Our first time at this location. We loved our meal at the Beatty Street location and wanted to see if it’s as good here. Yes it was! There was a lineup to enter at opening but still lots of open tables at 8am on Saturday. Definitely recommended for an excellent breakfast.

Jam Cafe never disappoints! From the moment we walked in, the cozy vibe and upbeat energy made us feel right at home. The portions are huge, the flavors are rich, and every dish feels like a comforting hug on a plate. We had the banana and strawberry waffles—perfectly golden, drenched in syrup, topped with fresh fruit and a generous cloud of whipped cream. Absolutely indulgent and delicious! Also tried the savory brunch plate in the background: fluffy eggs, thick-cut bacon, crispy hash browns, and a warm biscuit. Everything was spot-on. Service was friendly and fast despite how busy it was. If you’re in the mood for a soul-satisfying brunch, Jam Cafe is the place to be. Come hungry—you’ll leave happy and full!

My all time favourite brunch spots! I always get the veggie bowl and the apple waffles. It’s so flavourful and filling. I love the atmosphere and service! There’s a reason why there is always a wait at this restaurant!

Google
Amazing Breakfast Spot! Visited Jam Cafe on a Saturday morning around 9:30 AM. There was a 30-minute wait, but it was absolutely worth it! We tried the veggie bowl, omelet, and a single pancake—each dish was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the portions were perfect. The pancake was fluffy and delicious, the omelet was packed with flavor, and the veggie bowl was a great healthy option. The service was friendly despite the busy atmosphere. Highly recommended for a fantastic breakfast experience!

Google
Fantastic brunch place that has a line for a reason. Whether you have the chance to visit the kits location or the one downtown, this place is a staple in the Vancouver experience. Drinks were fantastic and they have a rotating feature that is always unique and a crowd pleaser. People tend to find their favourites and stick with them and for good reason. The menu has good variety and caters to vegetarians and carnivores alike. The bowls are massive so expect leftovers and for the price point, getting two meals out of it is a good deal. I love that the drinks come in mason jars and the jam ice coffee is so sweet that it makes for the perfect drink on a hot day.

Lavender lemonade so yummy! Mocha with whipping cream on top just sooo good! 😊 I enjoyed the bar seats a lot since I can see all the drinks 🍹 making! So fun 🤩 Deep fried chicken is so juicy and tender, still lots of flavour and not dry at all! Egg Benedict are my favourite! Always go for the running eggs! French toast is alright! Ordered twice in the past 1 month but I would say it’s not super worth ordering it, lots of bread 🍞 & hmm just don’t like it so much! Milkshakes are creamy and yummy plus not too sweet!! Loving it! It’s absolutely a great place for brunch! But just annoying it’s always get a line up, sometimes 30 mins wait, sometimes 10 mins…

Google
Underwhelming food. Waffles were not crispy and after being drenched in syrup became soggy. Farmer's Benedict - hash brown and ham were so salty, smoked bacon and fried chicken would have tasted good if it wasn't so dry and hard. Luckily did not have to wait despite the line at 815am - sat at bar/counter table. For the mediocre food - it is not worth the wait and price. Sophie's Cosmic Cafe is better and no line. Only positive was the service was friendly and attentive.

Finally got to try Jam cafe and it did not disappoint!! Went at prime brunch time 11:30 on sunday and for 2 of us, we only waited around 15 minutes. A little pricey but the portions are big. If you have never been, definitely check out this brunch staple! I got the peach french toast and it was delicious.

Yelp
Great food and service! Very chill and casual atmosphere, good spot to catch up with friends. Long line up though, plan for it especially if you are a bigger group.

Yelp
Jamming out to Jam Cafe! Wonderful staff and absolutely love the Kitsilano location. It's incredibly cozy and feels even more so during Christmastime with the red tile. They even decorated the moose head hanging above the fireplace lol! Order: - Drumroaster bottomless brewed coffee - Hot Chocolate w/ whipped cream - Chicken & French Toast (signature dish) - Cinnamon Bun Pancakes - Brussel Sprouts, Horseradish, and Bacon Benny Special (BEST BENNY I'VE EVER HAD) - Fried Chicken & Gravy Breakfast Plate Notes: - The line was incredibly long, waited around an hour or so? With that being said, they did ask our preference if we want bar, table, first available, etc. They sat people until closing which I was not expecting so props to them for turning tables so quickly! - Pancakes were least favorite solely because they were pretty dense and didn't have enough sauce to make it palatable but flavor was good (perfect with a morning coffee) - Both the french toast and the gravy used a certain spice that I could not put a name too (potentially five spice or all spice?); wanted to flag since I wasn't a huge fan of that flavoring but 5/5 for presentation for the fresh toast

