Defiantly worth the stop. Great food, even for a very simple menu. Service was great as well, and they have good options for your heat level for your sandwich. And they don't skip portion sizes. Will definitely diner here again.

We recently visited JAM Hot Chicken in Winter Park, Florida, and it was a phenomenal experience! My wife, our two teenage boys, and I decided to try a variety of their offerings, and we were blown away by everything we ordered. The star of the show was undoubtedly their Signature Sandwich, the Sando. This sandwich is an absolute must-try for anyone visiting. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of heat. The flavor was out of this world! We also tried the Just the Breast sandwich, along with both hot and regular fries, and everything was cooked to perfection. The quality and attention to detail in every bite were evident. JAM Hot Chicken is a spot that we will definitely be returning to. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this incredible hot chicken experience!

This sandwich strutted out of the fryer like it owns the coop. The chicken? Juicier than gossip at a school reunion. The pickles added just enough tang to make me feel like a sophisticated foodie. The bun? Soft, sweet, and holding it all together better than I hold my emotions. Verdict: Would eat again even though I received my high cholesterol results last night.

Placed the order for the level 5, wasn't as hot as I thought it'd be but that's probably because I have a super high tolerance. Still a great sandwich for spice lovers and some of the best fried chicken I've ever had so a 10/10. Woman working the counter was very nice too, great service.

Google
Absolutely amazing! Definitely not a sandwich to eat in the car as it can get messy. Outside seating only. Crispy juicy chicken, homemade pickles with refreshing slaw is the perfect combo. The mild is spicy enough to let your nose run a little but not does not leave your mouth on fire.

Google
Chicken was really good, and I would happily pay for the chicken again. The small side of bland mac and cheese and the average at best pre frozen fries arent really worth the price at $5.00 a side. And its a bring you own drink for sure moving forward because they charge you $3.50 for a .25 cent bottle of water and get $3.50 for bottles of soda. I know the area is kinda pricey, but it really is excessive on the bottled drinks. I would think it would be more realistic to bundle a side and drink for $5.00 or $6.00 dollars or be more realistic on the prices if a bottle of water.

A little gem downtown Winter Park (right by Hannibal Square). Chicken is SO YUMMY and fresh. Choose you spice level (up to 5) disclaimer - 4 and up is not for the weak of heart 😀 their hot fries are awesome too! Fries basket is pretty big so can be easily shared by 2 maybe 3 people. A few tables outside, not tons of seating but we came after lunch rush and there was no issue.

Google
This place has delicious sandwiches. If you like giant crispy juicy chicken this place is for you. They also have different levels of heat so if you're a 🌶 lover than you'll appreciate the different spice levels (they have plain as well for those that prefer no spice). Their menu is pretty easy to navigate and not overwhelming, the seating is outside and they have umbrellas over picnic tables so plenty of shade. It's located in a cute area in downtown winter park, and is a really nice place to stop for some food. Definitely reccomend the Sando if you go, it's huge and filling.

Yelp
Best spicy chicken sandwich in Orlando! The pickles, slaw, and sauces are homemade ! They are always cooking up amazing collaborations with other local businesses. Recently they had a collab with a BBQ place that was super popular. Located in Hannibal Square the outdoor vibes are super cute and aesthetically pleasing. While I went in person on an event day and the line was LONG, they kept the orders coming out at a reasonable pace. I love that their NA drinks are mostly priced around $3 which I find very fair and reasonable. As someone who enjoys some spice, I usually order the Mild sauce and it's more than enough! They have a free water jug on the counter if that gives you an indication abt how hot their sauces can be. Prices are reasonable given the high quality of the food. I don't mind paying for food that's actually GOOD, it's when I'm paying $16 for a subpar chk sandwich then I get annoyed...no worries here though because the food is fire! Try the comeback sauce and house made ranch! So delicious!

Yelp
JAM Hot has got to be one of the BEST fried chicken in Orlando! We visited when they first opened and we're not disappointed. For food we just shared a fried chicken sandwich with medium spice, side of homemade pickles and crinkle fries. Their medium definitely pacts a kick! We visited again recently to try the collab with Mandalina. Okay this Mandalina sandwich was a little pricey, $18 but WOW it was so tasty! It's big enough to share, and very filling. The sandwich is topped with hot dip, shawarma seasoning, harissa spread, cucumber, tomato and mint salad. Also the sandwich comes with a massive size chicken cutlet! They changed their fries here since we last visited, they are now shoestring ones (which I prefer) but the crinkle ones kinda go with the fried chicken vibe. Love Jam Hot Chicken, it's a must if you're looking for some spicy chicken!!

