Jaz in the City Vienna

What was good: 1. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area. 2. Spacious and comfortable rooms for two. 3. An excellent breakfast — outstanding value at €19 per person if booked a day in advance. 4. The bed, pillows, and linens were exceptionally comfortable. 5. The design is interesting, modern, and has a fresh, youthful feel. Maintenance could be improved: 1. By the end of the day, the sauna area was cluttered with dirty glasses and used towels left around. 2. The heating system in the rooms is weak. 3. There is no phone in the room to contact the reception. 4. The elevators are slow. 5. Bathrobes for the sauna must be requested rather than being provided automatically. 6. Daily room cleaning is not automatic and has to be specifically requested.

I stayed at Jaz in the City Vienna, and I couldn’t have asked for a better location. The hotel is right in the heart of Vienna — everything is within walking distance: about 10 minutes to the Museum Quarter, 5 minutes to the main shopping streets, and there are several supermarkets nearby. They even have a rooftop bar with great views, perfect for a relaxed evening drink.I was lucky to get a room on a higher floor overlooking a quiet garden and the spires of nearby towers. Every night I slept like a baby, and every morning I woke up to a view that filled my eyes with joy — a truly peaceful start to the day.The staff truly made my stay memorable. John (or Johann, as they’d say in German) was incredibly kind and helpful — he even hand-wrote local insider tips for bars, restaurants, and famous Viennese dishes. The reception team, including a lovely young woman and a gentleman, were equally welcoming and attentive. They really made me feel at home — a true “home away from home.”The room was stylish, modern, and full of personality. I especially loved the musical touches — there’s even a disc player, and you can borrow vintage records from the lobby, which adds such a fun, nostalgic charm.If I had to mention a couple of minor issues, the water pressure in the shower wasn’t always stable, and housekeeping could definitely improve. If the housekeeping matched the reception’s outstanding service, the hotel would be absolutely flawless.Overall, I highly recommend Jaz in the City Vienna — so much so that I’ve already booked my stay for next spring. I can’t wait to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent two-night stay at Jaz in the City Vienna. The hotel promptly responded to our questions sent before our arrival. We were pleased to be able to check into our room early and appreciated the warm welcome and efficient check in. Our room was perfectly clean and well appointed. Happily, the bed was very comfortable, too. The hotel is very close to a metro station and within easy walking distance to shopping and museums. We were very impressed by the selection and quality of the food available at the buffet breakfast, including made to order eggs. We would happily return to Jaz in the City Vienna.

Brilliant hotel with the coolest staff. The rooftop bar is well run. The drinks served were well mixed to the correct ratios (Aperol Spritz) quite unusual in our experience. Breakfast was very nice and we can definitely recommend the omelettes cooked to order. There is a vinyl record collection by the reception which is stocked with a few classics. A record player is in the room to play these. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We liked a lot staying in this hotel. Rooms were spacious, light full and cozy. In the room you have vinyl players and it gives extra cozy atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and polite. Dog friendly hotel.

The hotel was really nice! The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a bit dim. What we really liked and appreciated was the professionalism of the receptionists. They were quick to respond and always ready to help with everything. Compliments to them, and thank you for such a pleasant stay. We would definitely come back!

I enjoyed my three nights stay at the hotel. The location is fantastic, surrounded by bars and restaurants, a few minutes walk from two metro stations and Mariahilfer Straße. The room was convenient. Too bad the casting didn't work well on the TV, but this is more or less my only complaint about the room. Service was kind. There is a rooftop bar which is nice.

Great hotel , amazing staff , excellent location. Rooftop bar has a great vibe , staff are so nice . Special shout out to Alex on Recption. 500m from underground. Hotel is a little different to main stream hotels . Breakfast was very good , great choice . All cooked fresh . Loads of variety. Wallpaper needs a bit of attention in 709