Yelp
After all the hype I've seen, along with the long queues everytime I passed by, I had higher expectations. While the wait in queue was reasonable, and service was good, I was rather disappointed with the fried chicken waffle. The chicken was on the dry side even after dipping in the gravy, to the point where small.pieces fall off when I cut it. The bite is on the chewy side. It was not crispy like a freshly fried chicken. The waffle was a bigger disappointment. At best, it was like waffles at a Best Western 3 star motel where you make it yourself. It was chewy and not very warm. The syrup had little taste as was.the gravy for the fried chicken. My partner's eggs Benny was good but still not outstanding.

Yelp
It has been a minute since I went to Jam Cafe. Went there on a rainy Saturday morning at 11:00am and stood in line for 1hr 20min... but it was all worth it! I had friends visiting from Toronto who wanted to try Vancouver brunch, so I had to take them to Jam! I wasn't in the mood to eat eggs so decided to go for their lunch menu, it was my first time trying their lunch items. I got their flying buffalo sandwich with tater tots. It was sooo good!!! The sandwich was covered in buffalo sauce which I LOVED, the chicken was so tender and juicy. The tots were crispy and fresh.. I was very happy to try this out. My friend got their later tater bowl which was really good too but towards the end the tater tots got a bit mushy. It was very hard for her to finish it because of their huge portions! The Gravy Hoops were also really nice, came with a mushroom sauce, eggs benny, and fried chicken. Lastly, we got their Cracker Jack brioche french toast for the table. It was EXACTLY what we needed to complete the meal!! The nutella in there was so decadent and went very well with the whipped cream. The bowl of fruits were perfect too because one of our friends was vegan. Got giving the full 5-star for this one because I thought their customer service had dropped a bit... it took them 30mins to take our order after we sat. Moreover, when the food came we had no cutlery or glasses of water. The staff weren't super friendly and seemed like they just wanted to get done with it. I know weekends are a busy day for Jam so I get it. Would I go back? 100%!

Yelp
Loved brunch at Jam Café, and the great food and service. The jam itself was delicious!

Yelp
We found street parking a couple doors down from Jam Cafe and it was free until 9AM. Coming that early was good as there was only a few tables or bar seats occupied. We got seated right after we walked in. Decor was rustic and cool. The menu was quite extensive. We heard the serving sizes were very generous so we ended up splitting some plates. The blueberry pancakes came as three gigantic circles and easily fed two. We wished they provided more of the blueberry compote and lemon curd to help moisten up the pancakes. The French toasts were very thick and quite filling. The side of bacon was a ripoff as we only got 2 slices for $9CAD. The bacon wasn't anything special. The old town breakfast came with scrambled eggs, chorizo, crispy hash browns and toast. A standard breakfast plate. Service was good overall.

Yelp
Came here for my buddies bachelor party so we had a party of 10 people. We had to split up into two groups in order to grab tables, but it worked out perfectly. We had to wait about 40 minutes, which wasn't too bad. Service was amazing and everyone was incredibly friendly. I ended up ordering the Fried Chicken Benny and it was amazing. The hash browns were so fluffy and flavorful my the hollandaise sauce was perfect and not too thick. It was a perfect balance of flavors. I also ordered the Retro Mimosa (double) and it was strong! All in all it was a great experience and would absolutely come back here. Also, they will happily split bills for a large group!

Yelp
I went to Jam Cafe on a weekend morning, and the line was already decently long. We waited for about an hour before getting seated, and I believe the food was worth the wait. The interior of the cafe was decorated with a Canadian theme. It was busy inside and definitely a popular place, but the service was still great. I love pork belly, so I ordered the pork belly benny with soft poached eggs and was very happy with it. The cuts of pork belly were nice and thick as mentioned on the menu, and the skin was so crunchy that it was a little difficult to cut with the knife. The hash browns were also crisp on the outside and softer on the inside, so I appreciated that balance. All the flavors in the sauces melded together nicely, and everything tasted great overall. I tried some bites of the later tater bowl with buttermilk fried chicken (at an extra cost since it's not one of the two protein options), and that was also delicious. I'm hoping to come back to try more things on the menu soon!

