We visited this restaurant for the first time. We had just gotten home from our Anniversary trip and was looking for a restaurant for dinner that wasnt too far away. I quickly made reservations earlier that day and received confirmation and a reminder text. We walked up to the greeter and told him we had a reservation. The greeter could not find our name on his list, so I showed him my confirmation and he said it was fine he would just seat us. At that moment I was slightly disappointed because in the reservation I added that it was our Anniversary, and perhaps the table could have already been setup, just something nice for the hubby. Well once we were seated and greeted by our waitress, I told her it was our Anniversary and she then placed a rose and a happy anniversary card on our table. As we started looking over the menu we were slightly disappointed only because we had been talking about what we had a taste for and it wasnt on the menu. I hadn't done any research so that's my fault. HOWEVER, we both decided to order the beef tips, WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL! The food was very good and seasoned! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We were planning to order the carrot cake to go but our waitress insisted on bringing it out and then boxing it up. We'll she wanted to add a little presentation with it! It was very nice of her and we appreciated her taking the time to write out happy anniversary on the dessert plate. Overall, I personally didnt feel like the ambiance was a Anniversary dinner setting, I felt over dressed. But I will come back again dressed down and enjoy the great service and food.

I had the blackened swordfish and it was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere. Excellent service and a great first time dining experience. Love it. Will definitely be back to try more!

Very disappointed with our visit. This was recommended by a few people and we were really looking forward to going there. The calamari was just OK. I had the lamb burger and the flavors didn't really mesh well. The wife has the chicken bella and it was very under seasoned. Service was hands down the worst part of the experience. I unfortunately will not visit again.

A friend and I went on a Saturday evening. I had chicken Milanese, and it was delicious. My dessert, creme brulee, was good, but I would skip dessert next time. My friend had bread pudding, which was dry and not great. The waitress offered to replace it, and removed it from the bill. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, food was good, and I would definitely recommend it. My total portion of the bill, with wine, appetizer, dinner, and dessert, with tip, was about $80.

We decided to try this restaurant for the first time after returning from our anniversary trip and wanted somewhere nearby for dinner. I made a reservation earlier that day and received both a confirmation and reminder text. When we arrived, the host couldn’t locate our reservation at first, but after I showed the confirmation, he seated us right away. I was a little let down since I had mentioned it was our anniversary in the notes—it would have been nice if the table had been prepared with something special for the occasion. Once we were seated, our waitress turned things around with her kindness. After learning it was our anniversary, she brought over a rose and a card wishing us a happy celebration. While looking through the menu, we realized it didn’t include the dishes we’d been craving, but that was on me for not checking ahead. We decided to try the beef tips instead, and they turned out to be excellent—flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Our waitress was attentive, polite, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. We originally planned to take our dessert to go, but she insisted on bringing out the carrot cake first so she could decorate the plate with a “Happy Anniversary” message before boxing it up. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that really made us feel appreciated. Overall, while the atmosphere didn’t quite match what I expected for an anniversary dinner—I definitely felt overdressed—the food and service were outstanding. I’ll absolutely come back again, maybe dressed a little more casually, to enjoy another great meal and the wonderful hospitality.

We had a family members celebration of life here and it could not have gone better. The staff was attentive and kind, each one offering condolences for our loss and listening intently as we talked about him. Kayleigh did an incredible job at putting everything together, organizing, and ensuring all of our questions were answered. Drinks flowed quickly for our 120+ guests. And beyond that… the food was incredible. Highly recommend JBaldwins for a delicious meal or a seamless event! Thank you to the entire team!

Google
This is my second time here, the first time the wife and I both got the filet and dinner was great! Along with the service. This time my wife got the blackened steak bites and I tried the margarita thin crust pizza. We got the spinach and artichoke dip as an app. The app and steak bites were great, the steak bites were perfectly cooked , my pizza was good but could be better. The flavor was great but the undercarriage needed to be crispier. I think the problem is they put the pizza on a metal mesh slide in the stone oven so the bottom doesn’t crisp up enough vs if it was actually on the stone bottom of the oven. I feel like that’s important for thin crust margarita style pizzas. Our server was fantastic as always and we really liked the atmosphere here. I would recommend it for sure

