Google
Food was very delicious and the prices were reasonable for what we received. We both did the “build your own burger” option, with the gluten free bun being a +$3 up charge and sweet potato fries an up charge as well. Service was great! My water was constantly refilled (which really appreciated) and the waiter made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend! I also uploaded an updated menu as the older one I found in reviews was outdated. :)

Google
Chill atmosphere, solid food! Wait times for food were pretty slow though. I had the prime rib special which was seasoned quite well. The fried perch was lightly fried and very tender, not overcooked and flaky either!

Autumn S.

Google
We started with the cheese curds and they were excellent. The cherry sirloin was well-prepared, but the mixed vegetables were a little undercooked. The baked mac & cheese was very tasty. The service was solid. We’d eat here again!

Ken S.

Google
Days after discovering Jamesport Brewing, we were still raving about how good the Weizenbock beer was. On top of that, the Spicy Cheddar Cheese Curds were the best cheese curds I've ever had. Wish we lived near enough to be regulars!

Google
Excellent place to relax and enjoy great beer. Try the Badger Brown ale and relax with friends. Need some to take home? No problem. They are glad to can it for you in minutes. We’re definitely coming back on our next visit to Ludington.

Google
I'd like to tell you that their Perch Dinner was excellent, but it was never served. Three of us sat here for over an hour. The waitress came and said our meals would be out in a few minutes. Time passed, she came by the table next to us, never saying a word. Finally when another server delivered meals to a group of diners who had come in after us, we left money for our drinks and left.

Warren W.

Google
Awesome cheese & beer soup. Not too much nor too less ale. The fish & chips was also very good. The batter was very flavorful. The service was prompt and very attentive. This restaurant was recommended to me while I was visiting Ludington, and it certainly did not disappoint.

Jim S.

Google
This beer was outstanding! The Kolsch was phenomenal, while the other 3 I had (harvest ale, Scottish and Citra session) were excellent also. Nice job brewmaster! With so many breweries cranking out mediocre beers, this place really stands out.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch during a work trip and it was great - a perfect spot Our salads were filling and they were the half salads! I had the Michigan Cherry Pecan Salad. It was mixed greens with Michigan dried cherries, toasted pecans, bleu cheese crumbles and requested no red onion. Served with cherry vinaigrette dressing. I added grilled salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Nice crispy delicious edges and it was juicy in the middle. I ate every bit of this salad. It was perfect sized for lunch. My colleague had the beer cheese soup and said it was one of her favorite soups here. The service was very prompt. Greeted and brought to our table within a minute of arriving. It was a very busy place at lunch for a weekday (Tuesday). Our server was kind and very attentive. She knew we were there on a lunch break and gave us time/space and made sure we weren't waiting long for drinks, food, or the check. I love that you can pay the bill at the table. Makes it so fast and efficient! The place was casual and clean - very comfortable for a quick business lunch and or lunch with family. Bathrooms were clean. Street parking only. I definitely recommend this location for all that it is and has to offer. If I'm ever in the are again, I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Stopped in here on a Tuesday night and was told the wait for a table was 20-30 minutes. Grabbed a beer from the bar while we waited. There were 3 IPA options on tap which is what I typically order, but I opted for the pumpkin wheat While I waited. It was very light and refreshing without a heavy pumpkin taste. We ordered the potstickers and cheese curds as appetizers. Both were served hot and fresh. Very tasty! It took awhile after apps were out for our entrees to arrive. I ordered the Reuben with sweet potato fries. Reuben was very good but sweet and potato fries left a lot to be desired. For my second beer, I ordered the West Coast IPA. It was a mosaic ipa and a bit hoppy! Very cool, solid restaurant. Super cool area & would definitely revisit for the beer!

Yelp
It hurts to give a 4 vs 5. Need a 4.5! 5 stars for....excellent staff at host stand. Friendly, welcoming, sat sooner than quoted time. (30 mins when quoted 45-50). Nice sized bar area and huge outdoor patio where you are welcome to wait. Bartender made us feel welcome even though we didn't need drinks while waiting. Excellent views on the beautiful patio! Live music. Excellent server! NA options...4 beers plus mocktails. Huge variety on the menu and well priced. All of that said...the food is what you come to a restaurant for, right?? 3 stars for food... We ordered cheese curds and asked if regular or spicy were better. Were told we could do half and half. Great to have that option. The regular ones were excellent. Spicy were terrible. Gyro was a small serving size and flavorless. Nice amount of feta and other toppings, very little lamb meat. Tuna was good, not great. Prob 3.5 stars All in all, food doesn't have to be perfect to be good and you can truly enjoy going out if the food is "just" good. Will definitely go back and try other menu options. Since there's a great variety we'd likely find something excellent.

