We can't overstate how impressed we were with our visit. We had wanted to go since long before they opened and believed in the whole idea but expected that it would be hard to staff and run effectively so far from SD and El Centro.. it was the opposite. It really felt like an oasis and that they are delivering huge potential at this little gem. Food, service, rooms.. all were off the charts and so thoughtful. The bar is perfect. The pools are all well done, and that echo room is incredible. We are so stoked for them and will be back as soon as possible.

We've stayed here twice now, once in April and once in November. In April we stayed in one of the larger suites and this time we were in a king room, both were amazingly decorated and comfortable, and of course playing the records adds that extra aura to the stay. This is not some soulless chain hotel, it is clear that every single little detail had love and passion put into it. The pools are obviously great to soak in, with the echo room being our favorite. Another standout here is the food. It is beyond what we expected from a hotel restaurant. We've had many of the items on the menu, switching it up every meal, and everything is fantastic. My personal favorite was the sticky toffee bread pudding. My one tiny bit of feedback would be that I'd like to see a few more cocktail options, and ideally ones that are unique (not just a twist on a classic like a mule, margarita, etc) but even still, the drinks we've had are good. On top of that, all of the staff have been friendly and helpful, especially at the restaurant and bar

We stopped in for a look at the place since the remodel. We have stayed here several times before the remodel and enjoyed it very much. The remodel is very nice and the upgrades to the grounds, restaurant and bar are nice. Granted that this is out in the middle of nowhere, so not much of anything else to do in town. We would love to stay again, but the prices of a room are way too high for us. One could easily stay at a luxury hotel in Palm Springs for less. It was busy, so I guess the prices are fine for some people.

We just spent two fantastic nights at the Jacumba Hot Springs and were totally blown away. The staff and owners have created a beautiful environment with amazing service. The mineral water and the three pools were great and on par with other hot spring resorts. But it was the attention to detail in the rooms, the public areas, the little amenities, and the attentiveness of the staff that really stood out. The food and bar were also excellent with a kind of North African/Sonoran Desert mashup.

The hotel promises you to transport you to another vortex, and it definitely delivers! It feels as if you left California. Do accept your welcome drink!!! That hot punch was so delicious 🍵 The details for the room are very intentional. We stayed here for a quick BabyMoon and I think the setting was perfect. Think of this as a quick retreat/getaway from San Diego. But I personally wouldn't stay here for more than 1 or 2 nights.

We tried to stay here during Covid, but our reservation was canceled. So we ended up going last week, which was really nice as they had upgraded some of the hotel. We stayed in casita, which is separate from the hotel. It’s only a few blocks away, but it’s private and has its own pool. Check-in was easy, there’s an outside trailer with some informative attendees that helped us and guided us through the resort. We went to the bar for happy hourand the food and drinks were great. As you can see from the pictures everything look delicious. You’re very close to the American Mexican border and can see the fence at times. However, there is plenty of border patrol and police so that you can feel safe during the daytime however I wouldn’t walk around at night. Highly recommend this resort as a place to go, soak your old bones and feel good . Keep in mind. The hot tubs are not over 100° but are comfortable to sit in during the day for extended.

I booked this for my birthday and I am so happy I did! My friends and I had the most amazing time here. From the minute we checked in to the time we checked out the staff was so pleasant! The rooms are beautiful, the beds and pillows are very comfy! The shower gets nice and hot, with great water pressure. Nicely renovated and just so pretty!! Great food and Fresca-Rita was absolutely delicious! The pools were magical I swear the water feels so amazing. I cannot wait to come back, I promise this will not disappoint!

