An excellent foray into a tunnel of lava rock. Went on a Tuesday and busy, a popular tourist sttraction A short wait to get in, so buy tickets online. Wear sensible shoes as steps and path are uneven. This attraction is definitely inaccessible for wheelchair users or anybody who has mobility/walking problems. I have to use a stick at the moment and found the descent to the pool difficult but manageable. Well worth the time and effort.

Jameos del Agua is such a beautiful place and our time spent here was in awe of the architecture and the natural beauty too.. We enjoyed this as part of a bigger tour so we only spent maybe an hour in total here but you could easily have spent longer admiring the place. There are small albino crabs which only live in this rock pool that almost glow in the dark against the volcanic rock they live on.

I wish I could live here! It’s absolute paradise! The whole experience was incredible- we paid extra to do the museum upstairs and we all really enjoyed it! Informative and interactive! Standing in front of the lagoon where the crabs love was kinda mind blowing for me because they only exist here and no where else has them. They are small though, a lot smaller than I was expecting. Staff are friendly and cafe serves good coffee and it’s overly expensive!

This place is a perfect blend of tranquility and wonder. The outdoor pool area feels like stepping into an oasis, with its pristine blue waters and lush surroundings. The cave with its mesmerizing water reflection transports you to another world. The open-air space is rejuvenating with nice restaurants.

Jameos del Agua is absolutely beautiful. Seeing the rare albino crabs was such a special experience—these crabs only exist here, and not many people can say they’ve seen them. It felt like such a privilege to witness something so unique. Unfortunately, the visit was overshadowed by an English family that couldn’t respect the place or its fragile environment. The father and child were touching the crabs, even killing some, and splashing water on their family—and on me, too. It was upsetting, especially because I couldn’t say anything as I don’t speak Spanish. I really think there should be security or barriers in areas where people can touch the water or crabs. Even small actions, like touching the water, can harm the ecosystem, and what I saw made it clear that these creatures are not as protected as they should be. This place is magical and deserves to be treated with care and respect. I hope steps are taken to ensure the crabs and their habitat are preserved for others to experience in the future.

One of the tourist attractions that is probably visited by most. We bought some combo ticket, which I think we mistook for access to the tourist attraction across the road, so worth checking on that. The pictures of the water in the cave are really difficult to capture, so it's tough explaining the wonderful architecture and beauty of it. Then the next pool is just joyous and picture perfect. It does get busy and hot!

Fantastic cave with stunning views and good ambience. Would be amazing to see a band live or go to an event in there. Only marked down due to very slow service despite only a handful of people at the counter. Particularly given the fact that most of the tours that come through only get about 45 mins to an hour to view the cave and get a drink / snack. Most of the time would be spent in the queue.

A visual wonder. Jameos de Agua is deceptive. The wait outside on the line does not prepare you for the beauty inside. Magnificently architected space - perfect for large gatherings. We ate at the restaurant, toured the blind crab cave, theatre, and museum. Even the restrooms were beautiful.
