Google
Even though we were not able to secure the most comprehensive tour we were still pretty pleased with what we saw. We had a bus pick us up from the store and drive us to one of the warehouses on the campus. The lady guiding us was so knowledgeable about the brand as well as the entire operation. We were in the actual warehouse and witnessed thousands of barrels stacked up on wooden scaffolding. The overwhelming smell of bourbon maturing in those barrels was unbelievable. And it was hot that day. We got to open one of the barrels and tasted the bourbon right out of it on the spot. What a great treat. When we got back to the store, we walked around the campus a bit, saw the Beam family original house. The Jim Beam store was a pretty cool place to visit. Lots of history and exhibits, plus the display of the bottles and the merchandise. I highly recommend going there for, at least, a half day to get the full experience, dine at the restaurant etc.

Google
A Must-Do Tour! In-Depth History, Behind-the-Scenes Views, and a Great Guide. The main distillery tour at Jim Beam is fantastic and an essential stop on any trip to the Bourbon Trail. It's a nice, big tour that covers a ton of ground, offering a genuine behind-the-scenes look at the entire bourbon-making process, from the grain to the barrel and bottling. They do a great job of mixing up the tastings, so you get to sample different spirits throughout various stages of the tour, rather than just all at the end. The history shared is fascinating, giving you a deep appreciation for the Jim Beam legacy. A cool bonus is that your tour ticket includes a complimentary tasting glass to take home! Our guide was great—knowledgeable, energetic, and engaging throughout the entire experience. We arrived a little early and highly recommend enjoying "The Kitchen Table" restaurant while waiting for your tour to start; it's a great spot to relax and grab some excellent food. Overall, a top-notch experience!

Google
Sept 3. Great tour!!! Wasn't sure what to expect since this distillery is huge. Thankfully were treated super well. Our tour guide was Justin Turner. Justin was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Beam product. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. Oh by the way, the whiskies were good too: Baker's 13 and recent Booker's release. The Kitchen at Beam was very very good. Awesome views from balcony.

Google
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and coming to this distillery... We had Justin as our tour guide he was great and had good customer service from offering hot hands (due to it being colder in the warehouse) to us to the tastings it was an experience... Learning history how the bourbon is made and drinking from the barrel was awesome... Justin our tour guide definitely seemed to know his Jim beam history and knew a lot about the Jim beam distillery and just seemed to enjoy his job... Just driving in on the grounds it was beautiful... A lot to be taken in... Definitely recommend doing a tour...

Google
Jesse & Dani the buss driver did great. They made us feel special on our honeymoon. Freddie & Fred signing a card for us, plus both 2025 bookers, as well as limited edition pin bottle being in stock, were like the cherry on top. It ended up being the ultimate experience. By far the best tour I’ve been on both on & off the bourbon trail. Whatever JB pays Jesse it’s not enough.

Google
Did the Maturation tour. Had an amazing experience!!! Our tour guide Katie was knowledgeable. Tour was very interactive and enlightening. If you ever want to try straight from barrel, this is what you're looking for.

Rachel B.

Google
Fantastic, such incredible history. Highly recommend signing up for the 8 generation tasting experience. A 45 min guided tasting full of history and knowledge about the brand and flavor profiles of the whiskeys. Great experience, would love to come back soon.

Google
Second time doing this tour and it was just as good as the first. Walking, sampling tour with some hands on experiences. Worth the trip. Ate at the restaurant last time, but closed on Monday and I think Tuesday so we didn't eat there this time. Staff was friendly each time I visited. You may find some bourbons that are hard to get, but some prices are higher than your local liquor store.