This was our first stay at JHSH, and I must say: what a GREAT experience! It exceeded my expectations in EVERY category. The general manager Natalie Richards has done a marvelous job of assembling an all-star staff. They were, to a person, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Picture a hotel all run by your best friends. Natalie, you need to write a book on hospitality industry recruiting and training. The room was immaculate and very well designed and appointed. The fixtures, bedding, HVAC, and lighting were perfect. The restaurant was excellent. The menu is clever, the presentation unique, and taste was spectacular for all of my selections. The pools were clean, warm, and inviting. If you are looking for a unique, relaxing getaway, check out Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Yelp
We just enjoyed a fantastic 2-night getaway with hot springs, jacuzzi, and a picturesque lake. Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel is the nicest resort I have ever been to! Only 1.5 hour drive from Carlsbad. The drinks and organic food were on point. Eggs come from super happy chickens. The staff is super nice, helpful and inviting! We checked in with Ivan, the awesome ! A hidden gem. If you never see it, you miss out. We just enjoyed a fantastic 2-night getaway with hot springs, jacuzzi, and a picturesque lake. Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel is the nicest resort I have ever been to! Yelp
This is a hipster/influencer's paradise. I am neither, so it wasn't quite my vibe, but I`ll review from the perspective of clientele that would really enjoy what I would describe as desert pueblo boho. Do you love a desert oasis with warm pools, Instagram worthy backdrops, and cocktails? This is the place for you. Do you love a 21 + atmosphere where you can wrap your arms around your boo and swap saliva in an adult only, steamy natural body of water with a slightly sulphur smell? This may be your place. You can even get cocktails and snacks by the pools. My friend and I took advantage of early booking and we got 20% off of a doubles room(two queen beds) and we got a $50 dining credit, which is not a bad deal, but the food and drink does add up fast and you will end up paying more out of pocket. We found the employees to be friendly and the person who gave us the tour around the property when we first arrived, was very thorough and knowledgeable. They give you a welcome cocktail upon arrival and that was a nice touch. Check-in is in a trailer, so it adds to the rustic charm of the experience. The rooms are pretty nice, definitely a Joni Mitchell dream. They are pretty minimal, but tastefully done. No t.v. but a record player with a few records to spin, as well as some books. Nice touch. If you want electronics, bring your laptop or look at cat videos on my phone like I did. I get the point of the atmosphere, though. No television, but there is plenty of booze in the mini bar. We didn`t partake in that portion of the accommodations, but there booze is there with a packed fridge and bottles of liquor on a shelf right above the chilled beverage. Also a cabinet full of liquor. Lots to choose from. An alcoholics nightmare essentially. Drink responsibly, kids. Robes, slippers, and some bits and bobs provided. What are bits and bobs? Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup remover, body lotion, hair dryer and clothes steamer. They leave vegan cookies in each room and those were pretty delicious. I wish they had allowed outside snacks onto the property and provided a fridge to store food. I also wish they had room service because sometimes a person, such as myself, does not wish to dine among other humans. Beds and linens were clean. Floor was a bit dusty, but this is the desert, so what can ya do? Pools were fine. I wish they were hotter. The smell was not super offensive. They were nice and chill and not overcrowded during the time we went. The day pass crowd pool(one pool is for day pass people and one exclusively for guests, along with one, smaller indoor pool) was a bit more populated with a lot of cool, young people doing what cool, young people do. There are a few cabanas you can pay extra for and those have firepits. I wish they had more firepits around the pools because it gets COLD at night. My nips nearly froze off More warmth, please. Heated towel cabinet? I would be happy with that. Also, in the morning my friend went to soak and she found their sunscreen solidified because of the cold. Probably should put that away at night. There is ice water at the pool and I refilled my water bottle a couple of times. There was a coffee station set up in the morning with coffee, hot water for tea, sugar, mint tea, oat milk, whole milk, and half&half. To go cups provided. The food from the restaurant was good. I had the poblano burger. Cooked well. We also tried the mezze platter, chips & guacamole by the pool and that was all good. The next day I had their veggie and rice soup. It was very spicy. Almost too spicy. Not ideal, but what can you do. Wish it had come with some tortilla strips to crumble on top and some cotija cheese. Drinks were fine. Lots to choose from on the alcohol front. Full bar, which had a really cool atmosphere. Dark and moody. I didn`t hang out in there, but it looked really cool. That is the only part of the property that really was my style. Check-out was easy. You can see the Mexican border wall on the drive in, pretty close. You are basically in Mexico and you know what? Looks the same as America. This place is nice and worth a visit. If you want to take photos and have fun with your friends or your bae, it is a nice experience.