Yelp
Very good, I had the mac and cheese with tenders. Highly recommend. And I had a shake, the cookies and cream shake was not very good.. There are tables outside you can sit and have food and beer.

Yelp
Jam Hot is a local hot chicken spot over in the Winter Park area. They focus on fast casual dining with some outdoor seating options available. Emphasis on the casual aspect, it's simply a window you go to order from and then pick up your food. I've been coming to Jam hot for a few years now and would consider myself a semi frequent visitor. It's got more of a vibe as a place you'd come with some friends and get something easy to eat while you catch up on old times. There aren't a whole lot places that are worthy of 5 stars in my opinion but if you ask me Jam Hot totally deserves it... They absolutely knock it out the park with their chicken sando and their fries as well. The chicken is crispy yet moist, the fresh slaw on top provides the perfect fresh balance, the sauce is the glue that puts the whole thing together. Whatever spice level you get it provides a great taste as well. Their fries are super crispy but have that fresh feel to it and not as if they're covered in oil. I know these are just fries but it can be easy to mess up fries. Jam hot is truly one of my favorite fast casual spots in Central FL. They have a very chill environment with great food and there's always some throwback hip hop playing which is always a plus to me. Customer service has always been top tier to me from my many visits. If I have family or friends come in from out of town Jam Hot is absolutely a spot I take them to.

Yelp
SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 5 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 5 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 5 This adorable corner stand is so simple, but they have such an amazing product. With only outdoor seating in a cozy corner, in winter springs, it's the perfect spot for an afternoon lunch. All the staff are super helpful and really seem to love working. The chicken sandwich is absolutely superb. The slaw is fresh, the chicken is juicy, and bun is toasted to perfection. No chicken sandwich is complete without good fries, and these are text book definition of perfect. I got mine with the spicy sauce, but be warned, they are super hot. To combat the heat I got a milkshake which was the perfect cherry on top. (They also serve beer)!!! Overall, this place is a must try if you love chicken sandwiches or even just chicken. I envy everyone who lives in winter spring, and has access to this gem at a walk/short drive notice.

Yelp
Awesome little spot especially with the nicer weather we were able to sit outside on the benches and eat. My daughter got the box which was a huge portion of essentially the Sando over fries. Was amazing. Great music playing friendly people behind the counter all round a great experience all round. We got the mild which lets you know it is there. My son got the hot and able to handle it but suggest you be careful. The mild was hot but flavorful not hot just to be hot. We stop here every time we come to Disney.

Yelp
I was looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch. This was close to my office, so I decided to get just the breast order to go. When I arrived around 11:30, I only saw one or two people waiting. It took a bit to get acknowledged, but when I did, I was told they will get back with me. SpongeBob narrator: 15 minutes later... I finally was able to give my order. I took the hot level just the breast item (14 dollars after a small tip) to eat in my office. Cue the SpongeBob narrator again: another 15 minutes later... My order was ready to pick up. It took 30 minutes just to order and receive my food! I would say it was worth the wait however. It was a tender and juicy breast of chicken with the right amount of crispy breading. It also had the right amount of heat...just enough to make me sweat a bit and use some napkins, but not too much to make me cry. The comeback sauce helped ease a bit of heat, and the coleslaw side was small, but enjoyable. There were crispy pickles on top and bread on the bottom. The staff was friendly and apologized for the wait. They told me they had another large order they were making, but I wished I knew it a bit earlier and was given an estimate of a wait time. I could have gone to my office and came back. I was outside for 30 minutes at the counter, but at least it had nice music and a fountain. The dining area is all outdoors and seating was limited. Best to take it home or to your office. All the utensils and napkins were provided as well. For a thirty minute wait and 14 dollars, I thought it was a bit expensive for a counter service restaurant. However, it does serve a nicely spiced and juicy chicken. It is about Dave's and Chicken Fire quality, but a bit more expensive. Since it caters mostly to office workers and togo orders, I guess they can make it a bit pricier. I would eat there again, but order in advance before picking it up.

