Google
Good dim sum spot in Sauga. You have a variety of fav Dim Sum options to order ìn addition to normal Chinese dishes. Place opens early which is great. They also sell frozen Dim Sum as well if you'd like to take some home. Service is great. Staff is friendly and attentive. Good for Dim Sum, lunch, and dinner.

Google
Customer service is terrible. The middle aged woman named Cindy harassed me by screaming at the top of her lungs making accusations I didn't pay when I did. It went through after my debit being rejected a couple times. Paid both in cash and debit. The total was 32. I paid 23 and the rest in cash when I looked up the rest of my funds left on the card. She had zero patience and lost the receipt that did get approved. I understand I made a mistake in not checking first, but I needed to stay at a place with my nephew to kill time as the walk in doctor wasn't available until 2 hours later and made the mistake of assuming I had a little more than 30 left on my debit. (Doesn't matter I had cash with us anyway even if I made that small mistake ) When I tried explaining it to her she went on a tangent threatening and screaming. Did not even let me take back my phone when I showed evidence of the transaction under their name on the same date! She pulled my nephew and I aside to sit with her at another table so she could confirm with the bank if it really did go through. She found out it did and I was telling the truth. No apology no remorse no nothing. If I didn't have to see a the doctor within the next 40 mins across the street and my nephew wasn't with me I wouldn't have been so patient. After the appointment I Gladly went back to complain with two goals in mind. Her apology and her name. Remained calm and went straight to the point all she came up with was broken English and unreasonable excuses. I feel that even though I accomplished those two goals , I might confront the manager to file a complaint. Otherwise this google review exposing her name and letting everyone else I know about my awful experience which made them turned off from going there is enough for me. Never going back and I hope they lose business. I'm not surprised of them demanding tips. She didn't even give me back change , gave them 0 tips. They can keep the dirty extra cents, it's all a reflection of their character and not mine. *Update* I called them asking to speak to the manager they hung up on me 3 times. I filed a complaint against them for potential fraud and scamming behavior. She kept on saying Cindy apologized already only because I had to insist her for it. She was still rude. I wanted to speak to their manager but if the one hanging up on me is their manager, they shouldn't be allowed to be one. I wanted to ask if there was any way they could have reprinted the receipt instead of harassing me the way she did. (I just found out they could have done that) to prevent future happenings like this in different places. Really disgusting.

Google
My husband and I have been coming here for years. The food is fantastic, made fresh on premises. The staff are great, we are always greeted like family. They don’t do cart service, you order off a menu but the food arrives to your table hot. They also have many flash frozen dim sum dishes available to take home. It’s not fancy inside but it’s always clean. Well worth a try if you like dim sum.

Google
Had a great lunch today. We have had dim sum for years, but our first timing trying Jade Dim Sum. It was fantastic, great staff, great hot food delivered fresh and fast. We will definitely return!

Mia Gonzales

Google
Typical dim sum, with good portion size and decent prices. Parking can gets difficult during the peak times. This place also has some frozen dim sum for purchase if interested to have at home.

Google
Jade dim sum is a solid local restaurant. Their menu is varied but they stick to very good dim sum choices. The cost of the food is good relative to portion size. I was really impressed with the tea...the teapot was full of leaves and the tea was strong and flavourful rather than weak. It was definitely a good yum cha (drink tea) dim sum experience.

Google
Came here on a Sunday at 1PM and it was packed! Note they do have a very small parking lot. Great selection of the staple dim sum dishes at very fair prices. We ordered the usual affair and everything hit the spot except the custard bun. Wouldn't get it again and would recommend the egg yolk bun. The custard was solid and almost jello like. Would recommend and come back.

SAZ

Google
Perhaps a little unassuming fron the outside, Jade Dim Sum is an excellent option for Chinese food, especially being one of the few restaurants in Mississauga/Brampton offering all day dim sum. The items were all fresh and hot and yummy. The egg bun was easily my favorite. The staff were also very attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back. It's gonna be my go to place now.

