Phenomenal experience. Customer service was good. Plenty of seating and wide open space. Food was spectacular, ordered the following: Deviled Eggs: 7/10 - decent overall Fried pickles: 6/10 - I’ve had better Hot honey chicken n toast: 10/10 absolutely incredible. French toast didn’t need syrup. Chicken a little on the spicier side, so might be unbearable to some. Would order again. Mushroom gravy smothered chicken: 9/10 - flavorful and my lady’s go to. She loved it.

We loved this place! Spacious establishment with plenty of seating and high volume. We easily made reservations on a Sunday in June 2025. We arrived just a tad early and they had a table ready. The table was right next to the plate stacking station, so when the clean plates came out and were stacked it was noisy, but that was thankfully short lived. For appetizers we had the bacon steak, hog in a blanket (server knew it was a sausage but not not what kind), and the deviled eggs. All were outstanding. My dining partner thought the deviled eggs were a little heavy on the mustard, but I did not think so. Main dishes were the catfish with no fries and extra pickle slaw and the sausage gravy covered chicken with grits. The catfish was mild and seasoned just right with an excellent crunch that was replicated heating up the leftovers. The tarter sauce was fantastic. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the outside was crunchy and crispy. The sausage gravy was thicker than anticipated but oh so perfect! The cheesy grits were the only item that we did not care for. Lots of craft beers. Incredible food and fantastic service! The restrooms were clean. Parking in sono mall lot for $1 an hour. We highly recommend and cannot wait to return as there are so many menu items left to to try!

I visited this location while I was in the area. I fell in love with this establishment. We were visiting from NC. Hope started off as our server then Pedro. Both were excellent. They gave us food recommendations. Pedro was real nice and attentive. We had a great conversation with him. We had to give compliments to the manager, Jay (I can’t remember his first name but it started with a J.) He was friendly as well. Great customer service. The food was so delicious. The food was flavorful. The portions were nice. Our table had burgers, pastas, biscuits and chicken. Everything was so good. You HAVE to try the biscuits. My entire table was pleased with our selections. The music was fantastic! Back in the 90’s music. The atmosphere was amazing, very relaxing. Dim lighting. The decor was pleasant. Nice big sized bar. Great location & plenty of garage parking. The only thing I didn’t like… I live in NC & not Connecticut!! Super Sad. I would love to be a frequent customer, especially date night. This place is a must try. I’m definitely returning when I visit Connecticut again.

Jacob’s pickles was amazing, we had so many different things. We went early on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn’t busy at all. We tried the hog in a blanket, and the deviled eggs to start. Both were great! The mustard with the hog in the blanket had a little kick to it and was so good. We then tried the street corn which was amazing and the cheddar jalapeño skillet corn bread. Both were great as well. Our mains included the Nashville hot chicken, the catfish, (both were HUGE portions) and the shrimp tacos which had great flavor as well. We left with 3 jars of pickles (flaming hot chips, and the house spears) and a giant Oreo pie. All in all, would definitely recommend. Our server was so kind and gave great suggestions. Can’t wait to come back

We were in a private space rented for a few hours. The menu was prefixed which made choosing much simpler. Honestly these servings were huge with the appetizers being sufficient for a hearty meal. Each table had a few choices accompanied with their signature pickles. When the actual meals were served I was amazed at the serving sizes. Overwhelmed is a better description. I couldn't even attempt to eat the dinner, as amazing as it looked and smelled. The dessert was asking the same lines with one serving being sufficient for two persons. Overall a pleasant experience that I would repeat on an empty stomach just to sample more.

We had a great experience at Jacob’s Pickles in SoNo. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, lively ambiance and generous portion sizes that truly stand out. My wife enjoyed the steak sandwich — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor — while I thoroughly enjoyed the Southern Chicken, which was comfort food done right. One highlight of our visit was the manager, Selina. She went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of — a true rockstar who embodies what great hospitality service should be. The only miss was our server was stretched thin with a large party so our service was a bit slow, and their Bloody Mary. While it had an A+ presentation, the flavor didn’t quite match — a bit too heavy on the pepper, which overpowered the rest of the drink. Bonus points for validated parking — always a win in SoNo! All in all, a fantastic spot we’ll definitely return to. Great food, better service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We went here for brunch on Friday. There's parking in the parking lot/garage, and then you step out of the garage to get to the restaurant. We got there as soon as they opened and there was no wait, the benefits of the middle of the week. I used the restroom and it was so cleanly. We ordered drinks which were delicious. I ordered the butter sampler and the pig in a blanket, both were delicious and filled and I would order again. We shared the honey chicken biscuit with fries, which was a good choice because we were pretty full by then it was so delicious. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