Yelp
This is a wonderful oasis in desert friendly staff wonderful menu in the restaurant we had the most amazing dessert during our dinner The hot spring pools and jacuzzi were very relaxing Our only wish is for management is to start watering the large Palm trees by the pool they are yellow for lack of water

Yelp
WOW!!! We loved our stay at Jacumba Hot Springs. We opted to stay at a casita with a private hot tub. The Casita has a full kitchen nice roomy living room separate bedroom and bathroom that is just off the back exit door to the private hot tub. They supplied plenty of towels for the hot tub and shower and the bed was comfortable. One of our favorite things was being able to see the hot tub outside the bedroom window. The private hot tub Was lovely but it definitely needed to warm up as it was empty when we arrived we filled it up but it took some time for the stone in the tub to equilibrate with the temperature. We had a package that gave us a $50 dining credit and we were super happy to enjoy the atmosphere of the funky bar they have a great happy hour from 3 to 5, highly recommend the Elote And guacamole. It is a little different staying within the sites of the border wall but no worries everything feels safe and secure here. We will be back!

Yelp
I cannot begin to say how much I love coming hereit is truly an oasis where the magic waters heal. I've brought so many friends and truly enjoy every moment.

Yelp
Wow was this place a hidden gem! What an amazing experience from start to finish. The grounds are serene with natural mineral springs surrounded by Moroccan decor. Very intimate. The special touches in room check in like notes and cookies were amazing in addition to bathrobes, slippers, record player with records etc. the food at restaurant and poolside was top notch. Don't bring sunscreen. They provide a natural zinc concentration that is excellent and environmentally safe. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Amazing vibe at this property. Gorgeous restaurant with outdoor mist. The pool area is gorgeous. Staff is extremely friendly. I really liked the beet juice mixed drink. The Breakfast sandwich was just ok. I would def want to come back to try other food items. The bar and bathhouse for shows books the best talent. Absolutely worth the hour and 20 min drive from SD.

Yelp
Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel is amazing! An easy drive from San Diego into the desert. The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was so relaxing & beautiful, & the rooms were incredible. I went for a girls trip & had the best time in the mineral pools late into the evening while sipping cocktails. Already planning my next trip back

Yelp
Relaxation begins with the drive eastbound on Interstate 8. You will wind through chaparral-covered hills, strewn with boulders. The hillsides are studded with lacy Eucalyptus or low-growing native Black Oaks. By the time you take the exit from Interstate 8 to the town of Jacumba Hot Springs, you feel as if you are in a new world. There is something paranormal about these low hills. You can just feel it. Not in a sinister way, but in a good way---as if something magical is about to happen. And it is. The Olde Highway will lead you directly to the Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel. The famous trailer emblazoned with "CHECK IN " sits squatting out front. There is only one dusty handicapped parking place out front. More such places need to be added for a hotel with 20 rooms. Jessie will greet you with a smile and genuine welcome. I had arrived a few hours before the 3:00 pm check in time, so I went to the dining room for lunch. Jade was manning the desk and she took me to my table with a happy energy. Once seated, the server, Shelby, was sweet and efficient and took care of me with expertise. Suite 22 was soon ready. It is spacious and comfortable. Beautiful white tulips, individually placed in vases, were lined up on a ledge. Local wildflowers were gathered into a ribboned vase on the coffee table. A personalized handwritten welcome note was a huge plus. My friends arrived later. They were housed in Room 9. We went to dinner in the dining room for a fun meal. There are some interesting wines on the list, and I hope that as the months proceed, additional wines will be added. Ernie, with his jaunty hat and mild manner, was a wonderful and welcoming presence throughout our stay, and he also took care of us during our final lunch on check out day. I look forward to seeing Ernie again on a follow up visit---maybe in September? The housekeeper, dear Bridget, was so sweet and kind. I forgot a phone charger in Suite 22 and she retrieved it for me just before we left. Thank you, Bridget! Bravo to all: Jessie, Shelby, Jade ,Ernie and Bridget! * * * * *

Yelp
This review is for breakfast at the restaurant. What a hidden gem! Very nice staff. The food is made with fresh ingredients. And everything tasted really great. We got a tour of the hotel and will be planning a stay here very soon.

Debbie K.