Yelp
Came here with a few friends + two toddlers and did not need to wait. The place was a bit cramped but clean; they were able to provide us with high chair and booster seats which was a surprise. Servers were friendly and very efficient; the food came out very fast as well. Affordable pricing and decent quality in Mississauga. Would come back just for the value! Of note- if you are driving northbound on Dixie, you will need to do a U-turn in order to get into the plaza. Once there, parking is quite limited, but you can probably find a spot in the back of the restaurant. Obviously not comparable to dim sums out in the Markham area, but good enough for those who live in the Mississauga area, who want value.

Mellisa Jule N.

Yelp
Great spot for dumplings! Not only is their food absolutely delicious but it's also quite affordable. We got 5 different menu items and it came to only around $30. At the end of it all, we were also quite full. The only thing I would say though is that the servers were in a rush, and was constantly telling us hurry up and finish. We came in at around 6:30pm and online it says they close at 7:30pm but the guy was telling us that they close at 7:00pm. After talking for a bit they let us dine in and confirmed that they do close at 7:30pm but order closing time is at 7:00pm. So we ordered quickly. Upon getting our food they told us to hurry eating. Overall they were very adamant that we hurry up and we constantly felt rushed to the point where we couldn't properly enjoy the food. Food was 5 stars but I felt the service we experienced deserved the 3 stars. I get that they wanted to start cleaning up the dining area but there were multiple customers still eating as well and constantly pushing us to eat fast was definitely not the way to go about it.

Adrian C.

Yelp
Went here with a group of 10 people for dim sum. Getting into this plaza was quite the struggle and you'll have to make a U-turn on Dixie road if you are coming in North, East or West bound. Before I talk about the food I just want to address the concerns people may have regarding the service and tips. Service was pretty standard for a Canto place, you get your tea, pencil to check off you dim sum items and there is no cart. We ordered a rice dish and almost one of every dim sum item and when we split the bill it was $25 per person. I have asked my friend to check over the receipt but its incredibly vague and unclear for its breakdown which I'm not a fan of even if the total cost was reasonable. Items I would not order again: - fried stuffed eggplant, it was probably the worst of all the restaurants i've been to - steamed soup dumplings, pretty doughy and not as much soup most of the other dishes pictured were passable or decent especially the cheung fun, fried dough, siu mai, mango pudding. Honestly if it wasn't for my friends in the area, I would try making the drive to experience some of the dim sums in Markham.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Service was swift and to the point. I see some complaints about service on reviews so were we ready for a struggle, but it was fine. Food was fresh and tasty. Price was right.

Celine D.

Yelp
Good prices, decent dim sum, not too long of a wait. Everyone and their moms were at Jade on Sunday so we had to take a number and wait for a table. We only waited ~20 minutes, it wasn't too bad. You mark off the dishes you want and instead of the carts, the waiters bring out dishes in their hands and walk around to see if you ordered it. Parking is pretty limited in the plaza so you're lucky if you can snag a spot.

Deborah H.

Yelp
Limited parking space, quick service, food prices are fair ($4.50 for most dim sum dishes, some speciality ones are 5.99). There's also a tea charge of $1 or 2 which is pretty standard at dimsum places. We would come back food tasted pretty good for the west end. I would skip the pork sui mai, doesn't taste good.

Mayurakshi S.

Yelp
Just came here to grab some wholesale frozen dimsum but ended up having dinner. Food was really good specialty dumplings, but this place needs some love. This place is not for ambiance only for food

Mila D.

Yelp
Foods are tasty , the staffs are friendly and welcoming, the place is quiet and good for family and specially for kids who loves dumplings.

Ada C.

Yelp
Food was A-OK, the place overall looked pretty old and dilapidated, and the service was horrible. We ordered some beef ribs that didn't show up, so we asked about it and were told that the order would be coming out in a few minutes. We waited and waited for another 30 minutes for the beef ribs to finally come out. Obviously they lied. They most likely had forgotten about the beef ribs and just started steaming it up when we asked. As my husband was checking the restaurant bill, the server clarified, IN A RUDE WAY, that tip was not included by saying something like HEY, YOU NEED TO TIP. OMG that was so rude! My husband tipped over 20% because he did the math wrong! I would have tipped this mean guy 0% if I were the one paying the bill.

