I came across this restaurant through several posts and online recommendations, and I’m so glad I managed to get a reservation! It was an outstanding experience. We ordered the restaurant’s set meal, and every dish was cooked to absolute perfection — each one was delicious, and the meat was unbelievably tender, melting in the mouth. We especially loved the steak, which was prepared with incredible skill. Honestly, it’s the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. A restaurant truly worthy of its reputation — highly recommended! In addition, the staff and servers were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed and not overly formal.

Excellent. Affordable and extremely tasty Yakiniku. It's a small shop and reservation is needed but by golly it's good. The meat is super well prepared and the staff is friendly and sure to give you recommendations and instructions without trying to sell you more than you need. Probably my best Wagyu meat experience in Japan so far!

Very unassuming atmosphere. Food was excellent beyond any yakiniku I have eaten in Japan so far. The odd thing was there was a tv right above our heads and was a bit disruptive.

Food are delicious. Staff are nice and helpful. They will help and teach you how to cook. Both expensive beef slice and standard slices have their own character. All are very tasty.

Absolutely perfect. Reservation through Tablecheck is quick and easy. Directly reserved their set dinner. Tableside services offered and the beef especially the sukiyaki one is delicious as hell. Strongly recommend. The restaurant is also well known for its rating in Tabelog.

Google
An unforgettable meal and hands down the best yakiniku we've ever had. Everything was sublime, but the Noharayaki and the beef rice were on another level. The service was just as flawless as the food—attentive and incredibly professional. Just make sure you plan ahead! We had to book two months in advance, and it was worth every bit of the effort and wait.

The absolute best food I had from our trip. Every round was fantastic but the steak was out of this world. It was definitely the best steak I've ever had. Highly recommend and would come back for sure.

We have full course here. It contains 13 dishes which are great every bite we have. You can’t miss this place even it’s quite difficult to book. Beef tongue here is quite thick. Steak is juicy and tastes delicious. It’s quite hard for us to pick the most favorite dish but we ordered Noharayaki additionally. It’s sukiyaki style beef. Definitely come back if we can reserve again.

Yelp
If you're looking for a yakiniku spot to splurge on, this is a great spot to start. We were able to book their private room with the omakase course. There was a dedicated person cooking our food so we didn't have to worry about overcooking the meat. They're also quite generous with the chateaubriand where you get more than one piece. It was our first time eating it by itself as oppose to a sandwich and it was quite fatty. Our server was very nice and tried to joke around even though his English was limited. Every time I visit Japan now, I always make an effort to try a new yakiniku spot. So far I've had 2 other great spots and unfortunately this one wasn't as comparable to them. So if you're going on a yakiniku journey like me, start here and work your way to other splurge worthy spots.

Yelp
There are 2 locations across the street from each other! Hongo is a larger restaurant and Hanare is a more intimate setting at the bar. We opted to order a la carte instead of a prix menu since we didn't think we needed any of the small fillers. We may have regretted that in the end since the couple next to us had bomb looking food. Everything was delicious regardless ! Some cuts they grill for you and some you need to grill yourself. Sukiyaki was our favorite!! Would pass on the cold noodles next time and order more meat! Don't hesitate to make a reservation !! We were wobbling home!

Yelp
Delicious! But I had heartburn next two days. Taste: Great! I like their simple Kimchi. the brown namuru was too sweet. Tongue, steak, liver, etc... were so fresh. Roast beef and beef sushi were sweet and tender. Korean cold noodle was simply good. Soup had great broth. Price: Pricier. At least JPY5000(USD50) per person for dinner. Customer service: Not friendly but fast. Parking: None. You can find coin parkings. Location: Close to Tokyo University and a metro station. Tip: RSVP ASAP!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing A5 Kuroge Wagyu Yakiniku experience in Tokyo! The famous Noharayaki was delicious as expected, being a thin slice of A5 sirloin with a soy-based sauce. The grilled meat had different dimensions of salty and fat, surrounded by raw egg. The chateaubriand was worth mentioning - grilled by staff to a medium rare and cut into pieces right in front of you. They offer three special sauces as dip. The absolute best part of the meal was the wagyu curry - mild, aromatic spices, non-acidic, and wagyu beef! Highly recommended. Reservations are needed to Hanare. Since it is a la carte and options like gyudon, curry rice, and ramen are available, I would say it is quite affordable for A5 wagyu. Great experience.

Yelp
I have a mix feeling after coming here. Saw many amazing Instagram videos and posts about how great this place is so I had to check it out. You definitely need to make reservation. I did it through my hotel concierge service. Food was great. Beef sushi was not that tasty in my opinion. It's a little bland. My favorite was Nohara Yaki it's like sukiyaki style BBQ. Beef tongue was also good. However, I think it's a little pricy. We left without feeling full and had to pay over $100. But I guess you're paying for the quality. Service was not that great. I would come back if I have a bigger group of people.