Google
Hands down the best food I've had in months! I recommend the calamari and the Sword fish! There was soo much flavor in everything, drinks were amazing! I loved the Christmas theme. I had a reservation, and I highly recommend making one, it was packed. 15/10 will be coming back. I met the owner and he was so nice and I received a table in less than 15 minutes.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants! Fabulous food, beautiful ambience, and delicious cocktails, their martinis are even served in an ice glass- genius! I just tried the barramundi and it was phenomenal, I'm definitely ordering that again! Their Sleigh Bells pop-up in the bar area features a special drink menu and is a-must-stop during the holiday season! They also have a great happy hour from 3-6p on Mondays and Fridays throughout the whole restaurant, not just the bar area! I also love that they are family oriented and give children a dough ball to play with and then they bake it and serve it with cinnamon sugar for their dessert. Wonderful place and owners!

Yelp
Came here as a party of 6 at 6:30 on a Wednesday, which is $20 off bottles of wine. We booked a reservation, but it turned out to be unneeded as there were many open tables when we arrived. Our waitress was very attentive, even in filling up our tiny water glasses every few minutes - I recommend asking to have a pitcher brought and left on the table. Food: The meatball appetizer was very yummy. The warm brie was pretty good with extremely crunchy toasts; fun but I wouldn't order again. Those that ordered the salmon and Barramundi fish were pleased with their meal. As was the person who got the lamb chop. My appetizer crab cakes as an entre were the perfect size after the other apps. I should have gotten the horseradish sauce on the side, but they were tasty with the slaw. The Detroit style pizza came out as a flat pizza, which upset the teen, and he didn't want to wait for it to be remade. The beef Spiedini special was very underdone and had to be sent back. While he waited, my partner received a free Reuben soup special. This was the star of the night! Very tasty and creative. The second Spiedini plate was better with the middle still rather rare. He could only have a few bites after filling up on soup and trying other dishes. It should make solid leftovers. It was my birthday and they brought out yummy complimentary cake with ganache and a candle at the end. Side note: The bar area is super cute! It would be fun to come here with a few friends and split a discount bottle on a Wednesday if we lived in the area. I'd come back for the Reuben soup.

Yelp
Came in for a birthday dinner. We reserved for 12 however 13 showed up. They were eager to accommodate. The bread and drinks came out fast. THE BREAD!!!! Delicious! There were a variety of meals ordered ranging from salads, calamari, boom boom shrimp, lamb, short rib, crab cakes, bread pudding and carrot cake. Not one person complained. I myself enjoyed the short rib and the banana pudding. Our waitress was stellar! Great customer service, accommodated multiple bills, great memory great recommendations and great service!

Yelp
Had a nice meal at jbaldwins. Service was slow on a Friday evening. We were there for 3 hours for 2 courses, but it allowed us to catch up and enjoy the live music in the bar area. I loved the appetizer and my entree was very good. Our server was very nice and attentive.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
We had a gift card and came here for dinner. The restaurant is perfect for a date night. For me, I wouldn't bring my kids here, but it was perfect for just my wife and me. I had the short ribs and they were unbelievably tender. I literally was able to "cut" it with a spoon. So, so good!

Yelp
greatest happy hour--we just left a packed bar with a bunch of happy people--happy hour there is 3-6 & all day sunday--reasonable drink prices with really good bar food--you also can order off of the menu--jon & david were our fun bartenders....

Yelp
Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. Service is always impeccable. Ambiance of hit or miss. Sometimes it's so loud I just can't stand it in there. But thankfully they now have outdoor seating, and if it's not too hot or cold outside, the seating is acceptable.

Yelp
Let me just start with the dipping sauce for the bread. It is amazing!! It's pesto based but very light and delicious. I ordered the fish and chips and it was also very good. The breading was just right and the portion was large with three generous pieces. It came with shoestring fries and a vinegar-based coleslaw. Service was good. Live music was enjoyable as well. All around very good evening here.