We came here with our two little ones between lunch and dinner after walking through the mall. It wasn’t busy at all except there were some people at the bar. We got a few different items - the pickle sampler was the best and I’d highly recommend it. The BBQ platter great, too. If you’re in the mood for soup the matzo ball soup hit the spot. It wasn’t too salty at all. I also had one of the best Arnold Palmer’s I’ve ever had - very fresh lemonade taste without being overly sweet like so many are. Skip the Mac and cheese - it was just super basic, too cheesy/greasy. Felt like a heart attack on top of all the other stuff. Also I don’t think penne is the best for mac and cheese but to each their own. Like the name says, come try the pickles - flight of 4 for $12 or 8 for $15. We ended up getting full about halfway through and ended up needing a bunch of boxes. Luckily they gave us a bunch of separate containers for the different pickles. The service wasn’t the fastest but everyone was friendly. The food came out fast enough. It was a bit dark but I guess they’re going for that moody vibe.

Yelp
This restaurant was great! It is at the bottom outside of the SONO mall in south Norwalk. The inside is wide open in a verge large space. Plenty of room for large and small parties. The menu items all looked delicious! The beer list was unending. I had ordered a regular Bloody Mary instead of their signature one with veggies and an egg. However it was too spicy for me and the manager came over with a new one within 5 minutes after I had mentioned it to our server Sara Q. My only complaint was that the olives were too soft and squishy and the olives even looked off color., but the new drink was fabulous! Sara Q was great and informative, in regard to the menu. She was just the right amount of attentiveness! The entire staff all worked together to serve our large party of 8! Each item was delicious I especially enjoyed the deviled eggs and my half of the veggie omelette! I could not even finish the1/2 of the biscuit egg sandwich... Overall a fantastic restaurant!!

Yelp
the food was delicious! we were very surprised with the portion size of the french toast. It was thick, fluffy, not overly sweet, and the chicken was flavorful. all the components worked very well together. it was very filling after being shared between the two of us. the biscuits were good, nothing too crazy. we probably wouldn't get this again, but it was fun to try. the service was decent since we went during brunch. they took care of us and they were super nice. but they took a while to come with the check since there was a large crowd waiting to be seated. they seemed understaffed, but the staff that were there were great! the ambiance of the resturant was nice. it was clean, the music and noise level wasn't very high. we could still hear each other with our regularly speaking voice. they had nice decorations on the wall and pickles on display! the price was not bad! we would definitely come here again to try new foods!

Yelp
I have visited the Jacobs Pickles on the UWS once and it was a long wait and hard to get a table. When I saw that this mall had one I was pleasantly surprised. It was early enough that we were able to walk in and get a table and happy to see how big the space is. I love this kind of food so of course I was super excited, initially ordered the biscuits and fix ins and they informed us they had a red velvet biscuit that wasn't on the menu so we tried that and it was so good. The portions are very large and the lovely waitress informed us that they were so I opted to split a main, went with the honey chicken which comes with a generous portion of pickles, drenched in honey, over a biscuit with waffle fries on the side (or grits). Everything was Fantastic and I would totally go back!!

Yelp
If you're into pickles this will definitely be your new favorite spot! The pickle flights are a must for pickle lovers. My personal favorite was the cornbread flight, their cornbread is amazing. Fried chicken dishes are delicious also. Deviled eggs and desserts are colossal. Cocktails are unique and they have their own 'biscuit beer' as well. The staff were super helpful, especially when making suggestions about the menu. Really spacious indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio as well. Loved all the pickle puns throughout the restaurant.

Yelp
The walk from the parking lot to the restaurant isn't bad, unless it's winter and you have wind. Thankfully the restaurant was warm. We went on a Saturday night and it was hoping. Thankfully the wait wasn't too long and once we got our order it we didn't have to wait long either. I don't recall everything we ordered but my partner got the meatloaf and was having the time of his life. He would recommend the restaurant off of that meal no alone. I had one of their chicken tenders with grits. It was decent. We also tried one of their mac and cheese dishes. I'm a sucker for the boxes stuff, never been a fan of the homemade, but others are the table enjoyed. We tried their pickle flight, not realizing that a few of the pickles were pickled vegetables. That was a fun surprise. The pickled jalapenos were FIRE. We wish they had been served with our entrees instead of as an appetizer because the pickles in their own were pretty intense. It would've helped to have a palate cleanser between samplings. I appreciated that they let us take home the leftovers and we've been enjoying the pickles ever since.

