Google
Such a fun place to go for food! The dinner is fully kitted out for an American experience, it was a great experience. Affordable prices and the food itself was brilliant. Friendly and welcoming staff made the experience made it all the better.

Google
Both had pancakes and bottomless coffee, which was delicious. Loved it here and would come back again. Toilets clean, restaurant clean and attentive servers.

I really love this place. Just great, honest food cooked well. Very attentive and likeable staff. Honestly you can trust them to cook your steak exactly how you want it. The restaurant is also decorated well and has a wicked Hollywood style.

Went for breakfast and we had the pancakes. Absolutely delicious, huge portion and plenty of maple syrup and crispy bacon 😋 yum. Lovely waitress and bottomless coffee

It was my son's birthday and he chose this venue as I used to take him there when he was younger. The place was empty which was a shame as the food was good apart from osric's sausage being cold, but they came and brought him a hot one. The staff were cordial, the check came to £152.00, plus nineteen pounds gratuity, for five people, with four milkshakes which had two servings, to hamburger and fries, my son had the all you can eat steak platter, I had pulled pork and Stephen had pulled beef, very satisfying proportions. And a service with a small and so banter, so I was pleased. It is very clean and I love the decor, and music and you can watch tom and jerry cartoons while you eat.

Google
A wonderful dinning experience, accompanied with kind staff and delicious food! A must visit! From my milkshake to the ‘cowboy’ waffle for my main, I was WOWed by the presentation and the taste. The servers were friendly and fast with my order. 10/10 happily recommend.

Google
The food was pretty good, and the milkshakes were quite nice. I got a flavor I didnt end up liking but I can't deny it was a well made milkshake. The vibes inside the resturant are also great. My only mark down is from service being a bit slow, despite a mostly empty resturant. Other than that, fine diner.

Yelp
The ambiance has a 1950's vibe with 50's era decor, music by Elvis and Tom Jones to name two, a cool motorcycle display when you walk in, and Tom & Jerry cartoons playing in the background. A fun place for families. Food was delicious. My husband had the Steak & Fries I had the caramelized onion Burger, which I believe the cook brought right out to us. The fries were nice and hot. The steak was cooked perfectly my burger could have been cooked a bit longer to prevent so much of the meat juices from dripping. The waitstaff could be more inviting when you come into the restaurant. The first attempt to eat here the waitress apologized and said it would be a 40 minute wait as a trove of people arrived between 5 - 5:30 pm when we arrived. We told her we'd come back another time. Two days later we arrived around 4:30 ish, and the young lady from way behind the counter, without saying hello or welcome, pointed us to a table. Our assigned waitress was pleasant but we had to flag her down twice for more beverages, it wasn't really busy yet and three wait staff were talking amongst each other. In any case if you don't mind this type behavior this place will suit you, but if you're a large group it may be somewhat challenging to be waited on with a professional attitude. We stayed a week in lovely Brighton and the restaurant was across the street but we didn't bother trying this place for a third time.

Yelp
Located near to the pier in Brighton (on the main road) there is this amazing diner that does a great selection of America: - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner The food is reasonably priced and you get more than enough for your buck (ok pound). We had breakfast there and it def set you up for the day so if you go to Brighton go and have breakfast it won't disappoint

Chris L.

Yelp
Some friends and I stumbled on the American Diner in Brighton whilst looking for something to eat that wasn't right next to the amusement rides and fish and chip takeawys of the seafront. It's decor is typical of a faux "Americana" feel, with sports and Hollywood memrobilia on the walls, a retro jukebox in the corner and a TV screen showing old Tom and Jerry cartoons. The food was ok, but nothing special. On the positive side, the portions were large and reasonably priced, with the £8 burger, chips and salad meal I ordered being more than I could eat, which isn't usually the case. I normally go for a double burger in places like Byron. They also had a good selection of milkshakes. I didn't try one, but a couple of friends did, and said they were good. I instead opted for the only draught beer on tap - Coors light.

