CASH ONLY both for entrance tickets and for food&drink. Be forewarned, we were not and had to budget less than we would have liked to spend. A very cool vibe, food was fine but not the highlight of the evening. Seating is very tight, we arrived 45 minutes before showtime and had limited sight lines to the stage.

The best jazz live show ever at the best jazz club. Ever. Beautiful. Powerful. Magical. ..oh and yeah, the famous schnitzel was the best I've ever had and those potatoes with parsley and the white onions sauce..delicious! But the music, the atmosphere, the synergy. That's the thing. Hope to come back as soon as possible to experience another incredible night. Thank you Dan, Jon-Erik, Scott, Danny, Erwin, thank you Enzo, and Dora, and thank you Michael, Hannah,.. thank you all guys! Till next time.

Went for my birthday on a Tuesday night and was the perfect way to celebrate! Group of 6 and came before 8:30pm so we were able to get the last few seats - show starts at 9pm so make sure to get in before then if you’re in a big group (no reservations). We paid 18 euros in cash for the entrance fee and it was cash only for drinks and food inside as well. The place was suuuuper cool and definitely one of the best jazz clubs I’ve been to with its rich history and clear respect for the art.

Really nice place. Each set is around 45-60 minutes, with 30 minute breaks. Live performances every night from 21:00 but closed on Sundays. Be prepared to have a plan B because it can get very full and large groups are likely to be turned away if you come late. There is an entrance fee. The woman accepting new customers is very kind.

Had the most magical night in Vienna. The food, the music, the place… everything was amazing. I would even go there just to have dinner. Truly a wonderful place

Wife and me googled jazz clubs in Vienna and decided to visit Jazz Land (12/5/25). We regularly go to a jazz club (Scotts) in Belfast so expectations were pretty high. Right from the start we knew we were in for a treat. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem and table service was 100%. Food was tasty and portions were huge (we had the Schnitzel). The music was great and musicians were first class. Afterwards we chatted with the staff/barman who served us. He was super friendly and was delighted we came. It was one of the highlights during our visit. So if we ever return to Vienna, Jazz Land will be top of our list. Value for money? Absolutely! Thanks guys for a fantastic evening. Sam & Dot p.s - some of the worlds jazz legends have played here so that says it all!! 😊😊

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Jazzland, and it was such a great experience. The cozy cellar setting gave the place a timeless, old-school vibe ;)

Google
THE spot for Jazz in town. Been around and only seems to get better with time. Unbelievable. Somehow this place has the best Schnitzel (pork) in town. And the music is world class. Of you enjoy jazz, great hangout that is totally worth the price of admission.

Yelp
The best...maybe the only Blues club in Vienna...no a/c and the blues was smokin - great dive!!!

Yelp
My husband and I have visited twice on our most recent trips to Europe and we had a phenomenal time both trips. We stumbled upon this in 2018 and there was no room at the inn. The owner's son said we could try and find a seat so I ventured in on my own. Welcomed to the owner's table with such love and hospitality. My husband joined me across the table, which was fantastic as we got to meet our fellow jazz friends. Great music, great drinks, great atmosphere! Get there early because it will be packed!

Yelp
Great music. Great venue. So happy we checked it out! From the outside we thought it had closed down, graffiti, overgrown grass, no life outside the venue, made us think it was no longer. We were wrong! Inside a different story, like an exclusive jazz club, such amazing music, great sound, talented musicians, historic cool old brick lined building (and bar)! They've been playing jazz there since 1972! I feel lucky I got to be a part of it.

Yelp
Superb night here with amazing music. This is everything a great Jazz bar should be. Never a better jazz experience.

Yelp
I had the most amazing night here. The music was fabulous and the staff were so polite and gracious. We had a fabulous talk with the band and will definitely be back. I am looking forward to sampling the food as it looked most appetising and if I remember correctly you can have chocolate for dessert. They even told me I can bring my dog along next time. Honestly a very lovely place to visit.

Yelp
This is a very tourist venue. Get that straight, get over it, and go have some fun. I completely recommend it for some great music in really cool-looking underground subway chamber-like rooms. It was packed to the gills, but our party of 14 took the seats completely out of view of the musicians with a lame mirror that everyone's blocking. With those seats, still getting charged full price bites, but they're counting on us the tourists to still pay up, and we didn't disappoint, since one of our guys really wanted to see Kevin Mahogany, who's from his home town. We could still hear the music just fine, and the advantage of being there turned out to be that we could talk to each other. Bar service was fine, everyone was courteous to us. We had so much fun, and will return when we visit again.

Yelp
I disagree that this is a tourist stop. We were there on a Friday evening and I believe we were the only non locals in the place. This place is located underground in a 19th century tunnel. No smoking! Given that, seating is limited, but the doorman waiter found seats for us in the main area. We thought they were taken, but the staff keep track of who comes or goes. Band was good with pictures on the walls of very notable jazz people who have played there. Look over the pictures and spot identifying pictures etc in the background identifying the locale. A 5 e per person cover and reasonable Brau prices was surprising given the music. Will definitely return. Older crowd

Yelp
Vienna's subterranean Jazzland combines exposed brick, hints of community centre functionalism, gruff fleece-wearing staff and simple if fairly-priced food and drink to offer up a genuine if no-frills jazz club experience. As such it rather reminded me of a cross between the Vortex and 606 in London. I wasn't a huge fan of the music on in the night we visited, which featured a lot of scat singing. I appreciate some like this style, but here the accompanying air guitar-plucking seemed to verge dangerously close to unwitting self-parody - Jack Black's Rock God posturings from School of Rock came all too easily to mind. Still, it was a pleasant enough place and I'd certainly return if in Vienna. As a resolutely egalitarian yet unpretentious venue it's more Vortex than Ronnie Scotts, but that's quite refreshing sometimes.

Yelp
Great little club tucked away in a cellar under a church near Schwedenplatz. Home cooking on stage and in the kitchen made for a pleasant evening.