Jan C.

Yelp
Food was super affordable. Average $4.50 a dim sum dish. Delicious, hot and fresh. Will go again if I'm in Mississauga again!

Juria M.

Yelp
Jade dim sum in Mississauga just told me my tip wasn't good enough for them and demanded a bigger tip. When I said in Canada tipping isn't mandated. (Even though I was already giving a tip ) she told me this is Canada. Not china. And that I had to pay a bigger tip. This is some crazy shady business. I hope everybody sees this. Feel free to share.

Leonard E.

Yelp
This place was very busy for dim sum this morning but the wait was only 5 minutes. Four of us ordered 14 dishes and the order fulfilment was actually very fast. Overall, prices are up and the food portions smaller. Taste, more specifically, food flavour was bland and we made considerable use of the hot sauce & soya sauce. The ambiance was casual and service was good.

Yeniffer P.

Yelp
Food: it was good, but nothing mind blowing. There was a big menu so there is something for everyone. It appears they make much of their items onsite as I saw someone wrapping springrolls. Pricing is pretty good for dim sum nowadays but it is also reflective of the no frills approach in the dining experience. I recommend if you are looking for affordable no fuss dimsum. The negatives is the parking lot. Horrible layout and just not enough spots it seems. I was blocked in completely when leaving. The lines in the parking lot are next to non existent. Customer service was minimal, no frills. They bring you food and that's the extent of it. It is a small space inside and was quite busy during the weekday lunch hour.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Dim sum is decent. Nice & hot! They have a whole freezer of pre packed dim sum which you can made at home. Price is reasonable. Service has been consistently poor but I love dim sum and there's nothing in South Etobicoke so one must sacrifice some things.

Vivian S.

Yelp
This tucked away place has been around for years and the bonus here is that you often see the teams making their dim sum when the restaurant is slow ..old school indeed. They offer a full menu but they do traditional well. Shrimp crystal dumplings , shui mai- really good...totally hits the spot when craving tastes from your child hood good.

Sheila M.

Yelp
Terrible dim sum . Every single item we ordered was either too doughy or too salty. Xiao long bao had no soup in it. The customer service was also terrible. Literally stood at the door for 10 min before anyone bothered seating / acknowledging us. The dim sum are not fresh , u can tell they purchased these from happy dim sum and warmed them for u. Make the extra drive to Markham or Chinatown if u want decent dim sum .

Cara C.

Yelp
No frills dim sum restaurant in Etobicoke. Tasty food at a great price. They also have frozen dim sum for you to steam at home.

Natalie D.

Yelp
I have never experienced such disrespect the way I did at this place. I made a pick up order for my first time as I was in the area and needed a quick pick me up. I called and ordered like so: "can I please have 4 pieces of shrimp dumpling, and 4 siu mai" the woman on the phone repeated my order "so you want four of each?" (Language barrier here) As I arrived she aggressively asked for my phone number, rang up the total and said $40...I said "sorry? That's my order?" She death stared me and said..."you said 4 orders" I then repeated "no....four pieces of each" she then raised her voice at my scrunched up the paper she took my order on and threw it in my direction. She then grabbed my food went to the back swaying her head back and forth and everyone from the back came to take a peak at me (I guess the "white girl" ordered wrong and everyone needed to see her). She came back again, super aggressive and rude "next time don't say quantity just order" I didn't realize how many pieces came with 1 order as it doesn't say anywhere on the sheet. I apologized profusely, but she proceeded to treat me like scum throwing the debit machine at me. I wanted to leave so badly and felt so unwelcome as anyone would have. She didn't even bother giving me chopsticks and just threw a fork in there. Not that this matters but was clearly profiling me. Rude and disgusting behaviour like this has no place in a world like today. As for the dumplings...boring and alright, there was still the poop vein in my har gow so that was...disgusting?

Bob P.

Yelp
Damned good food at a very reasonable price. I never have to wait. Not the fanciest place. But that is not what you are looking for here. Lots of families. Don't listen to the naysayers. They don't know what they're talking about!!!!

