Last weekend I did the Beam Made Bourbon Distillery Tour & Tasting in Clermont, Kentucky, and it was one of the best distillery experiences I’ve had on the Bourbon Trail. The tour covered multiple buildings and gave a detailed look at the entire bourbon-making process—from grain to bottle. It was informative without feeling too technical, and our guide did a great job balancing history, process, and storytelling. There’s a strong sense of legacy here, with plenty of insight into the Beam and Noe family history and their role in shaping American bourbon. We tasted a variety of bourbons during the guided tasting, including Jim Beam, Basil Hayden, and Knob Creek. The Knob Creek tasting stood out, and it was cool to see their bottling line in action. After the official tour wrapped up, we headed to the tasting room where you can purchase additional pours from a bartender. I tried a few of the flavored varieties and really liked the Fire—definitely a fun, easy-drinking option with a bit of spice. The facilities were clean, well-designed, and easy to navigate. Everything felt very polished but still authentic. We had considered eating at the on-site restaurant, The Kitchen Table, but it closes at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and our tour finished just after that—worth planning around if you’re visiting on the weekend. Overall, the Beam Made experience was a great mix of education, history, and hands-on tasting. Highly recommended whether you’re just starting to explore bourbon or already a fan of the Beam lineup.

Google
Tour that is worth the price. You get a full behind the scenes tour and a sample glass to savory the experience as you walk along and learn the history and process of Jim Beam Co. Our tour guide, Mark, took us around at a good pace and answered every off the wall questions we had. The also offer a military discount on the base tour and merchandise (except alcohol). Thank you for that.

Google
Did the shutdown tour with Presley. Was informative and entertaining. We did multiple tours on the Bourbon Trail this trip - we found this one most enjoyable - especially, since most of it was indoors! The tastings were great - and you get a souvenir shot glass!

We thoroughly enjoyed the 1.5-hour Distillery Tour and Tasting on a rainy Tuesday. Though we don't drink, we came to learn about the company's history and the bourbon-making process. Our guide, Nikki, was outstanding—she shared tons of information and answered all our questions. We loved seeing the production facilities, and the tour also offered excellent visuals and staged areas that provided great context. The gift shop is nice, but be aware the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The tour includes four tastings at three stops. If you're not drinking, book the under-21 ticket to save money. We had an excellent time overall.

Google
Second time doing this tour and it was just as good as the first. Walking, sampling tour with some hands on experiences. Worth the trip. Ate at the restaurant last time, but closed on Monday and I think Tuesday so we didn't eat there this time. Staff was friendly each time I visited. You may find some bourbons that are hard to get, but some prices are higher than your local liquor store.

Google
This was the third distillery we had the opportunity to tour…… without a doubt, Jim Beam was the BEST! Our guide Holden was a wealth of knowledge that he presented with a cheerful and pleasant demeanor. The “tastings” far exceeded our expectations. Before the tour, I had a preferred/favorite bourbon….. I left with a new one!

Google
6/19/25 - KY Bourbon Whiskey Trip At James Beam, we really like the black and white theme buildings and decor with modern rotating wall displays of history. Our tasting tour guide, Justin, was so informative. Our tasting was small and personalized. The tastings, both formally and at the tasting bar, were delicious. The staff was friendly.

Google
Gorgeous property!! We booked the Beam Reserve Tasting and it was great. The visitors center is a two story gift shop with every Jim Beam brand bottle you could think of, yes even those very hard to find like Bakers 13 and they even had the Little Book Chapter 9 that was just release days before we arrived. There are two large tasting rooms upstairs and a large bar. Service was great. The food and service at the restaurant was also excellent!

Yelp
Road trip stop and worth it. Definitely want to go back and take the tour. Decor inside was very cool and service was excellent.

Yelp
My wife wanted to visit this place - it is so iconic to American Whiskey. We signed up for the 8 Generations of Beams tasting, which included 7 separate samples. The samples were small enough that you could drive afterwards, provided you work to stay hydrated and don't come in with an empty stomach. The tasting rooms are nicely appointed, and featured a place mat with the 7 different whiskeys, and who the distillery was under the leadership of during each of their developments. Our guide was very helpful and provided good insights into the products that were up for tasting.