Yelp
If you're looking for American food and or the Diner experience, then you can't go wrong with JB's. I wasn't expecting to be waited on at a table, and was just after a milkshake, but I was whisked off by a friendly waitress and given a menu to peruse on entry. I didn't think the décor was "lacking" as Samantha put it, with plenty of old school pictures of American white picket fence loving 20's - 60's advertisements. It felt good enough to satisfy me. Sadly, I discovered I only had enough money for a drink, and seeing as the waitress had already brought me a glass of tap water, I felt rather guilty... She smiled happily when I explained my social dilema, and told me not to worry, so I stopped, and enjoyed reading my book in unfamiliar surroundings. I wish I had had money for food though, as (although it wasn't exactly budget) it looked and smelt great! There's a pool table for you to enjoy too, although I wouldn't recommend playing too many games while waiting for your food, as it you may be having to leave your game early, or else watch your food get cold.

Sean L.

Yelp
Nice decor but that's pretty much it, I ordered some chicken strips that were pathetic for the £5.75 price, the burgers aren't anything special really and my wife had fridge cold mushrooms in her burger along with a puddle of water at the bottom of the burger? The milkshakes weren't frozen enough so basically just milk with flavours added, the kids meals were pretty much in edible, my sons burger was dry and the bun was burnt and my daughters hotdog bun was burnt and inedible. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I'm giving 2 stars because there wasn't any hairs in our food

Marcio A.

Yelp
This is the second time I have been at JB diners and I love the theme and the big portions of food however prices can be a little high even tho they are big portions. The staff is friendly. Mostly foreign. I wished that there were more parking spaces as parking on one of the NCP car parks is expensive to say the least.

Samantha C.

Yelp
JB's menu offers proper American diner food including BURGERS, cob salads, frings and steaks etc etc. The decor in some what lacking and there's some odd posters knocking about, its almost like they spent all the money on the furniture. The lacking decor stands out as the restaurant is absolutely massive! It gets really busy with families and the food we got was a bit soggy and half arsed, but I'm sure it would be nice on if they weren't packed with customers. I maybe bias as the best American diner in the world is about a mile down the seafront but i have to stay I was slightly disappointed with JB's.

Chris H.

Yelp
JB's is a nice, cheap American diner, serving American classics in a classic American surrounding with very reasonable prices. Yes, it's a little trashy, but so are the best diners in the US: it seems purposefully cultivated here, which is the right way to go. This would all be fine if the food was anything better than OK... it's not bad, just nothing special, and in the centre of town, restuarants really need to be offering something special: JB's is more than a little dull in comparison. Brighton already loves its burgers, and the likes of GBK and Grubb's have spoiled me rotten. Yes, I like my burgers with a bit of pizazz now, or at least more than just the basic, classic flavours. That's what JB's offers: the classics, not even done particularly well. They aren't bad, just nothing special, which may as well be a death sentence around here. Apart from that, the set-up here is lovely, very 'classic American diner' even down to the Tom and Jerry cartoons on the TV. I appreciate all of this, and really like the atmosphere, but just want more out of my burgers. Shame, really...

Qype User (Stepha…)

Yelp
A funky diner where the staff dress up like they stepped out of a Grease musical. The milkshakes are huge and awesome. Be sure to have an Oreo Cookie shake- yum! The food is fitting for the theme with giant hot dogs and burgers galore. They do sell salads as well if you want a healthy option. Be warned, the servings are huge and very filling. I orderend a starter and shared a sharing starter with my friend and didn't finish- oops! Also, if you're not into milkshakes the wine is just as nice, I had a glass of house rosé and it was delicious. Be sure to give Betty Boop a kiss on your way out.

Nava N.

Yelp
Go if only for the milkshakes. Seriously, JB's makes a 10 star milkshake in the UK. Thick like it should be. Massive as Americans generally do it. You get the full milkshake in a standard 1950s nostalgia glass, but you also get all the remainder in a metal cup to the side. I didn't even order a milkshake, but my husband's was so good (banoffee), that I kept going back for extra. The food itself is aok. I had the ribs and was warned that it was a big portion. Understatement of the year. I had three gigantic tiers of ribs. They were a bit too big to pick up with your hands, but they were quite tender and fork-able. Their chips are pretty crisp. Chicken wings were tiny but tasty and plentiful. But the milkshakes. Ooh! Also, on the way out, there's a vending machine filled with American goodies. Got myself a pack of my beloved Twizzlers to go!

Andreas J.

Yelp
I give them a two-star review just because the interiors, milkshakes, the presentation and staff were nice. The food, however, is another story. The burger patties were way too dry, the buns were burnt, the chips were unpleasant and the coleslaw was sour. This applies to all burgers and sides our group had. Won't go back and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to try it either. It's not so bad that it's worth going there only once for the exceptionally bad experience, it's just unnecessarily bad. Least valuable food I've had in Brighton over the six months I've been here. 'Cause it's not cheap - then it would've been a slightly different story.

