On a week's holiday to Menton I decided to visit this garden. From the town centre it is about a half mile walk along the promenade and a left turn by the Hotel Napolean. A short climb up the hill takes you to the gardens.
Entrance is by ticket and, from memory, about 6 Euros.
My wife and I spent 2 and a half hours following a well signed trail through wonderful exotic plants.
Information about the flora is posted at all the key locations, and a leaflet offered at the reception explains why the garden was inaugurated.
There are close to 1,700 species of flowers, bushes, and trees to admire. This includes a magnificent display of giant water Lilies.
It was very well worth the effort to visit this garden (we walked there but you can also drive of course).
If you have any interest in exotic plants then I strongly recommend that you take some time out to visit this excellent display.