Yelp
This was a great tour & the restaurant is amazing, everyone loved their selection. I had the ribs and they were great and, not surprisingly the bbq sauce was delicious. The staff was friendly, the samples were great, the tour was fun and informative, and I highly recommend a meal in house.

Yelp
We visited the distillery and restaurant on a Saturday during a holiday weekend. The parking lot was large so we easily found parking, but the place was still full of people. We checked in for our tour on the main level and checked out the gift shop. It was very tight space and difficult to see everything with all of the people, but they did have a nice variety of merchandise. We really liked the Photo Booth that printed out two free photo copies for you to keep. Our tour was on the second level of the building. There was another gift shop space up there and a bar. We did the generations tasting which was a sample of 7 different bourbons and a chocolate. It was really interesting to hear the history of Beam and our guide was so nice and knowledgeable. Afterwards we visited the restaurant for a quick bite to eat. Thankfully we arrived at a good time and did not have to wait, but when we left there was a decent size line waiting to be seated. We ordered the sliders and a pizza. The sliders were good, but the pizza was even better! Overall, the grounds are well kept and it was a very nice place to experience.

Yelp
I had great experience. I did the first tour that was affordable and be part of experience. I learned a lot and enjoying the tasting while on the tour. I would recommend to my family and friend to do this experience. Beautiful place.

Yelp
The pizzas use the same yeast they use in their bourbon and were exceptional. Two pies made plenty to knaw on while we enjoyed the beautiful smell of bourbon!

Yelp
We started our trip here. The distillery is beautiful. The exterior and interior designs are so interesting to explore at each of the distilleries. While waiting for our tour to start, we stopped for some appetizers at the Kitchen. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. We had the garlic Parmesan fries and the brussel sprouts. The fries had fresh shredded Parmesan and garlic seasoning. They were good, but would be better with some minced garlic. The brussel sprouts were in a pepper jelly sauce, and were cooked with a little more crunch, however they were bland, the pepper jelly did not have any spice and they needed salt. We had a tour of the property, lead by Jesse, who was fun and engaging. We enjoyed learning about the history and bourbon making process. We attended three tours while in town, I thought I'd be bored by the third tour as my husband is the bourbon guy, but I thoroughly enjoyed each distillery's unique history. I left 4-stars because I was unimpressed with the food.

Yelp
How to drink Bourbon Pour a shot of that brown bourbon. Swirl a bit to let it aerate. Then put your nose deep into the glass and inhale deeply keeping your lips parted .. so that you taste the bourbon before you actually start drinking it. Yes.. if you live in Kentucky visit this bourbon capital of the world Bardstown. And Jim Beam Distillery is well worth a trip to learn how to go through the bourbon making process, from the corn to the fermentation and aging process. And they give you samples on the way, kids are allowed to accompany the tour. Finally you can personalize a bottle right from labeling to sealing it. Kids also get to make a wax fingerprint seal, which was pretty cool. The Kitchen had really good Margherita pizza, Brussels sprouts and amazing fries.

Yelp
I'm glad we were able to swing by this iconic brand. I was really shooting into the dark when I decided what specific tours to go on during the planning phase of our trip and the warehouse tour seemed interesting. Expectations were set as soon as we arrived, this would be a very short tour but the folks that checked us in kept raving about how it was one of their favorite tours. Our entire tour group was four people. It was very intimate and pretty cool to go on an, almost, private tour. Our guide was great and very knowledgable. We hopped on a bus that drove us to one of the warehouses. We walked in, ambling amongst rows and rows of stacked barrels. Our waiter at the restaurant told us afterwards that he's always worried something will collapse while he's in a warehouse and he'll be crushed by seven stories of bourbon barrels. That would certainly be hard to fit on a death certificate. Fortunately, structural integrity held up during the duration of our tour. Most of the tour was sampling, which is the most important part of the tour anyway. We were able to sample...I'm trying to remember the name and "chef's kiss" is coming to me but that's definitely not it. White dog? It's something earlier in the bourbon production process. We also tried a single barrel straight from the barrel and compared it to Jim Beam Black. As I tried to knock back some of the shit, it hit the back of my throat in just a way to spasm and then subsequently went down the wrong tube. I coughed and coughed and for the rest of short tour, tried to get up the bourbon-laced mucous that was building in my bronchial tree. For this reason only, I was grateful the tour was short. Compared to Maker's Mark, this was a foreword. Perhaps the distillery tour and tasting provides that experience and I'm not sure what possessed me to book the warehouse tour. It is possible that the main tour was sold out and if that is the case, I would suggest looking well ahead of time. We also ate at the restaurant. Us fat fucks can't resist eating every opportunity we get. We ordered cocktails which did the trick. We also ordered their brussels sprouts and cheese plate, both very enjoyable. The restaurant has a nice view over the grounds, a very nice space. Service was excellent. Not a bad way to end a tour.