Carrie N.

Yelp
Great stop on the way to the airport. Yes! You don't need to go to one of the many chinatowns to get dim sum. It's not overwhelming with salt or msg. Beef balls: interesting meat balls, it was like the middle of a dim sum without the wrapper. Not too much filler or vegetation to be wrangling with. For the most part tasty. :) Pork and vegetable dumplings: yummy again, not too much filler, and mostly meat. Tender and not chewy. I'd order it again. Salt and pepper short ribs: very interesting my friends... these were not your average short ribs yet delicious. Plain salt and pepper... perhaps I'll order the sweet and sour or another type. Shrimp fun: yum... especially with all the shrimp enveloped inside the delicate noodle. Note: this is not a large place.. although their tables can seat up to 8 and there are a few of them. Just so you know this isn't a large Cantonese style restaurant. It's a good local mom and pops place with great food! So if you are on the way to the airport in Mississauga, it's about an 10 drive. Definite stop. They have quick service and easy parking in the lot. More parking out back.

Yelp
This place is THE BEST! Ok, so I love Dim Sum, and my Dad & I are the only ones in our family who like to eat it. So when my uncle comes in from out of town, and wants to eat Dim Sum with us, I'm definitely ALWAYS down. We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30pm on Fathers Day 2018 and it was packkkked. But we didn't mind waiting. Thankfully we were seated right away since there were only 3 of us. It's not a super fancy place, but it's clean, organised and has lots of seating. There is also no cart service here, but table service, so it kind of feels like an ACYE restaurant. The staff are also so friendly and helpful! There are also a lot of English speaking staff working here. So if you don't speak Cantonese or Mandarin, fear not, you can definitely find someone here to help you. They start you off with the classic jasmine tea (this is so great for digestion and your metabolism ) It's also included and you can definitely ask for free refills throughout your meal. Something really great about this place are it's menus, they have the standard itemized list menu with the English translations as well as a photo menu with the corresponding numbers so you can actually see what you're planning on ordering. Standouts: Shrimp Dumpling (Ha Gow) Pork Shrimp Sui Mai Shrimp Cheung Fun ( Rice Flour Roll ) Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf Fried Shrimp Roll Deep Fried Crab Claw Overall, I had an amazing first experience here, and I will definitely come back! PS - They also have a deep freezer full of fresh made/frozen dim sum for purchase so you can take it home and reheat yourself!

Doris E.

Yelp
Customer service was great. Food was delious My family of seven loved it. My grand kids loved the squid, dumplings and were willing to try the chicken feet. We will go there again soon

Roy M.

Yelp
We went here for dimsum. Not recommended. The hot and sour soup was horrible. More like scriccha soup with some random stuff added in. Really poor choice of dim sum options. And what we did get was sub standard. Sooooo look for somewhere else.

Mj S.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I've been coming to Jade Dim Sum for as long as I can remember. Not to mention the copious amount of frozen dim sum my family buys from here! The food is not to be compared with the restaurants in Richmondhill, but very good on it's own. The batter they use in their deep fried squid tentacles is different than other restaurants. Very minimal batter but still a great texture and tasty. Would recommend!

Hiroshi A.

Yelp
On-point. I love me some dim sum and this is going to be my go-to whenever I visit the area. Highly recommended. Can be busy on weekends, so plan accordingly.

Kerry W.

Yelp
What happened to taste and flavours?! Practically all the dimsum dishes were so bland. For the first time the sirracha bottle was being used by every member of my family, which was comical but what's a person to do when food tastes like nothing. The bill came to $136 including tips for 38 dishes of dimsum. So that's $27 per person. I can get a good meal else where for what i paid.

Bill N.

