Best coffee in Chester! Delicious batch brew and pastry on this visit. Stylish coffee shop with a great atmosphere and all the staff were friendly. Lovely to be able to sit outside and watch the world go by too.

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. I had the tomatoes on bread which was delicious and my partner had mushrooms on toast with a poached egg. The egg could have been a bit runnier. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The good quality cutlery and crockery is also nice to see. Coffee was delicious. A bit expensive but well worth it.

Great casual coffee shop with a laid back vibe. The staff are lovely and attentive, and the décor is clean and bright but with a rustic feel. The menu includes several plant-based options including a wide selection of sweet dishes, and they offer a fantastic range of coffees and teas available. A perfect spot for an easygoing brunch. I have tried numerous matcha in Japan and Korea , so wanted something similar as knowing UK matcha are not up to the Japanese standard , and this has prove my point, this is by far 1 of the horrible matcha latte I’ve tried because it tastes like lemongrass. Don’t think I’ll be back for anything else.

The store environment is very comfortable, making people feel relaxed and at ease. In terms of food and drinks, there is a wide variety of styles and options, satisfying various taste preferences. Came here for the first time in summer 2022 and had a great time visiting again this December 2024. The storm couldn't keep me away from a breakfast menu and coffee that's as fantastic as ever! Amazing service and made my toddler very welcome too.

I wanted to love this place but it left us disappointed. We visited early morning on bank holiday Monday. There was no queue and the server was polite. When asked to heat the croissants and pain au chocolates he said that would be fine. After 5 or so minutes they arrived from someone else at the table …. Cold. When my husband said we’d asked for them warmed she said they wouldn’t do that and with an undertone said they were fresh so didn’t need it. I like a warm croissant, regardless of how fresh they are. After another 5 minutes our drinks hadn’t arrived yet. Plenty of food had been organised for takeouts but there was more chatting and waiting around by staff that things being done. The guy who took the original order eventually made our drinks and we asked them to take out as we’d finished our food before they’d arrived. I was really hoping for a steaming cup of coffee and warm croissant for breakfast. Instead, cold croissants and dry mouths. Disappointed to say the least.

If you're looking for an aesthetic, instagram worthy cafe.. it's here! With copper accents and plants galore, it creates the most welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I'm always in here after I finish a shift in work, and am currently in love with the smashed avocado on toast. Don't even get me started on the peach iced tea! Totally recommend to all my friends and family!

Yes, its a lovely coffee shop. Yes, they have talented baristas who can make a good cup of coffee. Yes the interior is well done and the lighting makes it feel cosy and comfortable. Yes their branding is cute and effective. But my biggest gripe is how busy it is. Now this, for them, is not a bad thing. Great news to have so many customers that there's not a seat available. And that is not where the problem lies. I'm not annoyed at something out of their control. They can't make more space. However waiting nearly 15minutes for 2 takeaway espressos is a bit silly in my eyes. I feel positive that they have plans to open another shop... As at the moment, it seems that just can't deal with the sheer capacity of customers. Avoid if you're in a rush on the weekends would be my advice.

Why did the hipster burn his tongue? He didn't, because it took 15 minutes to get a drink after ordering it, and the order came out wrong! Ok, that joke may seem a little harsh (Also, it was terrible), but the wait was lengthy and the bearded coffee maker seems to have lost the passion for his craft slightly, as he seemed uninterested in customer relations. The positives: Great decor and ambience (Due to the mellow background music). This place is really filling a much needed hipster atmosphere, which Chester is short of. However, the vanilla latte had a very little to no taste of vanilla. This was after the 2nd attempt Also the cost compared to the size and quality of the drinks is pretty expensive. The other staff had a great attitude and its great to see a free water container that n the container in the corner. Its a good place, but could do better.

My weekend in Chester brought me to Jaunty Goat when needing a rest from walking around the city. It's a small coffee / tea shop with an inviting atmosphere. I ordered a red berry cocktail loose leaf tea - which came served in a lovely tea pot and the waitress explained that my tea would be brewed by the time the egg timer ran out. Nice. Neil C. went for an Areopress coffee, which took a while, but was spot on. We had a banana cake in here too - lovely. The sandwiches and other cakes looked great. I can imagine that the jaunty goat is popular mid week too!

Excellent coffee... :-) A trendy, very noisy place with hard bench seating that was not particularly comfortable - but we would return for the quality of the coffee and cakes :-)

I've been meaning to visit for so long now and I finally did yesterday and I had the tastiest coffee that I've ever had and the interior was just stunning. Can't wait to revisit in the week!

I had to add this place to Yelp in order to write a review on what an absolutely fantastic place this is, the staff are so friendly and the coffee is incredibly nice! I also had a turkey, bacon, cheese and cranberry panini, and unlike any other coffee shop I have been to this was stunning! Keep up the good work guys!! :-)