Yelp
Ludington Bay has two great breweries and this is one of them. Tucked away in this beautiful building you have a wide selection of beers and the menu is solid also. In the summer it can get quite busy, so be gentle on the wait staff, they are awesome! Well worth the drive out.

Yelp
Great spot off the main path in ludington. Attentive servers & delicious food! I had turkey sandwich & fries - friend had perch sandwich & chips. Lots of beverage choices (including na beer) Toast rewards as well! Will be back

Yelp
Love this place this was our third time going there in the last couple years. The food and service are always excellent and the ambience. Well, we love the view out back.

Yelp
Great seating options outside and in. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered a lot considering it was my birthday. We got the seared tuna to start, bloody Mary's, and entrees. The tuna was excellent!!! The food was very good in general with exception to the Cesar salad. The lettuce was not fresh but the server was quick and kind about making it right. We truly appreciate how they wanted to remedy the situation. I liked that they had tofu on the menu. They deep fry it which I wasn't expecting, but it was tasty. Tons of options on the menu and many nights of live music. They brew their own beers which we would like to try sometime. We recommend and would happily come back!
google avatar

Yelp
What a great brewpub!! We tried multiple beers which were excellent, blueberry wheat was the favorite. The food menu was huge and the food was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful building inside and out.

Yelp
What a great place to celebrate with friends and family, great food, amazing people! My wife's from Ludington and seeing her smile is worth the visit!

Yelp
When we went for dinner they were on a long wait but we found a spot at the bar to eat. We got a few drinks which were reasonably priced. I got a side MI cherry salad and the pecan encrusted perch and it was delicious. He wasn't that hungry so he just got a soft pretzel and said it was good. They have a great menu and the service is usually pretty good. We always come back here when in town.
google avatar

Phoebe W.

Yelp
The traditional perch and pecan coated perch dinners were delicious. Homemade kettle chips, fries and slaw were really yummy, too. Good beer menu. Warm greeting upon arrival. A/C cranked way too high. We were freezing. Busy on a Wednesday late afternoon. Server gave good recs.
google avatar

Kerry F.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience here! We stopped in for lunch before our campsite was ready and we're promptly greeted and sat even though it was busy. The whole menu looked impressive, but we decided to go with some light lunchfare. My pecan chicken wrap was perfect and my husband's fish sandwich was also very very good. We enjoyed the cheese curds, but wished there was more of them for the price point but still it was nice to see house made battered curds. We didn't get to sample much of the beer, but the ones we had were also very good. Overall, it was delightful visit, and we look forward to returning upon our next trip to Ludington.
google avatar

Scarlett C.

Yelp
Quick stop in, but amazing hospitality at the bar! We were on a bicycle trip down the west coast of Michigan and hit plenty of breweries on the way down. Happy to report that this was the best hazy IPA we had! I also had the strawberry wheat. Now that's an easy beer to get wrong, but they did it absolutely right. Easy to drink, not too sweet, refreshing. We didn't go out, but the patio looked great. From what I saw, they have plenty of live music on the weekends. Will go back if I'm ever in Ludington.
google avatar

Yelp
Food - 5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Value - 5/5 Amazing food. The perch was delicate and perfectly cooked with great flavor from the pecan crusting. We also got the beet salad which was light with summery and the spicy PBJ burger which was smokey and perfectly balanced with the peanut sauce and jam. Service was great, fast and friendly. Inside was like an old boathouse but well kept and somewhat modernized while keeping the old feel. We were surprised with the prices as everything was very reasonable if not on the low size. The beer menu offered lots of choices and the West Coast IPA was fantastic.
google avatar

Emilie B.

Yelp
My parents and I had dinner at the Jamesport Brewing Company while we were traveling. The food was great. The craft beer was different and really good. The service was excellent our server was nice and friendly. The atmosphere of the brewery was great it reminded me of home and other breweries.