Yelp
My mother wanted to check out this spot. We have been to other locations out of state. The roast duck looks decent here. Ordered their fried calamari, warm Brie, truffle fries, blackened sword fish, mousaaka, goat beet salad, creme brûlée, strawberry tiramisu. $201.40 The mousaka was good, lots of shredded lamb meat in it. The beet goat cheese was a good size and was good. The sword wish was nicely cooked, more tender than expected, but too fishy tasting for me, but my husband enjoyed it. The roasted duck was good, the orange sauce wasn't my thing, it was way too sweet for me. The calamari is good, light breading and nice and tender too, not too rubbery. I can see why it's so popular. The truffle fries were good as well. The warmed Brie wasn't bad, the bread was simple white sliced toast, was definitely expecting something better than that. The side salad and the Caesar was okay. The creme brûlée is lovely, the cream is so light and delightful. The strawberry tiramisu was okay, different, not my favorite. The service was really good. John took really good care of us.

Yelp
Saturday night and place was super busy! Had a lot of regulars you could tell as they were talking with each of the serves like they knew them forever. Already decorated for Christmas looks super nice. Ordered the filet and was cooked to perfection the mashed potatoes were so creamy and buttery. The crab cakes were absolutely delicious with a type of cold slaw mix underneath added to the flavor and of course had to get creme brulee to go! Definitely a delicious meal.

Yelp
J Bladwins is one of our favorite date night restaurants. The food here is consistently good and we have never been disappointed. Friday nights they have live music and in the summer their outdoor patio is really nice. Their menu is diverse and includes lots of gluten free options as well as a few vegetarian options. Each week they have specials running including cocktails and entrees. Sometime we enjoy a "fancy" meal here and other times we order their delicious pizza. One time I was hoping to try a special and my server informed me it wasn't gluten free. A few moments later, she came back and said chef was willing to make it gluten free for me!! He personally brought it to the table and was so incredibly kind.

Holly Z.

Yelp
Food and service always outstanding. Top of the line. Best calamari and crab cakes I have ever had.

Denise R.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious as always. I got the special the halibut with the seafood risotto. It was so good. However I don't think it was seafood risotto. Tasted like cheese, no seafood tasted or in the rice. It was suppose to be a saffron lobster broth and I didn't taste like either. I'm giving 4 stars due to falsely adverting what's in it, although it was delicious. Not sure if it was a ploy to increase the price or what. I'm confused by it. I asked the manager and he scrambled on what to say to me when I asked about it being seafood risotto. If it was seafood risotto it would have had seafood in it....

Brian M.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Macomb County. Top notch customer service (bartender Blaine is A-1). Best calamari around

Yelp
Wife and I visited last week for the first time and had a great time. The food was very good and my wife has allergies that they were very accommodating with. The service was on point and the ambiance wasn't too loud. A nice place to stop in for lunch or dinner - we'll be back I'm sure.

Yelp
J Baldwins is fantastic. We went here for one of my birthdays. Service, decor, ambiance, and food are all amazing. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Another positive Happy hour review! (Details: Tuesday - Friday 3pm-6pm | Sunday 12pm-6pm Exclusive to Bar and Lounge Area Only) Love J. Bawldwins bar/lounge. Roomy and bustling. Jenna is very accommodating and attentive. On Fridays they have live acoustic music starting at 6:00. Great happy hour menu for good and drink. Today I ordered the Pomini and an ice glass. Cheers!

Yelp
Nikki was an amazing server. She was personable, nice, prompt and was able to take care of everything we needed. The food was amazing i highly suggest the wagyu meatballs!! The Christmas themed ornaments were very cute and made the ambiance super cheerful and fun. Overall all of the food was great and the dessert was even better.

Yelp
I'll start at the beginning. We had a reservation for 4 and were given seating options. I don't like booths and theirs are small. We were seated at a half booth table which is fine. We did have to ask for bread which was tasty, but a bit oily. The calamari was flavored well. The ricotta raviolis were excellent! Will get them again. Everyone enjoyed their meals. One thing I would appreciate more at a place serving this type of fair is that all wait staff have a thorough tasting of the entire menu so they can provide their insight. We always ask and our waitress had to go back to the kitchen several times to get answers to our questions. There was a chef at our table. Not I, but we're all foodies. If you want to do well and care about your wait staff, give them the opportunity to be informed.