Yelp
Jim Beam Honey Bourbon: Jim Beam's history begins before the US became a country as the Boehm family transplanted to the 13 colonies in 1740. Approximately 48 years later, the family moved to the KY region thanks to government incentives to move west and grow corn. At some point they changed their name from Boehm to Beam. Among the travelers was Jacob Beam, who used his father's whiskey recipe to distill corn into a new, sweeter kind of whiskey (bourbon). Jim Beam Honey is a honey liqueur infused with KY straight bourbon whiskey. Beginning with the bottle, I like the addition of honeycombs, but I'm a bit nonplussed as to why the company went from an attractive black label to an unattractive white (in my opinion). Of the honey whiskies I've tried, the aroma of Jim Beam's version is by far the best. It smells like I'm sniffing a bottle of actual honey. Unfortunately, the flavor didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the aroma. While it was sweet, sipping it neat, it had a somewhat artificial/medicinal quality to it. I've heard mixing honey whiskey with lemonade works well, so I also tried that, which proved to be a fiasco. Remember how I said it had a medicinal quality? Just in time for respiratory season, mixing it with lemonade reminded me of "Halls Honey Lemon Cough Drops". Texturally, it did not seem any thicker than normal whiskey even though it's part liqueur. It comes in at 32.5%alc/vol, 65 proof. BEE careful, this one is just okay at best. My Honey Whiskey Rankings: 1. American Honey 2. Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey 3. Jim Beam Honey Bourbon N/A Evan Williams Honey (It's been a decade, so I can't really compare it off memory, although I remember liking it at the time) *Only ones I've tried Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Yelp
Went on my first Beam tour today and was really happy with the tour and our guide. The Small Batch and Innovation Tour at the Fred B Noe distillery was the perfect introduction to Baker and Bookers brands. Better yet, we were able to taste these at the end of the tour. I really enjoyed both of these brands more than I thought I would. Sam was great and did an excellent job explaining the history of the Bookers brand and how the Beam distillery is experimenting to continue to add to their offerings
google avatar

Natalie R.

Yelp
Having not been a huge Beam fan in the past (but only because I haven't really tried it) but I was pleasantly surprised by our small batch & innovation tour and tasting today at the Fred B. Noe distillery! Even though we've been on multiple distillery tours, Sam was full of new information about the Beam history as well as the process in the innovation center. I loved hearing how the Bookers and Little Book brand came into being. The highlight of our tour was getting to taste some bourbons we haven't had before and not one was a bad bourbon here at Jim Beam! While we didn't take the Jim Beam full production tour, the innovation tour was a great representation of what happens just across the way and still not small in any sense of the word. I'd recommend a Beam tour to anyone who likes a good bourbon - the lineage bourbon was incredibly smooth & tasty!

Yelp
I have been here a couple of times now for their tour and tasting as well as eating in their restaurant. Each time has been a great experience with tasty food, good service and a fun tour. I love their entire property, beautifully decorated with the warm welcoming country vintage feel. A great place tucked in the Kentucky countryside yet right off the freeway.

Yelp
This was my first time in Louisville. My husband had been here for work, but not for fun! He planned this trip. I'm not really into bourbon, but he is - and it's starting to grow on me. We were going to number of distilleries, but were only going to tour one - and this was it! Nicky was our guide and she as great! She lead us through the whole process and explained everything. She also answered any questions that we had. I'm not sure how many were in our tour group, but she made sure we all had opportunities to see everything and ask anything. It was pretty cool to see the whole process and hear about the history of the brand! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to know more about the bourbon process and/or Jim Beam!
google avatar

Diane W.

Yelp
Hubby had been here before on a different tour, but my first time here. Found Cole to be funny and a good tour guide through the distilling process and through various sections of bourbon making. Although not a bourbon nor rye drinker, I enjoyed it thoroughly and passed my drinks on to my husband. The grounds themselves looked pretty and there are rocking chairs outside to relax, as well as a restaurant in another building that is supposed to be good.
google avatar

Liv L.