Yelp
It's no doubt one of the best canadian brunch places in vancouver. The vibe and the food of this place is incredible. To get in the cafe, you have to stand in long queue and depending on your party size, day, time, the wait can vary from 20 mins to 2 hours. But once you are inside, the service is super fast. I loved their lychee mimosa and lavender mimosa. Vegan bowl was super flavorful. Must try!

Yelp
The avocado eggs benny slays (as someone who hates hollandaise, I actually didn't mind it). They had the best orange slices I've ever eaten and the ambiance is so Canada and feels like an old cozy diner.

Yelp
First of all, this place has HUGE portions food. The only downside to this is that we can't order as many things to try out! All of the food we tried out were delicious, my favorite being the Charlie Bowl, which was recommended by our waitress. It is a unique twist of a breakfast bowl with crunchy texture from the crumbled biscuit and sweetness from the corn. I took leftovers home and it was still good after being reheated! Overall, I had a good experience, although I do wish they incorporate some sort of an online waiting list because the line can get pretty crazy and standing in line in the rain was not fun.

Yelp
Holy smokes! We stumbled upon this place not knowing it was one of the most poppin places in Vancouver! We got there around 8:30 and the line hadn't formed YET, but it started to around 9. The food was SO GOOD. And the portions were HUGE. I opted for the pulled pork pancake and it was the perfect blend of savory and sweet! I got the sour cream on the side and didn't end up using it as I didn't feel it needed it. Everyone else in my party also throughly enjoyed their food! The service was GREAT! We had a baby with us and asked if we could sit outside not realizing the outside seating wasn't open yet. But they didn't even bat an eye. They told us yes, and sat us down. I believe the manager was our waitress and she was SO NICE.

Yelp
Oh Jam, you never disappoint me! This was the last location my family hadn't eaten at so we decided to give it a try and once again, I'm happy to say the quality of the food and the service are just as good as their other locations! Mom got the herald street omelette but with egg whites and she absolutely loved it. I tried a few pieces and the eggs were airy and light and it was fantastic. Dad got his usual apple cinnamon French toast which is always a winner for him. So much food though and he only managed to eat a little more than half. I ate about 3/4 of a piece and man, it was SO GOOD. But also super sweet! I don't think I could eat that as just my meal! But the thick pieces of brioche with that strong cinnamon, the perfectly cooked warm apple slices drenched in maple syrup... Holy moly what a dish! I noticed they had a new menu item that sounded yummy so I gave that a try, the eggs in purgatory. I am so glad I did!! Firstly, they really stacked up that fresh arugula on top of the skillet that by the time I finished eating just that, it felt like I had a nice little salad! But the skillet itself was incredible. The chorizo meatballs were large and had a perfect amount of spicy flavor that made me constantly crave another bite without being overly hot or anything! The spicy tomato sauce, a few pieces of thick tomatoes, a few onion pieces, and the eggs over medium all blended so well together in this dish. After I ate one of the meatballs and one egg, I ended up cutting up the other two meatballs into small pieces and then just mixing everything together in the skillet. That ended up created a sort of spicy chorizo chili! Long story short it was phenomenal and I ate every last drop of it. And if you're a fan of chorizo, I'd highly recommend giving it a try! We arrived on a Thursday about 15 mins before they opened and only one person was in front of us. By 8am, I'd say about 10 people were in line so not too bad! Friendly service, clean restrooms, great experience. Jam is always a must stop for us when we travel up to Vancouver I will ALWAYS recommend it to anyone who goes up there!

Yelp
This place is always busy! The line is never short and people will stay even on the rainiest day! Again, it's small inside with not many seats. The menu is huge and there's a lot to choose from. The plates are full and it's hard to finish in my opinion. I wanted to try the pancakes and we split them thinking we could finish it all. Definitely not! Since it's so busy they're quick at getting your order and then your meal out and as soon as you're done they come with the bill. No reservations are taken so either come early or late to avoid long lines.

Yelp
Long overdue review of our favourite brunch spot in Vancouver. Yes, there's always a lineup but it's worth the wait. Healthy portions allow for leftovers for dinner! I always order the pork belly benedict - the bacon jam layer is everything along with the runny egg yolk and crispy pork belly skin. The tater tot bowl is extremely filling (with tender buffalo chicken to boot) and very delicious and satisfying. Who doesn't love tater tots? The cinnamon bun pancake is a must - we order one pancake on the side and it's just a perfect "dessert" to cap off our brunch.