Yelp
First time here! Had a great dinner. We were sat right down and attended to immediately! The cocktail menu is great..I had a very well poured Kentucky Mule. We ordered the calamari and WOW!!! So good! Not your usual fried rings..it's steaks cut and flash fired on a bed of lemon garlic sauce. Excellent. We also had the Boom Boom shrimp. Very tasty I had the ahi tuna meal and my husband had the lamp chops! Both wonderful dishes. Service and atmosphere were both great...we will definitely come back!!

Yelp
J. Baldwin's is one of my assistant's favorite places. So when it was time to show her how much I appreciate all of her hard work, this seemed like the perfect place. Not to mention it's only a mile from the office! We were able to get a high top by the bar and enjoy a variety of their fun seasonal cocktails. We didn't eat but she did pick out a few of her favorite items to recommend to me for next time. We had great service. The atmosphere is very similar to their other restaurant, Testa Bara. Oh. We will certainly be back! We have stressful jobs and need to decompress! We also share the same birthday month so I am guessing there will be a few "Nurses Gone Wild" moments for us! Cheers to an awesome new year!

Yelp
Nicole is a phenomenal server! Food was great Drinks were great ! Very clean, fancy and cute !

Yelp
Took my Mom here for her birthday and we loved it! She deserves the best and J Baldwin's made sure she got it! Will be back for many more occasions when I'm back in town visiting. Mother's Day probably!!

Yelp
This place is so absolutely delicious. I had the steak and it was wonderful. The cocktails very tasty and the ambience was jumping on a Friday night.
google avatar

Adrianne C.

Yelp
Had our first visit to J. Baldwins tonight. The restaurant itself was very nice. We were seated along side the kitchen which was a little loud for our taste but not overly annoying. Our waiter Jon was great, he was on top of everything. We ordered and received our food in a timely manner. The food was delicious with no complaints. The prices were a little high but overall it was a great experience and we will return.
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
The Baldwin family is amazing and their food EXCEEDS ALL EXPECTATIONS!!! The bread and pesto is amazing!!!
google avatar

Lu F.

Yelp
It had been a number of years since I dined here. Decor is very welcoming and on par for the times. Staff was efficient and helpful. Tried the deep dish Gluten Free (GF)pizza. It was okay. The edges came with that yummy browned cheese boarder which looked baked well, however, the dough was either not allowed to rise equally or it could have used a few more minutes in the oven? Unusual in that the center area slices were nicely puffed/risen and the surrounding areas were rather flat and doughy. They do not offer GF buns for a burger. They offer one beef burger and a lamb burger option. Crab Cake app was good. Overall everything was good, I could possibly see returning in the future?

Yelp
Also enjoy happy hour drinks Made my anniversary special with lovely dessert Great parking locale
google avatar

Rob B.

Yelp
Our third time here and the duck dinner is still good served with cheese Risotto, mushrooms, brocollini, and the caramelized orange slices. Good enough that I am comfortable with trying another dinner, especially after eye-ballin other plates coming out. We also had a moist thick piece of salmon on a cedar plank with sides. Also, it's yummy with a little extra topping. To top it off is a nice dense carrot cake with raisins and walnuts. Jenna did an excellent job for the second time. They remain in our top two, even Steven and tied.
google avatar

Nichole R.

Yelp
Best restaurant in the area, hands down. The calamari is my favorite. Cocktails are always delicious as well!
google avatar

Jenna R.

