Janice Wong: Chocolate & Desserts in Paragon | Singapore Delivery

Came here to redeem a birthday cake and chose the mango yuzu coconut cake which looks absolutely gorgeous. The shop also offers a lovely collection of chocolates that look so interesting. Overall, the cake was fluffy/creamy, and quite nice. There's a coconut layer in the middle that elevated the flavor without being overpowering. Quite nice!

Purchased a pack of Maple Pecan Cookies and a Box of 12 Christmas Edition chocolates. As usual I am amazed by Chef Janice's ingenuity with personal favourites Earl Grey Lavender Hazelnut Praline and Spiced Orange Salted Caramel. These would be perfect for Christmas gifting to friends and family.

We purchased online. The store assistant didn’t get us to check the condition at the point of collection. The boxes are extremely poorly designed by the packaging team - notably the koi fish is sticking out from the box and the packaging material felt soft. I opened up and to my horror, the koi were crushed since they were stacked (by the store assistant). Extremely disappointed with this first and last time purchase. [Update: Service recovery effort is commendable. Kudos to Charlene.]

I want to preface by saying service was great and not the issue here. The product itself was immensely disappointing. Last year, I received Janice Wong’s roasted peanut butter as a gift for lunar new year and it was the best thing I’ve ever had. I’ve been thinking about it ever since. It was nutty, buttery, salty, the right amount of sweetness, crumbled perfectly in my mouth… I was a huge fan. Now I don’t know if it’s a CNY exclusive, but I waited for this. I got it this year and it was a huge letdown. It’s just… sweet. Texture is horrid, taste is one dimensional - I barely get a hint of peanut butter or salt. It’s just sugar. And I bought a few tins to give out, so I was dismayed to find out after I had already gifted them that the taste had changed. I didn’t think I had to taste a sample because I didn’t think it would taste SO different. (I also had my invisalign on so that was not ideal.) For $30 a tin, I will not recommend this to anyone anymore. And suffice to say I will not be purchasing ever again, since everything else did not leave a lasting impression on me.

2026.2.13 Admittedly I do not have a sweet tooth. And am highly selective of my sweet stuff. When I first tasted these chocolates >5years ago I was intrigued by the creativity. Who can combine chilli with Chocolate or ginger flowers with chocolate? It’s playful and presentation is fantastic too. Sadly it ends here. Now, I realised, i don’t even consider these chocolates. It does not even remotely reminds me of chocolates. If I want chocolate, I want the real stuff not the play play stuff. Dark if possible. I want to taste those awesome cacao beans, not camouflaged by some strange flavours. Perhaps I have outgrown Janice Wong’s chocolates as I age. 🤔 Give me pure chocolate, not pure imagination.

Noticed the chocolate was crushed after opening it at home. The packaging cover was soft, causing the chocolate to be crushed by the boxes stacked above. it was initially planned as gift but it is wasted before i can gift it.

The opening hours need to be updated. My impression of this store is not pleasant. Difficult to order; staffs are not polite. Items are small but expensive. The only good thing is probably their cake design is unique but I guess will be outdated soon as they don’t change.

Such unique cakes… expensive but unique. The chocolate cake was really good! The gula melaka cloud looking cake was pretty nice as well but my preference is chocolate and this shop is about chocolates so good job! Good for special gifting and birthdays