Yelp
So this is my second review for Jacob's Pickles. I did this because it's a lunch review. Such a great place every time I go. So I said why not lunch? So let me tell you we had the bacon steak which was delightful and I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich along with the chicken bacon and egg biscuit. Yummy is not good enough when you perfect perfection!! That's right they perfectly, perfected perfection! Lol the mold was right and there was really not many people there. I strongly recommend you going and trying for yourself lucky is amazing! We also had the pickled lemonade which was different a little to picked for my taste but still good. so please go by and tell them been thou! Who you say? The Butler Brand Review!! Have a great time enjoying this southern Charm!

Yelp
If you like over the top dishes, you will love this place. I was overwhelmed by the size of the portions but the quality itself did not overwhelm me. The food came out almost suspiciously quick and the mashed potatoes didn't seem fresh, rather they seemed microwaved. I asked if the grits could be made without cheese but to my dismay was told "no"; okay, fine - but I was further disappointed when the dish was brought out with a handful of shredded cheese on top, I wish the server would have noted to the kitchen to leave it off. The biscuits were massive but just okay in taste and I wish they were hot (or warmer, at least); the 5 spreads they came with were delicious. The cookie skillet was a miss for me and overdone with excess of chocolate chips. Sometimes less is more but this is more of a "more is more" kinda joint, and that's okay, but not my thing. The ambience and music were pleasant and I would go back and give a second try.

Yelp
So I sat at the bar and was amazed by the aesthetic. Rustic sheik I would say. I sat and almost left because after getting water I was not assisted until Isaiah came over and asked if I had been helped. I explained it was my first time there and kinda wanted help navigating the menu. (I was originally given a brunch menu) He was so patient and kind explaining the flavors to me. I love that he collaborated with the flavors I was going for. 1st let me say ... SKIP THE PICKLES .. no big whip and they are expensive I'll stick to the ones out of the grocery store ones The collard greens and black eye peas really impressed me. If it's in season. I advise you give it a try. From a REAL southern girl it's delicious. Better than my moms I got the smothered chicken with the sausage gravy for some reason. It's sweet sausage gravy should be savory not sweet so it's confusing to my southern pallet. Smothered is savory. Not bad but disappointing when it was sweet. Their biscuit is soft and very good. I've had better but they will do. The grits .. they have cheese and only cheese. I explain that grits shouldn't need cheese. These grits are creamy and I think it's because it's mainly a block of cheese. I'm not a fan. For what it was, I do think they did a good job. I do think the flavors are good but if you go into it knowing what southern cooking really is, it's savory a lot of their foods are sweet or spicy. That's not southern, so if you understand that, this is the place for you. the drink I got was a seasonal sangria. It was really good. I always get my sangria top with Prosecco to cut some of the sweetness, overall the experience was a good one. Unfortunately, being raised the south, I'm going to grade places that claim to be southern cuisine based off of a southerners palette

Yelp
Once I saw "pickle" in the name, I knew I wanted to try here for my bday lunch. It did not disappoint. Our server was friendly and great. The Bloody Mary was tasty. All the pickles were fun to try. The fried chicken was good- a few of us liked the honey one while the majority liked the mushroom gravy one better. Just go with both if you have a larger group. Haha. Thanks to my bro for treating us to a delicious lunch and thanks J for the special bday treat! Def coming back here the next time we're visiting.

Jen H.

Yelp
Delicious food with generous portions and very fairly priced. The variety of choices on the menu makes it very difficult to pick just one thing! Extra points for having a bottle of tap water left on the table too. Our server was excellent and there was plenty of seating with open ambiance. The restaurant does validate parking for the mall garage, which is great. Right off 95, this is a perfect pit stop on the way to your destination. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else on the menu + one of their delicious looking desserts.

Marjorie M.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time. My friend and I finally made it and the dining experience did not disappoint. Parking is available in the SoNo collection and is an easy walk to the restaurant. Loved the aesthetic of the place and it is so much larger inside than it appears from the outside. Come hungry and you will leave satisfied. Great service and large portion sizes. We even had enough to bring home. We tried the pickle lemonade and it was surprisedly tasty. We had a great time and even walked off all the food we ate by going window shopping at the mall afterwords.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our visit to Jacob's pickles a few months ago. The restaurant is huge and they do their best to make service as fast as possible. Highly recommend making a reservation if possible! The cornbread was moist, the friend chicken and meatloaf were also extremely juicy and flavorful. We do have to say our least favorite thing was that the fried pickles were spears so they seemed a little bit juicier than we like, however that is just a personal preference because we are so used to pickle chips! Either way the pickles were still good,

Scot P.