Yelp
We found a gem 1 hour out of San Diego. We are from Orange County so to get there we go through San Diego and then took Freeway 8. Oh wow what a beautiful scenery to go through Alpine on this freeway at 4000+ ft elevation. The flowers were also blooming due to the rains we had. Beautiful!!!! This area is also mountainous with lots of rocks. A beautiful way approaching Jacumba Hot Springs (turned on Hwy 94 and then Hwy 80). The check in of the hotel is in a cute old trailer where we were greeted friendly by Alan. We were offered warm apple cider (the choice was with or without whiskey). We chose the virgin apple cider. I am not sure if this is for first timers only or that's how it is done here. Alan gave us a tour of the property and then helped us with our luggages to our room. Very nice service! Once we stepped into the door of the hotel we were in a different world. It was like we were in Morocco or old Mexico. The decors, furniture, walls, door knobs, and buildings are not anything you see everyday in your daily life. They are not old either. It is rustic and charming by design. The owner of this place We Are Human Kind really did a great job designing and renovating this place. In our room we received a welcome note and vegan cookies(1 vegan and 1 vegan and gluten free). I did ask at the reservation about plant based or vegan options during reservation. It was noted. Thank you!!! Our room was charmingly decorated including a record player and several funky vinyls we can play during our stay. The music that is played in this hotel is also out of ordinary. Our bed was really comfortable and the room was immaculately clean. There was a breakfast menu that we could leave out at night to have breakfast delivered to our door starting early at 7 am. Wow! The mineral pool and Echo room (where there was a mineral hot tub with jet) were very nice. The Echo Room is only available for hotel guests. The water feels very silky. We could also smell a bit of mineral smell of sulfur but it was not too strong. Based on our experience with hot mineral pools so far, this is the best quality of mineral water. They are building another large mineral pool that will only be available for hotel guests too. So this place is still a work in progress. The food in the restaurant was great. We had a brunch and were served their plant based options: Vegetable Potato Hash with JustEgg, Fruit Bowl, and Avocado Toast. We also went to Happy Hour between 3-5 pm and had their chips and guac, delicious Portobello mushrooms tacos, and Oasis Bowl. One thing that I wish they have are rice and beans accompanying the tacos. The bar scene is so dark and provocative which reminds me of a restaurant called Kindred in SD. The decors in the bathrooms at the bar were something had to be seen. There are 2 bathrooms so you really have to spend a long time at the bar and go twice....to visit each bathroom...ha ha.... The bar served cocktails and mocktails that are delicious. During happy hour the prices are dropped by $5 on drinks and food. A great deal! The staff at this hotel are very nice and helpful. It seems that they are locals and seems that they are happy to live in the area. They are so different than city folks who are always in a hurry. The tips I get from them is if you want to relax and be by yourself visit on Tuesday (also have a happy hour all day on Tuesday) or weekdays and if you want to party and don't mind mingling with a lot of visitors, come during the weekend. On the weekends there are musicians, live music, and more visitors. So I have no idea what 's like on weekends, we rather have the peace and quiet. We will definitely be back to this magical vortex!

Yelp
A unexpected and hidden jewel. Unassuming from the street, super hip inside. Great food, top notch drinks. The attention to detail creates inspiration and awe.

Jessica H.

Yelp
This hotel is literally a little oasis in the desert. The place is beautiful, with detail to everything. Small fixtures, lighting, rock color choice... So many small details that make this place special and one of a kind. It's got a cool 60s/70s vibe and truly feels like a step back in time. The town surrounding is derelict and eerie but it gives it a fun weird experience. The pools have water from natural hot springs, so that's why it smells like sulphur. This is normal for hot springs. If that bothers you, go to a regular resort with a normal pool instead. The sunscreen they want you to wear when you go into the pools is terribly thick and oily, with loads of zinc that leaves you super white. Comical really. That's the only thing I didn't like here, but I understand it helps preserve the water vs using typical sunscreen. The bar is one of the coolest ones I've been to. It's got a dive bar feel but also naughty vibes with topless women in the paintings on the wall. Artsy free love vibes The rooms have a mini fridge filled with lots of different drink and the record player in the rooms are a unique addition that brings the ambiance together. I love this place. It's not a snobby resort. It's a down to earth humble yet upscale place that is a perfect getaway. Enjoy!!

Edward L.

Yelp
Dropped by a few weeks ago. Sorry to say, not much has changed . Had a drink and left ,wanted to stay the night. P.S. management never tried to contact me. The good thing is, had a blast at the casino near by. Scratch this place off my ever want to go list.

Matthew D.

Yelp
Highly recommended! This was such a wonderful relaxing experience. The hotel was beautiful, and the food was amazing.

Magda K.

Yelp
Stopped there as we were exploring the desert - so hidden - food was amazing, vibe was amazing ... Really really unique hidden gem ... Like treasure find! Meatballs is a must

Lucas J.

