seating and water, ice, lemonade, coffee, hot tea, port and sherry (plus glasses and mugs). There is also a mini fridge and microwave that guests can share. We only say one other couple the entire time despite knowing other people were staying in the house. It was very private and quiet overall.||We stayed in an upstairs room, which had sloping walls on one side. I'm not sure a tall person would love it, but I am average height and had no problem. The room was cozy with a nice window seat and antique chair. Plenty of room for luggage. Bathroom was a good size and seemed very clean there were a few dark spots on the tile grout of the shower ceiling but not anywhere else - didn't bother me). There was a small TV and DVD player, as well as your standard hotel items (phone, bathroom toiletries, alarm clock, etc). The bed was so-so but the lines were clean and soft. The house does have central air, but you can't adjust it and it's not overly cold. Despite having a ceiling fan it was about 1-2 degrees warmer than I prefer. I wondered what summertime would feel like. ||I would easily stay here again - either in the same room or any other room. I liked that the upstairs room were cheaper. This was a great place for mother-daughter or couples. ||Note: we chose not to include breakfast with our stay because we aren't breakfast eaters and also because we didn't want to have to walk/drive to the Oge house each morning (this saves about $10 a night). I do not regret our decision as there are a million restaurants within driving distance to the house (not walking distance though). |

Good location in King William Historic District. Plenty of bars and dining options nearby. About three blocks from River Walk and then another 15 to the Downtown River Walk area. 20 minutes to Alamo by Walk or at street level. ||||Some minuses: breakfast is in another house, about a two block walk. Only one choice of main course at breakfast. If you don't like eggs, you may end up with yogurt, granola, and fruit. Bathroom has shower in a claw foot tub. Charming, but hard to get in and out of. No grab-bar, so use good balance if washing feet! Rooms don't have dedicated temperature controls. We were there on a cold night and needed those covers!||||Pluses: charming and clean. Very pleasant staff. Wifi works. Private off-street parking. ||||Note: drinking water is available in a pitcher on the first floor. There are styrofoam cups and glasses for transport. If you plan to walk the town, bring a bottle for water.

I have stayed at the Jackson House 2 previous times and enjoyed both stays. However, my most recent stay was extremely disappointing. The spa pool-- which is one of the reasons I chose this b & b--was dirty. There were leaves and debris at the bottom and debris floating on top. There were no pool tools in sight. On my 2nd night, I was startled awake at 3 a.m. by the sound of a glass being thrown against the wall in the room opposite mine. That was followed by screaming and swearing and a woman crying. I called the owner who told me to call the police. He asked if I wanted him to come over and I said yes because I was afraid. The police came and told the couple across the hall to sleep it off. I never saw the owner. I barely slept, not knowing if the fight would start again, if the man would be angry that I called the police. The owner left me a vm message saying that the police would not let him in the house. Perhaps that was true -- but the police left after about 15 minutes. I believe that the owner should have asked the couple to leave in order to make the rest of the guests feel safer and to ensure a quiet night. The next day, the owner was nowhere to be found. His 20 yr old daughter apologized for the previous night. She said that her fsther would be sending an email with an apology and discount for a future visit. I never received any email other than this survey. I will never stay there again.

The wife owner of this places is its saving grace. The husband owner was rude and lacks communication skills. The heated pool is the main reason we choose this location. It wasnt working until the last nights stay. The owner the DVD player in the room didn't work. Left soils in tub like requested by instruction binder and wasnt taken nor replaced. Called owner again and took until the next morning to be changed. DVD remote was finally given and fixed on last day also. 1 out of 3 nights not too bad. Wouldn't stay here again! The price for accommodations not working and lack of communication leaves a bad taste in ones mouth.

It's a cozy old Victorian style house. The service is outstanding. Cookies, single serving coffee, lemonade, assorted teas and ice in the freezer downstairs living room and sitting room. Jackson rm 6 has a gas fire place, TV, night stand with a lock box and king sized bed. The only issue we had was there isn't a microwave and fridge in the room.