Yelp
I totally misjudged their definition of hot. I opted to go with I like it hot, which is the third level and it was hot. It was hotter than I like. The sandwich still tasted great, and was huge. The coleslaw and the bun helped with the heat and the french fries also assisted. I was amazed at the size of the order of fries that came with it and then thankful for it once I was into the sandwich. Everything was very tasty and if I go back again, I will probably wimp out and go with something that's a one. I like my food hot and if you do too, I will caution you to still be careful with how high you go. You might want to start a little lower than you think and work your way up if you still want it hotter. I was in the area and I had a couple hours to kill and I drove around a little bit and then headed over to their location. I actually drove right past it on my first pass and had to come back around. It's actually not hard to find, but for some reason, I thought they were in a more open area. When you arrive, you just walk up to the center window and your order. They take your name and give you an idea of about how long it will take. Everything is clearly made fresh so my weight was about 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. They were out of milkshakes on the day. I was there so I got a Mexican Sprite. That also helped dull the heat a little bit. There are some picnic cables that you can sit at and eat there or you can take it to go. Service was fast and friendly. The gentleman who waited on me helped explain a couple of things to me as I had questions. This one was definitely worth the weight , and I look forward to having an opportunity to dying here again.

Yelp
Man! This place is tasty. Just beware: THEY MEAN HOT. I literally got a mix of mild with like a no-spice sauce and it was perfect. My husband got medium and I could tell he was struggling even though he loves hot stuff. Would definitely go again, especially if I'm nearby and have some time. The downside: It takes a while. Don't go here if you're in a hurry. We sat on a bench nearby and waited for our order. With no indoor seating, this is definitely a "weather-permitting" kind of place. There is also no dedicated parking, but there is usually street parking nearby, or there are parking lots about half a mile away.

Yelp
Ummmmmm, excuse me???? How dare this place be SO GOOD! I'd been eyeing this place on Instagram for a while and hadn't had a chance to make it but I finally have! It is not a restaurant - it's a little window hut in Hannibal square where you can walk up and order. There are a few picnic tables but they get very busy so it may be a hit or miss if you're trying to sit and eat there. My very first hot tip is to order ahead. The first time I went to this place we ordered at the counter and it was about 40 min wait for food. It was worth the wait though! I ordered #3 heat (Hot). For me, it was the perfect heat! My friend ordered no heat tenders and they were also delicious. We also ordered some milkshakes and they were okay, great to help with the heat but just like a regular milkshake. Be advised the second time I ate here, I ordered ahead and it worked out perfect. I also ordered a #3 (hot) again and it was a little spicier than when I ordered it the first time (still good though)! The sando sandwich is an excellent portion. The first time I ordered it I ended up eating half for lunch and the other half for dinner. The second time I ordered it I was so hungry and craving it that I ate it all, my mouth was on fire, and I loved every second of it! Okay now I want hot chicken! Dangit! ;)

Yelp
After living in the area for two years, I finally made it to JAM hot chicken! My boyfriend and I went on Sunday after church, just before noon, and there was no line. After ordering, we waited about 10 minutes for our food, so it was very fresh. He ordered the sando in mild and loved it. I ordered the tenders in hot and enjoyed as well. They were huge and so juicy. We split both the Vinny and duke slaws, as well as fries. Everything was delicious. My only regret is not trying the macaroni and cheese...next time! Love the vibe of this place. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
Jam Hot Chicken is a must try if you're in the mood for chicken sandwich. The chicken is fried to perfection really crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I personally go for their regular spice level which has a great taste but is not overwhelming. My husband tends to get the hotter spices which seem to be a little bit greasier which may have something to do with how they make it hot I'm not really sure. The portions are really good for the price. My lunch portion was so big I ended up skipping dinner. The fries also come in big portions enough for two maybe three people. (Depending on how much you eat) My youngest got the three-piece chicken tenders and she really enjoyed it. She's not the biggest fan of pickles but she actually really like these ones. My son got the weekend special which is chicken and a waffle. He said both were delicious. My husband really liked the hotter chicken sandwich. It was a spice level that he likes and ended up making him cry. I'm guessing they were happy tears from the deliciousness. Lol There was a little bit of a line on the Saturday that I went. However it moved quickly and the service was really nice. They made me aware before I place my order that there would be about a 20 minute wait. They have a few tables around, but they were all taken. So I grabbed the bench and waited till my food was ready. This location has a neighborhood kind of feel to it. Overall jam Hot Chicken is my favorite location for chicken sandwiches. If you're in the area I highly recommend you check them out.