Yelp
After the whiskey tasting we were ready for something to eat. Ordered a pizza which the dough is made with the yeast. Best crust I have ever had. Service was just okay. Our waiter disappeared for at least 20 minutes. Cool view if you are sitting on the patio.

Yelp
This was our last tour and by far the best while in Kentucky! Samples along the way which was super cool! Our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable made it very enjoyable. I'll definitely be back especially to try the restaurant.

Yelp
This was my 1st stop on the Bourbon Trail and it may have been the most informative. Soo much was learned about the about the Bourbon making process and we got to tour the actual facility. Highly recommend that you add this stop to your agenda if you are visiting Louisville.

Yelp
Tour was well done. They explained a lot about the whiskey industry. The bar was nice.

Yelp
We had such a great tour! We've been to a few distillery tours the last couple months, and this by far was the best. Falcon was an amazing your guide and very knowledgeable! We enjoyed drinks and lunch at the Kitchen Table Restaurant as well. Our bartender Erica made the most delicious drinks. Pizza was great as well. Everyone we interacted with from start to finish made it a great experience!

Yelp
This campus is beautiful. From the distillery to gift shop to the restaurant. We didn't have reservations and unfortunately the restaurant wait was over an hour so can't wait to try that next time. We did the tasting experience and it was awesome. They give you history, education and tasting all within about 1/2 hour in a room upstairs near bar. Would recommend this to anyone, even the not so seasoned bourbon drinker like myself. The only downfall is the merchandise was a bit picked over for clothing/hats, more selection would be great.

Yelp
Before this tour, I was not a big Jim Beam fan. Only liked Little Book or Bookers. After our tour with Samantha "Sam", I am a Beam boy!!! I still won't forgive her for pouring out my glass of Knob Creek (go on the tour and you will see alcohol abuse by wasting a full glass of Knob!) Such a beautiful property. Such a fun tour guide with Sam. Great tasting bourbon and tons of Kentucky bourbon history to learn. I knew bourbon history before but learned so much more after visiting a pioneer of bourbon.

Yelp
Had a great visit - all your tix were sold out but we decided to show up and were able to do the Family Tasting experience. Felt the fee was on par for the experience and product we were able to taste. The day was beautiful and after the tasting we decided to stay on campus to eat lunch at the Kitchen Table. Wait was only 15-20 minutes and we enjoyed playing corn hole while we waited. We all felt the experience and surroundings were more than expected and as a group of 6 enjoyed time together!

Yelp
This place is huge and definitely a must when on the bourbon trail! I enjoyed the whole process and how you can design your own bottle. The grounds were beautiful and I took my dog after the tour to play fetch and enjoy the scenery. The restaurant was nice too and friendly staff.