Lana P.

Yelp
The decorations in here was so cool and the service was amazing. By far the best American diner I've been to. And the wrap was amazing! So many colours and tasted amazing. Was also so big!

Iulia R.

Yelp
Had a very nice experience here! The portions are big and my Texas Bbq was yummy! Also the place looks great, I felt like I was in Pulp Fiction.

Robyn A.

Yelp
The food is quick and the portions are generous, but beware: just as I was bringing a bite of salad to my mouth, I noticed something that definitely didn't belong. Upon closer inspection, I found it to be a ladybug. I did some more digging into the salad and found a second one! Needless to say, my appetite was ruined! No real apology, they just whisked away my meal and brought back out my now-lukewarm hotdog and chips on a clean plate, sans salad and wildlife. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Ever. Well, maybe if my doctor suggests more protein in my diet...

Sara A.

Yelp
One of the worst restaurants i have ever eaten in! I have been to a fair share of American diners and this is not one that i would classify as American at all! Despite the attempt they have made to recreate the stereotypical diner the restaurant is just lacking in every way possible. American diners pride themselves on fast, friendly service, well not here its quite the opposite. Long waits, moody waitresses and just unprofessional all round. I visited this restaurant back in 2011 and swore not to go back and i haven't. Not only were my starters cold but it was obvious they had been fried twice so they were drenched in old cooking oil not my idea of an appetizing meal. Following the poor show for starters the mains were even worse, stale chips with a burnt burger! Overall the food was tasteless! You are better off going to Woodies along the kingsway just before portslade! may be out of the way but the food is a lot better! Steer clear if you want to save your money and not be disappointed!

Shannon G.

Yelp
You always know it's a bad sign when the best things you eat at a restaurant are only the items that were deep fried. I'm from Canada and this is not a good representation of an American diner. The food is rubbish (hope I used that word properly!) and the atmosphere is alright for people who have no idea what a real American diner looks like or what the food tastes like. The veggie burger was plain gross and my boyfriend's meat burger was also not up to his standards. My salad was a few leafs of lettuce, some un-ripe tomato and small pieces of cucumber. Ugh.

Glen M.

Yelp
So we popped in of an evening, having heard good things, but despite a 30 minute wait, we weren't allowed to go next door. Well, that was sort of enough for me, but some folk wanted to eat there the next day. All right, then. American diner: English breakfast. It was OK. The bacon was smoked and lovely, the sausages were, I swear, made from damp sawdust and rendered pig fat. Unfortunately, not the fat from the bacon. Eggs underdone with a fine layer of snot 'pon them. The most exciting thing on the menu, in the American diner, was the lacklustre Full English. Seriously lacking service as well. Nice tea, but not enough of it. The coffee wouldn't come, even though we asked for it. The aforementioned confusement of the evening. Now, they do have American style pancakes. I don't care for them, because they put me right back to sleep, but they have a range of them, so if that's your thing... come along. Maybe. I can't speak for their quality. But I suspect that their lustre lacks as much as the rest of this place. It wasn't so bad - I'd started with 2 stars, but after writing the review... well, it really only deserves 1. We need a -1 rating for the truly awful.

Kylzo L.

Yelp
My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.. And they're like It's better than yours.... Ok so this diner is one of what you imagine exist everywhere in America, the ones that appear in the movies but alas this is Brighton, and we are in England along King street so there has to be a bit of an English feel somewhere along the way (well least one would think) but disregard the bay breeze and scenary outside for just a moment and be basked in the glory of 50's, jukeboxes and the goodness of a sloppy joe hamburger or be that an american foot long hot dog with ketchup, mustard and fries. It all goes down a treat if your into that. For some reason I decided to have a falafal burger and chips which may as well have been a sloppy beef burger as it just fell to pieces as I tried to consume it any possible way. It was a bit dry no matter how many different types of sauces I tried to cover it in and just plain tasteless. The only thing I will be back to JB's for is an old school milkshake which was super tasty and the best I have had in a long while. Not only was it thick and served in a classic milkshake glass with cream but you actually got the remainders of your milkshake in the old fashioned silver cup (basically equivalent quantity of two and a half milkshakes so ideal for sharing with a friend). My idea for this venue to expand and make money would be to hire it out for 50's themed parties and crank out the tunes on the jukebox.

