My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon last year and it was magical. Mario is an absolute delight- ask for a tour of the island, it’s gorgeous and you will learn so much from him! Food is fresh, delicious, and elegant, served by the amazing Stefano. We had to stay in Nosy Be for a couple nights (sorely missing Jardin Vanille the whole time) and my husband left his phone in the hotel. They brought it over for us first thing the next day. We love you guys!

I stayed here for 7 nights last week, with my husband and two teenage sons. I absolutely loved the bungalow we were in, with the way it was constructed in a traditional style - so much beautiful wood. The construction style means that the wind blows through the rooms, making them cooler than in a brick building. There was no air con in the bungalow (good, and I didn't expect there to be), but there was an electric fan mounted in the wall which we kept on a low setting at night.||It was wonderful to lie in bed with the doors of the bungalow open (we felt completely safe here) at night, listening to the waves lapping at the rocks below. Almost as lovely as sitting out on our little porch/veranda in the evening, sipping a cocktail and watching the incredible sunsets!||The lodge is built on the rocks above white sandy beaches, and there is some good snorkeling to be had at low tide when the coral reef is accessible. ||The village on the beach next door is fairly noisy, but in a good way - cockerels crowing, the odd dog barking, and plenty of children singing! It felt like we were part of something rather than having descended on an uninhabited island.||I must mention Mario and Stefano, both of whom were amazing hosts. Yes, Mario, everything is perfect! ||I don't eat seafood, so was worried about the lack of choice of food before we went, but I was catered for wonderfully and we all enjoyed the food. I particularly loved the hot tea and all the fruit for breakfast (which we shared with the gorgeous little green geckos!).||If I could suggest one thing to improve the lodge, I'd ask for cushions on the restaurant chairs, as after burning my bum whilst snorkeling the wood felt quite hard after a while of sitting 😁

We really enjoyed our stay at Jardin Vanille! We felt really welcome and being there enabled us to digest the experiences we enjoyed on mainland Madagascar. Perfect place and a lot to do! Diving, swimming with whalesharks, and visiting the forests and lemurs of Lokobe. Food and massages were very good too. Will miss the morning snorkel sessions on the beautiful house reef as well as the stunning sunsets. Will defintely come back here. Thanks for everything!

Jardin Vanille is one of the nicest places we've ever been. We wanted to get away from the noise and confusion of Nosy Be, and are so happy we choose to stay in Nosy Komba at this cozy bungalow hotel. It's the perfect place for relaxing, visiting some of the nature reserves for the beautiful surroundings and the animals (we saw black and mouse lemurs at the Lokobe reserve) and do some snorkeling among the corals, fish, starfish and turtles. We had bought the package through a travel agent (Dodi's Lemur tours), and had breakfasts and dinners included. The food and the service was excellent. There is a small and good selection of wines (French and South African), and excellent Rhum arrangé. Last but absolutely not least: the friendly owner and the dreamteam Mario and Stefano who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable is absolutely unforgettable. We are already dreaming of going back some time in the future, and we will definitely come back to Jardin Vanille, and warmely recommend anyone who wants a relaxing vacation to do the same. /Warm greetings from Monica and Giovanni

Breathtaking location, nosy komba is much prettier and less touristical than Nosy Be. Next to a very cute and authentic village you will find Jardin Vanille, a pearl with its clean, efficient and charming bungalows. Food is one of the best we have had in all Madagascar, served in a common room with full view on the sea. Staff extra friendly and always ready to help with a smile. They can also organise activities and excursions on the island and on the nearby islands. One small negative point: weak and unstable WiFi, but to be honest you will forget the outside world in such a paradise.

We had been touring Madagascar for the last three weeks and Nosy Komba was our last stop before heading back to Antananarivo and heading home.||We transfered to Nosy Komba from Ankify and it was a short boat trip.||We arrived at the beach and saw the beautiful resort and chalets on the hill above the cove. What a beautiful spot. There is a small village at the beach but the lodge is very secluded and quiet.||The staff were amazing and so attentive to all our needs.||There are only nine small chalets so it is a very small and intimate lodge.||We had a lovely chalet with two rooms (that was a surprise). One room had our bed, spare twin bed, desk, lots of cabinets. There was an additional room with two more twin beds. It was great because we could put all our luggage in the spare room and enjoy our space.||There was a porch in the front of the chalet where we could sit and look out to view the gardens and water.||The main lodge is below and where the bar and restaurant are located. The view from there is amazing. There is also an outside terrace overlooking the beach for lunch or breakfast.||The wifi is best in the main area but you don't really have much time to think about connecting to the rest of the world.||The main source of power is solar and generator. The power goes off in the evening and back on in the morning. It isn't a problem and you can charge batteries and phones in your chalet.||The food was excellent, lots of wine choices and excellent service.||We used the hotel to arrange two activities. One was a cross island hike. We left early and went up the mountain and saw all the local agriculture (vanilla, bananas, papaya, cacao, mango and more). One side of the island is much drier.||There are no cars or roads on the island so everyone walks to get around. It was a wonderful adventure.||When we arrived at the village on the other side of the island, there were lots of crafts for sale and we had an amazing lunch.||The next day we did a trip to see whales and the whale shark and also snorkel. That was great too.||They also will arrange scuba trips if that is your interest.||I would love to return and spend a week at Jardin Vanilla and enjoy the quiet and views.

This is the perfect place to relax after some hectic working months. We stayed in the suite and it was fantastic. The food was good and plentiful. We had massage almost every day and I think is was apx 25 EUR for 1 hour and soo relaxing. The wine and drinks was very good price apx 18 EUR for a bottle of wine and 2 EUR for a cocktail. There is as much or little to do, you choose. We'll be back some day.

In a very secluded part of the island, where you only arrive by boat, a nice luxury hotel with many amenities: light in the evening, hot water at all times and nice bungalows local style (which means open, but nice and with a mosquito net over the bed). The place is great. Right out from the hotel beaches where you can swim at all times and amazing snorkeling (almost better than the natural park nearby, and accessible from the beach!) good food with fixed menu at the restaurant. Quiet atmosphere. Possibility to go for excursions.