Yelp
My 4 friends arrived before me and got a cabana with 5 wrist bands. I told the cashier I was meeting them and got charged anyways. We went in the restaurant after they closed the springs at 3. The food on the happy hour menu was pretty good. $7 for chips and guacamole but $6 for an iced tea? The overall vibe is nice.

Clythie C.

Yelp
Every detail about this hidden gem is so well thought out and extra special, from the welcome drinks served in hand made pottery, to the record player in each hotel room. The hot springs pool is clean and warm, and never gets too crowded. Day passes are a steal but if you can stay over, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant offers delicious meals (also served poolside if you prefer) and stepping into the bar transports you to another world. I am afraid if I give you any more details about this wonderful hot springs hotel, that I won't be able to book a room myself the next time I can go. Which will be very soon because it's *that* fantastic. Ok, ok, ok I'll give you one more pro tip: Order the Garam Masala Aioli to use as a dip for fries (or anything else on your plate) - and you'll dream of it forevermore!

Sol Y.

Yelp
Pure bliss. What an absolute gem. Everything about the hotel feels so special and intentional. Incredible value for the experience you get. I booked a night at the La Ranchita house and was able to use the hot springs as early as 9AM as I waited to check in. We had snacks and drinks by the pool which were delicious. The service here is excellent too. All the facilities are incredibly clean and beautiful. I could live in the bar/restaurant (dinner + cocktails were excellent too!!). La Ranchita itself is gorgeously-decorated with stunning views of the desert. I already can't wait to be back. As much as I want to keep this gem my little secret, I want this new business to thrive ***Important to note, all of these negative reviews appear to have been before the hotel was completely renovated by its new owners. Do yourself a favor and check their website.***

B L.

Yelp
We used to frequent the spa with the old owners. They had great food and great service. The new owners have done a fair job at fixing the place up. The food and service is definitely a downgrade from what it used to be. The room looked nice but was very dusty look like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and the floors are uneven cold tiles that are uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. Don't bother looking for handicap parking it is a free-for-all on the street because they still have not completed the parking lot. With the prices you are charging you really need to step up your game. Disappointed!

Christy L.

Yelp
Drove here from Phoenix for a solo trip to celebrate my birthday! I don't have one complaint . The staff were all attentive and many even wished me a happy birthday. Ernie was so kind and welcoming. My room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The grounds and the mineral pools are soothing. An extra bonus was the delicious food! I got the lamb meatballs, vegetable potato hash and the short ribs. Pictured below! I look forward to returning.

Bonita R.

Yelp
The tranquility and ambiance of the whole place was wonderful. The pool side menu and drinks were surprisingly delicious. The changing room amenities needed attention. Extra towels and wash clothes were needed. They have shampoo, conditioner and a blow dryer. Lockers were a good size and free.

Casey P.

Yelp
We LOVED our stay here. Pros: quiet and relaxing pretty much everywhere you go, relaxing pool area for hotel guests and more lively pool for day pass/hotel guests, the food and drinks are great (with big portions!!), the bed was super comfortable, air conditioning super cold, room was clean and vibey of course. Everything is photo worthy!!! Cons: flies everywhere, no real night life. Be aware that the pools are full of mineral water so it will obviously smell like sulfur and be warm :) such a chill getaway and experience and we really loved the aesthetic. We will be back for sure!

Katie W.

Yelp
Magical oasis in the dessert, if you're a fan of a vortex and hot springs it's a must !

Robert L.

Yelp
Had a great time. Got to eat in the restaurant, enjoy the hot springs, and enjoy the bar with some live music later. The only thing we did not do is stay overnight in one of the rooms. The place is still a work in progress as they work hard to add new areas to this place, but they have done a great job of keeping those new areas separated from the working parts of the place. if you want a relaxing day, some food, service and a nice relaxing hot springs dip - then I would recommend coming to this place. It really appealed to us for so many reasons.

Grace W.

