Disappointing experience. Brought my friends from out of town here for coffee and lunch. Ordered a large and the young lady filled the cup halfway through. Asked her to fill it up to the top. If I’m going to buy a large coffee and pay four dollars for it, I would appreciate a full cup. So she filled it a quarter of a way through. Had to ask her three times to fill up my cup. Then the coffee was cold and bland. Asked her to heat it up. So she dumped half of it out. Asked her again to fill it up and the coffee was cold. After hearing so many rave reviews about this place I really can’t say the coffee is any good. It’s not even hot and on a day where it was -37 a hot beverage would’ve been appreciated. Ordered two bowls of soup for my friends at $11 each small sandwich at $15. Small slice of cheesecake at $11. Another large hot chocolate for seven dollars. Bought a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie for myself and I could not even taste the white chocolate or the macadamia nuts. Four dollars for the cookie ! Came up to a total of $62 for lunch. And it wasn’t even good. Completely overpriced. We’re talking Starbucks over priced but Starbucks is actually better. The seats were uncomfortable. And although the young lady was very agreeable with my requests, It’s common sense that when someone orders a large coffee, you don’t fill it halfway through. I don’t even put anything in it. I won’t come back. At this point Circle K coffee is better! Bad service ,food is mediocre and overpriced.

I don’t leave negative reviews so I’ll start with the positive. The service was amazing and the store was clean. We ordered hot chocolate and got colored water. We threw it away. It had zero taste. I saw the workers using a huge can of powdered mix and they didn’t use enough.

Discover Yellowknife’s Coffee Gem: Javaroma Gourmet Coffee and Tea If you’re looking for a cozy coffee experience loved by locals, Javaroma Gourmet Coffee and Tea is a must-visit. Open since 1996, this charming spot has been a staple for great coffee, tea, and sandwiches in Yellowknife. While the decor could use a refresh (just my opinion!), the food and drinks more than make up for it. My personal favorites include the chicken pesto sandwich and the ham and Swiss—both are delicious. For coffee, I usually go for a medium white chocolate mocha or French vanilla. Their hot chocolate and chai tea latte are also excellent choices for non-coffee drinkers. Art lovers will enjoy the local Yellowknife artwork displayed (and available for purchase) in the shop, adding a unique community touch. Before Starbucks arrived in Yellowknife, this was the go-to spot for gourmet coffee and tea, and it still holds its charm. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, Javaroma is the perfect place to grab a warm drink and a satisfying bite. #YellowknifeEats #JavaromaExperience

Good quality food and drinks paired with friendly staff. The ambiance is better here as compared to the Javaroma in the YK Centre. I recommend this place.

This café is a Yellowknife landmark located in the old town, and is frequented by locals and tourists alike. It's also located within walking distance of several hotels, and is conveniently open most days of the week. Their latté is tasty, and there is also a broad selection of sandwiches, bagels, soups and pastries available for dining in with ample seating inside. Service is quick and the staff are super friendly as well. Definitely recommend visiting for breakfast or lunch in Yellowknife throughout the day!

Nice place. Modern atmosphere. Feels a bit generic. The latte is surprisingly good and i like the fact that this place opens late. No complaints, yet nothing really stands out. This is a bit of a shame, as i would not have given it a second look in passing. This is a bit of a hidden gem. To nit pick, the coke fridge looks out of place.

Coffee is truly a delightful beverage that deserves all the praise it gets. The rich aroma that fills the air when brewing is simply irresistible, setting the stage for a comforting experience. Each sip offers a perfect balance of flavors, whether you prefer a bold espresso or a smooth latte. The warmth of coffee not only energizes your day but also creates a moment of relaxation, making it a great companion for both busy mornings and leisurely afternoons.
