For the price we paid, Jasri Bay Hideaway Resort didn’t quite deliver the value we expected. Honestly, we could have stayed at a really nice 5-star hotel nearby for the same cost. On the positive side, the food was genuinely delicious and beautifully plated, especially when served on the balcony of our room—a standout experience. The sunrise views from the property are breathtaking, and the constant sound of crashing waves adds a soothing, immersive element to the stay. However, the management and upkeep of the property left much to be desired. The resort’s wooden design gives a rustic charm, but it felt overly basic, aged, and lacking polish. Upon arrival, we found the room’s door lock and shower broken, forcing us to spend the first night in another room. The staff did fix these issues the next day and graciously offered free meals along with an apology. Though Jasri Bay Hideaway earned TripAdvisor awards back in 2019, it seems the quality has declined since then. We even had an unexpected visitor—a large but harmless spider—inside the room on the second night, which made us uncomfortable. The security guard did remove it promptly. This was our last stay of the holiday, and the experience has convinced us to end future trips in well-managed, branded hotels. While our experience may be unique, we felt it important to share these honest reflections.

Located at a remote beach. Nice "hideaway", with many creepy crawly flies at night. Service is good bcos of friendly staff. Great place if you love the sea, can hear the waves

Amazing accommodations- right on the beach, with the sound of waves as the only background noise. Quiet, private, peaceful, a great place to get away from the business of other parts of Bali. We stayed in a small bungalow, perfect for two people. Great service from the hotel staff and the food was delicious. Nothing beats a fabulous meal enjoyed on a private porch, overlooking the ocean. We only stayed two nights but want to come back for a longer stay next time we visit the magical island of Bali. A heartfelt thank you to the staff!

We came here for lunch. They don’t have a restaurant area so they put us on the deck of a villa on the water. It was so beautiful we stayed for dinner. The hospitality was lovely.

We stayed one night in the upstairs Neptune Suite, then moved downstairs for one night in the Mandala suite. Beginning with both a pro and con: this hideaway is situated right next to the public Pantai Jasri beach, which is a good thing because it provides access to a nice black sand beach. (The water directly in front of the resort is very rocky with powerful surf) The bad news is that the public seem to very often wander into the resort. This was especially problematic on Sunday evening. We attempted to walk to dinner at the nearby cafe, but our departure seemed to invite some locals in. First a pair of adults smoking, peering around, and taking photos. Then two more, then another six! We called the concierge who dismissed them, but overlooked several. We ended up ordering room service since we didn't feel comfortable leaving our possessions on the ground floor suite. I didn't even notice a friendly family of six had been picnicking at an unused villa until they waved goodbye after dinner! So at least fourteen trespassers that I saw. This probably wouldn't be an issue on weekdays. The room service food was quite good. I especially liked Komang's Famous Fish Curry, but be sure to order a side of rice to soak up the delicious sauce. The chef is very willing to modify recipes on request. We added grilled chicken to pesto pasta for one meal, also delicious. I wanted to like the shrimp with Balinese sauce, but I had to peel the shrimp myself which removed most of the seasoning and did not leave much to fill my belly. Of course the room service is pricier than local warung restaurants, as expected. The rooms were both nice, Neptune somewhat superior. I had the feeling of living inside a wooden treasure box. I especially appreciated the carved Chinese day beds. The pool was satisfactory but I wish it had a shaded area. Service was responsive and very up to par. Overall, quite good but a notch short of perfection.

Excellent villas! The food is good and reasonably priced. The Neptune sweet is very nice and luxurious. Wish it was a little more private from the beach but safe. Very remote so not super close walk into the village but you could rent scooters

We stayed 4 nights in Villa Kelapa and I kept saying "what a place" thousand times. We loved our stay. Perfect place if you want to get away from it all, be present and focus on your loved ones, or a book or whatever it is that you love to do. Felt like complete escape from the world. Villa Kelapa is charming, rustic cabin by the beach with private pool. It's wonderful to keep all the windows and doors open and have the fresh sea air flowing through. Fabulous to do some yoga at the deck, and watch the stars at night. And the waves at night- wow! There isn't really anything else around so if you're after peace and quiet and breathtaking views this is it. I was slightly concerned to stay so remote place with our 4 year old but it was wonderful experience for our family. We received so heartwarming service by all the staff, that we will remember our stay forever. Meals were made according to our wishes, freshest ingredients used. We have stayed in so, so many places in Bali but this one really stood out. I have returned there many times in my mind during these covid-19 months. Thank you so much for the lovely memories.