Yelp
A Bourbon Mecca... Admittedly, I am not a fan of Jim Beam, white label or black...however the quality of this tour made this fact irrelevant. Firstly, the size of this campus is simply stifling. Rickhouses and far as the eye can see and a sprawling industrial grade distilling operation that somehow still manages to look aesthetically pleasing with it's smoke stacks, silos and endless maze of pipes. I've done many distillery tours but what made this one stand out was the interaction that you were able to have with the real product. On the "Beam made Bourbon" tour you not only get to partially fill a new barrel but you also get to partially dump a matured one...along with bottling your own bourbon to purchase and take home. Fan or no, I would highly suggest this tour for any bourbon or spirits enthusiast!
google avatar

Yelp
There is ALOT of Kentucky bourbon history shared during the James Beam Distillery tour. Our guide was personable and very knowledgeable answering everyone's questions. Your tour multiple buildings, and they provide busses between buildings, so less walking than some of the other area tours. Tour ends with a tasting and then you are lead through the gift shop to exit. A few interesting notes: Their buildings are painted black to hide the mold that grows on all the Distilleries James would bring a pot of yeast home every night so they wouldn't lose the recipe if there was a disaster Their fermentation tanks are covered to speed up the process

Yelp
We got there around 4 and their last tour (1.5 hours long) left at 3- ish I think? But... there's a tasting bar upstairs and it was all we wanted! I mean the whole place looks amazing, the huge factory silos are so impressive on your drive up.. the atmosphere around the place is super classy... but we wanted to taste the stuff and maybe learn a little about it, and our young bartender did the trick! Mind you, we are not bourbon drinkers at all, so she eyed me and recommended 2 pours of the $10 selection and the favorite I chose was the softest (only 80 proof!) see my bottles in the picture: the one on the left. He chose the $20 pours and got the selection selection of 140 proof stuff- I mean I tasted it and no thank you lol! - and he chose the one on the far right as his favorite. You can purchase the bottles here but they are all available at your favorite licor store back home, so we bought my magnets, and left to go to "the Kitchen" their restaurant on premises, where we enjoyed the best Old Fadhioned.. Yumm. A ver y hoya le visit: Recommended highly!!

Yelp
Another beautiful distillery. This was one of our last stops while visiting the Bourbon Trail and i'm so glad we were able to make it in. Absolutely gorgeous property. This was by far one of the most interactive distillery tours we had the pleasure of taking. The passion these guys have for the bourbon-making process truly shines through. Plus, the bourbon was great! If you have a chance to visit their on-site restaurant, Kitchen Table, i highly recommend you do. It's an equally amazing experience!

Yelp
One thing I will admit, it is amazing how most of the distilleries out there have stepped their game up with their visitor centers (which I guess they need to if they want to keep their appeal and repeat visitors). Jim Beam is not exception. One thing I do like about JB is well, they have decent brands, and the OG Brand has a unique Kentucky flair to it (ie, have you had a JB and coke?). Over the years, their portfolio has surely expanded as well. It is funny though, I am usually a Bardstown (area) bourbon guy, and so JB came to me later on. Once I was going to meet my family at Bernheim Forest, which was then I was introduced (and realized how close it is off the highway) to the campus. I instantly fell in love with it. Everyone was friendly to my mom and I, and I was able to get some decent bottles (which are slightly above retail, which they do to so local biz aren't left to dry) and merch that you don't see everyday. I then kept hearing about the restaurant on site, but never had a chance to make it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we were able to re-visit, and check out the restaurant (which if you haven't, I suggest you go and check the hours). The gift shop was well stocked (and is also 2 floors mind you), and I realized the elevator inside is actually supposed to look like a distiller, which is pretty cool. Have not done the tour yet, but it will definitely be done in the near future. If you have the time to check it out, this campus is not to be missed!

Yelp
This was the one distillery I wanted to visit while I was in Kentucky. Little did I know that Jim Beam has acquired several different brands over the years. Including Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, Bookers, and others. They have several different experiences from a tour, tastings, and a bartender class where you make a classic cocktail. The grounds are very beautiful and there is something there for everybody. The visitor center is great and has all different kinds of whiskeys you can buy and all kinds of jim beam swag you can get. We opted to do the tasting where you get to try five different whiskeys. Some of their best and smoothest whiskeys. You can also get a personal engraving on a bottle. This makes for a great gift idea. If you are whiskey or a Jim Beam fan I highly recommend giving them a visit.

