Excellent food and service but with a few things to keep in mind.
Ja!mon Ja!mon was a great meal. The salads were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced and honestly some of the best we’ve ever had.
The food overall was top quality, and the presentation was thoughtful without being overdone. Service was also a great. The staff was friendly, informative, and very accommodating with allergies, which we really appreciated.
The swordfish and sweet-and-sour salmon were both excellent. Cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and paired with sides that showed just as much attention to detail. Every dish felt like it had real care behind it, and nothing was rushed or generic.
One thing to know: the codfish in a clay pot is a traditional Portuguese dish. It’s not made with fresh fish. The cod is cured in salt for over a year, which gives it a very salty flavor and a dense, gummy texture. This is not a problem with the restaurant it’s just how the dish is meant to be. That said, it may not be for everyone, and it’s worth asking questions before ordering if you’re unfamiliar with it.
Prices are on the higher side, especially for lunch, but the quality and service make it worthwhile.
Everyone at our table enjoyed their food, and we would absolutely return. This place is a great choice if you’re looking for elevated Portuguese cuisine and professional service in a relaxed setting.