Yelp
Huge restaurant that is extremely noisey with horrible service. Menu is total comfort food and portions are big.

Haley F.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! I'll never eat anywhere else while in Norwalk because it can't be better than this. Everything is phenomenal, the drinks, the appetizers, the meals. Always have leftovers and they are even amazing on a reheat. Best restaurant ever!

Noey T.

Yelp
Portions weren't as big or generous as the server kept saying they'd be. And he said this about three times. The catfish was not very good in my opinion. The breading tasted bad so I only really ate the meat of it. The best part of the whole entire meal was the plain biscuit and butters combo. But aside from that, the showstopper Mac and cheese was overrated. And the food just wasn't as good as I'd figured it'd be. But perhaps trying something else yields different results. Coolest thing about this place is that they make flavored butters and sell them at the door. Beside that, I wasn't very impressed. Probably won't be back unless someone I know wants to go, and I keep it simple. Atmosphere is great and it just looks amazing on the inside. Just wish the food I'd had that day was good enough to make me want to come back on my own.

Erika S.

Yelp
I've been here twice, so this review is a combination of both visits. Both times were a success. It's a very large restaurant but in the daytime it gives a totally different vibe than at night, very spacious. The servings here are huge. You can definitely take home leftovers. The French toast, chicken and bacon was so good. I don't know what they put in the syrup but it's addictive. The portion was ridiculously huge and we were able to eat the rest for breakfast the next day. The chicken bacon egg and cheese was again huge. I could barely eat half of it. I will say that there seem to be way too much cheese on it but other than that, it was good. We also ordered a side of sausage gravy and it's absolutely delicious.

Sabrina A.

Yelp
First off, make sure you bring a large appetite because the portions are HUGE. We shared the fried pickles and I got a Nashville hot chicken with the hot sauce on the side. I'm glad I asked for it on the side ad it's very spicy. The pickles were ok - they're spears instead of the typical chips you'd find which kind of lets the breading come off. My chicken and biscuit were great and I loved the cheese grits it was served with. We all had the root beer and it was delicious. Highly recommend! A little annoying about having to pay to park at the adjacent garage but that's Norwalk for you.

Jackie B.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Was surprised at how busy it was at 11 am. Ordered a chicken Caesar salad , completely inedible.... Over dressed, too much parm cheese..... and so huge could have split one between 4 ppl. The only redeeming part was how nice our waiter was.

Elvin M.

Yelp
Enjoyed my first time here. The food was very good and diverse. Really liked the decor and the ambiance of the restaurant. I couldn't give it 4 stars service wasnt 5 stars. Server appeared to be new ans looked confused at times. I am aure that will be fixed soon. Overall a good experience.

Estee A.

Yelp
Gorgeous interior, a ton of light from the massive windows and a medley of different electric lights, string lights, globe lights of varying sizes, Edison lightbulbs. Tons and tons of seating excellent for groups of all sizes! Menu has a nice variety with a focus on pickles! We ordered the Honey Chicken And Pickles with biscuits and hand cut fries. The fries were just okay, but the chicken, pickles, and biscuits were incredible. My friend got the French toast fried chicken with bacon and maple butter that was ridiculously good. Massive portions and very tasty and filling. I would recommend coming hungry, ordering different items and splitting them with your fellow diners. Our server Zach was very friendly and helpful. I greatly look forward to eating my leftovers.

Lucia B.

Yelp
Very large portions of food, great to share. My nephew loved the mac and cheese with hamburger. He was so excited to have some. My husband and I shared the bbq fried chicken. It was good, but lacked complexity of flavors. The ambience of the space was very nice, it was a vibe and I think it's a great place to stop if you are on the 95 and would like something other than rest stop food. Pedro, our server was great. I also recommend the pickle brine margarita, I would totally go back just for that, the pickle on top was not the best, but the margarita itself was great, I wish it had a Tajin rim and it would be almost perfect.

Daniella M.

Yelp
Lived up to the buzz I kept hearing! Went here for my dad's birthday and we had an amazing time. There was not a single complaint. From the atmosphere, to the friendliest staff ( our server Leon was fantastic) gave us great recommendations , and of course the food was a 10/10. The portions are huge so definitely keep that in mind when ordering. The poutine fries are a must. Absolutely loved the sausage and gravy over fried chicken. The sausage had a hint of sweetness which was delicious. The hot sauce was great. Will definitely be back and recommend . Oh GET THE STRAWBERY CAKE I promise you. Literally the best part of the meal.