Yelp
I love how you can modify their menu to suit your dietary needs. I needed a gluten and dairy free option, so they basically told me I could choose anything and they'll make sure it was GF and DF. We ended up getting waffle & chicken; and a GF & DF old townhouse brekky. My only critique would be for them to provide bread substitute, i.e gluten free options. I would've liked a piece of toast with my meal but they didn't have any GF bread. Otherwise, very good service, lovely waiters, and a warm, clean and cozy atmosphere. We arrived 5 minutes before 8am and were seated as soon as they opened. Shortly after, there was a line up!

Yelp
Great food. Staff was unbelievably rude I've never felt so uncomfortable ! Would not recommend and will never return.

Yelp
This cafe is probably the most famous brunch place in town, with the longest queue I've seen in Vancouver so far. It is thus with high expectation that I went here, only to left disappointed, felt like it was very overhyped while being very much quantity over quality. Subpar coffee and juice was also straight from a bottle and not fresh. Ambiance was also lacking, with cramped spaces and tiny tables. Service was pretty nice and attentive, which is the only plus I could find about this cafe. Cinnamon Pancake $19.5(5/10) Described to me as a must try, however it was very average. Pancakes were not light or fluffy, instead they were very dense like a cake. Everything was drenched in syrup and cinnamon drizzle which made them soggy and overwhelmingly sweet. Cherry & Ricotta French Toast ($20) 4/10 As a massive french toast fan, I was not impressed by how dry the brioche slices were. I also struggled to cut through the edges. It was almost like they just dipped both sides and immediately pan fried instead of properly soaking the bread. Cherry tasted straight from the can....

Yelp
This place was so delicious! There was a line out the door when we went, but it moved pretty quickly and the staff handed out menus and checked on us often, which was appreciated. I got the Green Eggs and Ham with avocado added. The eggs with pesto and spinach were so yummy, and the biscuit was perfectly cooked. My kids shared the cinnamon bun pancakes. Many thanks to the waitress on having them share, as the pancakes there are HUGE! They couldn't even finish them but they were so fluffy and the cinnamon swirl was delicious. I can see why this place was so busy and we will definitely go there again when visiting Vancouver.

Yelp
Great food! A lot of food for one person tbh. I had the Banoffee French Toast and the flavours were divine! The waiter always came back to check on me to see how I'm doing and I felt comfortable. The wait time was long but was worth it for such a western modern diner like experience and vibe in the restaurant. Will come back for sure!

Yelp
First time back at jam in a while! Just as great as I remembered it. The food portions always allow for leftovers so really it's a 2 in 1. The service was great even though the line was long as usual it went pretty fast. Was really busy inside but that's standard, we were sat at the bar but we weren't elbow to elbow with the group next to us. Still had a sense of privacy. Most importantly the prices are reasonable. So many places have put their prices up from what they used to from even just a year ago... so sometimes it's just not worth the price in comparison to the portion. Not Jam though! Will be back for sure.

Yelp
We were super hungry coming off a cruise and this was recommended by one of the guys at the car rental place. GREAT recommendation! I had the Pork Belly Benny and my daughter had the Salmon/Avocado Benny. It was delicious. Not a big fan of the hash browns though but no biggie. Will definitely come back again if we're ever in Vancouver.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a weekday and was able to get seated immediately. I got a mocha and an salmon eggs benedict. The mocha was good and it wasn't too sweet. The salmon eggs benedict was decent but I think I should have asked for the sauce on the side. I feel like there was a little too much sour cream and hollandaise sauce. The flavor of the benedict was good otherwise.

Yelp
Very busy, but it's also a Sunday morning, and this is a breakfast place. Service very friendly. Casual ambiance. Extremely loud - pegging over 88db. Nothing to absorb sound. Great selection of decadent breakfast choices. Of course, I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. A twist on the standard with crispy fried onions and bacon. Delicious. Huge. The boss had French toast. OMG. It's a loaf of bread. Huge. But not soggy, cooked right, with a maple-butter syrup. Also yummy. The place is always busy. With a line. You'll have to wait outside. Worth stopping by.