Yelp
Since I've already been to the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, I had to give this one a chance! I booked the Beam Made Bourbon Distillery Tour & Tasting for my significant other and I on their website. I even brought my dog along. This experience was a total of 1.5 hours. The entrance took us down a winding road around the campus. It was quite large, so the signs helped tremendously on where to go to find parking. We entered through the American Outpost building to get things started. We were each issued a physical ticket. At the start of the tour, we were greeted by the two tour guides. After being told the rules, they directed us to go on the shuttle bus outside. It was a short ride to our first destination. We used the shuttle bus throughout the tour, as the campus was so much larger than it appeared at first glance. We were also in and out of certain areas, so if you have the chance to visit here, you may want to dress appropriately for the weather. Unfortunately for us, it was cold outside. After we viewed everything on the tour that was used to make bourbon, our last stop was to actually try bourbon! With bourbon around me for over an hour, I was pumped to arrive at the tasting room. I was able to choose my own seat and there was a tasting palette prepared in front of each seat. The palette consisted of Jim Beam, Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, an empty glass for Your Bourbon Of Choice, Booker's Beaten Biscuits, and Water. We were guided on how to properly perform a bourbon tasting. Without giving too much away, there was a process, trust me. This tasting was, in a way, elegant. I enjoyed everything on the palette, including the oddly placed Biscuit. For my Bourbon Of Choice, I chose Booker's. I figured that it would be a good choice, since it was a fairly old bourbon and being the oldest of the choices. It was a mean bourbon! I'm glad I chose it. The service at every angle of this place was outstanding! The tour guides were both filled with knowledge and even answered random questions from other guests on the tour. They never rushed anything, which gave me optimal time to soak in each set of scenery. Overall, I had a great time here! The cold weather was saddening, but of course that wasn't their fault at all. Going in and out of the buildings accompanied by the moments in the shuttle bus gave me blasts of warmth. I would definitely return here in the future! Date of visit: February 3, 2023

Yelp
The Jim Bean tour was perfectly fine. Perhaps a bit too commercialized. Tour guide was kind and informative but maybe a bit to rehearsed. The tasting was nice. They don't carry any of their premium brands - Bookers, Bakers, etc - at the shop. There is an on-site restaurant that looked nice but we didn't have to chance to try it. If you are making the BT rounds then hit up JB. No need to go out of your way though.

Yelp
Wanted to visit the distillery but did not want to do a classic tour. Decided to book the cocktail 101 class. Distillery grounds were beautifully decorated for fall. The class took place on the second level at the bar in the gift shop. We were lucky to be the only people in the session this afternoon. Lily was our bartender & did a great job teaching us through how to make a whiskey sour. She walked through all the equipment we had. Everything was simplified & fool proof. We all made a delicious whiskey sour. I feel confident that I can remake this cocktail successfully at home. Thanks Lily for a great afternoon!

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite distillery experiences yet. The grounds are huge, the distillery has a ton of large buildings, the 2 floor gift shop is massive with a place to etch your own bottle, after you've filled it on the line and stamped it with your own fingerprint in the wax. We did the Beam Made distillery tour and tasting and between the van to drive us around the huge facility and the tour guide with a mic, it felt like a very big "show" being put on for us. We learned the history of Beam, the number of different brands and about their goal of a million barrels per year. The tour guide was very good and energetic, it was alot of fun to "bottle your own" Knob Creek for only $60 plus another $10 if you want it etched. Many on our tour did this. The tasting included Jim Beam, Basil Hayden, Knob Creek and a choose your own. There was a restaurant on-site which we didn't try. Would highly recommend a tour or visit to this facility if you are in the area.

Yelp
James Beam is a famous whiskey in Korea, too. I was very happy to visit this place. Especially in the fall, the scenery was beautiful, and the whiskey shots and fries at the restaurant were very special. Strongly recommended.

Yelp
We took a day trip to the Jim Beam distillery and several local wineries. The Kitchen Table has great atmosphere and amazing views. We tried the Revolver and Oh My Rye; both highly recommended. The last time we were here, The Kitchen didn't exist and its a great addition to an overall fantastic experience at the distillery.