Yelp
This was my second time on visiting this distillery and they have majorly upgraded both their visitor center and the tour. It was really cool to hear all about their history and how their bourbon was made. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable as well. Really enjoyed this tour and would recommend to others visiting bourbon country

Yelp
My wife wanted to visit this place - it is so iconic to American Whiskey. We signed up for the 8 Generations of Beams tasting, which included 7 separate samples. The samples were small enough that you could drive afterwards, provided you work to stay hydrated and don't come in with an empty stomach. The tasting rooms are nicely appointed, and featured a place mat with the 7 different whiskeys, and who the distillery was under the leadership of during each of their developments. Our guide was very helpful and provided good insights into the products that were up for tasting.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
This was a great tour & the restaurant is amazing, everyone loved their selection. I had the ribs and they were great and, not surprisingly the bbq sauce was delicious. The staff was friendly, the samples were great, the tour was fun and informative, and I highly recommend a meal in house.
google avatar

Grady M.

Yelp
I had taken a tour a few years ago and had a great time. Now the tour is much shorter and you can't go through the plant and watch the production line and bottling. Didn't get to see the rack houses either. I was extremely disappointed after having a great time previously.
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
Fun & informative tour with Joseph Falcon. Interesting to see so many steps in the bourbon process. Had some choices in which bourbon products to taste.

Margaret V.

Yelp
Amazing tour with bourbon tasting. Very educational Great food at the restaurant Highly recommend

Yelp
Wasn't on our list, but so glad we stopped. A very beautiful set up on spectacular grounds. Their store is a museum of fun and the tasting room was a wealth of great sips from very knowledgeable servers. Can't wait to bring our adult kids back!!

Yelp
We visited the distillery and restaurant on a Saturday during a holiday weekend. The parking lot was large so we easily found parking, but the place was still full of people. We checked in for our tour on the main level and checked out the gift shop. It was very tight space and difficult to see everything with all of the people, but they did have a nice variety of merchandise. We really liked the Photo Booth that printed out two free photo copies for you to keep. Our tour was on the second level of the building. There was another gift shop space up there and a bar. We did the generations tasting which was a sample of 7 different bourbons and a chocolate. It was really interesting to hear the history of Beam and our guide was so nice and knowledgeable. Afterwards we visited the restaurant for a quick bite to eat. Thankfully we arrived at a good time and did not have to wait, but when we left there was a decent size line waiting to be seated. We ordered the sliders and a pizza. The sliders were good, but the pizza was even better! Overall, the grounds are well kept and it was a very nice place to experience.

Yelp
I had great experience. I did the first tour that was affordable and be part of experience. I learned a lot and enjoying the tasting while on the tour. I would recommend to my family and friend to do this experience. Beautiful place.

Yelp
Road trip stop and worth it. Definitely want to go back and take the tour. Decor inside was very cool and service was excellent.
google avatar

Marti A.

Yelp
We started our trip here. The distillery is beautiful. The exterior and interior designs are so interesting to explore at each of the distilleries. While waiting for our tour to start, we stopped for some appetizers at the Kitchen. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. We had the garlic Parmesan fries and the brussel sprouts. The fries had fresh shredded Parmesan and garlic seasoning. They were good, but would be better with some minced garlic. The brussel sprouts were in a pepper jelly sauce, and were cooked with a little more crunch, however they were bland, the pepper jelly did not have any spice and they needed salt. We had a tour of the property, lead by Jesse, who was fun and engaging. We enjoyed learning about the history and bourbon making process. We attended three tours while in town, I thought I'd be bored by the third tour as my husband is the bourbon guy, but I thoroughly enjoyed each distillery's unique history. I left 4-stars because I was unimpressed with the food.

Yelp
How to drink Bourbon Pour a shot of that brown bourbon. Swirl a bit to let it aerate. Then put your nose deep into the glass and inhale deeply keeping your lips parted .. so that you taste the bourbon before you actually start drinking it. Yes.. if you live in Kentucky visit this bourbon capital of the world Bardstown. And Jim Beam Distillery is well worth a trip to learn how to go through the bourbon making process, from the corn to the fermentation and aging process. And they give you samples on the way, kids are allowed to accompany the tour. Finally you can personalize a bottle right from labeling to sealing it. Kids also get to make a wax fingerprint seal, which was pretty cool. The Kitchen had really good Margherita pizza, Brussels sprouts and amazing fries.