Yelp
Best hot chicken sandwich. Their spice levels are insane I love it. This place is tucked away in Hannibal Square surrounded by pretty greenery. The parking situation's just parallel parking, but I don't typically have a hard time finding space to park unless it's a busy Saturday evening. It only has outdoor seating with a few benches under some shade. Their chicken is actually insanely good and has really good portions. I got the level 3 spice and really enjoyed it and just met the line between good spice and way too spicy, but then again, I have a high heat tolerance. Not only was the heat definitely there, but so was the flavor and moisture. I've had other hot chicken sandwiches in the area and I truly think Jam Hot still comes on top. They also have really good pickles to cut through the spice. I definitely will be going back and taking all my friends here whenever we get the itch for a hot chicken sandwich

Yelp
Totally lived up to the hype!! We were recommended here multiple times and finally made it. It did not disappoint! It was one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've ever had. It's a walk up order window, you'll likely wait 20-30+ min for your meal but the service is fresh. They have a small but delicious menu. We got the mild, hot and hotter chicken sandwich with hot honey. We also got the pimento cheese hot chicken sandwich and the regular and hot fries. The sandwiches are about $15 but huge! You get a good serving of chicken, so I think the price is reasonable. We did have to wait a while for a table to open up because there 4 picnic style tables, but once seated, we completely devoured our sandwich and fries. I think the "hot" level was perfect, not too hot or unbearable. The hotter definitely gave it that kick, but again, not unbearable or painful. The fries were also so yummy! 10/10 meal.. we literally went back the next day lol, so good!!

Yelp
It's been a year since I've been back! I had to hit it up again and it didn't disappoint. This review mirrors the one 12 months earlier with the following exceptions: 1. They have more customers! That's great for local eateries!! 2. The sweet tea is instant tea, people still sell that ???? Other than that, have at it!!! It's a really good sandwich!

Yelp
Dearest readers, If you were to ask around, you'd find that I am quite the connoisseur when it comes to chicken sandwiches. The search for the perfect one has been an adventure, and it seems I may have found my match. Picture this: a sandwich so mild yet bursting with flavor--it's twice the size of your average, and the taste is simply divine. The portion size took me back to Grandma's house, where she always ensured no one left hungry. Until next time.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Service was quick and good. The houses-made sauce was my favorite part! Fries were average. My husband and I had chicken strips, two different heat levels. Bread was crispy but chicken flavor overall was straight up oil. Couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. My husband said the same thing that something tastes off maybe the oil they were cooked in.

Yelp
As I said, when I checked in my fellow elite is what brought me here. The chicken just looked amazing so I had to try it for myself. I ordered the chicken sandwich and mild flavor the mac & cheese, and some fries. As a fellow chicken whisperer, I can tell you that that chicken was fried perfectly the crunch of the chicken, the tanginess of the pickles and slaw with the softness of the bun was perfection. The mac & cheese was your standard mac & cheese. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I would also like to say the chicken took a 1 Hour Dr. back home and it was still delicious once I got here. I bought an extra one to give to my boys for dinner and they said it was delicious as well. My youngest son said he wants to come back and try level four. Lol. Great service. The ambience was very low-key. Nice for an outside lunch on a good weather day.

Yelp
Jam Hot Chicken, you superstar you. *insert that one emoji that has the stars as eyes* I haven't left here once and been like "meh, it wasn't great." It's literally always good and always fresh. I enjoy the mild heat level, as this is the perfect amount of spice for me. Enough to make me sweat but not so much that I'm not enjoying myself. What makes it even better is every time I visit here the employees treat me like they missed me and was waiting on my return. Which is nice. lol. I will say, if you don't like sitting outside - make plans to eat it in the car or take it to go because there is only outdoor seating. Otherwise, enjoy!
google avatar

Kenny S.

Yelp
They be jamming!!!! From the bun to the breading to the seasoning, absolutely the kings of chicken in Winter Park!!!

