An amazing place ! It was (actually it is) a cave from where stones for buildings are estracted. The entire scenario is stunning, silent and wild. It could be posssible to stay there for hours, walking, climbing and looking around to catch a different point of view. Use sunglasses, skin protection and a hat becausr the sun is strong. Use trekking shoes, if you have. Do not understimate the place: it could be easy to fall. But there, it will be possible to feel the power of nature, to let fantasy free and imagine a wonderful world through those giant stones and walls. Absolutely marevellous !

Jaddih Hill in Jaddih Village, Socah District, Bangkalan Regency, Madura Island, East Java Province. This hill was originally a limestone mining area which was later made into a tourist attraction. This tourist attraction offers beautiful panoramic view of its limestone mining cliffs and lakes as well as many outbound tourism activities. © Aswin Nobby Susanto, 2017.

Better to come during dry season. Generally speaking the road conditions are not ideal for your regular avanza, but it will survive the trip with some luck. No tarred roads from about 1km from the site. Pay 20k to park and 20k to walk around it. Theres lorries and excavation equipment and a watchpost with some friendly guides/guards. Its an open air chalk/limestone almost at the end of its life and has aspirations to be a homestay/waterpark/photo op etc. However none of that compares to its worth as an interesting geotourism site. The photos will make it clear.

Nice place but the journey to reach the place is rather a bumpy ride. Some of the road is not tar road especially when you almost reach the area. They will charge Rp20000 for your car and then another Rp5000/person to enter. The place is a brick mining area with limestone cliffs. There's boat ride too and they carved out lots of caves making it a good place for photography area as a lot of locals will go there for photo session. There's a guy who showed us the place around and he took a lot of photos for us. We just gave him some token of appreciation.

This is a fascinating white brick mining area and limestone cliffs that offer terrific photography opportunities. There were some interesting stone structures and tunnels which were very picturesque. The photographs came out very scenic with backdrop of the limestone cliffs and the sky.

The place is really hot if you visiting in the morning till afternoon, but this place have a great spot to take your photos to make it look good. Don't forget to bring your umbrella or sunglasses if you cant handle the hot weather, i suggest to bring your own cool drinks but don't forget to throw your own rubbish to the trash can

Active mining site/tourist attraction. No safety protocol in place. 10000 rupiah on a motorcycle to enter. Dangerous if you are not careful but fun if you love adventure.

Not recommended if you come here on weekdays during summertime. Those lovely photos only happen when it's rainy seasons, so you'll get that beautiful green lake surrounded by wall of karst. Biuuut during summertime, it's just sad pool of murky water. True, the caves are still amazing to see, but come on, we need more after the challenging long drive. Be careful on the road leading to or away from the place, lots of bumpy uneven road. Make sure your vehicle and you are up to it.