Yelp
I'm glad we were able to swing by this iconic brand. I was really shooting into the dark when I decided what specific tours to go on during the planning phase of our trip and the warehouse tour seemed interesting. Expectations were set as soon as we arrived, this would be a very short tour but the folks that checked us in kept raving about how it was one of their favorite tours. Our entire tour group was four people. It was very intimate and pretty cool to go on an, almost, private tour. Our guide was great and very knowledgable. We hopped on a bus that drove us to one of the warehouses. We walked in, ambling amongst rows and rows of stacked barrels. Our waiter at the restaurant told us afterwards that he's always worried something will collapse while he's in a warehouse and he'll be crushed by seven stories of bourbon barrels. That would certainly be hard to fit on a death certificate. Fortunately, structural integrity held up during the duration of our tour. Most of the tour was sampling, which is the most important part of the tour anyway. We were able to sample...I'm trying to remember the name and "chef's kiss" is coming to me but that's definitely not it. White dog? It's something earlier in the bourbon production process. We also tried a single barrel straight from the barrel and compared it to Jim Beam Black. As I tried to knock back some of the shit, it hit the back of my throat in just a way to spasm and then subsequently went down the wrong tube. I coughed and coughed and for the rest of short tour, tried to get up the bourbon-laced mucous that was building in my bronchial tree. For this reason only, I was grateful the tour was short. Compared to Maker's Mark, this was a foreword. Perhaps the distillery tour and tasting provides that experience and I'm not sure what possessed me to book the warehouse tour. It is possible that the main tour was sold out and if that is the case, I would suggest looking well ahead of time. We also ate at the restaurant. Us fat fucks can't resist eating every opportunity we get. We ordered cocktails which did the trick. We also ordered their brussels sprouts and cheese plate, both very enjoyable. The restaurant has a nice view over the grounds, a very nice space. Service was excellent. Not a bad way to end a tour.
google avatar

Jack L.

Yelp
Stopped at Jim Beam for a tasting. Unfortunately we missed the warehouse tour but the staff were super accommodating by letting us try a few pours from the vault tasting menu including the Lineage. Had to grab a bottle afterward since the distillery is the only place that sells it. They still have the iconic white barn which makes for a great photo stop. Definitely worth it.
google avatar

Bob M.

Yelp
The pizzas use the same yeast they use in their bourbon and were exceptional. Two pies made plenty to knaw on while we enjoyed the beautiful smell of bourbon!
google avatar

Lynn M.

Yelp
A very nice distillery that is massive and beautifully laid out! Took the Make a Cocktail session at 11:45 and the hostess was fabulous, funny, and very knowledgeable of bourbon and bitters. Walked by a counter and looked at a bottle of bourbon sitting on the counter and turned it around to see the label and got reamed by the blonde-haired lady behind the counter for touching the bottle. She was downright rude! I almost left the distillery right then and there but instead, apologized for touching the bottle and went on to my session. Afterwards, visited The Kitchen and was able to take my drink with me (I returned the glass back to the session leader after I finished). I had the cheese platter (2 cheeses and crackers) and the cream cheese with pepper sauce was wonderful. The pimento cheese had no flavor. I purchased a couple of bottles of bourbon (they were out of the 9 year and 15 year sadly) and went on my merry way.
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
This was our last tour and by far the best while in Kentucky! Samples along the way which was super cool! Our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable made it very enjoyable. I'll definitely be back especially to try the restaurant.
google avatar

Davlon S.

Yelp
This was my 1st stop on the Bourbon Trail and it may have been the most informative. Soo much was learned about the about the Bourbon making process and we got to tour the actual facility. Highly recommend that you add this stop to your agenda if you are visiting Louisville.
google avatar

Deb W.

