Stayed for 3 nights during our visit to Udaipur.|The hotel is located near the Lake Palace and right beside Lake Pichola in the Lal Ghat area. Please note that cars cannot reach the hotel entrance directly, so you may need to get dropped off earlier and take a tuk-tuk for the last stretch.|We had booked a suite and were allotted Room No. 306 on the second floor. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and offered an amazing lake view.|Since we knew the rooftop restaurant tends to get crowded, we requested the receptionist to reserve a table for us, which he assured he would. However, upon reaching the restaurant, there was still a waiting period. Suggestion: Hotel guests should be given priority over other visitors, with at least a few tables reserved for them.|Now for the not-so-good part: After a long wait, we finally got a table and scanned the menu, but no one came to take our order for quite some time. We noticed the staff seemed more attentive to European guests, possibly expecting higher tips. When a waiter eventually arrived, he took the order without basic courtesies like greeting or offering water.|The food, once served, was decent in taste—we particularly liked the chicken masala. Breakfast was served on the same floor as our room, which was convenient. Options included eggs to order, sandwiches, North Indian parathas, puris, juice, fresh fruits, and beans. While the spread was good, items were not refilled promptly, and many dishes ran out quickly, causing guests to wait.|The hotel also has a rooftop swimming pool (which we didn’t use) and a travel desk on the ground floor that helped us arrange cars for our onward travel.|Overall: The hotel is well-managed in terms of cleanliness and aesthetics. Rooms are spacious, restrooms have all necessary toiletries, and the décor is pleasing. However, the restaurant experience needs improvement—especially service quality and guest prioritization—considering the prices charged. Management should remind staff that “Atithi Devo Bhava” applies to all guests equally, not just a select few.|Loved the rooms and overall ambiance, but dining service could be much better.