Yelp
This is a great lunch spot. They warn you about their spice level when you order and you would be well advised to heed the warning. However, be advised that you will be eating this in your car or outdoors. There is plenty of street parking near the order window but you may have difficulty finding a place to sit on a busy afternoon. I went for a lunch outing and it was slightly pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries. The product was delicious. I got the mild and it was giving me a little sweat. I plan to eventually go back and get the hotter option. The service was fair given they cook each order at the time of order but I probably wouldn't want to go on a busy day. The location is a quiet place but probably not ideal for a large group given the outdoor seating and Florida weather. The portions also are pretty fair for the price given as you get enough fries to share and the chicken sandwich I received was massive.

robert s.

Yelp
Waited my whole 45 minuet lunch and didn't receive my food when I ask how much longer my food has been done just sitting getting cold and waisting my lunch time o didn't even have e time to eat cause I was already late waiting for food that was already done getting cold. I'll never be coming back got cold food and waited 30 minuets for a chicken sandwich.

Yelp
What's not to love about an unfussy hot chicken joint? It's nice having casual options like this in the area full of upscale sit-down dining. This a walk-up stand setup with a small, dedicated menu. The only big choice to make is how spicy you want it. I do like myself some spice and thought I would go for a 3, only to be rightfully educated that it's "habanero level"...and sheepishly backed down to a 2. But I'm glad I did as a level 2 let me actually be able to taste and enjoy the sandwich. I will not be comparing this to Chicken Fire as it has been criminally long since I've been there and thus don't really remember it enough. But what I can tell you is that the fact that I enjoyed my JAM Sando even in the blazing summer heat (thank you to the patio umbrellas doing the most) says a lot. It was a hefty portion even without any sides. I only wish they were open later in the day but alas, I'm sure it mean the employees have better work/life balance.
google avatar

Daryl W.

Yelp
Choose the mild if you want to enjoy your meal. If you love heat go with hot. Everything is amazing. Also ask for all the sauces! You'll thank me later.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best chicken sandwiches in South Florida! Stopped by on a drive up from Miami. Huge portion of well fried chicken. The box we got was also surprisingly huge. Was more than enough food for 2 people. Medium heat was perfect for me. It's a cool vibe, the place is takeout only but there are tables outside.
google avatar

Yelp
Holy smokes! I'm in love with this place. The chicken was so juicy and spicy. I got the Sando with the fillings on the side, which I definitely enjoyed more than I would if I put it all in there because I could taste the flavors better this way. The bread was delicious, the homemade ranch and comeback sauce were so creamy and amazing. Everything was perfect. I don't normally like coleslaw but there's is vinegar based and not mayo based and I'm so happy for that. I love spicy food. I got the hot and there were still 2 steps up beyond hot, yet I was actually breaking a sweat when I ate it lol. I overheard that one of the next steps up has ghost peppers and cayenne peppers in it. I bet that's pretty wild. I'd try a bite of someone else's, but I think I'll stick with the hot when I next go back. My mouth is watering just looking at these pics and I already want it again.

Yelp
Toooo good! It was our first time here but it didn't disappoint! Im a wuss and can't handle the heat but my husband loves hot chicken and it was great for both of us and my kids. I did in between plain and mild and it still had a kick! My kids just did plain and my husband did hot! We loved the fry box, homemade pickles, homemade slaw, fried chicken and fried with their sauce 10/10!! It's a walk up window with outside seating but they do have bathrooms! Parking is on the street, so keep that in mind!

Yelp
We randomly saw this place after a enjoyable relaxing visit to CFS for Columbian coffee and air conditioning. Who are we to pass up trying some hot chicken!? The staff are friendly and the place is popular. Everyone there seemed to be an expert regular except me but I like to try things. My wonderful wife got the hottest jam hot chicken they serve. The nice lady taking our order double checked and offered a side of milk! I got the opposite of course. We tried both slaws and a mac and cheese as well. Everything was prepared to order so we waited like ten minutes which is totally fine. Our food was fantastic. I don't particularly crave chicken tenders but these were fresh, crunchy and very tender. Clearly not the same preparation as other varieties. Both slaws were also good and the mac and cheese was fine for a restaurant variety. We all know the best mac and cheese is made at home with multiple kinds of cheese, proper buttery béchamel sauce, spice and your own customized recipe! Life is good when you try Jam Hot Chicken!