Yelp
My experience at The Jackson House B&B was terrific. It's actually part of a conglomerate made up with 2 other B&B's that form the Noble House Inns. We stayed in Room 3 on the first floor. The exterior of the house is plush with bushes and grass with a garden. In the backyard area, there was a housed indoor pool - an unexpected surprise. Cindy, the innkeeper was fantastic! She was extremely warm and welcoming when we first arrived. She provided maps, points of interests, and fantastic restaurants to dine at while we were spending an extended weekend here. She was also the server at breakfast in the mornings. The Jackson House is located right on the outskirts of the heart of San Antonio. Every attraction, (The Riverwalk, Alamo and Alamo Plaza, Tower of the Americas, and lots of restaurants) were all within less than a mile of walking distance. So, besides being in a prime location, The Jackson House was a vintage throwback B&B with a southern charm feel. The room had a fireplace and a giant bathtub as well. In the early afternoons chocolate chip cookies, lemonade, and iced water were provided in the lobby guest area. Breakfast was freshly prepared each morning. You started with a cup of fruit and then served eggs or pancakes, home baked muffins, crisp bacon and or potatoes. Everything was tasty and packed with a hearty punch. The dining room was actually located in the main B&B inn called The Oge House - about 2 blocks away, which you can either walk to each morning or hop in the car for a quick drive. Overall, The Jackson House provided all the pleasant charms of a southern B&B that you'd come to expect. It certainly made my San Antonio getaway a special one!

Yelp
Such a charming B&B in a quaint area of San Antonio just off the Riverwalk. If your not into busy hotels or looking for something quaint, I highly recommend the Jackson house. Not to mention the price is reasonable and parking is free! We stayed in room #6 and loved everything about it from the skylights, the fireplace, the antique claw foot bath, and the plush bedding, it was perfect. The breakfast was not gourmet but very tasty and definitely better than the generic complimentary breakfast you get at chain hotels! Cookies and lemonade are kept in the dining area for afternoon snack. Didn't get to enjoy the pool but it's nice that we had the option! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We had a weekend getaway at the Jackson House located in the King Williams area. It is definitely a cut above your comparably priced national hotel chains like the Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott. We had a queen size canopy bed with a gas fireplace which promotes a romantic atmosphere. We had nice stemware in our bedroom and nice glassware in our bathroom which had a a jacuzzi. The wooden floors, the high ceilings, the complimentary port and sherry was a nice touch. The staff was friendly, accessible and professional and because of this we left them a generous tip because that kind of service is rare. The owner Ron Noble is approachable and friendly. We will stay here again and recommend the Jackson House/Noble Inns to our family and friends.

Yelp
A mere couple of blocks from the Riverwalk lies this remarkable little mansion. From the outside, it does not seem like much, but once you walk inside, you kind of step into another era. All of the furniture seems like they came from an antique shop. We had an upstairs room with a fire place, and it was very quaint. Even the carpets were plush. There is a small indoor pool right in the backyard that's pretty handsome. We had to walk around the corner to Oge house for breakfast every morning, but it was worth it. Food was fresh and delicious. They give you fresh cookies, lemonade and some wine every afternoon, which was a nice touch. Our host, Meghan was quick to address any of our needs, and had many awesome tips if you have any questions about the area. Skip the hotel, and stay here if you are looking to explore San Antonio.

Yelp
Super cute place!! Location unbeatable. Very affordable. Delicious homemade breakfast made daily, free parking free wifi - all a rarity these days in hotels!

Yelp
We spent just one night in the Jackson House at Noble Inns. The King William neighborhood where this is located is beautiful and peaceful. A quick walk to the Riverwalk. The room has everything you need. The staff, especially Cindy and Liesl, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They always made sure we had everything we need. I highly recommend a stay here for couples looking to get away.

Yelp
If you like quaint, old house with poor upkeep ( peeling wallpaper, stains on walls ), slippery steps, doors (to the hall)with large gaps, old, uncomfortable bed with very rough linen, worn out towels with holes, hot stuffy room (guests have no control over the thermostat) with musty odor, being lectured by rude and condescending innkeeper about their many rules, eat uninspiring food by "appointment", unfriendly staff, boarding house experience (instead of being waited on in a real luxury hotel), don't mind being scolded by innkeeper for being too forceful on the door handle and door bell (which didn't work properly because it had been broken by another guest previously and still not fixed), then you'll love the Jackson house ("the river walk luxury hotel"). Frankly we were a bit disgusted by the rude, condescending, full of excuses treatment from the innkeeper and the lack of service from staff. We had used 2 washcloths and a hand towel and wanted them replaced so we put them in the bath tub as instructed. When we got back to the room that night, our dirty washcloths and hand towel were hanging back up on the bathtub faucets (instead of clean and dry washcloths). When we got to the room Friday afternoon, there were some black ants on the sink which we had killed, when we left Sunday morning those same ants were still there so not much cleaning was going on in that room. We were asked for any special dietary needs/requests when we called to make reservation, I told the innkeeper (Megan, pronounced Me-Gun) that my husband is diabetic so we would like sugar free, low fat, healthy breakfast. When we arrived for breakfast we were served the same meal as everyone else starting with 1/2 grapefruit loaded with brown sugar on top. It was a very disappointing and unpleasant stay, we will not come back. We have been coming to San Antonio for many, many years for short weekend getaways and have stayed at many different type of hotels (from3-5 stars), never one with such a negative experience as we had at this property. Stayed October 2015