Yelp
This hotel is pure luxury, and literally perfect. It's everything from the free welcome cocktail, to the pool attendant being kind and bringing us margaritas, to the ranch dressing being delicious. The vintage store owner next to the hotel even gave me free records, and i had the ability to take them back into my room and play them, because there's a record player in every room! You have to check out the vintage store down the street from the hotel. The ambiance is very laid back and free. The rooms are stunning and comfortable. It's spotless and just has this rich, expensive quality(which I'm sure the remodel was.) it feels like you're in another world in the 50's. We walked down to the lake, and around the little town, which i recommend for some extra flavor. The mole for dinner and the ribeye is a must have, but get a side of the potatoes. I am so glad I came before this hotel got so popular it's impossible to get a reservation. Every detail was genuine, crisp and elevated.

Judy S.

Yelp
I saw an ad for the hotel so my girlfriend and I decided to do a day pass. We were both surprised at how nice it was! Everything was great! Melissa showed us around the property. She was very thorough and courteous. We had lunch first . Chelsea was out server. She was phenomenal. The food was amazing. We sat on the outside patio. The bar area is very coo as well. After lunch we sat by the pool. It was lovely. My only constructure criticism is the lounge chairs are in the shade. Some only have partial sun so if you want to get a tan it's not going to happen. Perhaps re-think the layout. Although comfortable it just doesn't make sense. We will definitely go back. I urge everyone to check out this very cool hotel.

Kate O.

Yelp
This is an amazing find! Super friendly staff, really beautiful and peaceful grounds and fabulous food at the restaurant! It's only an hour from San Diego and it feels a world apart! I highly recommend it!

Ashley W.

Yelp
Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel was a magical place to get away! The hotel feels upscale with very nice rooms, architecture, and absolutely delicious drinks and food. Our King guest room had everything we could've wanted: robes, slippers, even a record player! The hot springs were extremely relaxing and not overcrowded. We want to come back ASAP!!

Amy H.

Yelp
Lots of potential, underdelivered. We were so excited to check this place out but in the end were left disappointed. We checked in early to take advantage of the mineral pools and were told we would get a text when our room was ready, which never happened. After the check in time came and went we finally went back to the check in trailer only to be told our room had been ready since 3 pm but no one ever told us. It took a very long time to get food/drinks at the pool and we observed many dirty cups/plates that were never cleared in the 2 hours while we were waiting. My impression is that the developers did a good job with the renovations, but staffing is lacking. Also keep in mind there is nothing else in the area. We were happy to unplug and have a respite for a night but the services offered are not up to par. The room itself was wonderful, but until they get the food/drink/customer service sorted I would not recommend coming here.

Autumn V.

Yelp
I have nothing but amazing reviews about this place. The staff the bar, the restaurant, the food, the beds the service. Everything gets five stars everyone's on point and I was here this last weekend on 420 the place was slammed busy and we were accommodated 100% of the time. If they had a place for me to live, I would live here

Cibu M.

Yelp
From unique location to impeccable service this is a dream. I've been twice in just the past month. The design and esthetic are your first clue that this will be an experience as no other in San Diego. The hot springs are delightful and the accommodations are relaxing and just gorgeous. There's no end to what you'll be looking at and thinking as you enjoy this experience. Brian aka BootHunter

Jaime D.

Yelp
Love this place. This place is great for a short getaway. The food is amazing. The room was clean and decor was awesome. They have the friendliest staff I have ever seen. Total experience was great and I will definitely come here again

Nicole A.

Yelp
We had a really phenomenal stay here! It felt like an experience you'd have at a much more expensive hotel. Every detail was considered, and the staff were all super friendly. I noted that it was my boyfriend's birthday in the reservation. They wished him happy birthday at both check in and checkout and left cookies and a hand-written note for him in our room. Will absolutely be coming again. :)

Nick P.

Yelp
The staff was very pleasant. Our room was well decorated and very comfortable. The hot springs were lots of fun. We will be back also the meal we had at the restaurant was very good.

Talisia P.

Yelp
Our server, Colton, is literally the backbone of this hotel. He has SUCH an amazing work ethic and friendly attitude that made our stay that much better. He was helping us everywhere, the pool, the echo room, the bar, and the restaurant. He was always super accommodating to any requests we had. He was one of the only servers working, and was superrrr busy, but never complained once and always treated us with the best customer service. The hotel room was super cute and the food was sooo good. Will definitely be coming back as long as Colton is there!! somebody give that man a raise