Yelp
Came on a Sunday and had the brunch chicken and waffles (pumpkin waffles this time of year). Waffles were amazing! Chicken was solid! Had the level 3 which was quite hot for me but not a really flavorful spicy hot. Fries were good too. Packaging is great if you plan to eat at home but difficult if you are planning to eat on site. Fries came in a bag and the box the chicken and waffles came in was a little difficult to eat from. But seriously a really solid chicken sandwich!

Yelp
It seems every time I go out to lunch these days, there inevitably is a chicken sandwich offered in every fast food, fast casual or sit down restaurant's menu. And if memory serves me correct, I've probably tried every one of them...that is until a few days ago when I stopped by JAM Hot Chicken. I can now say I think I found the overall best tasting and flavorful chicken sandwich in the Orlando area. JAM Hot Chicken offers Nashville hot chicken in five varying levels of heat. From Level One "Plain" all the way to Level Five "JAM", I readily told the friendly cashier, Vanessa, I could not tolerate heat in any fashion. She advised even their "Mild" level would not be something I could handle and knowing my palate's inability to handle spicy foods I readily accepted her recommendation and ordered a "Plain" Sando with a side of Fries. Since the food items are cooked to order be prepared to wait from 10-15 minutes to receive your food. In this case, patience is truly a virtue which pays off in the end. The sandwich is comprised of an enormous chicken breast topped with house-made crinkle cut pickles and mayo-less coleslaw all encased in an incredibly delicious brioche bun. Adding to the flavor profile, the sandwich also includes a comeback sauce which perfectly balances the other ingredients. Not to be outdone, the seasoned fries were fluffy in the inside and had a perfect crunch on the outside. I truly enjoyed my leisurely weekday meal dining alfresco on a cool, sunny day in the Hannibal Square area of Winter Park. In the end, this restaurant lives up to the many accolades it has received and I thoroughly agree you should have this spot on your to do list...in other words, JAM on it!

Yelp
I enjoyed the food here. I love the fries. I had the spicy chicken sandwich. Everything seems extremely fresh. I want to try more things on the menu.

Yelp
Very nice place to eat outdoors (don't know how they do it on rainy days, though...). I love fries tenders. Like, really love it. And theses ones were the crispiest I've ever had. Delicious. If it wasn't for being so hot (even having ordered it Mild and seeing the Mild sticker on the box), I'd give it 5 stars. But we asked the server if it was spicy and she said "it has a little kick". I'm really used to spicy food, so I can tell: this ain't a little kick, my friend, this is a good level 3-4. I'll be back, for sure, because it's a damn good chicken. But next time I'll order it Plain.

Yelp
As I stood outside at the order window, she told me that my nose would run and my eyes would likely water as my mouth burned. Was I signing up as a guinea pig for a scientific experiment or trying to order a sandwich? I lost track. Anyway, she was not entirely wrong. She asked if I was sure I wanted the "Hot" level 3 and recommended that I start with Mild (level 2). I appreciated her concern, and I said I have had the Medium and Hot at Chicken Fire and she changed her recommendation and she thought I could handle the heat of #3! I never felt so manly! I got my food about 20 minutes after I arrived and maybe 5-8 minutes after I ordered, which was better than I expected. I just got a sandwich and that breast was huge! Dolly Parton must have a chicken farm where they get these things. Everyone's heat tolerance is different, so I can't make a recommendation. I was able to eat L3 with no beverages, which is what I like. Your Milage May Very depending on what your mouth can handle. But the combination of slaw and pickles helped a lot in tackling the spicy sandwich. I will say it's one heck of a delicious sandwich and I recommend going, even if you don't like any heat (Just get the no-heat level). I can't help compare to Chicken Fire on 50 which I love. The flavor profile is a little different, but the key is they BOTH have flavor, not just heat. If I try to pick a favorite, I just can't so they're currently tied for #1 for the best hot chicken in Orlando. Chicken Fire DOES have a much more engaging front of the house with Jorge! The good think is I don't have to choose, I can go to both. Maybe I'll try both on the same day, sometime. Hot Chicken Run! Who's with me? I will definitely be back, but it won't be when it's like 90+ degrees out for sure. I hope they do something and open a 2nd location with indoor seating. If someone asks where to get a great chicken sandwich, your answer should be "Def JAM". Let's pay homage to the label which housed Slayer's Iconic "Reign in Blood" which many consider to be the best metal album of all time... It's also responsible for Montell Jordan's "This is How We Do It" and lots of stuff in between. It's fate that I first tried JAM Hot Chicken on the day 60 Minutes debuted their interview with Def JAM's founder, Rick Rubin, which I happened to be watching while I write this review. You Gotta Fight, for your Right... to eat Hot Chicken! Yea, Beastie Boys were on Def Jam too. Or maybe I should have went with Pearl Jam (Glorified Version of a Hot Chick-un)... Dang It! Or Space Jam? With Foghorn Leghorn and Larry Bird... Crap! Lol... Bird Crap!