Yelp
This campus is beautiful. From the distillery to gift shop to the restaurant. We didn't have reservations and unfortunately the restaurant wait was over an hour so can't wait to try that next time. We did the tasting experience and it was awesome. They give you history, education and tasting all within about 1/2 hour in a room upstairs near bar. Would recommend this to anyone, even the not so seasoned bourbon drinker like myself. The only downfall is the merchandise was a bit picked over for clothing/hats, more selection would be great.
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
We had such a great tour! We've been to a few distillery tours the last couple months, and this by far was the best. Falcon was an amazing your guide and very knowledgeable! We enjoyed drinks and lunch at the Kitchen Table Restaurant as well. Our bartender Erica made the most delicious drinks. Pizza was great as well. Everyone we interacted with from start to finish made it a great experience!
google avatar

Bobbi H.

Yelp
There is ALOT of Kentucky bourbon history shared during the James Beam Distillery tour. Our guide was personable and very knowledgeable answering everyone's questions. Your tour multiple buildings, and they provide busses between buildings, so less walking than some of the other area tours. Tour ends with a tasting and then you are lead through the gift shop to exit. A few interesting notes: Their buildings are painted black to hide the mold that grows on all the Distilleries James would bring a pot of yeast home every night so they wouldn't lose the recipe if there was a disaster Their fermentation tanks are covered to speed up the process
google avatar

Yelp
This place is frigging awesome, took the family here and just an all round fantastic and beautiful place. I'm not a JB fan but I loved this place. Food was excellent, service was great. Keep at it JB, you're rocking it!
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
Before this tour, I was not a big Jim Beam fan. Only liked Little Book or Bookers. After our tour with Samantha "Sam", I am a Beam boy!!! I still won't forgive her for pouring out my glass of Knob Creek (go on the tour and you will see alcohol abuse by wasting a full glass of Knob!) Such a beautiful property. Such a fun tour guide with Sam. Great tasting bourbon and tons of Kentucky bourbon history to learn. I knew bourbon history before but learned so much more after visiting a pioneer of bourbon.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
The Jim Bean tour was perfectly fine. Perhaps a bit too commercialized. Tour guide was kind and informative but maybe a bit to rehearsed. The tasting was nice. They don't carry any of their premium brands - Bookers, Bakers, etc - at the shop. There is an on-site restaurant that looked nice but we didn't have to chance to try it. If you are making the BT rounds then hit up JB. No need to go out of your way though.
google avatar

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
Tour was well done. They explained a lot about the whiskey industry. The bar was nice.
google avatar

Jason O.

Yelp
This place is huge and definitely a must when on the bourbon trail! I enjoyed the whole process and how you can design your own bottle. The grounds were beautiful and I took my dog after the tour to play fetch and enjoy the scenery. The restaurant was nice too and friendly staff.
google avatar

Babs K.

Yelp
Had a great visit - all your tix were sold out but we decided to show up and were able to do the Family Tasting experience. Felt the fee was on par for the experience and product we were able to taste. The day was beautiful and after the tasting we decided to stay on campus to eat lunch at the Kitchen Table. Wait was only 15-20 minutes and we enjoyed playing corn hole while we waited. We all felt the experience and surroundings were more than expected and as a group of 6 enjoyed time together!
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
A Bourbon Mecca... Admittedly, I am not a fan of Jim Beam, white label or black...however the quality of this tour made this fact irrelevant. Firstly, the size of this campus is simply stifling. Rickhouses and far as the eye can see and a sprawling industrial grade distilling operation that somehow still manages to look aesthetically pleasing with it's smoke stacks, silos and endless maze of pipes. I've done many distillery tours but what made this one stand out was the interaction that you were able to have with the real product. On the "Beam made Bourbon" tour you not only get to partially fill a new barrel but you also get to partially dump a matured one...along with bottling your own bourbon to purchase and take home. Fan or no, I would highly suggest this tour for any bourbon or spirits enthusiast!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
This was the one distillery I wanted to visit while I was in Kentucky. Little did I know that Jim Beam has acquired several different brands over the years. Including Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, Bookers, and others. They have several different experiences from a tour, tastings, and a bartender class where you make a classic cocktail. The grounds are very beautiful and there is something there for everybody. The visitor center is great and has all different kinds of whiskeys you can buy and all kinds of jim beam swag you can get. We opted to do the tasting where you get to try five different whiskeys. Some of their best and smoothest whiskeys. You can also get a personal engraving on a bottle. This makes for a great gift idea. If you are whiskey or a Jim Beam fan I highly recommend giving them a visit.
google avatar

Teah H.

