"Mexico is home to two fiercely opposing football clubs: Chivas (the country’s most popular team) and Atlas (which has only won a single league title, in 1951). The fan rivalry, which dividesGuadalajaraalong class and neighborhood lines, persists today—and, if you happen to be intown when the two teams face off, you’re all but guaranteed a lively match. Chivas plays in a shiny new stadium on the city’s outskirts, but games at Estadio Jalisco (Atlas’ home stadium, where Chivas used to play) offer a more fun, authentic experience."

An iconic sports venue its vibrant atmosphere make it a symbol of Mexican football culture. Visiting from Canada, had the opportunity to watch the home team Atlas play here. Although they lost, it was a thriller and a wonderful experience.

A must see experience if you want to watch classic Mexican soccer and visit one of the oldest stadiums with lots of history in Guadalajara. The street vendors and food make this place a good experience. Just make sure to be ready for lots of people, music, and a good time.

Enjoyable experience watching my first MX league game. Stadium is perhaps too big for Atlas, but still generated an atmosphere with less than 20000 spectators.

Sat in the VIP section and it really was that. They had nice cushioned, spacious seating and came and promptly took our drink orders.

Do not come here! I tried to take my family to a game and bought 4 VIP tickets and was charged over $4,000 pesos. Then they didn't allow us to go inside to watch the game. We tried going to the home game against Tijuana on October 26, 2024. They asked for identification and didnt accept US passports. When we asked for a refund they refused to give us one even after we waited for someone to help us after the game ended. I tried writing an email to the customer service contact and got no response. I do not recommend anyone come here and possibly get robbed like we did.

We went there to see Leones Negros, it was empty and easy to get a good seat, not five stars be Aude they didn't have cold beers,