Yelp
Truly enjoyed this place. Jim Beam has not been my most favorite spirit, but have lots of respect for their brand. This location is perfect the development here is beautiful. I enjoyed the staff and the tasting as well as the knowledge of the guide. Excellent building great historical memorabilia all around. I will not hesitate to recommend this as a must stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
google avatar

Gary B.

Yelp
A large two story building is the heart of the public area, the bottom floor is a the gift shop, and the top floor is the tasting rooms. This is also the ticket area and gathering place for the tours. Lots of pictures on the wall of the history of the company, mostly photos of people, but some cool items like the telegram allowing new production after prohibition. The staff were all great, and the tastings was well conducted, just the right amount of humor.

Yelp
I've been to a a fair amount of distilleries but I have to say this was the most fun tour I've taken yet. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the tour shows your first hand how the whole process works start to finish. There's a chance to bottle your own bourbon if you choose which is very cool. Highly recommend to any bourbon lover !

Yelp
From a bourbon lover in Kentucky we visited the #1 selling brand in the world. We had a fun day while indulging in adult beverages, tasty eats from "The Kitchen"restaurant to the "Outpost" for souvenirs and bourbon to take home and Live music by Carl Stuck on their inviting tree lined shady Patio. The Kitchen is the most recent addition to the experience and we thought was beautiful while enjoying a few apps, Delicious! So much history! In fact over 225 years worth. Beautiful grounds to walk thru concrete pathways. Many photo & selfie opportunities along the way. If your not a bourbon enthusiast it's still a special place to visit for the food and historical site. Tours of facility runs every 3 hours by limo-vans to see from beginning to end of distillation to bottling process. A must see adventure!

Yelp
Visited Jim Beam on a work related activity. Having been to a number of other distilleries, I figured this would be like the rest. Although the bourbon production is basically the same, I give 5 stars for the tour we were on. The tour guide was knowledgeable and sure to treat every question positively. Beam has a great setup with signage and interaction. Towards the end of the tour, you can pick your own Knob Creek bottle, watch the filling process and put a fingerprint in the wax seal. The bottle is $60, about retail. I was pleased with the tasting as well. Beam generously includes some harder to find options like Bookers and Bakers as part of the tasting. The Beam "tourist" facilities are new and well appointed. Though you won't find hard to get bourbons in the gift shop, it's well done. The restaurant is also a nice spot to eat. Well worth the trip for those both new and experienced in the bourbon culture.

Yelp
Overall this place is beautiful! Unfortunately it also is disappointing. When I was here in 2012, we had issues getting on a tour and just did an interesting tasting in a barn that had auto dispensing alcohol tastes. When we came here in 2021 they were completely shut down. Google didn't tell us that when we searched unfortunately so we wasted time then. Finally we come in today. Tried to get into a 1:15 build a cocktail class at 1:04 and couldn't because that's not enough time to set up for three more people. Bought some Manhattan mix and left. I guess what I'm saying is plan better than me and know that even though they advertise 8 spots left in a time period, it might be a lie.

Yelp
As part of a visit to the Louisville area for a wedding, we added a couple days to play tourist. Beam was an easy drive and a cool experience, even for us bourbon novices. The property is like a state park with lots of old trees, hills and open land dotted with aging barns. The basic tour takes visitors to various buildings to see process equipment while hearing about Beam history, but the emphasis is tasting the product. During the tour a barrel of Knob Creek is opened and visitors can watch the bourbon get filtered, bottled and labelled and then buy the freshly bottled product. We got one which will be served to guests at thanksgiving. The gift shop is large and the staff treated us like family. The restaurant is first class. We sat st the bar and watched bartenders that are in a league of their own. The food was very good served by peolpe that were very friendly. Overall the experience was terrific and is worth the time and money.

Yelp
Out of all the distilleries we went to this was my favorite for multiple reasons. Terry was a fantastic tour guide first and foremost! We had a very small tour group and he really made it special. The grounds themselves are very lovely and were nice to sit out on and enjoy after the tour. The tasting room is very nice as well and there's a lot to do and see. They have a very modern way of approaching tours while still attending to daily business which was very nice. If we had an extra day I would have spent it chatting with my wife enjoying the views all day! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Iconic property and classic bourbons. We did the "Meet the Family" tasting and it was great! They also have a bar upstairs where you can taste other bourbons before you buy them. The buildings are stunning and the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful! This is a must see in our opinion.