Yelp
Finally tried JAM in Winter Park this weekend as I've been on a hot chicken kick. It was well-beyond the hype! I had a Hot Sando as it comes. The thing was HUGE. Juicy, crispy & addicting. Even though the square was packed and the line was long, the food came out quickly. I will be back!

Yelp
Hot chicken is where the fire is!! If you want to test your toughness then make your way to Jam Hot Chicken!! Mild was good enough for us! Menu is easy, quick and a great meal! Homemade pickles and coleslaw are the bomb and the fries were nice and crispy! Check them out.

Yelp
Great chicken place. Very messy and very good. I would say it's a little slow but I know it takes time to do fried chicken right.

Yelp
I was hungry and hyped by the previous reviews to try this spot out. It's outside and makes for a nice lil outing but admittedly for me that's about it. Not saying it's bad at all, it's just missing a flavor factor that I typically seek I guess. I got the mild version so I was hoping for a lil ting of something. So if your going for more taste I would say don't get mild. The menu is pretty limited/basic too. My chicken sandwich with fries was 20bucks alone so the high prices for the type of fast meal didn't do it for me either.

Yelp
My favorite hot chicken!! Oh my goodness they do it right... I've been going to the JAM window in Hannibal Square since they opened and it has proven consistent, equally delicious every time. The employees are some of the best in Orlando, their to-go operates quickly, and the quality of food is insane! My order: The Sando - Franko Style Mac & Cheese I also love their 3 piece tenders! Be sure to try their homemade ranch... Sooo good! If you're used to buffalo or just new to HOT chicken, please know the two are not the same. Mild is extremely spicy. Franko is between plain and mild so I either get that or mild - an adventure for your tastebuds! There are a few picnic tables, but it can get full quickly on busy days, so plan to pick it up or take it on a picnic.

Yelp
Such a fun little spot. Be prepared to eat outside or take it to go! Service was great. Sandwiches are Hot but so good. (They have options for less hot as well)

Yelp
I LOVE a good Hot Chicken. We always stop by Hattie B's when in Tennessee. So, both my husband and I were excited when we were finally able to try JAMs. We met here for lunch on his birthday which was a week day. Street parking is available. Orders are placed from a small window and there is shaded picnic seating out front. There was a little wait as it was prime time for lunch, but not too bad. Food - A+. We both LOVED our sandwiches. Definitely experienced a little heat. We also ordered a side of Mac N Cheese which was also quite tasty. I hope this place stays awhile because there has been a few different establishments in this location. I definitely want to go back and go hotter!

Yelp
I had heard about this spot for sometime and was excited to try it! First of all, it's located in Hannibal Square. It is basically a to-go window that you order at. There is NO indoor dining or seating. There are a few picnic tables with umbrellas close by that you can eat at. We tried The Sando ($14), Just the Bun ($13) and their fries ($4). One side of fries can probably be shared with 2 people. The MILD flavor is equal to what most people would call HOT. My nose was running a little after eating and I love spicy. It was really good. The chicken had a great crust on it and the chicken was moist and cooked perfectly! Their hot is considered habanero hot. So beware if you are weak to spicy things. There is an option to get it plain where you can add some hot honey or comeback sauce to add some heat. They also have homemade ranch for $0.75 which is delicious too! The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is amazing! You should definitely check this place out!

Yelp
Hot! Lol that's all my mouth said immediately. Followed up by flavors It's a beautiful day, so sitting outside and eating this was perfect. They quoted 25 min but it came much faster. Hot and fresh and flavorful I got the Franco, it's not on the menu, it's 1 notch below mild and it was still spicy, lol. The slaw was ok, I love the crunch but the flavor wasn't as good as chicken fire there is a sauce on the sandwich that is really yummy. Pro Tip - get a side of honey and sprinkle it on your bites. I liken this to chicken fire. While I think this place is hotter, chicken fire is more flavorful.