Yelp
Food is so great!!! Super soft French toast with slight crunches on the edge. Chick and well seasoned pork in the Benny Cozy environment! Warm and classic Canadian vibe

Yelp
I had a disappointing experience at Jam Cafe (W 4th Ave, Kitsilano location) recently. My teenage sister accidentally leaned over the restaurant's booth on the sidewalk when we were waiting for a table, causing it to slide. Instead of handling the situation kindly, one of the female servers with blond highlights raised her voice at my sister and had a harsh attitude, making us feel unwelcome. There was not a single "Do Not Lean" sign near/on the wooden booth, making it hard for us to know we shouldn't lean. This is frustrating especially when the slope in front the restaurant creates a literal sliding hazard. Overall, it seems that safety issues aren't communicated clearly and kindly. We didn't have a chance to grab the server's name, but hope management addresses these issues with better customer service training. The food was not good and worth the price.
google avatar

Erica K.

Yelp
A little overrated but worth the visit I guess. I went here based on a recommendation. The wait is very long but the staff is friendly. I got a lychee prosecco mimosa that was very refreshing however the food itself was just ok. It was one of the more expensive meals I had during my trip but also the most forgettable.
google avatar

Tracie E.

Yelp
Found this gem and they had a little wait by 10a. We sat at the bar and service was pleasant, food was delicious and atmosphere was social! You just can't go wrong at this place and the staff was ready to answer any questions, definitely plan on coming back!

Yelp
Summary: Dined in once in March 2024 (with my wife and child), on a Saturday afternoon. I think it's average considering the price and wait time, and might not visit again. I would prefer if the prices and serving sizes of dishes were halved. I found multiple mice droppings in their bathroom, and notified the staff. I hope there is no hygiene issue. Details: Food: 3 out 5 stars. Ordered the later tater bowl and Mexican street corn frittata. Overall, I thought the taste was average. In the later tater bowl - I liked the pulled pork , it was succulent and tender. I would have preferred less taters and more pulled pork. Drinks: 3 out of 5 stars. Ordered lavender latte, gin and jam cocktail. I thought the coffee was flat and could not taste or smell any lavender. I liked the gin and jam, I would liked if they gave some jam options, and some jam in a spoon in the drink (I found this in a cocktail bar Bittersweet in Raleigh, NC). Service: 4 out of 5 stars. I found the staff to be kind, friendly, and attentive. Wait time: We waited 40 mins in a queue on the street to be seated. I don't think it's worth it for me. Parking: busy area. Street parking and parking lots available. Fee in parking lots were 50% cheaper than street parking. Ambiance: I liked the decor. They have chairs, booths, and bar seating options. Website: 2 out of 5 stars. I wish their website and menu was easier to find and navigate.

Yelp
Friends decided to take us for brunch today to a new place we'd never tried! Yay! Love when that happens! We went to this amazing little Gem called Jam! The brunch selections are amazing, everything from the traditional to the fusion. Mexican, BBQ, Vegan, Keto and traditional....it's all here! I am currently not eating any carbs, so no potatoes, bread, buttermilk biscuits, cornbread.....why oh why would I do that to myself! So I ordered off the 'extras' menu. I had 2 eggs over easy, the homemade sausage patties with herbs and Buffalo cauliflower. Oh man, who knew that cauliflower could taste soooo good! I'm already wanting to go back, just for that! It was delicious and you know all the ingredients are made fresh. My husband ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benny. Everything was done to perfection, the eggs the hollandaise and smoked salmon. But the dish of the day was the Later Tater bowl. Crispy fried tater tots, poached eggs, pulled pork, corn salsa and melted cheese with chimichurro sauce! What?! Come on, say no more. Plus, this bowl is so big, it will feed you for two days! All in all, this place, is a definite new favorite and we will be coming back again and again to try all of the menu offers....watch our sweet offerings, we haven't got to you yet, but we will! The only con, it's so good, so it's always busy and you will have to line up, as no resos are taken.

Yelp
I visited Jam Cafe first in summer 2021 then November 2022. The picture is from the latter visit. My best friend who took me the first time loves it but it's nothing to special to me. We sat outside in the summer and the seating outside is enjoyable with umbrellas set up for shading. Even though it's on W 4th, I didn't find it to be too loud to be sitting outside. The inside is cosy with VERY Canadian decor. The service was good but purely because of how busy it gets due to the cafe's popularity, the food came out slowly and it was a bit difficult to get a hold of the waiters. I will say both times the food was yummy and the portions are huge -- items are a solid 8/10. If you don't have a huge appetite, you'd probably end up with leftovers even with the half portion. However, personally, Jam Cafe doesn't particularly stand out and it wouldn't be my first choice for brunch given the price and how busy it is. I still would recommend checking it out at least once nonetheless if you're in Vancouver just to know but save yourself the trouble and visit during the week. Just don't come on weekends for brunch since there will be a long wait!!
google avatar

Charli A.