Al H.

Yelp
Food is fine and we enjoy the beers, but kids portions are very small especially for the price. The Mac n cheese was barely half a bowl and only 2 pieces of chicken tenders. Both kids (4 & 6) had to share the second piece of chicken and left very much still hungry.

Shannon B.

Yelp
Incredible location, the food was unique and amazing, the patio was dog friendly and filled with activities for our kids. We loved the PBJ burger and the sweet potato fries. The service on the patio was great too!
google avatar

Missy V.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our lunch! The burgers did NOT disappoint. My son really liked the Mac & cheese. We all liked the noodles they use. The French fries are pretty darn good too. We will definitely go back. The staff was very friendly & attentive. The decor & ambiance was really cool. We liked the shipwreck pictures the best.
google avatar

Adam G.

Yelp
Great spot. Initially planned for a salad but Trevor convinced me to try the burger...PB&J to be exact. Great burger but the peanut sauce was indistinguishable. Burger was cooked a little more done than requested but was still good. Hefeweizen was a good pairing. Definitely worth the stop!

A S.

Yelp
Good menu, good beer, good service. I ordered the 1/2 of the Mac and Cheese and it was a good portion. We sat inside, by the front window, but there is also outdoor seating for warmer days.
google avatar

Yelp
The best part about our experience at Jamesport anytime we come in is when we see our favorite human being Julie McDonald. She is absolutely the heart and soul of this business and we couldn't be more thankful to call both her and her daughter Morgan our friends! The food and the service is absolutely fantastic. And the staff is always so kind and friendly. We will be frequently visiting this location for years to come. Thank you for always giving the best service and quality food. Keep up the great work will see you soon
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
Nice brew pub with good selection of beer. The food is above par for a brew pub with some. Dry creative combinations. PB&J burger; not what you think. Hand formed and grilled burger with peanut sauce. Bacon and habanero jam. It was great, and I'm still sweating. The salad selection was really nice combinations, berries and feta, cherries and blue cheese. My husband enjoyed the Ruben an the Ahi tuna was perfectly cooked and was a healthy portion. The outside deck was very comfortable, but there is a permanent sticky film on the tables that wouldn't come off.
google avatar

Dakota K.

Yelp
Was an okay spot, nothing special, and not a spot we will be back to. Had to wait to sit and that was totally fine with us but then service was super slow. Our server dropped our food off and did not check on us for 10 minutes while we had to ask the buss boy for things we needed. The food was okay, not amazing. Drinks were okay.

Mary B.

Yelp
Nice back porch. Creative, reasonable menu and prices. Would definitely go back! Service was attentive without being pushy. Would have like being offered more water.

Susan L.

Yelp
Been going to Jamesport Brewing Co since they opened. Always great food and service. Not sure what's going on. I know they have a new manager, but last several times we went there, food took quite a long time to get. This last time, we waited quite awhile for anyone to acknowledge us then had to flag someone down for drinks . Then after ordering food, we waited again quite awhile for food. I was sent the wrong item. Waited at least 20 - 30 minutes for my correct order while my husband was finished eating a while ago. Not a fun experience at all. Manager just apologized and sent us n our way.
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
Had an enjoyable lunch on the back porch. Beers were good, I think their Kolsch is a little too light, but very drinkable. I had the Perch dinner and the waiter was honest and told me it was not Great Lakes perch. It was the larger, less flavorful, ocean "perch". However, it was cooked perfectly and made for a nice lunch. Yes, as Jen states, it was not advertised as GL perch, but the brewery being on/near Lake MI, one might think it was.... And so I asked... Of course the more reasonable price strongly suggests it was not GL perch. Waiter did a good job! Again, the fish was still delicious. :)
google avatar

Kayla H.

Yelp
Beer and service is good. Food is overpriced for what it is. We got fish and chips, it was fishy! The French dip... tasted bland and very much like deli meat warmed up and a kids cheeseburger .. which out 5 year old enjoyed. Definitely over priced. But if you're just walking the town and need a good beverage, this is the spot!

Lori M.

