Definitely recommend to see Nina! She is super friendly, supportive, and trying to give you the best deal! I went in about 10 mins before the store closed on Sunday, so Nina told me about the current deal with Telstra and her working hours on Monday for me to comeback. When I saw her again on Monday, she really wanted to spend time with me and try her best to support me. I love how she build customer relationships and royalty. Will come back next time! 💙 I got my iPhone 16 Pro Max here with Telstra mobile plan - $99 per month, 24 months contract, $1100 voucher off. I also traded in my old phone. Overall, I love how dedicated and supportive Nina is.

Love JB Hi-Fi City on Bourke Street! It’s got everything you need – from tech gadgets to movies and gaming gear. The store is well laid out, and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. I live in Sydney and am here for a short break, and I went into the Bourke St Melbourne CBD store yesterday - Saturday 10/01/26 - and was served by the very helpful, patient and knowledgeable Florian. The level of customer service I received from him is up there with the best I’ve ever experienced, anywhere ever. He was so efficient, friendly, just lovely to deal with and clearly knows his role very well. What an asset to your team. What a fabulous experience,

They had the thing I went to buy. I hijacked a sales assistant who helped me. He asked me a weird question I didn't understand, so I asked him what he meant. He didn't answer, but took me to the part of the store where the SSDs are. They had the one I wanted but it was marked $149, when on the internet it was advertised as $129. He allowed me to check on my phone and then agreed to let me have it for $129, after checking my phone. Good service? Not really. Okay service? Better than last time I was in a JB Hifi.

Very disappointing shopping trip! Half of the items ‘on sale’ don’t seem to be in stock in any store locations in this country and none of the ‘in store only’ items are available either. I feel this chain baits people to come to their business to purchase these items and then are upsold more expensive versions.

Best JB store experience ever! Forgot to grab his name, but the team member at the DJI section was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and went over and above with helping me with my price match and finding stock for me in another store close to my home. Really took his time, very understanding and all-round 10/10 bloke

They have a whole store but no branch ever has anything you want. Like seriously? And you have to wait 30 minutes just to ask a question or get assistance from a staff member? Especially in the CBD the staff has so much attitude? Like what did a random customer ever do to you? I'm just at a store where I am trying to find something and once I do, in a second I' ll be out of your way. And they're always like "we had this in stock but it's been stolen" ????? Like be so for real? That happens everywhere but in your store it happens the most??? They have whole ass big strong security dudes standing at the entrance, where is that security when things get stolen and actual people who wanna pay can never buy what they want because the store sucks and they never have anything. Such a big store and it's like go on girl give us nothing why even have stores at this point you never have anything anyway Oh and the Bourke Street store is THE WORST

JB HiFi Bourke Street - Melbourne. I will never shop at JB HiFi again after the appalling service I received today when dealing with the Store Manager Patrick. I had had a price match approved by your online team (I am a business customer and they were matching an existing business discount) and Patrick picked up my call mid way through a conversation with a VERY FRIENDLY sales assistant and decided that he wouldn't be honouring what had already been approved by the JB Business team AND the JB online team and although he could see three different invoices that had been issued with the discount, decided he was the messiah of JB HiFi and the overall decision maker for the whole company and he would not be honouring the deal. For a store manager, Patrick had absolutely no customer service skills, was combative, rude, continually spoke over me and cut me off and would not listen to what I was trying to explain even though it was shown on the three invoices he was able to look at. As a result of this I will be taking my business for this purchase and ALL other future purchases for myself and my business elsewhere, even if I have to pay full frieght on the products to ensure that I am treated fairly and with respect.

Melbourne is lit up by a few of these yellow stores. Jb Hifi is a company that prides itself on the 'bargain' shopping of electronics, CD's, DVD's and more. JB Hifi is always the first place i go to when something is needed, but what differentiates this store to the others is the lack of customer service. On many occasions i have come to JB on Bourke to grab some PC Accessories and i have never had anyone say 'hello', let alone help me with something. A tad frustrating as well is that they only have one or two counter staff on to process your items at check out. This store is usually busy and having to wait in line for 10 minutes is not fun (Sure, i might sound over the top), the other stores on Elizabeth street will see you check-out in a couple mins if not straight away.