Yelp
This place is absolutely divine! We pulled up here for breakfast and didn't have to wait long as we were okay with sitting at the bar. Everything we ordered was delicious! The service was great as well. There is street parking available in front of the restaurant. I recommend getting the r chicken French toast. You will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
A hot spot for brunch in Vancouver, went here the second time on a Tuesday so the line up was not bad at all. We waited around 15 mins for our table. Servers were super welcoming and I loved the vibe of this place. Ordered the Smoke Salmon Benny and the Later Tater bowl. Both came in big portion and they are definitely worth it. Five star experience, given the amazing service and delicious food. I would recommend to those who wants to try to go on a weekday so the wait will not be too bad.
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
Food and service here was great! But the wait was so long that I'm not sure if it's worth the wait. I think I'll go eat here if they allow waitlist/reservation or the line is short. The food was yummy but I don't think it was that amazing to justify the long wait. We went on a Sunday around 11am and we called to check the wait time and they said the wait would be maybe like 30-45 minutes but we ended up waiting for over an hour. If we knew it would be over an hour, we probably wouldn't have gone. We tried the pork belly Benedict and the chicken French toast! The French toast was delicious but the pork belly was just okay. Both dishes were a little on the heavy side. But I would go back to try other dishes when the wait is not too long.

Yelp
Delicious and adorable! Worth waiting outside in below-freezing weather! Prices were reasonable too

Yelp
A great twist on classic brunch items. Enormous food portions. Be prepared to take home some leftovers. Even on weekdays, expect to wait at least 30 minutes to get in. On the flip side, they provide umbrellas to those in queue if it's drizzling outside. The restaurant is cozy and rustic with very few tables set up, hence the constant line we all know outside Jam Cafe. Our order: - Cinnamon Pancakes - tasted exactly like a cinnamon bun except in pancakes! This dish is not for the weak, definitely need to have a sweet tooth to finish this one - it's the size of a cake! My only wish is that the cinnamon and icing flavour was on all the pancake layers. - The Gravy Coops - opted for the pork belly and pork sausage gravy. 10/10 most unique brunch dish we have ever experienced. The pork belly was prepared perfectly - crispy and tender. Our only critique is that there was not enough pork sausage gravy. - Mocha - holy whip cream. - Latte - appreciate that the espresso was more evident in the drink than foamed milk. I really needed that wake-me-up extra.

Yelp
Jam Cafe is one of those brunch places you'd want to go back again. Most of the food we ordered were pretty good! Especially the pancakes and the buffalo chicken The servers were really friendly as well, we had a really big party of 14 people and were seated within 30min wait. It's located in a nice area as well, so the atmosphere was nice and overall the dining experience is 4.5/5
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic food. Fresh takes on familiar brunch favorites. The eggs Benedict with side pork? Do it. Huge portions, delicious, fast. Downside is they're small so lines get LONG on the weekend, no reservations available. We had no wait at 9am on a Thursday. Would go out of my way to eat here again.

Yelp
Went to Jam Cafe because I heard really good reviews about it and would always see line ups. We were fortunate enough to get there at the right time and were seated right away before the rush came. Service was excellent and food was great. My partner and I always have troubles ordering when menus are big so we always ask for recommendations. The waiter recommended a few options to us and definitely did not disappoint. We ordered their bowls and my gosh were the portions huge! Normally I can finish the food I order, but I had leftovers this time. We were also seated by the fireplace and our waiter was very accommodating because my partner has sensitive skin and was feeling uncomfortable from the heat. The waiter turned it off for us which we were very appreciative of.

Yelp
This place always has a huge lineup. The don't take reservations so expect to be in line for more than an hour. Inside it's a cosy place, packed with customers. The staff are nice. For vegetarian options, if you do eggs, there are plenty of treats, but if you're like me and don't do eggs, you will be limited. I had the avo toast which was decent, but for a 90 minute wait, I expected much more. I don't understand why restos in Vancouver don't replace egg with tofu or more cheese without an extra cost. Breakfast, with coffee was about 30. Given the hype this place was more basic than expected, so I'd say that the only way I'm going back in during the week when they're not busy. I think making people wait 90 minutes for this level of food is not ok. Maybe if you eat meat it's better option, my friends were happy with their food.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! We waited in line for about 45 minutes but it was definitely worth the wait. Everyone was extremely friendly and it's a very cute spot. Definitely reccomended!