Yelp
well, let me start by saying we've been coming here for years. This was the first time we asked for extra salsa for our chips and was charged two dollars for 2 tablespoons of salsa. Left a very bad taste and unfortunately I don't think we'll be back. Such a shame the food is great. We love the atmosphere, but this was just ridiculous.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
After spending time walking at Lake Michigan we decided to stop here to eat, drink and recharge. Our waitress was on top of it. Quick and had recommendations. Cajun chicken was the soup that day. It was really good. It was a cream based so I'd say it was more of a chowder. I had the French dip. Also very good. The home cooked kettle chips were amazing! I'd definitely stop here again! Oh and to the owners. Get that damn squeaky door fixed!! So annoying. If i lived close I'd go after they closed and spray the hinges myself.

KJ W.

Yelp
Big menu and great drinks. Stopped in after getting off the SS Badger and loved the food. Perfect little welcome to Ludington.

Valerie C.

Yelp
Delicious food ! Great service ! Everything I've had has been great. I highly recommend a specialty burger.
google avatar

Leila R.

Yelp
After a quick trip up to Ludington for a beach hike to the Big Sable Lighthouse, made a pitstop at this cute victorian-storefronted brewpub for a flight and a bite. The nautical decor was great, the reuben was delicious & I loved my beer sampler as my blueberry wheat actually came served with real blueberries! It was a perfect respite after a longer than expected hike along the shoreline in this adorbale town. Beers hadl Strawberry Hefeweizen 6% Blueberry Wheat (real blueberry floaters) 5.6% Weizenbock 6.8% Scottish Strong Ale 8.2%

Yelp
Ate at Jamesport after getting off the ferry. Checked in, got a buzzer and sat outside to wait for our table. Would have liked to have sat at the bar while we waited, but it was full. I think we were quoted a 15-20 min wait, and it only took about 15 to get seated. Once we sat down, everything went really quickly. Drinks came out fast, followed quickly by the soup and then our meals. My wife had the fish and chips which was very good. It was light and tasty made with a great beer batter. My Rueben was closer to average. Flavor wasn't bad, it's just that I prefer corned beef that is shredded, not deli type sliced and the meat was a little dry. We both ordered soups, I had the soup of the day (which was cream of mushroom) and my wife had the Cheese Ale. We liked them both very much. Even though food came out quickly, we had a really rough time getting refills on our drinks. Pretty much empty for most of our meal, even though we asked for refills a couple of times. Would have liked a friendlier waitress or at least a smile. Not sure if she was unfriendly.... More like she was shy. Restaurant (at least indoors) is pretty loud. It's a cool building, but the hardwood floors and high ceilings make for a lot of echo. Maybe ask for something outdoors if looking for something more intimate. Overall, enjoyed our meal. Would highly recommend any fish with their beer batter. Soups were good too.

Yelp
We ate at Jamesport Brewing Company tonight. The restaurant was packed. We were seated promptly. Our server came over very timely. My wife's margarita was okay because it was a bar mix with top shelf tequila. I had the Kölsch beer and the taste was great, but it was a little flat. We ordered Buffalo wings (6) and they were absolutely delicious, spicy like we like them. Several minutes later we were still licking our lips! We ordered the Spinach salad and a Caesar salad with blackened chicken. My wife raved about her Spinach salad. My romaine lettuce was all then ends on the head and very hard. Over 1/2 my bowl was hard pieces. The blackened chicken was delicious, but it was because they only discounted a $2.57 off the salad that I wrote this review as 3 Stars. Our server Leilani was pleasant and friendly. I should have sent the salad back to prove a point. Not sure if we'll come back with other options in Ludington for dinner.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
We ate at Jamesport Brewing Company for the first time on a recent trip to Ludington. We liked it so much, we ate dinner there twice in one week. We liked the atmosphere and the service was top-notch. While many restaurants in the Ludington area seemed to be short staffed, Jamesport was on point. During our second visit, there was a large group in front of us and the server was very good about updating us with the status of our food order. We weren't in a rush, so we were fine with the short wait. I ordered the same thing both times: the Lake Perch lunch portion. Yes, you can order a lunch portion at dinner! The lunch size portion included 3 perch, fries, and a side. The dinner portion included 5 perch, fries, and a side. I found that the lunch portion was the perfect size. The perch was so delicious! We will definitely visit Jamesport Brewing Company next time we are in Ludington.