Yelp
Wanted to visit the distillery but did not want to do a classic tour. Decided to book the cocktail 101 class. Distillery grounds were beautifully decorated for fall. The class took place on the second level at the bar in the gift shop. We were lucky to be the only people in the session this afternoon. Lily was our bartender & did a great job teaching us through how to make a whiskey sour. She walked through all the equipment we had. Everything was simplified & fool proof. We all made a delicious whiskey sour. I feel confident that I can remake this cocktail successfully at home. Thanks Lily for a great afternoon!
google avatar

Gabriella G.

Yelp
We got there around 4 and their last tour (1.5 hours long) left at 3- ish I think? But... there's a tasting bar upstairs and it was all we wanted! I mean the whole place looks amazing, the huge factory silos are so impressive on your drive up.. the atmosphere around the place is super classy... but we wanted to taste the stuff and maybe learn a little about it, and our young bartender did the trick! Mind you, we are not bourbon drinkers at all, so she eyed me and recommended 2 pours of the $10 selection and the favorite I chose was the softest (only 80 proof!) see my bottles in the picture: the one on the left. He chose the $20 pours and got the selection selection of 140 proof stuff- I mean I tasted it and no thank you lol! - and he chose the one on the far right as his favorite. You can purchase the bottles here but they are all available at your favorite licor store back home, so we bought my magnets, and left to go to "the Kitchen" their restaurant on premises, where we enjoyed the best Old Fadhioned.. Yumm. A ver y hoya le visit: Recommended highly!!
google avatar

Natalie L.

Yelp
Another beautiful distillery. This was one of our last stops while visiting the Bourbon Trail and i'm so glad we were able to make it in. Absolutely gorgeous property. This was by far one of the most interactive distillery tours we had the pleasure of taking. The passion these guys have for the bourbon-making process truly shines through. Plus, the bourbon was great! If you have a chance to visit their on-site restaurant, Kitchen Table, i highly recommend you do. It's an equally amazing experience!
google avatar

Gary B.

Yelp
A large two story building is the heart of the public area, the bottom floor is a the gift shop, and the top floor is the tasting rooms. This is also the ticket area and gathering place for the tours. Lots of pictures on the wall of the history of the company, mostly photos of people, but some cool items like the telegram allowing new production after prohibition. The staff were all great, and the tastings was well conducted, just the right amount of humor.

D P.

Yelp
Very disappointed. New to the area always wanted to go, so My wife and I drive 1 1/2 hours to get there wanted to buy a couple bottles of specialty Jim Beam and always wanted a 18 year knob. I stepped up to the tasting area waited and waited made eye contact waited and waited. The server continued to make small talk with others. After being ignored I left. I'm a disabled vet and in allot of pain from standing I refused to stand anymore if I'm being ignored. I did not come to taste I came there to buy for my collection of bourbon. Won't be going back, will I buy their product? no, was it a good experience? No. I've had a much better experience at other distillery in the area. Very disappointed.

Yelp
We took a day trip to the Jim Beam distillery and several local wineries. The Kitchen Table has great atmosphere and amazing views. We tried the Revolver and Oh My Rye; both highly recommended. The last time we were here, The Kitchen didn't exist and its a great addition to an overall fantastic experience at the distillery.
google avatar

Raymond J.

