Jardin Secreto

Jardin Secreto is a fantastic hotel in a superb location in the hidden gem that is Santander. My host, Eneida, was so welcoming and provided a wonderful welcome and great recommendations for places to visit/eat. My room was beautiful and spotlessly clean and in a quiet, yet central location. It is also a great location for those, like myself, arriving by ferry. I will mostly certainly stay at Jardin Secreto when I next visit Santander.

Location was great. The room was clean and very comfortable with a lovely view of the garden. The host was very helpful in advising us on local eateries and places to visit, she certainly made our visit more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend for a stay in the lovely city of Santander.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in this great guest house. |Ene, who owns and runs it is so passionate about it and the city of her birth, you can't help it running off on you! Her friendly, helpful and engaging way (without being intrusive) was a joy. The room we had at the back was light, cool and airy, with REALLY comfortable beds and a great bathroom. You can make your own coffee in the communal hall in the morning, and the lovely bakery across the road offers a deal for those staying there. We had the best time in Santander (the beaches!) and the cherry on the top was our stay at El Jardin Secreto. I would stay there again at the drop of a hat.

Stayed for three nights and although the outside appearance is not great, inside is totally opposite, clean, immaculate, airy and light leading out to a peaceful sunny garden at the rear. Rooms and en suites are lovely and modern with fridge, safe and a powerful shower. We enjoyed fresh coffee each morning from our wonderful host and relaxed in the garden. Five minute walk to the centre of the city so convenient and handy. Will have no hesitation in using Jardin Secreto again on further visits.

Jardin Secreto Review|| ||El Jardin Secreto in Santander, Spain is our ‘home away from home’ – literally – when my husband and I visit his parents in this lovely Cantabrian port city on the north coast of Spain.  We usually stay a week or two. On a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from the center of town, El Jardin Secreto is perfectly located. Also – across the street, a fabulous pastry shop / café run by Rodrigo, and just a few doors down, the hip Colombian bar and restaurant “La Fonda” run by the delightful Marianne. One block away is Santander’s best gym – including a big lap pool and sauna / steam room. Really, the location can’t be beat. The hotel is charming – only 6 rooms – each with either a view of the lovely ‘secret garden’ or the front street. Eneida, the owner, is the perfect hostess: providing fresh towels in the morning, and coffee with sweets in the lobby. Each room is decorated differently, and in a completely contemporary fashion with little Spanish touches. The best thing (in my opinion): The showers – TERRIFIC: roomy with REALLY great water pressure, and shampoo and soap provided.  It’s reasonably priced and homey. You’ll love it.

Lovely room overlooking the garden, Jardin Secreto is an excellent place to stay in Santander. Charming host with lots of advice about where to eat and visit. Breakfast in La Marcelina opposite is delightful.

I booked in many hotels in my trips and this is in top 3 all the time. The rooms are very clean. The bed was very very comfortable. Every room has unique design. You can take a coffe/tea and a snack in the back garden.The host is extremely friendly and can guide you for any information you need. Thank you