If you're after cheap electronics, CDs, DVDs and vinyl, look no further. JB is like some mega-supermarket of all things home entertainment and packaged in yellow and black. The staff are ok when you can find them, but you're best going about the shopping alone if possible because they're not the most accessible or knowledgeable. I've never bought electronics here but I do like browsing in their music and film section. They've got tonnes of stuff and most of it is either cheap or heavily discounted. Needless to say, you will probably come away with more stuff than you intended to buy unless you come in here knowing exactly what you want and are strong-willed enough to ignore the rest. Good luck with that.

I would normally give this place a 5 but I'm pretty pissed off that I just wasted $90 on headphones that were so shit I had to buy another set less than 1.5 hours later. I asked for advice and pointed out I had never used wireless ones before. Was told 2 brands I was looking at were much the same. Would have been nice to know the volume and bass were both low. Either the dude didn't know or didn't care.

Jb Hi-Fi is almost boringly good at what it does. Selling a dizzying array of electronics at - ostensibly - unbeatable prices. I spent two days researching a recent camera purchase and, predictably, ended up heading to good ole Jb Hi-Fi on Bourke Street to make the purchase. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, prices really are brilliant and the selection is insane. It's also worth noting that Jb Hi-Fi is amenable to a bit of haggling. I managed to score 10% off a recent purchase without too much hassle and this is in spite of the fact that Jb's prices are already about 10% below the competition's. My one qualm? I had almost got said camera home when I realised the sales assistant had given me the wrong colour and instead of having a sleek matte black camera in my hand I had one in a garish shade of McDonald's red which needed returning post haste. Apart from this simple error? Excellent. And the sales assistant was as apologetic and helpful as could be. Great all round.

Visiting from Canada, we were introduced to JB by an Australian colleague - we LOVED the service we received at 2 different stores in Sydney, so thought we'd continue to shop at JB in Melbourne .... apparently, the stellar service does not translate from Sydney to Melbourne ... we bought a prepaid sim for a mobile hotspot but once we went online to look at the plans, we decided we could do better. We tried to return the sim the next day (Black Friday craziness when we purchased, so thought we'd let the crowds calm down) and we were told we only had TWENTY MINUTES to request a refund, even though the sim was not activated .... no manager would come to speak to us and they told us to go online to Belong (a div of Telstra) to request the refund .... Belong would not refund to us on a CAD credit card or bank account - so we went back to JB Hi-Fi to see if they could help further - it seemed hopeful but the promised call did not come and when we called to check the manager who promised to call was on a day off (wouldn't he have known that when he promised to call???) .... thanks for nothing JB HI-Fi ... our CAD credit card is good to give you money but not to get it back? BTW, we bought the mobile hotspot at this store too (netgear $336) so it's not like we only paid for the $40 sim - we will not be shopping here again

If you like cheap, mainstream DVDs this is the place for you! They don't stock a great range of art house if that is more your thing, but there are other stores in Melbourne that can help you out there. They are however perfect for Christmas presents and often have 3 for 2 sales. The customer service is average, but you can haggle on the prices!

Pretty good for what they are. Albums are generally a decent price, and if you are looking for any sort of popular music this is the first place I would suggest to look. Terrible vinyl selection though if you are looking for anything that isn't The Beatles

I had a DVD of the King And I on hold for me to pick up on Sunday. Nice of them to hold it for me, and when I got there they found it under my name and gave it to me straight away. The PROBLEM...... They didn't unlock the DVD case. I now have to go back for them to slide it through their machine to unlock the case so I can watch the DVD. It cost me $13 for the DVD, $12 for public transport and it is now going to cost me another $12 transport fee to go in for them to unlock the case, let alone the 3 hour return comute to et there. All up it has cost me $37 for a $13 DVD. How inadequate and unprofessional of them. They sell thousands of DVDs every day and they forgot to unlock the case of my DVD???? Will be going tomthe Ombudsman about this if they don't compensate me.