Yelp
Food was really good. Service was very slow. Food was lukewarm. Had to go up to the bar to get another drink, after 45 min of waiting .app took 30 min to get out to us. Fried cheese curds which were Luke warm. People at the bar were served and eating at a decent pace. We drink IPA's and the beer was really good. Took us 25 min to get our bill that we asked for as soon as our food came.
google avatar

Sandy T.

Yelp
Pretty popular place for a monday night in the summer. One of the nicer views you can get dining in Ludington. It's not at the water, but you can get a distanced view of it from their back patio. There was a 30 minute wait but I passed time in their Biergarten which featured a sand pit for life-sized beer pong and large sized Jenga at the table. As far as food goes: * house salad - just as pictured * spicy cheese curds - were actually spicy. They had a kick that was definitely above midwestern spicy. I enjoyed them. * fish & chips - best I've had. The fish was delicate, soft & fresh. The thick tartar sauce was great. The fries were greasy, but good too. The service was pleasant. Would come here again.

Yelp
Great service , delicious and innocent flavors. We enjoyed the excellent ambiance. Cool sweatshirts too.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Pub delicious food with an abundance to choose from their menu, which is very extensive and very delicious! The bar always has great cocktails to offer fun place great atmosphere. We are new to Ludington and we are really enjoying going there!
google avatar

Jake L.

Yelp
Overt two hours to get seated, when there were a half a dozen tables open. When we were finally seated it took another 30mins to have a server stop by to ask what we wanted to drink! Food is good, but not worth that type of service

Jeff C.

Yelp
Great place! The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. I'll definitely try it again if I'm in the area.

Yelp
We have been coming to Ludington/Pentwater for 25 years and l am shocked that we only found this fabulous restaurant a little over a week ago. We have since been 2 times since! The staff is wonderful, the food is DELICIOUS! The beer selection is great! The only beer that they didn't have that I love when traveling is cream ale of any kind, I loved the double hazy ipa! As far as what we have tried so far: The Paesano Cheese Bread was so good! We don't eat a lot of bread and even though we knew we had our meals coming we couldn't stop eating it the amazing cheese bread. The Berry Salad was so delicious! You can get it as a side salad or full salad. Brewhouse French Dip was great, the Turkey goat cheese panini was fabulous! My family loved their burgers! The few times we have visited everyone is group has had great meals! We highly recommend!

Yelp
Last year when we were camping at Lundington, we did not get an opportunity to come here. Since this place was busy on a day that rained out any campsite cooking. Looks like all campers were at this place. So we decided to try them out. Right in downtown Lundington. Their brews were very tasty. We ordered a flight and all 4 were good; I would specially recommend the Hazy IPA or the Blubbery wheat. Service was really good and the place was great to sit - we were a group of 6. I had the sweet chilli aiole burger, my friend had the cajun chicken sandwich and another friend ordered the black bean burger. All good food, I liked my choice the best.

Mary Beth G.

Yelp
When we arrived, there was a long line of diners waiting for tables. The restaurant was packed. We had reservations and had a table waiting for us when we arrived. Service was very friendly but slow. Our server simply had too many tables to cover. We ordered perch dinners. The perch was delicious!!! The broccoli slaw was not. We love the atmosphere and vibe at Jamesport. They have a great bar and experienced bartenders. It's the best restaurant in town. We will be back.
google avatar

Camille J.

Yelp
Excellent cheddar ale soup, decent beer and ambiance in downtown Ludington. The staff was friendly and service was good. I would visit again, food was quality.
google avatar

Francoise W.

Yelp
Excellent service at the bar! I had the beer flight showcasing 4 smaller brews. The Hefeweisen is great and they also feature a blueberry wheat as well as an apricot beer. Bartenders were smiling and recommending items for the non local visitors. For appetizer I had the porc won ton with cherry bourbon sauce and it was fantastic, crisp, hot and the sweet cherry sauce complemented the salty porc. For main course I had filets of perch which is served fried but bartender accommodated me by serving them baked. It was served with hime made seasoned fries.

Yelp
Had great service, yummy food, and fun company here! Met friends from the past and enjoyed the afternoon at Jamesport! Can't recommend highly enough!!

Yelp
The workers were very accommodating to our large bachelorette party group. They were very willing to change our reservation and move things around for us. The food was really good and our waitress made us a priority despite being busy with other tables too!