Yelp
Mediocre dim sum and service, at a decent price, in a restaurant that will remind you of eating in your circa 1980s bathroom. The dim sum isn't very good here. Siu mai tasted like some kinda flour ball, without the meaty, juicy taste you associate with good meat dumplings. Har gow and other similar dumplings had more wrapper than filling. Taro deep fried dumplings had a funny taste to them, as if they injected taro perfume into the or something like that. Congee tasted like my mom's congee (worst insult I can think of!). Thing that really got my goat was the service, though. The restaurant is tiny, and there's not even many tables, and yet the staff are always running around like headless chickens, and exclaiming "too busy! Too busy!" Too busy to get me my previously frozen dim sum? Too busy to refill my tea? How long does it take to prepare lava custard buns (20 minutes, apparently)? They need to seriously update their order taking system, because it's just not working. If you want value dim sum (though I don't really like it), I think you might be better off trying Happy Dim Sum nearby. The dim sum might be smaller generally, and the selection a bit less varied, but I find the taste of everything to be more palatable overall. Also, it's quite a bit cheaper. You won't get good service over there either, but at least you'll be paying less.

Home Mario R.

Yelp
Be prepared to pay for items you didn't order and extremely rude personnel. Service is awful and food not much better. Even parking is a problem.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
My mom loves dim sum. Unfortunately for her, dim sum in Ottawa (where she lives now) is not that good compared to in Toronto (where she used to live), not to mention that dim sum in Ottawa is at least twice the price that it is in Toronto. So needless to say, on our most recent trip back to the GTA, we had to get some dim sum. We checked out Jade Dim Sum and were not disappointed! They serve some good dim sum for real cheap. We (mom, dad and I) stuffed ourselves silly for just over $30 (not including tax and tip). All the dim sum items we ordered were $2.50-$2.99. The shrimp har gow, shrimp siu mai, shrimp spinach dumplings and shrimp rice rolls were amazing! They were fully of shrimpy goodness! The Shanghai soup dumplings were ok, but lacked flavour. The fried taro cakes were disappointing. They were mushy and tasted mostly of flour :( My dad loved the chicken feet (I didn't eat any because chicken feet freak me out). He also liked the beef tripe (I didn't eat any of this either because tripe looks like pieces of towels). I'm adventurous, but not that adventurous, haha. We also ordered some Cantonese Chow Mein ($11.50). The noodles were really crispy and they were generous with the toppings. Service was great, which I have to admit, I was surprised by, as dim sum places are not known to have the best service. Servers were friendly and polite. I like how your order is in duplicate. They take the original and the carbon copy is kept at your table. As they bring the dishes, they mark it off on your copy. Prices are clearly marked on the order sheet too. They do charge you $2 for a pot of tea, which wasn't indicated anywhere that I could see, but since the food items were so reasonably priced, this didn't bother me. Everything is in English and their menu has pictures. It's a casual eatery, so don't expect anything fancy. Overall, an excellent place to get your dim sum fix without breaking the bank. There's minimal parking at the front of the restaurant, so parking might be an issue during peak hours. We were there for dinner on a Friday and there were 2 parking spots left.

Cecilia M.

Yelp
Most of the things I said in my original review still stands. Go read that first! Still great food now. However, portion sizes have drastically reduced for some of the dishes... I guess something had to suffer, in order for them to keep their prices... sigh...

Vivian B.

Yelp
3.5* Good food and imo and friend's would say the price is really good here. Ranges from $2.8-2.99 for majority of Dim Sum dishes and $4.5 for Rice. I haven't had DS in sooo long so I went a little overboard and ordered 19 dishes for 3 people :) LOL (packed leftovers for lunch the next day). I came on a wednesday afternoon for lunch around 1pm and it wasn't busy. I just don't really like the location as much as it's at a busy intersection and there's only one way getting in and out of this plaza. A bit far for me to come here just to eat ds as there are other ones more central Sauga but I was near by and my mom hasn't been here before so took her here. Quite a bit of seats and a few large round tables. Not the greatest interior but food was made in house and comes out piping hot and fresh. However it does take a while for the steamed stuff to come out. We ordered a lot and got all of the items on our list with no problems. They accept cash and DEBIT only. I paid with debit and near the cash there's a freezer where you can buy their frozen ds in bulk. My mom bought a few bags of ha-gao and siu-mai for us and her sister for $25 a bag and I think there's 50 pieces in 1 bag? 3.5* for food. Decent dim sum! 3* for service. Only had one negative experience with one lady. Sounded a bit rude to my mom when she asked her a question. The rest I had no problems with.

