Carlos gave us the private tour at 2pm: and I can hands down tell you it was worth the extra money; your dollars support such a great organization. Carlos was so kind, informative, fun, and engaging: he really cared about this work and it shows. He answered every question we had. The JRC has a strict ‘no photos’ policy with people interacting with the animals; that is a clear sign of a place that the animals in rehab come 1st, and your tourism 2nd; that’s how it should be. We got to see each animal, know there story of how they came to be residing in the JRC, and why conservation work like this so often important for education tourism. I cannot recommend this enough; it was an excellent place to visit and learn.