Yelp
Such a cool and awesome experience! On our way to Louisville, my husband had an idea of stopping here since he is a huge fan of the brand. On top of that, you get to sample some of the bourbons at the end. Our tour was about 1.5 hours total. Our tour guide, Emily, did an amazing job explaining the history of the brand. Also learned the basics of bourbon making. This would be the perfect activity for a girls' day out or a first date. It is definitely worth stopping here!

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here! There's some walking but don't worry there is a bus that takes you around this huge distillery. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also likable; she made the tour even more enjoyable than it was. We also did a whiskey tasting at the end that later turned into a cocktail making class. In it we watched one of their bartenders teach us how to make a drink. I recommend giving this distillery a shot if you're visiting! There's also a restaurant on the premise and although I did not try, it could be a nice way to end the day.

Yelp
Marie was the best and lead a great tour - fantastic energy. I wasn't necessarily excited about this tour (the white label doesn't really do it for me) but what we ended up tasting changed my mind and I left with two bottles. The campus improvements and restaurant were wonderful and added to our experience. I wish I had realized at the register buying my custom filled bottle that I could pay $10 to get it etched so I didn't have to get back in line after the fact.

Yelp
We enjoyed the Knob Creek tasting experience and the restaurant. Tour was well-done and informational, and the restaurant service was great. We ordered crispy Brussels sprouts, pork empanadas and a pizza with a couple cocktails. The basil & olive oil old fashioned was excellent, and the bartender shared the steps and ratios to make the basil simple syrup. Outstanding late afternoon activity!! On top of that, the Jim Beam facilities were designed to give a high-end guest experience, including rocking chairs on the wraparound porch overlooking the property.

Yelp
What a disappointment (especially compared to Buffalo Trace hospitality). Not a friendly, welcoming vibe. Small gift shop with not all brands represented. Expensive cocktails. Limited variety of bottles for on-site purchase (strange that all brands/flavors wouldn't be offered). I would have saved myself lots of drive time had I known. We were in and out.

Yelp
Great time touring this distillery outside Louisville. Terrific guide Jessie and found their approach very unique as you taste bourbon as you tour at various stations throughout the tour. Lots of fun, highly recommended it!

Yelp
It has been a day since I took the tour, so I was able to let it simmer in my mind. And this morning it still bothers me. I do not like to leave negative reviews and I like to think things through before I make a judgement, but with it still bothering me this morning, I feel I do not have a choice. Now, this is a beautiful distillery and everything was well decorated and thoughtfully put together. The campus is huge. So here is my issue, I felt I was ignored throughout the tour starting from when I entered. As I entered the building there was a check-in desk so you can pick up your tour ticket. There were three people helping the customers already so I waited in line. I was the very next person to be served. So when the first opening opened, the customer service person looked at me (there was no one behind me) and then looked away pretending to tend to papers. I took one step, but then backed off because she looked to be busy. I waited for the next opening. By then a group of five white people walked in and were behind to the right of me. The next spot at the desk next opened up and I thought I was next. The lady immediately looked up and looked passed me and said to the white people, can I help who's next? I am really agitated at this point. The white people walked forward to the desk attendant and I decided to as, well. The lead white guy saw I was cutting in (the customer service lady was only looking at him, not me) and stopped. He said, "Oh you're ahead, go ahead." The people were actually nice. Good white people, unlike the racist customer service desk. The customer service lady finally decides to help me. Still no greeting, no smile. Just takes my information and gives me my ticket and I'm off. She then greets the white group with a smile and cheers. That whole incident bothered me for the rest of the tour. The same thing happened to my tasting tour. The lady ignored me but spoke to everyone else in the group. A room full of white people and I am the only brown person in the room. Could it be coincidence? I do not believe so. I bought no souvenirs and immediately left. White people may drink your bourbon, but some brown people USED to. I will still with other bourbons from now on.
