Jacksons Motor Inn

My recent stay at this establishment was exceptionally unsatisfactory. The visual representation provided online did not accurately reflect the actual condition of the accommodations. Our room presented several issues: The curtains were excessively long and noticeably soiled, and the windows appeared to have been uncleaned for an extended period. The bathroom floor exhibited a significant slope, raising concerns about the structural integrity of the room in relation to the main building. The shower drainage was useless due the slope, leading to water seeping into the wall. Furthermore, the bathroom tiles appeared to be on the verge of detaching. Over a four-night stay, we were provided with only four sachets of coffee, four sachets of sugar, and a single coffee cup. A request for fresh towels, following the wetting of our existing ones, was acknowledged with a promise of delivery within 20 minutes, which was not fulfilled. Our request for room servicing on the final night was also disregarded, necessitating further follow-up for towels and coffee supplies. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was nearly empty, and a request for replenishment resulted in a minimal addition of approximately 2cm of product. While we typically travel with our own provisions such as coffee and toiletries, a recent urgent situation prevented us from doing so, leaving us reliant on the hotel's amenities. Given the multitude of issues encountered, I strongly advise against selecting this accommodation if alternative options are available. The conditions were regrettable to the extent that I would prefer to sleep in my vehicle rather than return. Our booking was made under duress, as we had recently experienced a family bereavement and had traveled from Queensland, primarily seeking a bed, shower, and coffee. I experienced a degree of discomfort upon entering the reception area due to the presence of individuals who appeared to be undesirable. This establishment was my preferred accommodation three decades ago when I resided in South Australia, and it was indeed splendid, precisely as depicted in the online imagery.

Among the most affordable during the period. Our room has enough space for four people. Their beds were comfortable. Looks a bit outdated, but it was actually a regular motel. Wifi was available, and shower was pretty strong. Friendly staff.

The Room was Fine for my Requirements...An extended stay but it had all the amenities. The Service was Polite, All the Rooms features worked well, it was basic but clean and comfortable,and really good value for money. Parking was tight on a first in first serve basis, but really wasn't a problem...The staff were Helpful,so overall it was a great stay.

There is a massive crack in the foot[ath where we stayed hwich went up to the car park and had lifted part of the concrete, not ideal for a vision impaired person to manipulate, and there were aware I had vision issues amd mobility issues. Also the floor of the room was not completely flat, there was like a small hill across the middle of the room. can't fault anything else :)

I stayed at this motel and the conditions of the room were dirty. The shower was terrible kept making noises and making the people next door bang on my wall. The room was disgusting, Very dusty, untidy, smelt terrible, Bedding was gross, not enough pillows, Chairs in the room I had was filthy, Smelt like crazy amounts of POOH like not even joking..... Cop cars would come in and out of this place when you were trying to either sleep or just have a smoke out the way of the rooms and question you about what your doing. Not enough toilet paper. Fridge sounded like it was going to blow up. Dust all over the carpet of the room and stains were covering everything in the room. The water in the shower was messed up as the other rooms used it just to mess with us. The sink water was much warmer then the shower. There was stains of blood on the carpet, On check out I let the reception know to kindly move out of my way multiple times so I could move my belongings from the room and she refused to move. She was rude and started talking in her language to another lady. I also said to her I don't appreciate you taling in your language if it's about me speak up in english please..... The cleaners were listening and moved but reception damned the cleaner to clean the room I was coming out of straight away when they were busy doing other rooms. There was people flicking on and off my power in the room. And I found that disrespectful. The whole stay I had there lasted 2 nights. Yes it may have a pool but it had bugs in it when I inspected it. And where the bins were there was coach roaches riddled in that area, Terrible smell in every direction of the rooms, On check in the lady was sort of nice. But, The room on check in was disgusting and smelt so bad. Toilet was old and was dirty. Yes the sink may have been new but everything in that room was terrible. You may try to talk yourself up about this place on the websites but it's absolutely filthy. The first and last time we will stay at this motel, Adelaide is booked out, all we could get. Other motels/hotels have inflated thier prices for the current dates (Ed Sherrin and other events), shame on them. This was all we could get, at an affordable rate. You only get what you pay for, not even the basic expectations for a motel unit, lived in Army tents, construction camps and other types of accommodation, over many years, Jackson's does not rate well. Good accommodation for the price. I asked for a nice room and the concierge told me his recommendation and it was an acceptable room (2). Nothing fancy but comfortable beds, mostly blockout curtains, everything operational. Bathroom needs updating but at the price I would expect this. Service was excellent, prompt and friendly. At night there were arguments outside and I would not know if this is from long term residents but most likely guests who will leave in a day or few. Pool looked nice but we didn't use. We would stay again if needing a place that required accommodation nearby and looking for budget option.

When booking online I requested 2 single bed option however upon arrival reception told me I had to pay an additional $15 per night for that option . No mention of any other charges online. Then she asked for a prepayment holding of $50, again mention of this while booking online . After having words with the lady she begrudgingly gave me the room keys not informing me of any housekeeping or breakfast options at all. The pool was dirty so couldn't swim in it , and I had to chase up with reception to have my room cleaned each day . They don't provide any toiletries as mentioned in their ad, not even a face cloth . The only good thing about this motel is the location , close to the city and other attractions. I won't ever be booking this motel again in the future., that's guaranteed .

This is hands down the most appalling hotel experience I've ever had -- and I've travelled extensively around the world. The staff couldn't care less. No apology, no empathy, just complete indifference. The shower was completely blocked, wouldn't drain at all. I called to complain, they said they'd fix it -- showed up the next day and did absolutely nothing. Problem remained exactly the same. Now I'm trying to get a refund and, surprise surprise, they're completely ignoring me. They clearly don't give a damn about their guests once they've got your money. I'll be filing a formal complaint with the ACCC because this is unacceptable. If you're reading this, do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY. This place is a total joke.
