Lovely authentic musuem both in summer and winter! They also organize markets once in a while, and especially their Christmas market is great. Great place to learn more about the history of Sweden and Jämtland

Cool place to visit, but could be more information and subtitles in English.

Wonderful place. Especially sommer seasons with authentic dwellers. Must see.

A must see for travelers. For a descendant of this region it was a joy to see the culture and history of my ancestors. The museum is very well thought out and executed, and contains much more than I had expected. Like almost everywhere, the staff spoke English and were very pleasant and accommodating. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

I went here in September and was pleasantly surprised by this museum. It was very large and had a lot of interactive exhibits for children and adults alike. I stayed for several hours and it was very cool to get to learn so much about this beautiful area.

For kids who speak Swedish a fun museum I imagine. The downstairs area is interesting but completely in Swedish, an app they have available has translations but only partly. Not all features available in Swedish are available in English or German. The national museum partly has English information alongside Swedish. If you enjoy looking at your phone just as much as looking at the exhibits this might be for you.

A bunch of fakes after your money. Money-making robots. I haven't seen anything like that. It's abnormal. An aberration, I'd say. The place is beautiful but it felt like my soul had vanished. It is really odd to not recognize humanity in humans. An unbearable void

One of the best out- and indoor local heritage museums in Sweden. It has something for everyone and is pure heaven for kids as they are allowed to take part in the exhibitions. The museum shop is well equipped with both fun and high quality products. During winter, except for holidays, the cottages in outdoor environment are closed, but there are beautiful paths to walk in the area especially when a lot of snow.