Ebab L.

Yelp
If I can leave zero stars, I would. Absolutely terrible. Most of the food was cold. The congee was so cold that they took it back and put it in the microwave. I told them Im not paying for that. They refused and made me pay, so I left a zero tip. They told me to never come back. HAH! I was never coming back anyway for terrible cold dimsum, microwaved congee, and terrible service.

Shannon C.

Yelp
First off, I wanted to order everything on the menu! The price is super good and ranges around $2.5-$4.5. They don't have any special items, but basically all the main dim sum items to fill your crave. You can also buy their dim sum frozen so you can enjoy at the comfort of your own home. The restaurant looks a bit run down, but the service is nice. Servers speak English well enough to communicate with you! The food was mediocre compared to dim sum places in Markham, but it was edible - some items were a bit cold though. I'm not sure if I'll be back since the location is kind of far from me, but definitely if I'm craving it and around the area.

David T.

Yelp
Jade Dim Sum is casual atmosphere and it is clean, organized and has lots of seating. It is usually super busy during peak hours and especially on weekends. Parking is limited though because it is shared with other units in the small strip. It is located on Dixie, just off of Queensway. The selection is wonderful and pretty cheap too! The servers are helpful and the space is plentiful compared to Happy Dim Sum which is down the street on Cawthra and Dixie. They do not have cart service but instead you order your dishes all at once. You can choose from a variety of selections from steamed, pan-fried, fried and congee dishes. They also do take-outs and frozen dim sum for later eats. It is a cash and debit only establishment but debit must be $20 or more.

Yelp
Cantonese style dimsum. We've only frozen and hot take out experience due to pandemic. 7 out of 10 for food taste. So why 2 stars? We don't live close, so we usually order alot of frozen and some hot take out. Problem came in our latest and last order. BBQ Pork Puff (Char Sui Sau) from this place is the way they should be experienced. The first two time we'd ordered, they were amazing. This last time, 2 out of 5 had rancid taste and smell. I called and the lady gave us a hard time about wanting to exchange/return/refund. I explained to the lady that 1 of 4 were bad they day before and we didn't think much of it. 4 of 6 had rancid and sour smell/taste the following morning so we contacted the store. Kept asking me why I didn't return yesterday when I had ordered the food. Told her that only 1 was bad and we didn't think much about it, and beside it was late in the day so didn't think the store would still be opened. Explained to her that we called the morning after, when we found 4 out of 6 were bad. The lady gave us a hard time, then told us to come in and the boss/chef will look at it. Gave us a hard time when we explained what happened. Went on to complain that we ordered too much, and in the same breath complaint about how hard business is with the pandemic. Finally the chef/boss came out and stared at me for at least two minutes. Lady was translating to him about my concern. Chef finally took one of the pastry, broke it, smelled it, through it in the garbage, and wag the finger probably indicating to go ahead and give me a refund or something. The lady asked what I want and I said I'd preferred a new batch. She said no, so we settle on the refund. The whole time the lady was not apologetic, nor was she nice, helpful, or concern. This experience left a bad taste and needless to say, we won't be going back. What would you have done?

Liz W.

Yelp
Some people like flowers and chocolates for Valentines Day, but I Like DimSum, especially if it's from # Jade Dim Sum on Dixie at the Queensway, in Mississauga. I picked up 2 bags of sticky rice, 3 bags of Har Gow and 3 bags of Shu Mai, all FROZEN and steamed them at home. There wereapprox. 50 har gow and 50 Shu mai in each bag for $25.00 each and the sticky rice(med size was $10.00 per bag. Enough for many meals. Took out just what was needed for our supper and I called the restaurant to ask how long I had to steam them for and a lovely lady told me to bring the water to boiling and steam for 15 minutes. They were absolutely delicious and the Shu mai and Harl Gow were quite big. . If you can't dine in, this is the way to go.will definitely go back.

Angela L.

Yelp
Since the pandemic I have come to Jade Dim Sum a few times and each time has never disappointed. The dimsum is good and the prices are even better! There has never been a problem with ordering or the pick up process (food has never been late). Will definitely keep returning and recommend to others.

