Great meal at this small little shop Run by 3 young owners But the meal was delicious. Wife enjoyed the wagyu beef. Generous portions. Fair priced Attentive waiters (can speak some english) Free parking lot Has only 10 seats. Make your reservations or come at odd hours 5/5 stars

An intimate atmosphere but not tight or stuffy. All seats face the chef(s) as the food and dish sets are prepared before you with precision and artful care. I love it the Unagi was fantastic. They provide in instructions on how to eat the dish in various ways and the ingredients were fresh and filling. Will seek this place again on my next visit to this area

We were fortunate to stumble upon this lovely little restaurant. We ordered both the eel and wagyu, and each dish was exceptional — crisp on the outside, tender within, and bursting with umami. The flavours were perfectly balanced. The three servers were warm and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout. With seating for just eight guests at a time, the atmosphere felt intimate and exclusive — a rare find that made the whole experience even more special

Probably the best unagi we had during our entire trip. Was a surprise find as we didn't intend to get a second lunch but the first lunch (barely counted as one) was so disappointing, and Fuji wasn't showing despite us climbing the hill, so this was a really great find. Was also very skeptical initially when I saw the ratings, but after trying it, definitely worthy. Lovely unagi hitsumaboshi dish in the Fujiyoshida town. The unagi was grilled so well with a crispy skin but soft, tender flesh and then cut right in front of you before serving. You are also given some slices of yuzu, which when paired with the unagi, gives each bite a slight citrusy tang to brighten up the taste. They had the wagyu option as well, but was not available when we went. Would have ordered the wagyu to try just to get a comparison. The staff were also very patient and helpful in addressing and guiding us in our dining experience.

The Unagi set is exactly as I remembered it. The taste no doubt is good. Service wise is ok, we went there at 11am so no queue, but the next couple were being ignored for a few minutes because the staff is cutting Unagi. It’s a bar table sitting that can hold 8 customers at the same time. The restaurant is renovated in a simple, light color wooden decor.

Both of the wagyu and eel with rice are very good. The setting is very Japanese and we enjoyed it very much. Long waiting time due to the popularity, so reservation is definitely recommended

An unforgettable experience - we arrived at 11:30 and had no queue. An intimate space where the staff are welcoming and focussed on perfecting their craft.

This cozy spot has counter seating for 10 people. The food was exemplary and delicious, especially so for the wagyu don. That said, the seasoning of the ochazuke dashi and the wagyu don sauce was quite aggressive and might be tuned for foreign tourists’ tastes.
