Jackson Lake Island is a slice of paradise, offering a quiet place to build a fire, sit in a reclining camp chair, feel a breeze, listen to birds, contemplate things, or fish, or camp, or when it’s warmer swim, or kayak, walk & get your steps in, interact with some goats, explore an old movie set, and just relax & enjoy… This area is blessed to have this location open to the public for about $5. I’ve been here many times & every time I’m reminded of what makes it so special.