Yelp
We stayed in the Jackson House and I have quite a list of complaints...... to start with, the innkeeper was so rude, condescending and unfriendly. She started our trip off on a bad note! We arrive at the house and the room was hot and muggy (you have no control over the a/c), outdated, sheets were rough, bed was absolutely uncomfortable, shower horrible, bath towels were old and needing to be replaced, multiple times there were no cups so I could get coffee, no iron, and the "robe" was a joke. We asked for the continental breakfast the inn offers at anytime, sorry my idea of a bed and breakfast doesn't include having an exavt sitting time I have to REPORT for breakfast at a house, in the rain no less, two blocks away! This caused drama as the innkeeper was annoyed with our request. I don't know why since all she did was throw some watered down orange juice, a dry muffin and gross melon in the fridge the NIGHT BEFORE! What a joke for a b&b, there's a reason every other bed and breakfast in San Antonio was booked but this had multiple available rooms this weekend! To thibk, we were going to check the grounds out to have our wedding there-ha!

Yelp
My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at The Jackson house the first week of June, 2014. When making the reservation Meeghan was very helpful, as she was upon and throughout our arrival. You can walk to the Riverwalk area, but with the heat we found ourselves cabbing it. Usually a $7.00 cab fare. Both of our rooms were upstairs. Pristine and very quiet. A home away from home. Meeghan would leave freshly baked cookies downstairs in the dining room area. We like ice water so she would always be sure to leave ice in the fridge for us. Enterprise rent-a-car is just across the street, so should you decide to rent a car it couldn't be easier. We would walk to the the Oge House which is two blocks away in the morning for breakfast. It was the perfect way to start off the day. The dining room has 20 foot ceilings and Meeghan would prepare a delicious breakfast served on fine china. The room has large windows so you can look out and enjoy the beautiful morning. I would highly recommend The Noble Inns.

Yelp
The wife and booked the Jackson House Rm.1 for our 16th anniversary for four nights and enjoyed the old romantic atmosphere the entire stay! From the time we arrived until the final day. Our innkeeper was new to the area but her attitude was old fashion and warm. We had the pool house to ourself the entire stay. The breakfast each morning was elegant and tasty! We booked the complete Ultimate Romance Package, a must for an anniversary or honeymooners! We did make the mistake of taking the seer sucker Noble robe as part of the package but was informed before we got out of the city limits that the robes were not included in our package so we had to turn around and return the robes! We will always hold this place as one of our favorites and Megan and her staff as top notch!

Yelp
My wife and I made a reservation at Noble Inns in November 2013 for a romantic weekend getaway in December 2013. We have never stayed at this bed and breakfast, and we were excited to have found it. I encountered a kidney stone attack a few days before our reservation date and had to have a lithotripsy procedure on the Friday we were supposed to arrive for our two-night stay. Consistent with their written Cancellation Policy, we called prior to 3:00 pm on the day of arrival -- so they agreed to hold our full deposit and allow us to stay at a future date and said we would be assessed a minimal processing fee for the re-booking according to their contract terms. We re-booked our two-night stay for January 2014 and paid an upgrade charge at that time for a nicer room. A few days prior to that reservation arrival in January 2014 our daughter had several serious medical complications, so we called Noble Inns again to cancel, fully abiding by their Cancellation Policy to contact them by 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. We were told then that we could re-book our two-night stay again (for a third time), and we agreed to contact them later in 2014 to make arrangements. We recently contacted them and tried to make a reservation for a two-night stay the week after Christmas 2014. We are now told by them that our two prior cancellations caused them to lose a lot of money because they were not able to re-book our rooms, and the best they will offer us is a $100 credit but only if we book and fully pre-pay for another two-night stay. We paid them $441.32 for the December 2013 reservation. We paid them $186.80 for the upgrade charge in January 2014. And, they charged our credit card an additional $150 for the re-booking fee even though their written policy states this fee will be $25 or 10% of the deposit, whichever is greater (we should have been charged $44.13 at most). So ... they have charged our credit card three times for a total of $778.12, and they now want to offer us a $100 credit but only if we agree to let them charge our credit card again for the full amount of a new two-night stay. This seems incredibly unfair, unreasonable, poor business practice, poor customer service, and is inconsistent with their written policies. Needless to say, we will never give them another dime of our money.
