Ramen was great, but the sushi rolls were VERY LIGHT on the tuna and salmon.

The shoyu ramen was recommended as a less salty alternative to the salty ramen, but both were extremely salty. The tonkatsu ramen on the other hand, was pretty perfect. The sliced pork was a different cut and style than I was used to (this is apparently an Osaka style?) but it was quite good and the hard boiled soy marinated eggs were phenomenal.

White rice is the only thing good to taste. This is kind of food that would bring a real Japanese person cry. I cannot finish it and I cannot describe how I disappointed about it. I tried katsudon, all eggs were cooked solid (maybe they want to fit to the taste to the locals….) and it was too salty I feel uncomfortable with the sauce until now.

Passed this place hundreds of times on my way to the Bodegona. Finally my gf and I decided to stop in and eat dinner. What a wonderful experience! I had the tonkotsu ramen and my gf had the torikaraage. We shared an order of gyosas to start. Everything was so delicious. I spent a month traveling Japan a few years ago and this ramen rivaled any of those I had there. The broth was so delicious. This made me want to come back during the day and try the coffee. I did that today, and again was pleased. What a delicious cortado and reasonably priced at Q19. The service both times was excellent and friendly. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. Will definitely be returning to try more food. Thank you!

Great food, and great people too. We stopped by intrigued by the cozy atmosfere, little we knew that we were about to have a great experience, both with food and with the people working there too. The food was really good, we had vegetarian gyoza, both steamed and deep fried, vegetarian sushi and 2 different desserts, a japanese cheescake and a jelly coffee. The steamed gyoza had a very tasty filling, moist and with a pleasant aftertaste of ginger. The deep fried ones was a bit different, very tasty as well. Sushi was really good and desserts too. The Japanese Jelly Coffee dessert is not for everybody, you must like the consistency to really enjoy it, and I did. Last but not least, the Jamaica drink with hybiscus and cardamom was spot on, the hybiscus was predominant in taste, but the aftertaste and the aroma was 100% cardamom. Amazing. Now the cherry on top. It was our last night in Guatemala, and we had enough cash to pay little less than half of the dinner. We asked if it was possible to pay the remaining by card but unfortunately we had problems and we couldn't. Guess what, the guy there (if you read me, sorry I didn't asked for your name) said that because it was our last day in Guatemala, he would accept the cash and consider the rest as a present for us!! We felt so heartwarmed, but given the quality of the food and the generosity of the staff we flew to the closest atm and withdraw just the amount to pay the whole dinner. Highly recommended!

Visiting from California, this tiny restaurant has excellent ramen. Tasty and hit the spot. Friendly service and just three short blocks from the central plaza. They did close in the afternoon and reopened at 6:30 for dinner, and filled up quick! There are seats for only 16 people so we were fortunate to arrive at 6:10 to see they would open at 6:30, so we spent 20 minutes at the neighboring market and were the first ones to eat after they opened.

Most of the food we ordered was tasty, and we would order again. The sushi was not served particularly fresh or cold which is what we are used to in the USA. But it still hit the spot. Why not keep some plates in the fridge so they're cold when plated? The katsu pork dish was not attractive nor very tasty. The pork was over cooked and rubbery. The whole plate was dry and needed sauce and veggies. The ramen and the chicken teriyaki bowl were both very tasty. But the chicken wasn't served with any veggies, just rice and chicken. The sake was extremely expensive - a tiny portion for 40 Q. We complained and had one of the portions removed from our bill. They are serving sake from California for which we pay 52 Q, or $6.79 per bottle at the supermarket in the USA. I like this sake, but it is not worth 40 Q for a tiny portion. We had better luck at other Japanese restaurants in town.