Yelp
Truly enjoyed this place. Jim Beam has not been my most favorite spirit, but have lots of respect for their brand. This location is perfect the development here is beautiful. I enjoyed the staff and the tasting as well as the knowledge of the guide. Excellent building great historical memorabilia all around. I will not hesitate to recommend this as a must stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Yelp
After the whiskey tasting we were ready for something to eat. Ordered a pizza which the dough is made with the yeast. Best crust I have ever had. Service was just okay. Our waiter disappeared for at least 20 minutes. Cool view if you are sitting on the patio.
google avatar

Yelp
James Beam is a famous whiskey in Korea, too. I was very happy to visit this place. Especially in the fall, the scenery was beautiful, and the whiskey shots and fries at the restaurant were very special. Strongly recommended.

Yelp
Since I've already been to the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, I had to give this one a chance! I booked the Beam Made Bourbon Distillery Tour & Tasting for my significant other and I on their website. I even brought my dog along. This experience was a total of 1.5 hours. The entrance took us down a winding road around the campus. It was quite large, so the signs helped tremendously on where to go to find parking. We entered through the American Outpost building to get things started. We were each issued a physical ticket. At the start of the tour, we were greeted by the two tour guides. After being told the rules, they directed us to go on the shuttle bus outside. It was a short ride to our first destination. We used the shuttle bus throughout the tour, as the campus was so much larger than it appeared at first glance. We were also in and out of certain areas, so if you have the chance to visit here, you may want to dress appropriately for the weather. Unfortunately for us, it was cold outside. After we viewed everything on the tour that was used to make bourbon, our last stop was to actually try bourbon! With bourbon around me for over an hour, I was pumped to arrive at the tasting room. I was able to choose my own seat and there was a tasting palette prepared in front of each seat. The palette consisted of Jim Beam, Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, an empty glass for Your Bourbon Of Choice, Booker's Beaten Biscuits, and Water. We were guided on how to properly perform a bourbon tasting. Without giving too much away, there was a process, trust me. This tasting was, in a way, elegant. I enjoyed everything on the palette, including the oddly placed Biscuit. For my Bourbon Of Choice, I chose Booker's. I figured that it would be a good choice, since it was a fairly old bourbon and being the oldest of the choices. It was a mean bourbon! I'm glad I chose it. The service at every angle of this place was outstanding! The tour guides were both filled with knowledge and even answered random questions from other guests on the tour. They never rushed anything, which gave me optimal time to soak in each set of scenery. Overall, I had a great time here! The cold weather was saddening, but of course that wasn't their fault at all. Going in and out of the buildings accompanied by the moments in the shuttle bus gave me blasts of warmth. I would definitely return here in the future! Date of visit: February 3, 2023

Yelp
From a bourbon lover in Kentucky we visited the #1 selling brand in the world. We had a fun day while indulging in adult beverages, tasty eats from "The Kitchen"restaurant to the "Outpost" for souvenirs and bourbon to take home and Live music by Carl Stuck on their inviting tree lined shady Patio. The Kitchen is the most recent addition to the experience and we thought was beautiful while enjoying a few apps, Delicious! So much history! In fact over 225 years worth. Beautiful grounds to walk thru concrete pathways. Many photo & selfie opportunities along the way. If your not a bourbon enthusiast it's still a special place to visit for the food and historical site. Tours of facility runs every 3 hours by limo-vans to see from beginning to end of distillation to bottling process. A must see adventure!

Yelp
Overall this place is beautiful! Unfortunately it also is disappointing. When I was here in 2012, we had issues getting on a tour and just did an interesting tasting in a barn that had auto dispensing alcohol tastes. When we came here in 2021 they were completely shut down. Google didn't tell us that when we searched unfortunately so we wasted time then. Finally we come in today. Tried to get into a 1:15 build a cocktail class at 1:04 and couldn't because that's not enough time to set up for three more people. Bought some Manhattan mix and left. I guess what I'm saying is plan better than me and know that even though they advertise 8 spots left in a time period, it might be a lie.

Yelp
I've been to a a fair amount of distilleries but I have to say this was the most fun tour I've taken yet. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the tour shows your first hand how the whole process works start to finish. There's a chance to bottle your own bourbon if you choose which is very cool. Highly recommend to any bourbon lover !