Ratasha M.

Yelp
I enjoy the ambiance and the service. The food was delicious and big portions. I wasn't able to finish it all. Thanks

Joe R.

Yelp
Food was just ok. The place is very large inside with lots of table and lots of children at those tables during lunch. It wasn't incredibly loud inside despite the vaulted ceilings. Our server was friendly and helpful. we ordered way too much food but we enjoyed what we ate. Probably won't be back for a good long while however as it's not really worth the price.

David Q.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Jacob's pickles. Second time here and the bartender, Christian, was great with his recommendations and being someone that doesn't know much about mixed drinks he was great in that aspect of knowing what we were looking to drink.

George M.

Yelp
I've been waiting to try Jacob's Pickles for a while now, even before they opened this location outside the city. Parking was easy at The SoNo Collection, and when I entered, I was warmly greeted by the hostess, who was incredibly sweet and helpful. She even showed me how to take advantage of their 3-hour parking validation, which was a nice perk. The restaurant had an upscale and elegant feel, though it was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. Christian Juarez J, my server, was fantastic--friendly, fun, and helpful as he guided me through the menu since it was my first time there. I went with the Mac and cheese and the patty melt smash burger, and I was not disappointed! The portions were huge, and the food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly, the sauce was flavorful, and the waffle fries were crispy. The Mac and cheese was cheesy, hearty, and super filling--definitely a highlight. My friends arrived a bit later, and the staff had no problem accommodating the extra people. We also ordered a few drinks: - Mocha Martini - Kentucky Porch Sipper (my favorite--definitely getting this next time!) - Brooklyn Gin - Norwalk On The Wild Side (another great one) - Jam Jar - Rosemary Vodka Lemonade - Lemon Blueberry Whiskey Smash Everything was amazing, and totally worth the cost. The experience was so great that we're already planning to come back for brunch. A few dishes I can't wait to try are the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese, Chicken Bacon Ranch Waffle Fries, and Catfish and Grits. I will absolutely be back with my friends--highly recommend Jacob's Pickles!

Jessica O.

Yelp
Okay came back! This time we got the honey chicken biscuit and catfish special. The catfish was cooked perfectly and had a nice flake and crunch. It came on a bed of friend and pickle slaw. The dipping sauce was tangy. I got the honey chicken and I think I like this more than the spicy! Every item I try that is fried, is perfectly fried! I enjoy their pickles and asked for their chipotle Mayo to add to my chicken and biscuit but it didn't end up needing any sauce. Also I asked the waiter if the ball of bottles were real and he said they yes! Pretty epic and adds to the ambience!

Stephen W.

Yelp
Good food, solicitous, trying-hard service. Oddly empty at lunchtime though. I hope they make it.

Minoo M.

Yelp
This is our 2nd time eating at Jacobs Pickles. Our first experience was good, the service was great and food was good. Our second experience was just ok. I will start with service- they were busy, we had to wait, we didn't mind we weren't in a rush and other staff were helping out with our table which we appreciated. So kudos to team work! The food- a year ago, their chicken was truly "fried" chicken. The chicken I ate tonight on my 'buttermilk fried chicken Caesar salad' was clearly a frozen breast that was put into a warming over and put on my plate. The chicken was even cut down the middle before it was served to ensure it was cooked inside. I'm sorry, but that's not what people are paying to eat. The salad taste and biscuit with the salad were good. But that chicken was absolutely not buttermilk fried fresh piece of chicken. We also enjoyed the tacos, which were good and plentiful! Overall This experience was a 3- if they are going to advertise this style of fried chicken, it should be represented properly. Be mindful the next time you eat there, and make sure that chicken comes out light crispy and fresh! Not prebreaded and frozen style with a cut in the middle.

Christine R.

Yelp
Jacob's Pickle South Norwalk was a great experience. The ambiance was very relaxing. The food and drinks were really good and plentiful. We had the honey chicken biscuit and a smash burger. The honey chicken was very crispy and seasoned very well. The smash burger was smashed to perfection. My only complaint was the salty fries - it was really too salty. We also ordered several rounds of the Harvest Sangria the fireball whiskey gave it a special kick. It was well prepared not too sweet and definitely wasn't dry, The restroom was extremely clean - it gave that club vibe with the loud music and the way everything was set up. The wait staff was excited to see us just as we were excited to have this experience. I will definitely come back to try their brunch.

