James Boutique Hôtel · Colmar Centre

We loved this hotel and often remembered it during our travels in Europe this July. It is modern, elegant, and bright. AC worked very well, and the bed was comfortable. The location is good - a walking distance from the old town, and short Uber ride from the train station. We stayed at ~7 hotels during this Europe trip, and the breakfast at James Boutique was our favorite - they did not have too many items, but what they had was high quality - the hot chocolate was the best we ever tasted, wonderful local Alsace yogurts, great orange juice, fresh pastries etc; and the little breakfast area was very cute. I loved the lobby too - tastefully decorated, cooled with AC, and full of light. |The elegant lady with long red hair at the reception was friendly and helpful, and spoke English well with a beautiful french accent. We also appreciated them letting us check out a little later. The price was also very reasonable. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again one day. I wish it were a hotel chain, and I could find James Boutique everywhere we traveled.

We had a wonderful stay at the James Hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, making it easy to relax right away. The location is excellent—close to everything we wanted to see and do. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service, especially from Leticia at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us warmly and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. We had only booked one night but quickly realized we wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked. Leticia went above and beyond to help us find another place nearby. The next day, even though we had already checked out, she kindly offered to store our luggage and let us leave our car at the hotel so we could continue exploring the city without stress. That level of care and attention meant so much to us. Also, the breakfast was wonderful—fresh, delicious, and a great way to start the day. We will definitely be coming back to the James Hotel. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend the James Boutique Hotel in Colmar. I stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The hotel is ideally located—just a short stroll from the main restaurant strip—making it perfect for exploring the town. Inside, everything is clean, modern, and well-maintained, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and good.||What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were genuinely warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. On one occasion when I found myself in a bit of a jam, they went above and beyond to assist me—something I really appreciated.||The secure, on-site carpark was a great convenience, and having a supermarket right next door made it easy to grab anything I needed. All in all, a really good experience

This hotel is nicely located near Little Venice in Colmar. The service is excellent and the breakfast was a very nice buffet with fresh fruits and muesli (my favorite breakfast food); The staff is very friendly and showing on a map where we are. |The rooms are nicely outfitted and the beds are comfor.

Super cozy hotel just a short walk away from the historic city center of Colmar with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels and a spotless room. Parking isn’t cheap but well worth so close to the city center. The breakfast wasn’t a huge selection but what was there was really good. Nevertheless you can always grab a Croissant and a coffee in one of the cafes.

The receptionist, checked us in, took our cases, gave us all the recommendations and also restaurant recommendations too. When we came back the cases were already in the room. |The rooms are very comfortable. Modern bathroom and daily water in the fridge. |The staff are very attentive and happy to help. |The hotel itself is a good location with easy walking distance to the old town. |Would definitely recommend this hotel.

So many ‘best’ parts of my stay in this amazing hotel! I traveled with Con Brio Choral Society in late May. Upon arrival, keys were ready, maps were distributed, and welcome tea and local candies (available 24/7) in the spacious and comfortable lobby. The room was well appointed with many towels, crisp sheets, plenty of pillows, and delightful chocolate. The water pressure and large walk-in shower were fantastic. Rooms are clean every day. There is a refrigerator and in room coffee set up, though I never used because the breakfast was sumptuous with locally sourced breads, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruit juices and fresh eggs which you can cook with a timer to your liking. The coffee and many choices -sensational. Don’t miss the brioche!! The hotel is centrally located, next door is a full supermarket with helpful personnel and an amazing array of local foods and sundries. The hotel is walking distance to everything Colmar has to offer. The Unterlinden Museum is not to be missed! Many shops, restaurants, and sites to see. I chose the local delicacies - Tarte Flambee from Le Flamm’s (out of sight!), macaroons, butter cookies, crisps, caramels, many stores offer samples. I was in heaven when I took a bite of a bon bon covered in chocolate with the airiest marshmallow and pastry, a dream! I rented a bike and discovered the area, biking to the town of Equisheim. |The staff at the hotel are so accommodating providing patient direction and assistance, even h helping me find a local laundromat! |If I come to this area again, I will certainly stay at the James Boutique Hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel, I only stayed one night in a classic double, it was lovely, fairly big with a lovely bathroom, everything felt like it was good quality. I would definitely recommend a visit if your staying in Colmar.||It's about a 25 minute walk from the station but uber costs about £10-12 to get there. ||Staff were very friendly, and for the minimal time I was there I would definitely return. COLMAR is beautiful.

Clean hotel, attentive staff, close to city center, and reasonable price. My only complaint is that the vibes are a little lonely.

An absolutely incredible hotel and staff!! Reception is so welcoming to us and a wealth of knowledge. They accommodations are 100% spot on and I would recommend this hotel to all.

Beautiful rooms, perfectly clean, and unbelievably accommodating staff. A spectacular hotel! We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a larger room and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Apparently getting a taxi (let alone on a Sunday) in Colmar, France is impossible. We were already running a few minutes behind and were worried about missing our train to Paris. The concierge our Hotel helped us scramble for a taxi to get to our train on time and when they couldn't find one the receptionist personally drove us there! Saved us from missing our train, and a big headache. Talk about excellent customer service!!! The room was very large, nicely decorated and extremely clean! They had a lovely bar and seating area with a fire to sit at. The service and the concierge were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is also great just 2 minutes outside the center of the city! Would highly recommend!