Yelp
Wow! We came to J Baldwins after a recommendation from a coworker for our 1st wedding anniversary. The staff, specifically our waitress Nikki, treated us like royalty! We kicked off dinner with the calamari and indeed understand why it's what they're known for! The bread is also delicious! I had the barramundi and my husband had the cauliflower white pizza! We declined ordering dessert and Nikki surprised us with dessert for our anniversary. Great experience 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
My wife and I decided we were in the mood for a slightly more upscale drink and dessert experience and found this place on yelp. We arrived to find a relaxed atmosphere and absolutely phenomenal service at the bar. We were barely in our seats before we have been greeted by three of the four bartenders. The cocktail menu was long and all of it looked absolutely delightful. In the end I ordered a unique cocktail prepared with a couple of interesting ingredients. I don't remember specifically what it was but I remembered enjoying every sip of it. My dessert was the wonderful twin crème brûlée. Crème brûlée is easy to screw up and I was so pleased with the quality of the preparation. Nice soft pudding, with the sugar crisped up just right. It made for an elegant presentation when brought out and it was absolutely delicious. This place is upscale and charges accordingly, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Yelp
I absolutely love J Baldwin's. I've been here a few times and I'm grateful they always have the duck available. Let's start with the appetizers; we got the calamari and buffalo cauliflower. They are fantastic. The tomatoes, scallions and capers all in a beautifully concocted sauce; it's delicious. The cauliflower has the perfect ratio of buffalo sauce and there's crumbled bleu cheese on top. The cauliflower could be a bit more crispy but it's very good nonetheless. I had a bite of the salmon my wife ordered with the zip sauce, divine! I've had the duck multiple times and I always go medium rare but today it was cooked a bit beyond that but the skin was still very crispy and the flavors were all working well together. The berry glaze and mushroom risotto are the perfect complimentary pieces to the salty duck. The drinks are ok, I had the spicy ghost and it wasn't anything I would get again. The service was good and the whole place is beautiful. Looking forward to the next visit for sure!

Yelp
A waitress not ours, told us we had to get up from our table immediately after we finished our after dinner coffee. We had been at this place for approximately 1hr. 15 min. , and it wasn't busy , and when I say told she us ,she tapped on my partners chair to get us to leave . We had just spent a total of 150$ plus on our meals/drinks. There was no line just 4 people that said the table we were sitting at was their "regular" table. We asked for the manager and an assistant manager, an angry woman, came out , said no worries but the 4 people waiting were regulars. She then offered my business partner a 10$ gift card for us to leave. We were shocked ,speechless. I have never been treated like this at any restaurant. Needless to say ZERO stars and won't return.

Natalie H.

Yelp
Had lunch this weekend . The kitchen staff did a great job as always . Service was friendly too .

Yelp
We picked this place to celebrate our son-in-laws PHD. The staff went out of their way to make it a VERY special celebration. From the special sign to the desert platter, the absolutely delicious food and impeccable service~ it was a perfect celebration. Big THANK YOU to J Baldwins!!

Yelp
Group of 8 dined for New Years Eve! Food was 2nd to none! The ambiance was magnificent, and the atmosphere was so warming! We will be back over and over again! Our server Kimmie went over and above to assure us all a wonderful experience as well as went out of her way to make sure my wife and her twin sister had a wonderful birthday surprise! They have now completely won us over!

Yelp
Can't go wrong with this app! Also the fig truffle pizza is my fav!! It was gone before I could click a pic lol

Yelp
Such a disappointment for a Birthday dinner. The food has declined over time, while the prices have gone way up. The service was TERRIBLE. It took 3 hours for dinner for 6 of us. The restaurant was not that busy. When the manager came by, he asked how things were going and we told him our service was terribly slow. He seemed to pretend we were not complaining about the service, and he went on about how the restaurant is doing, and the staffing is fine? The prized calamari (which we asked for well done and it was not) had no flavor, very little sauce and undercooked. We ordered appetizers and drinks which took a very long time. The server never came back at that point so we could order our meals, and we finally flagged her down after our apps were long finished. I think we waited 40-50 minutes for our entrees. It was ridiculous. We got there at 6 and left at 9. UGH.

Julie S.

Yelp
This restaurant has great food. Everything is prepared from scratch and you can tell. We had the calamari and boom boom shrimp as appetizers and the lamb chops were the best we have ever had.
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
Casual environment with very good food. Good service. Prices are on the expensive end.

Abby B.

Yelp
Food and service were fabulous. Favorite drink is the ice glass martinis! Perfect for a hot hot day! Everything from the appetizers (best calamari with very little breading!) to the dessert were scrumptious. We sat on the patio and it was hot, but such a beautiful Father's Day meal!