Libera P.

Yelp
Love the decor of the restaurant . There was only one server in the bar area so we had to wait a bit for him to take our order. We were there for brunch @10:30 and they opened at 9am. They said the hot chocolate wasn't ready yet so I told them to bring when it is. My son got the special apple biscui which was delicious and worth the$5. I got the coop and the grits were great. It was so much food I only need the grits. My son got the hot honey chicken biscui sandwich. He took half home. . We were done eating and ask for boxes and he brings the hot chocolate I didn't like the cinnamon or peppermint candy on it so I took it off and it cost $10 for a small cup that I gulp down cuz we were ready to go.

Alexzander P.

Yelp
Food was delicious and the portion size was astronomical. I will gladly make the 40 minute drive EVERYTIME! Im a little late on the review but we went back in November, and the warm comfort food hit the spot during a cold New England night. The biscuits and variety of jams / butters were amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked...crispy and juicy. Ten out of ten.

Kevin B.

Yelp
Took my wife here for Valentines Day dinner and I couldn't have made a better choice. We loved everything about this place, the ambiance, staff and most importantly the food! We started out with some drinks, my wife got a cocktail which she enjoyed I opted for a beer. We also got the Hog in a Blanket for an appetizer. It came out with some spicy mustard and hot sours for pickles which were a delight to put on the pastry hot dogs, they were juicy and perfect. For our entrees how could we not go with some of the chicken and biscuit options. I got the hot chicken biscuit which was their version of the Nashville hot chicken topped with some hot sours. My wife got the Southern B.L.P. Which included pimento cheese, slaw and some of their picnic sauce. The Nashville hot chicken had a nice spicy kick to it, enough to make my nose run a little, very enjoyable. Also came on top of a biscuit with one on the side. How could we forget the cheese grits that came on the side when both entrees, creamy and absolutely delicious, could eat that on its own. This place gives you very generous portions for the price which is also extremely reasonable. We loved our server, she had a southern accent and was more than helpful in giving us good recommendations. Already finding a reason to go back to this place.

Robin T.

Yelp
I've been to the Jacob's pickles in NYC several times but this was my first time at this location. I really loved the interior of this location, very spacious and cute. I went with the hot chicken and pickles which was delicious and a very large portion. I couldn't finish it all. We also shared some of the Mac and cheese which was good but not the best I had. The service was really good and I'd definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Berenice R.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining here today. This place is a good hangout/chill spot if you're looking for all draft beers and good old southern food. And of course, if you're a pickle fanatic like myself! These are hands down the BEST pickles I have ever tasted. I had a sample of different pickles and pickled veggies. The biscuits are great too! For lunch I had the biscuits and gravy! Such a great comfort southern food with lots of flavor. My parents both had the burger (I forgot the name of it). It was cooked to perfection and the fries were nice and crispy. I definitely would recommend this place.

Yelp
I didn't think Jacob's Pickles could get better but I was wrong. This new location is absolutely gorgeous and massive. And the menu is even bigger than UWS - there are so many new things I still need to try including the burger so many more visits will have to happen. I visited for brunch and got my go-to Jam Jar cocktail which tastes like strawberry lemonade goodness. I never thought I liked gin until trying this cocktail, and it's become my favorite. I also tried the Norwalk on the Wild Side cocktail which is so refreshing with the apricot cordial & marmalade with SoNo 1420 Vodka. My aunt joined me for brunch and ordered the Michter's American Manhattan. My aunt wanted to try the poutine - it's the biggest mound of fries covered in brown gravy, cheese, and hollandaise. It's a huge undertaking even for two people so there was still a lot leftover. We also ordered the classic Mac and cheese - it's the best out of any of their varieties. The cheesiest and gooiest. For my entree, I ordered the Penne and the Kitchen Sink - and just like the name implies, it has it all including beef, sausage, peppers, onions, ham, pecorino cheese, a roasted tomato blush sauce. It's packed full of flavor too. My aunt ordered the Crab Cake Salad and devoured it completely. Both entree items are new and specific to this location. For dessert, we ordered a chocolate chip cookie skillet which is so decadent. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, as was every other employee that we interacted with. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Jacob's Pickles has been on my NYC bucket list for the longest time, so I was very excited when they opened in the SoNo mall! I finally made a visit to check them out, and they have a great menu full of southern comfort food, as well as really creative cocktail options for the pickle-obsessed. While everything was tasty, the food here is very heavy and rich! I recommend not having much to eat beforehand on the day you come here, because you'll definitely want to try their famous Mac and cheese and biscuits. The dining area is so spacious and beautiful, and the staff were friendly and happy to provide menu recommendations. So glad that I don't have to get on a train to experience this great restaurant!