Maggie Y.

Yelp
Not too shabby! Have seen this place driving by on occasion as it's close to my work. The menu prices listed on here aren't up-to-date! I forgot to grab a menu for my quick takeout order! Wasn't feeling too well, nothing a bowl of Congee won't fix. Pretty decent! Ordered the Congee with pork and preserved eggs and rice noodle wrapped with fried dough, $2.85 each! The Congee was a tiny bit smaller than what I'm usually used to but for he price it's pretty decent! Looking forward to getting more takeouts in the future whenever I'm craving something outside of Sherway food court food!

Amy N.

Yelp
I drove by here for years but never had a chance to try this place until my brother suggested it and glad we tried. It has Good space, great fast service, and overall good foods at a cheap price. I love the chicken feet!

Kristian U.

Yelp
Yum Yum... I love Dim Sum. So I haven't written a review in a minute or two, mostly due to vacation but also because I hadn't had something really super that sparked that fire review passion inside of me - until yesterday. Feeling some early winter blues, I wanted Dum sum to fill my tummy and warm my heart in the process so I flipped open the Yelp app in search of one of the best feel-good meals I know - Dim Sum. Jade has an average rating but given that MOST dim sum places sku below 3 stars I took their solid 3 as a good sign. Coming from The Queensway north on Dixie it's tough to get into due to the median running along Dixie. Do yourself a favour and make your way here by travelling south on Dixie for an easy pull in and park. On that note, there isn't a tonne of parking but enough in the adjacent lots to accommodate a potential DS rush! Walking in, it's not a flash place by any stretch of the imagination, but it's clean, organised and has lots of seating. The best part (aside from the food) here is the menus - many times when I go for DS my complaint is without a Mandarin or Canto speaking friend, I'm basically playing Russian roulette with the menu (I can't read a thing!) At Jade, they provide you with the ordering sheet and then a 2 sided laminated menu with full pictures so you know (as a token white guy) exactly what to order! I went a little crazy with my order so I'll let my pictures speak for themselves, however, worth mentioning items were the Pork and Shrimp Sui Mai, Sesame Buns, BBQ Pork buns, and the Fried pork dumplings. The one item that was a real failure, in my opinion, was the BBQ pork cheung fun - the pastry/noodle portion was falling apart and kinda mushy and the pork inside was very dry. Aside from this one dish, everything else was pretty amazing! For the non-Canto/Mandarin speaking patrons, I was really pleasantly surprised with the level of customers service and English speaking staff working here. In other places it's not uncommon for customer service to be lacking at these spots and for English service to be rare - neither were an issue for me at Jade! Overall, a fantastic experience and delicious food - I can't wait to come back. Eatcrest Out PS - they have a deep freezer full of fresh made/frozen dim sum for you to buy and take home and reheat yourself!

Yelp
My girlfriend introduced me to this location since she was tired of waiting at Happy Dim Sum for a certain period. I was sketched out when she took me here because it's literally in the middle of nowhere on Queensway and Dixie. Parking is very limited and gets super busy around lunch period. The location is a lot bigger and holds a little more than Happy Dim Sum and the somewhat not by much, a little pricier, but still cheap. The service is quick if and when you're seated. Waiting could take a while depending on your group size and arrival time. The food is yummy but there are better elsewhere, more in Markham, my preferred dim sum place but it's a little out of the way. We got 10 dishes for just under $35 dollars. Itis hit us real quick once we left the restaurant.

Yelp
Average dim sum but one of the better ones in Mississauga. The har gow and siu mai were ok. They also had a shrimp version of siu mai in which I enjoyed. The ginger tripe was soft and flavorful. I would recommend trying the chicken/fungus and dried lily flower rice. The chicken was very juicy and the flavors mixed well with the fungus and lily flower. You can order it off the dim sum menu for $3.99. Just make sure to add the sauce that's left on each table, it'll taste even better! All and all this place was cheap and cheerful!

