"Jazzhole is a bookstore and music shop located on Awolowo Road in the affluent Ikoyi district. It's a place to sip coffee, scan the eclectic collection of fiction and nonfiction titles, and listen to music like 'Rhythm of Love' by '70s Nigerian funk band Blo. The shop is a good spot to meet people and have deep conversations, offering a rare moment of silence in the bustling city."

We love the Jazzhole! It is one of our favorite places in the entire world. During our 3-week visit to Lagos we stopped at the Jazzhole 3 or 4 times. Luckily for us, we were there for the release and screening of the Faaji Agba documentary. We left inspired and are so grateful to have been able to bring home with us books, records, and fond memories until we can visit again.

Cool place if you are a fan of books and music. I got some vinyl records. There is also a tiny cute cafe inside that I’d love to try

Wish I could have spent more time there but it’s a beautiful haven in Lagos, filled to the brims with a variety of printed matters, vinyls, CDs, etc. They cover a wide variety of subjects, fiction and non-fiction with international and local authors. We couldn’t stop to try the food sadly but would have loved to and would love to come back for an event.

If you’re driving here you had better keep an eye out for the shopfront. It’s easy to miss. Once you get past the narrow doors, a world of stuff just overwhelms your senses. Since I wanted to visit this place looking for Fela Kuti vinyl, I’ll just say I was happy I found what I was looking for but sad with the outcome of my discovery. Firstly this place is unfriendly. I looked like a fool trying to figure out what’s what and where’s where without anyone assisting me. I gave up after half an hour I approached the one girl who looked like a staff and asked for Fela Kuti records. She bore an uninterested disposition this whole time. Without a word (from someone whom I guess gets asked this a lot) she bends over and hands me a stack of them from behind the counter. I counted at least 8. Sadly they were all in Fair or Poor grade. Both for the sleeve and for the vinyl itself. Shockingly when I asked for the price it was all USD100.00 each. Not a hint of wanting to bargain either. As excited as I was I wasn’t desperate. If the grading was better I would have paid for but then when the sleeves were in 2 pieces, nah. No way. And with that disappointment, I left and this ended my little adventure in Jazzhole

First time here! It was interesting I also enjoyed reading with my carrot cake and fresh orange juice… although there are loads of options on what to choose from opting healthy living is paramount.

Small, intimate space with vast tea & book choices. Snooping around the book & vinyls is fun.

A place for books and culture. They also have coffee. Jazzhole is not like any random bookstore. It's a vintage book space that sells new and old and perhaps used books and records. You can get Fela's vinyl records here. My bad experience - They don't stick to the opening time. We got here at past 10:00 AM on a Thursday, but they weren't open yet. We phoned, but the voice that came on was a disinterested voice, which made me wonder if we were in the right place. The location might also be a bit hidden for first-timers, but the map will take you to the right place. It's just beside the pharmacy. The customer attendant later returned our call in the afternoon, still sounding indifferent and lacking the enthusiasm that was reflected in our voices. I was disappointed and did not want to visit again, but we thought, what's the worse that can happen? Glad we eventually visited. I think customer service needs to improve, or perhaps the attendant woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day.

Great nostalgic space. Takes you waaay back to those times when music records were on vinyl. The smell of old books and old records, browsing through them brings back sweet memories The owners were very pleasant and friendly and a thirty minute pop in became a three hour visit. The coffee shop and bookstore are a great addition, giving a welcoming feel to this timeless place.