Yelp
When the waiter asked if it was our first time here, we replied yes. He proceeded to tell us the dishes are served with southern hospitality in mind (not his exact word) and they are big. Gestured by opening his hands fairly wide. He was not exaggerating. The dishes are massive. The restaurant is very big with lots of tables spaced apart so you are not on top of each other which we appreciated. A huge bar and bar area with high top tables. No TVs so if you are hanging at the bar it's for conversation and eating/drinking not to watch sports. We sat at a table in the back of the dining area near the somewhat open kitchen. There is a ¾ wall so you can't see much of the cooking so it's a "somewhat" open kitchen. The hostess and person at the reservation desk were friendly and welcoming. Our waiter Kevin was pleasant and hustling as he had a large area to wait on. He took the orders and did some of the serving although there were designated servers who brought our food and we witnessed brought the bulk of the dishes to other guests. I ordered a non-spicy and my husband a spicy Bloody Mary. After tasting both mine and his it was clear they were both spicy. Kevin had no problem returning and having a non-spicy made for me. The new BM was served with all new garnishes. I know this because I had removed the 1/2 pickled egg. After eating mine and my husbands I couldn't eat a third 1/2 so we took it home. Too good not to save later. Two bloody Mary's served with a slice of bacon and a pickled 1/2 hardboiled egg along with a piece of fresh romaine leaf. The leaf I believe is more for presentation in my opinion than for consumption. So many choices for a started. Decided on the "hogs" in a blanket. Think of "Pigs in a Blanket" older brother. A tasty slice of sausage encased in nicely browned pastry dough topped with everything bagel seasoning. A slightly spicy mustard and slices of their signature pickles accompanied the dish. Two slices each of the "hog" and we decided to keep the other 2 aside to eat later or take home. When our massive brunch/lunch plates were delivered we knew we were bringing home food. From the Fried Chicken and Biscuits Menu I ordered the Southern B.L.P $21. Buttermilk fried chicken, pimento cheese, pickle slaw, picnic sauce, nitrate free bacon. The square biscuit was massive with a juicy piece of fried chicken and the toppings described on the menu. I love pimento cheese, make it at home so seeing that as one of the toppings was the main reason I ordered this fried chicken sandwich. The pimento cheese was not very noticeable in taste nor when I looked at the layers of the sandwich. It was still a wonderful chicken and biscuit sandwich. I was confused as to what the picnic sauce was? I believe it was the sauce served in a bowl on the side. I dipped my spoon into it and it was a bit grainy like grits. I assumed it was grits and even asked the waiter if it was grits and he said yes. I'm confused because if that was grits why didn't it say grits on the menu? It was grit-like but I believe it was the picnic sauce. If one of the managers comments I'm sure they will let us know. I still enjoyed the sandwich but would ask them to add more pimento cheese and add grits to the description of the menu item. My husband ordered the Croque Madame. It appeared to be the same square biscuit I had but it had been seared on top with cheese. There was a heavy béchamel sauce, fried egg and smokey ham slices with salted slice potatoes on the side. It was very good and messy. He had to eat it with a knife and fork, not a "Madame" you could pick up. The sliced potatoes were a bit too crispy. The ones that weren't overcooked had a nice flavor to them. Too full for dessert so I can't comment on that. I did buy a container of their homemade "candy cukes" which I'm told taste like bread and butter. Can't wait to try them but I'm just too full to eat another morsel of food while I'm writing this review. Jacob's Pickles is located in the SoNo Collection building right off of I-95. Parking is very convenient. The municipal lot is attached to the "Collection." The restaurant is in front but off to the side of the parking entrance. A very short walk almost all indoor. I would say there were equal amounts of couples, friends and families with small children visiting while we were there. Nice and airy and as I said friendly staff, reasonable prices for the quality of food and the quantity is massive.

