Jaz Hotel Amsterdam

I've stayed at this hotel plenty of times and will always always always recommend it it's right across the Ajax stadium and right next to Ziggo dome it's a short walk from the train station and AFAS live 10/10 recommend but beware of the house keeping. At 9:40AM the house keeping banged on the door even tried opening it (thankfully I had the deadbolt on it) and screamed for me to get up and out in total panic I called the front desk whom send someone upstairs to come check bless the girl that came to help but when she asked the house keeper if she had seen someone the house keeper had the audacity to lie and say she had no idea about it? That's the only thing I'd complain about other than that like I said 10/10 the staff is amazingly nice and helpful and once I called they send someone right away the rooms are clean and comfortable if they have space for your event I'd book it

Hotel is located near Bijlmer ArenA, few minutes from metro station and train station. 17 minutes from the central station of Amsterdam. It’s great location to explore cities and towns in Holland by train. Checking-in and out were smooth. Room is nicely designed, with comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom was clean but shower is huge disappointment - you are handling (switching on/off and regulate temperature) by electronic buttons which were poorly working - water was off itself, jumping from warm to cold in few moments. You can’t regulate the pressure which was rather disappointing. There is free tea and coffee as well as water in the fridge. Fridge wasn’t clean and there was a half-empty bottle of water left by another guest… Room is not cleaned everyday. Even I booked cleaning on Sunday it wasn’t cleaned. Reception staff was friendly and helpful.

Modern hotel with bright, well-designed rooms. The beds are quite soft. Self check-in is smooth and efficient. Breakfast is available, though at EUR 22.50 it feels a bit expensive. For WiFi access have to sign up to their membership program (which is free)

I booked this hotel for 3 nights and ended up staying for 6 nights as flights cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. The hotel is nice and modern and cosy. The staff were friendly, empathetic and accommodating to our needs. The room was nice and clean, comfy bed and a lovely hot shower! We also used the sauna and it was heaven! It is close to quite a few shops and access to local transport into the city centre. I will coming back to Amsterdam and staying here again!

For a 4 star hotel it is at least repulsive. As you can see in the attached pictures, the room was in a 1 star hotel state - filthy no mater where we looked. Another thing you have to know is that they are "sustainable" meaning no water pressure, and with a malfunctioning idiotic button system which's only purpose is supposedly to force you to waste less water. Good luck with washing yourself while menstruating! When it comes to room complimentary items, the coffee machine didn't work and 1 of the tea packs was empty...also the existing teabag was out of nylon and that , at least to me, proves how much they really care about the environment.... The breakfast was ok. We really liked the fresh omelette ! The personnel didn't inform us upon arrival (neither did the H REWARDS Corp. ) that we had to pay for our breakfast at the spot or else we would be charged to the "full" price when checked out. Luckily the girl in frond desk fixed it last minute, so thank you for that! In general, do yourself a favour and look for alternatives. There are plenty of other hotels in the area with a far better rate.

We were very satisfied with the architecture and design of both the hotel and the rooms. Visually, it is a very charming and stylish hotel. They have tried to make full use of modern technological facilities. We did not get 100% efficiency from the sauna, but it was still enjoyable. The hotel being a bit far from the city center can be considered a disadvantage. Other than that, we were satisfied with both the staff and the services provided. In terms of price, it can be considered a bit expensive. Especially considering the prices we paid for the hamburger and beer at the hotel, it felt overpriced. However, despite this, we were generally satisfied with the hotel overall.

Amazing rooms! Loved the fact that there was a sauna (available from 3pm onwards). Friendly staff and good location. Breakfast is on the expensive side but it is a buffet - and was worth it if you ate your fill! It is only 20-30 mins from the centre so perfectly located. Had a great time there. Will definitely come back.

- comfy mattress, pillows were also very good, though quite firm. - room was quiet, even though it fronted onto the entrance/exit to Ziggodome. No noise as concert goers were leaving. - black out blinds have seen better days, and several in the room need to be replaced as they let light in due to wear and tear. - there is no phone. Instead, as part of a series of odd design choices, the "phone" is accessible through a tablet in the room, except joke was on us, the tablet didn't work so there was no way to call reception or for room service - the shower... what an awful thing to deal with. Unbelievably controlled with touch buttons that only work if you pretend you are giving them CPR. And even then, you had better be strong!!! - the design of the shower meant the drain was concealed by a large tile. There is a narrow gap all around the large tile to allow water to escape. The gap was filthy, sludgey, slimy, black. It appeared to have never been cleaned. The grout in the shower was also in bad shape in the lower half of the shower. - the bathroom floor was heated, which was very nice. - the heating for the rest of the room was inexplicably done on a 1-4 scale... ie you can increase or decrease the temperature in the room by 1, 2, 3, or 4. 1 what? Unknown, could be 1 degree, 1%, 1 some other random #. Who knows. There was no explanation. - internet functioned well. - breakfast was extremely basic. Very little in the way of options, especially compared to other European hotel breakfasts. The orange juice was not fresh. They did not have a good selection of breads. - staff were either genuinely engaged or did not seem to care at all. A strange combination. - rooms were very dimly lit. Hard to do makeup with so little light. Frustrating. - I personally did not enjoy the theme of rockstar being pushed at every turn.