Yelp
If I could I would give 4.5 stars. There is SO MUCH good here, I was absolutely blown away by the majority of our experience. The renovation and decor is just gorgeous, the rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, dinner and breakfast were both special in their own ways (I think my favorite part of the whole stay was having breakfast outside our room in the morning, so lovely), and enjoying both the main pool and Echo room were exactly what we needed to replenish and relax. On the whole, the service was excellent. Check in, the waitstaff in the restaurant and whom I assume were property management were all so sweet and helpful. My one gripe was the bar staff. Three of us showed up at different times due to what we had going on that evening, and each of us had to wait at least ten minutes first to be acknowledged, and then at least another 10-15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. It was not busy, and there were at least 4-5 people behind the bar, and no one really seemed to be in charge of anything. Someone would take our drink order and wander off, then someone else would start making it and get distracted... It was really strange, as everything else about this place was absolutely pitch perfect. Hopefully we were just the random recipients of them having an off night. That aside, I absolutely plan to come back, hopefully before this place totally blows up. I expect that it will, its pretty special.

Yelp
Crappy service. And WAY over priced!! On top of that, Champagne is suppose to be FRESH w BUBBLES. When I told the bartender it was flat, he literally got an attitude and drank out of my glass to see if I was lying!!! What a trashy experience. Bye bye.

Yelp
An absolute oasis. The food is incredible. The hit springs. The vibes. The music. Runnnnnn and get a room you need to stay here and again the food. Some of the best food I've ever had. Gorgeous bar. Every little touch is perfect. And the staff is top notch. Everyone is down to earth and kind.

Yelp
Very beautiful and relaxing hotel, the food in the restaurant was very good both meals. Definitely recommend the harissa chickpeas! The staff were all very courteous and attentive, very welcoming. The only thing that could have been better is the temperature of the water! I was expecting it to be very warm, but it was only about 95-98 degrees F, which is just a tad cooler than normal body temperature.

Yelp
Jacumba hot springs hotel is the apex of rest and magic. From the moment you check in at the lovely vintage trailer and are greeted with a welcome cocktail, your shoulders drop and you are transported. The space is breathtaking, every detail has been carefully thought through. Our group stayed in a handful of rooms including the astonishing Siren Suite. All were more beautiful than the last! We enjoyed a poolside cabana suite (large, comfortable and perfect with a fire pit!) with food and bar service, before taking a walk to the local hot springs lake. Dinner at the restaurant was impeccable, our server Chelsea seamlessly handled 17 people and every bite of food was amazing. The cocktails were perfect and beautiful, just like the space. The stars are bright in this desert town, and the air tastes so clean! In the morning we were greeted with a lovely coffee cart to serve all dietary restrictions. I know this sounds weird but make sure to check out the beautiful bar restrooms and take a walk down Main Street. This town is only going to get better and better at the hands of the Human Kind group! Jacumba has the vibes of early J Tree but better, and is an easy 45 minute drive from San Diego or el centro. Cannot recommend enough!

Yelp
My band played there last week and the hospitality/ attention to detail was absolutely incredible and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The overall design is impeccable, again the attention to detail is ace. Everything is so cool. The food was delicious and the drinks get the job done! Overall a 15/10 experience. We highly recommend the Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel experience!!

Yelp
Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel is a place to just get away! The hotel was reopened last October and the remodel is great. The food is absolutely delicious. My King guest room had everything I could've wanted: robes, slippers, even a record player! The hot springs were extremely relaxing and not overcrowded. I want to come back ASAP!!

Yelp
I visited Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel for a friend's birthday celebration. There's only one pool that is accessible to visitors with a day pass, and it was just gross. Maybe it was the sulfide in the water, but the entire pool area smells like farts. Pool was small, dirty, stinky, and only goes up to 4 feet. It was bummer to pay for a day pass and Cabana to only have access to that one pool. No actual hot springs available. Overall it was a disappointing experience. The harsh juxtaposition between a gentrified instagrammable hotel, abandoned houses across the street, and the border wall viewable from the parking lot made it challenging to relax. This was not an experience I'd seek out again.

Yelp
I'm telling you this is a jewel in the desert: run don't walk to spend time there. The pool and the restaurant are lovely. Delicious food. Can't say enough good things. Staff is wonderful and attentive: Morgan who runs the place, Laura in the bar, Eileen as hostess. Just amazing all of them -can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Very excited for the grand reopening coming soon. Amazing reconstruction. The surrounding area looks like a movie set. Incredible views! #jacumbahotsprings