Yelp
What a great addition to SoNo and our CT area! It was about time for some great Southern food right here in CT! Delicious fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside chicken. Biscuits were baked perfectly! Super buttery and tasty! Keep in mind that entree portions are LARGE! The ambience was relaxing and chill. Impressed by the liquor wall! Over 1730 bottles!!! Same alcohol they use in their cocktails. Enormous dining space which is great to minimize any wait time. Service was incredibly quick and staff were polite and quite knowledgeable of the menu. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
This place was HUGE. Cute ambiance with open doors to patio. Comfy seating. Service was standard. We got the full pickle tasting and it was worth it. I am still eating them a week later. We split a smash burger w waffle fries and a fried chicken biscuit with grits. Burger was fire. Perfectly seasoned and textured from the smash. Biscuit was buttery and crumbly on the sandwich and chicken was crispy and juicy. But those grits. I love grits and my husband does not. These grits single handedly changed his opinion. I'm dreaming of them right now. Buttery and cheesy and expertly cooked. I also got a passion tea which was very flavors and delicious Def recommend this place

Yelp
This place was soooooo good I can't wait to go back! Everything we had was absolutely delicious and the portions are HUGE. Definitely bring your appetites and ignore the calories because this is to die for southern cuisine. Seriously can't wait to try the mac & cheese which looked so good - that and everything else on the menu. This is a great place to go with a large party so you can share and try more things. I forgot that when I made the ressie I indicated it was my daughter's bday and they surprised us with a huge slice of an Oreo mousse pie that was crazy good. We went on a Thursday at 6:30 and there were a few open tables so walking in would have been doable. I think on weekends you want to get a reservation though. The space is huge yet still warm and inviting. To start we ordered the pickle flight - we chose horseradish, the dill, seeet and spicy, and the green beans. All were really good. We also ordered the biscuits which come with 4 different whipped butters and honey - yum. Light a fluffy not like a brick. So good. Shrimp & Grits was so good - bacon had this amazing smokey flavor, the cheddar cheese had a really deep complex flavor, and the cilantro on top was just perfect. Huge shrimp - only complaint is tails are on which just makes it harder to eat but that's pretty normal. Fried chicken is tender, juicy and full of flavor. My husband's gumbo was spicy and super good too. Our server was friendly and patient with us as we goofed around trying to figure out what to order. We didn't finish anything, so big are the portions. Best part is they bring plastic containers for the pickles so we can enjoy them at home! Definitely give this place a try next time you're in the area.

Yelp
I'm so glad this spot opened up! We stopped by for a lunch and really enjoyed it. Really like the big open atmosphere of the restaurant, and the spaciousness each table has. Their fried chicken is fantastic. I ordered the BBQ smothered chicken and it came out in only about 5 mins. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, BBQ sauce was tangy and had some depth to it, and the biscuit it was served on was moist and just super good. And the cheesy grits it comes with were really tasty. They serve huge portions that really fill you up. Along with an Abita root beer (which is on top), it was an excellent meal. Our server was really friendly and attentive - she did a great job. Definitely love this spot and will be back many times!

Yelp
Jacob's Pickles is one of my all time favorite restaurants, so I was very excited to see they new location open up in SONO! I definitely recommend making a reservation, even on a week day, bc this place stays busy lol. The location itself is a lot larger than their NYC location which is nice for larger groups. The service here is really great and the food is even better! I recommend anything with sausage gravy -- idk what they put in there but it's absolutely delicious. The drinks were also really tasty. It was my husbands birthday and the staff was nice enough to comp his birthday cake slice. Overall I really love this place and can't wait to return!

Yelp
We walked in on a Sunday around 11am, not crowded and tables were available. We were asked if we had reservations. We did not and they took our name and still seated us?? The bench seats were uncomfortable as they had no padding. The food was horrible. My son had the shrimp and grits and you can see the grease forming on the top. The fried pickles were nothing but grease and they were very sweet(we tried to convince ourselves that they were good..not!). The fried chicken and waffles were nothing to write home about. The chicken was the best thing on the menu. The waffles were cold and honey was drizzled on top, when I specifically asked to put it on the side and the server confirmed that it would be in a little container on the side. Suffice to say, we will not be back. No kid's menu, either.

Yelp
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Pickles galore and fabulous food! Waitress was perfect getting out large order flipped quickly and boxed up as we tried to taste as many things as possible. The pickles were great. The only issue was the gazpacho is totally just tasted like cucumber, it was not layered with flavor which was a bit disappointing but everything else was on point. Hearty portions and hefty to go bags.

Yelp
This was my second time dining at Jacob's Pickle's and I left extremely full once again. That's a good problem to have. You know the food is good when can't eat for the rest of the day because they gave you so much food. You also have tons to eat when you get home because there's so much leftovers. Great ambience for families and groups. Service was great and food was amazing!