Yelp
I've been a few times. The wait is a little long but that seems because they cool your fries and chicken to order, which means its piping hot and fresh. The spice levels are no joke, even the lowest before no heat has some heat to it and I think I have a decent spice tolerance. i could take our leave the bread but the fries are decent and the sauce is A plus. I would buy that sauce by itself. I can't say its better than some of the other similar places in Orlando but its on par and the area/picnic tables are super nice when its not 95 degrees out. Also like that they offer milkshakes. Perfect pairing with your spicy chicken. I recall service being patient and helpful.

Yelp
"Best Fried Chicken Sandwich I've ever had," said my wife. Wait what. Stop the presses! That's what she said and she's been eating chicken sandwiches for 36 years all over America and the world.

Yelp
I love me some hot chicken! Had to check out this place and it did not disappoint. You order at the window and they will call your name once your order is ready. I order the sando chicken sandwhich with mild seasoning. The mild did have a nice kick to it and I was able to enjoy the sandwich without having to worry about the spicyness. The house made pickle had a great crunch and the slaw was prefect and wasn't too over powering. The chicken was crispy and juicy! Great sandwich. I wanted to order their Mac and cheese, but unfortunately they were out apparently and I came by around 11:15am. Their fries were nicely salted and decent. I did order their sweet tea and it wasn't good. I tasted a bad werid after taste to it. Wasn't a fan. Limited Outside picnic table seating. Restroom at the side of the building.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Jam for a while, but for some reason I always get a craving on Monday's and Tuesday's when they're closed, go figure! Shout out to Super Elite Lana for introducing me to the Franco style which is not listed on their menu. I'm usually a medium girl (which they don't offer), but I'm glad I got Franco style which is slightly above plain but also slightly below mild. The person I was with got mild. He enjoys spicy food so for him to say it tasted more like hot, and that I made the right decision getting Franco for myself due to my enjoyable spice level was surprising. He also ordered a side of the macaroni and cheese which was good. It wasn't my favorite but he enjoyed it. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. It was a HUGE, tender, and juicy. This is one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in the Orlando area. Next time I'll ask for more of their comeback sauce but I'm a saucy girl so that's completely up to you. I also got a side of their homemade dill pickles which were amazing. Their buttermilk ranch was great it just comes in a really small container which wasn't completely full, so I would've liked a little bit more. I read a lot of reviews on how the fries aren't that great. Maybe I got fresh fries because they were absolutely delicious. They were super crispy and I didn't even use ketchup, which is not the norm for me. I wish they had an option to sit inside due to the unbearable Florida heat, but it's no biggie. The only negative is the parking situation, but it is Winter Park so it's no surprise. Thankfully I didn't drive so I didn't have to parallel park, but I'm proud to say I am getting better at, lol. The staff was super friendly. I'm actually craving one right now, lol. RUN, don't walk here because you're definitely missing out!

Yelp
I ordered the chicken sandwich from the app and picked my order to go and brought it home to eat. Ordering through the app was easy and customer service was good when I picked up the order. I figured it wouldn't be as crispy from me ordering this way, but I didn't mind. When I got home, the chicken patty was still crispy on the outside and the slaw and sauce and bun with the chicken sandwich was ok. What caught me by surprise was how bitter the outside of the chicken was. I'm not sure what caused the bitterness but it was inedible.

Yelp
I love this place! Review to follow! Love finding eating spots with the fam! Addendum: I used to be pretty good at eating spicy food back in my younger days. Loved it. I don't do that as much anymore but I do crave it once in awhile. And it's a good thing my wife had this place on her radar. Jam Hot Chicken has some really good flavors coming out of this place. The chicken sandwiches here are exceptionally good. My wife and I both got the Mild Sando. DON'T let this name fool you. Their mild chicken sandwich still has a bite to it that warms over time, but the flavor is still delicious! Luckily, there was some chocolate Yoo-Hoo to the rescue. My kids and I took the last three. Lol Flavorful (and spicy) fried chicken breast sandwiches are a must here. Try some!
