It's a very nice store and museum. There are lots of displays of jade artifacts. There is even a factory area where you can see them actually cutting the jade. It's very cool and the prices are good.

Lots of jade to choose from. Great service. You can visit the factory and there’s a small museum. Almost only options in silver. Almost no options in gold. And only 1-2 under $1k. Most gold choices cost a lot more than compared to market. Prices are in usd. You can pay in cash or with card. There’s an atm inside.

A stop at Jade Maya was part of our tour. Mary Lou gave an informative talk and we learned about the mining of jade, the colors of jade and how it can reflect the minerals around it. White jade is the purest; it looks like ivory. May Lou's passion is to share what she knows with the public, as well as working to restore to Guatemala pieces that were stolen during grave robberies. There is a working jade factory but we didn't spend much time there, as there was a language barrier. The gift shop is extensive and offers anything you would wish to purchase. Sales people speak very cultured English and are delighted to tell you about any piece you may show an interest in. US credit cards are accepted and I bought some earrings.

If your looking for Jade jewelry, this is the place. An archeologist discovered the source of all the Jade in ancient mesoamerica in the early 70's in Guatemala. All the Jade sold here comes from these sources. Black Jade, Green Jade, White Jade, Lillac Jade. Beautiful craftsmanship. This is the place!

AVOID TOURIST TRAP 🪤 I came here as I was told it was a good place to get real Jade so decided to give it a chance. Lady was really helpful in helping me pick out pieces as gifts initially I was really happy with my purchase but when I got back I realized I was only given the jade not the chain which was never communicated to me that it was not included and i would have preferred to have the chain I feel this is a horrible way to do business as it's not possible for me to return

This place is very informative. I enjoyed all of the jade and its varieties. Geology is my major so I thoroughly enjoyed the walk through. I can’t remember the lady’s name that gave us to much history but she has been in Antigua since the 70’s. You can see her in my photos. They have cutting machines there and sometimes you can see them at work. If you have money, buy some awesome jade pieces.

Went here as part of a tour to Antigua and it did not disappoint. There's a museum component so you can learn what makes Guatemalan jade unique which was really interesting. In addition, they have some really nice pieces of jewelry including bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and more. They make great unique souvenirs or gifts to loved ones as the jade here is a rarer variety and the craftsmanship of the jewelry is impeccable. p.s. the shop also has a very cute and fluffy Japanese Spitz, although it seems he is asleep most of the day.

Handed the cashier 8 items we wanted to purchase. He gave us a price of $1000 which we felt was reasonable. When we got back to the ship we found we only had 7 items. Returned to the shop and the cashier asked if we came back for the specific earrings. We said yes and he said that would be an additional $200. We feel we were knowingly mislead. Questionable retail practices, beware. Such a shame after we were initially very happy with our purchase. We did not buy the additional earrings and one of our gifts will have to be replaced.