Yelp
My MIL heard about this place from one of her friends, so we decided to give it a try. The food was delicious! We absolutely enjoyed all the dim sum dishes! One thing that seemed off was the staff decided to mop the floor while there were people in the restaurant. The floor got slippery. I actually had to be super careful. Perhaps they should wait till the restaurant is empty or section off portions of the restaurant before mopping to avoid putting customers in danger.

Yelp
Not to be confused with Happy Jade on Dixie and Dundas (which also serves dim sum). This used to be located at Cawthra and Dundas in a decrepit plaza and had their sole focus on selling frozen dim sum. Their frozen dim sum was quite good and we used to buy it semi-frequently, however I always hated going there because it was kind of ghetto, both on the inside and outside. They've moved to Dixie and Queensway now and have cleaned it up a bit. They have some tables (and tablecloths on top of them!) so it's a bit of a dine-in area now. It's not fancy or anything, but it's clean. It's a la carte dim sum and it's not bad. It's 2.20 for almost every single dish with the exception or rice bowls and some specialty items. The rice bowls are 3.80 and other specialty items are 2.70. Not bad per dish. $2.20 is a steal for some dishes (cheung-fun/rice noodle rolls, which are always medium now and cost anywhere between $3-$3.80 depending on where you, har-gow and stuffed eggplant). A lot of their $2.20 dishes are medium somewhere else and costs at least a $1 more per dish. I've posted a pic of our order sheet so you can see the prices for yourself. Food order: har gow, siu main, BBQ pork bun, chicken feet with black bean sauce, bean curd roll with pork, shrimp cheung fun. Everything was decent, but I'd recommend the siu mai (which are huge and meaty) and the BBQ pork bun. While the pork bun had okay meat in it, the flavouring was delicious. 3/5 Service: It's an Asian restaurant and they realized we were customers. That would get them a 5/5 for an Asian restaurant, but in reality, 2.5/5. We got food quickly. Price: 4/5 - like I said above - cheap. It seems like a good place for a small family lunch. Tip: Try coming from the north or else you're going to have a make U-turn if you come from the south.

Yelp
Agree with other reviewers that this is no frills and as far as cleanliness it's standard (dishes mostly clean but sometimes you have to check). Lots of family on a Sunday morning so a good sign. Yes there are also a lot non Asian customers but honestly Canadian pallets are nowadays more advanced that most people could pick out good chinese food from the bad ones. There are no guarantees these days just because one does not mind driving all the way to the east end, so perfectly happy to have something decent closed to home and not burn a tank of gas and deal with parking lot nightmare in Scarborough. Like that all the standard dim sum dishes are available at good prices (2.20 for must dishes). Sunday morning the place is filled up by 11. Love the black sesame bun. But order them half way through your meal so they are still warm when you get to eat them. There's something homey about this place - not sure how to describe it. Took a chance trying this place and glad we did.

Yelp
Most random spot to open a dim sum restaurant. There's a lot of traffic congestion here due to construction so it can be a pain to get in and out of this restaurant. If you're looking for a nice dim sum experience this is not the place to go. This is just the place to get some good and cheap dim sum. The staff don't really talk to you so they're just there to give you your orders and give you the bill. Dim sum is pretty cheap here where each order is about $2.60. There are no carts being pushed around so you just order what you want on a sheet and the staff rings it in. They have a sheet with pictures on it to help you figure out what you're ordering. Their dim sum tastes pretty good! My favourites are the siu mai, shrimp rice roll, and the curry squid.

Yelp
This was my favorite and go-to dimsum place in Sauga. We'd go here like once a week. But the last two times had terrible service. One time, when we re-ordered, she wrote down the wrong order and literally argues with us when we said we didn't want it and it was HER mistake! Absolutely disrespectful! Then the next time we came in, we re-ordered a second order of dumplings. The waitress was sent to our table 3 times with the wrong order and was annoyed and apologetic because it wasn't really her fault. We waited about 45-55 minutes and the dumplings never came so we cancelled them. I did the math ahead of time (because I think they overcharged us last time we had to cancel an order) and what do you know...they STILL charged us for our cancelled order which we mentioned 3 times and they confirmed we were not charged for. You wanna lose your best customer? Well this is how.