Yelp
Super yummy options!! We had their chicken & French toast, as well as the Gravy Coops. I was so stuffed after my biscuits and gravy! I chose the fried chicken for my dish and it was crispy and yummy. I was surprised at how much I loved their shredded hash browns too! So buttery. My fiancé's French toast chicken was super flavourful! Only thing is the wait. We went on a Friday that we took off (so it wasn't a public holiday or anything). We were 2 people so that usually makes things a little faster. It took us 30-45 mins to get seated and it was showering a bit as we waited. They did have employees come out and offer 2 umbrellas to all the waiting folks outside. My gripe with many brunch places in Vancouver is the wait time :( We ended up agreeing to sit at the bar.

Yelp
When I came in I noticed a bunch of delusions foods and I got the chicken benny and it had the perfect amount of sweet and bitter. The severs were very energetic and kind. The interior was creative and I liked the moose on the wall! Feedback: Try making the pancakes less sweeter.

Yelp
Long lines. Be mindful that you won't be immediately seated, but the food is worth the wait. Variety on the menu for lots of different options. And big portions. The staff was very nice as well. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday morning and waited over an hour in like for a table. The food was good, but honestly I don't think I would wait another hour for this again, esp in the cold. I had the Charlie bowl and it was unique and really filling. I also had the tiramisu pancakes and it was also really good. The portions were huge, we could have probably gotten away with order 3 things for a group of four girls. We ended up ordering 5 things and we had so much leftovers. We had their lychee mimosa and it was so freaking good. A great brunch experience in Vancouver but hesitant because of the wait.

Yelp
One line review: Good but worth it? Went here for breakfast with a friend. Per their reputation, there was a line up even before the restaurant opened, but we got in without much trouble. They did check our vaccination passports, which I appreciated as an immune suppressed person. We ordered: - Fried chicken eggs benedict - Huevos rancheros - Grapefruit juice Everything was well-executed, though I would have appreciated more a bit more salt. I put the housemade hot sauce on much of what was on my plate, and though it wasn't very hot, it helped. Value is the issue here. We're talking about a $50+ breakfast, and that just seems kind of steep. I do get that this is what one gets at a trendy breakfast spot, but wow.... Service was adequate but not memorable. Bottom line: On the whole, worth doing once and a pleasant experience. But at this price point, I was hoping for more. Might come back /once/ with my wife, just so she can say she's done it but wouldn't come here often.

Yelp
Jam Cafe is delicious. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant has a cozy feel. We went to Vancouver for two nights and at breakfast at Jam Cafe both mornings because it was fantastic. My husband got the fried chicken eggs Benny both mornings. I tried the avocado eggs Benny and the special eggs Benny that they were offering. Both were good, but the special with the pork belly was incredible. It was one of the tastiest things I've ever had. Coffee was decent and prices were good. Might need to make some excuse to go back to Vancouver just to eat here again!

Yelp
Do not let the line scare you. It moves Farley quick. They are super efficient inside. Everything on the menu looked great but I had to go with the French toast because... why not? And boy am I glad that I did. It was perfect. I also got a side of bacon which was thick cut and perfectly cooked. The maple syrup was a perfect addition. I wasn't able to finish It as It was a good size but I was in hotel so no way to heat It up. GO HERE!

Yelp
I feel I can't add anything more than the wonderful things that have already been written about Jam Cafe here and everywhere on the internet. But, allow me to try. We stood there in the Vancouver drizzle for over 20-30 mins in a queue and hosts were insistent that it was worth every minute of the wait. If you find yourself in a similar situation allow me to assure you that my hosts were correct. Suppress all urges to run away because through those glass doors awaits awesomeness. Our server was kind enough to politely tell us that we were ordering too much. Portion sizes are huge and the flavors are bigger. I, unfortunately, don't remember the names of all the dishes we ordered. I know we got the fried chicken and the waffle. Oh man, this is my favorite fried chicken place now. Some tater-tot bowl. Eating them was like eating candy that covers your entire palate with a savory delight. I think we also got the cinnamon pancakes. You can never go wrong with pancakes in brunch. But at Jams, you couldn't be more right ordering them for brunch. I need to be back, except next time I will carry an umbrella.