Yelp
We first met Chef Jeff Baldwin at a wedding reception at Mac & Ray's Marina back in the '90's. For those not in the know, Jeff was the Executive Chef for The Van Dyke Place restaurant then The Whitney. Ten years later marked the opening of J. Baldwins in Macomb County. After a couple dozen visits and a thousand great memories, I decided to pay homage to this truly wonderful eatery. I'm not sure how you could rate less than five stars, it's a remarkable facility that boasts what I consider to be the perfect entertaining atmosphere. We've witnessed some excellent live entertainment here and the entire staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure you enjoy the perfect evening. PRO TIP: They typically don't do call ahead seating but (especially on busier nights) always make a reservation. Must tries include the Boom Boom Shrimp, the Truffle Pizza, the Lamb burger and pretty much any steak on the menu. If you are a drinker, check out J.B.'s House Spiced Burbon. This definition alone will sell you: House Infused Bourbon with Clove, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Golden Raisins, Garnished with an Orange Peel, topped with Punt e Mas. Right? $11 well spent. If you consider this extravagant dining (it is commonly rated $$$) and this type of experience is rare in your social wheelhouse, J. Baldwin's is the place for you to brave. 06/21

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in Southeast Michigan. In my opinion their food is always amazing and they use quality ingredients. Everything is made from scratch, including the crackers. They serve with soup and I can't begin to tell you how amazing the desserts are .The crème brûlée is to die for and all the other desserts are just as good. The service is always perfect especially at the bar. I would recommend sitting at the bar to eat dinner. You won't be disappointed. I guarantee it.

Yelp
The food and service was great but it is very loud in there. Don't plan on any quiet, romantic dinners! The prices are quite high- so be prepared. I got the Sea Bass dinner and it was $39. They had a steak dinner that was $62. Just to give you an idea of what you're getting into. Our server was friendly and made a point of learning our names - but when I needed a refill on my water she was nowhere to be found. That was a little frustrating and when I finally flagged her down she brought a little pitcher for the water In case I wanted more. The portions are good size, but you most likely won't be bringing home any leftovers. They give you a bread basket with a bowl of basil flavored oil for dipping the bread. As far as the atmosphere, they have music blasting in the restaurant and for some reason it's very loud in there so it was very hard to carry on a conversation. We did not have reservations but they had a hightop table that was open. The only problem for me was the chairs were like metal and very slippery so I kept having to readjust myself in my seat

Yelp
We come here often, we love the calamari just like everyone else! And they have the best Palomas!!! Occasionally we come for happy hour and have a great time sitting at the bar with our friends sharing several menu items so we can try them all. I wish they offered more of the happy hour items during dinner! We recently tried the white chocolate blueberry bread pudding and the raspberry lemon cheesecake, both were delicious. We always have fantastic service, they go above and beyond to make you happy and ensure you are enjoying your food and your experience. The owner is very friendly and makes an effort to personally connect with everyone. Its a beautiful restaurant with great spots to suit whatever kind of experience you're looking for whether you want to sit at the bar and be casual and chat with everyone or you want to sit outside and enjoy the weather or find a cozy booth and have a more intimate meal. It checks all the boxes! We love J Baldwin!

Yelp
This establishment is turning into my MOST favorite place to be. I do not need a special occasion or anything celebratory, I just want to be here whenever I can carve out the time in my schedule. This is my "Self-Luv" treat. That's not how it started. I actually did come here to celebrate my Birthday two years ago and let me tell you, I have not been disappointed since! The food is always amazing! The ambience, is something out of a novel, beautiful, calm, sexy and welcoming. We never feel rushed to go home. I've dined on the patio, & the main dining area. Every table is a GOOD spot. I miss the staff the moment we leave (lol) they make you feel like you truly are being served by your friends - It's literally the most euphoric feeling of dinning out in peace I've had.

Yelp
We only stopped in for a drink at the bar and takeout b4 a movie. Loved the scenery and atmosphere. Food was amazing. Didn't like how the bartender instantly said the kitchen closes in 10 mins. It was not closing time and we were not late. Our movie started at 9:20pm.. so i asked y are you closing when the hours online say differently. She said when its slow the kitchen closes early

Yelp
Another beautiful Friday date night in the books my husband's week ends and mine begins (love the service Industry!) we love coming here because we always have amazing service! From the goat cheese/jalapeno olives for my honeys dirty to the huge pours of wine for happy hour. Totally enjoyed our version of surf and turf between the crabcakes and wagyu meatballs. Loved letting our bartenders flip a coin to choose our dessert to go before our Uber came to scoop us up and get us home safely
