Delicious dinner, one of the best on our two week trip in Ecuador. Very nice and accommodating staff. You could tell everything was prepared fresh and cooked with love. The zucchini soup was especially delightful, best sopa del dia!

Had a wonderful dinner this evening. The food was excellent - everything tasted freshly made and the staff were extremely friendly. My wife had soup of the day (zucchini) and I went for the steak with a passionate fruit sauce. A nice twist indeed. Overall, a fantastic restaurant.

The food and service were excellent! We ordered the pepper steak and Moroccan chicken and both were delicious. Staff was exceptionally nice. Recommend to anyone!

We enjoyed a delicious French dinner here. The portions are large and reasonably priced. The pepper steak was phenomenal and the salad too!

Delicious, it is the classic homemade food that every bite you enjoy. Recommended onion soup, stuffed avocado, pepper loin and trout. The dishes are large and the garnishes very delicate. The staff is very friendly and the terrace transports you to another place. They should improve coffee and wine selection

One of the best restaurants we have eaten at, here in Ecuador and in the United States. We had the stew superb, Steak in Pepper sauce, tender and tasty. Definitely French Cuisine done very well. My daughter had traveled to Paris and she commented better than she had there.

I had the steak au poivre with potato gratin and it was exceptional. Contrary to some opinions, our food arrived quite quickly. The price was also reasonable at $12 for what was a massive entree of good quality.

We stayed in Baños for a few days and enjoyed the local food and culture. We asked our Ecuadorian guide to recommend a locally owned place for good food with a warm environment. Our guide said "Café Mariane" without hesitation. The food was delicious and the environment was cozy and romantic. It was nice to have a wood fireplace beside our table. The waiter was very friendly and we had a beautiful night. It's located right beside "Hotel Floresta" (also recommended) and it has an interesting/romantic entrance. I'm surprised this place wasn't packed but hope others find this hidden gem. Highly recommended by two foodie Canadians :) Santé.