Ana P.

Yelp
The place itself is very hipster. Let's go ahead and talk about the food. As soon as I got my burger I noticed the bun was burnt. The fries were a little cold, It took us a little over 10 mins to get out entrees. As my first time in Brighton I expected more from this place.

Jessie P.

Yelp
Ok so there are some things I really love about this place - the cool retro American diner decor, the vibe, the milkshakes!! I like the breakfasts, I really enjoyed my American breakfast here, it was huge! I admit its not the best food in the world and you can tell they use cheap ingredients but it is what it is and I think it works ok. It's cheap and on the seafront so I think you get what you pay for. Its not somewhere I would want to go every week but now and then I have an urge to go there. It's a great place to take friends as its really cool inside with all the American memorabilia to look at and the old rock & roll songs playing. It's worth going just for the milkshakes..we order 1 milkshake and ask for it in 2 glasses as this is plenty! if you have one to yourself then the refill they give you is the same size as the actual milkshake so it can be a bit much! It is an American style diner and the portions certainly are American sized so go there hungry. I am not tempted to go there for a burger as there are so many great burger places in Brighton so I know I would be disappointed but for the occasional big breakfast and milkshake then its a winner for me. The waitresses are friendly enough but at times it can be difficult to get their attention and sometimes they seem to forget things... Saying this, it can be very busy in there so I don't want to be too hard on them. This is not somewhere to go if your in a rush but its a cool place to sit for a leisurely shake or bite to eat.

Jonathan W.

Yelp
No greeting!! had to ask for a table.. waiting 45 mins for starters! which microwaved rubbish.. the main course was eevn worse i had the the porterhouse steak for £17.95 was probably worst bit of steak ive seen or eaten avoid!

Kiel D.

Yelp
Follow the sound of 60's rock down Brighton Seafront and come on in and grab a shake! Good ol' fashioned, plenty of milk and icecream and shhlluuuurpiness galore. I've been here a few times, having burgers, hot dogs, steak, the lot! For a diner style place, the steak was suprisingly good. Tender and tasty and well seasoned. The burgers are what you'd expect, nothing special but not bad at all for the price. The footlong hotdogs are tasty, with a range of toppings available for all you crazy hot dog topping people out there! I can't write a review here without mentioning the onion rings. Oh god... the onion rings! Those looking to avoid fat should look away now! They come out looking like a bowl of doughnuts, but are very light and crispy and have a slightly herby batter. If you can manage one portion by yourself then go you! I always end up taking them home (great with beer later on). On to the decor. The restaurant is filled with 50's and 60's Americana, film posters, coke signs and such. My favourite thing about this place has to be the Tom and Jerry played on tv's around the place :-). The staff are always fast and helpful, offering great service. Food comes out fast and fresh, even when it is busy.

Yelp
Until recently, I'd always walked straight past this place at the end of Black Lion Street. I'm sure you've all done the same as, let's face it, it doesn't look like the most inviting place in the world. So when a friend invited us out for a get-together here, I wasn't overly enamoured with the idea. I thought it'd be a horrendous, shabby place - and overpriced to boot given it's location. I'm happy to admit I was totally wrong. The inside of this place couldn't look more different from the impression it gives on the outside. 50s-style diner tables, red faux-leather upholstered booths, an American pool table (only 50p a game), rock 'n' roll music playing, images of hollywood stars plastering the walls... I felt like I'd just stepped onto the set of 'Grease'. The food isn't half bad either - a massive plate of steak and chips cost about £12 and the starters are all under a fiver. They also serve the most immense-looking milkshakes (I believe one is Bailey's flavoured?) All in all, this place made for an unexpectedly good evening - the only thing they lose points for is the slowness of their service. Far more authentic an 'American Diner' and much better value for money than any soulless branch TGI Friday, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're down in Brighton and want to grab a bite to eat by the seaside.

Rachael H.

Yelp
JB's is easily one of my favourite places to eat in Brighton. The food quality is incredible, the service is really good, the staff are always friendly and everything is very reasonably priced. My favourite thing about it, though, is actually the decor. They have gone for the retro 50s diner vibe and they have done it incredibly well. I really cannot rate this place highly enough.

Qype User (saltat…)

Yelp
Nostalgia diners make me happy. Growing up in London only a bus journey away from Ed's Diner my standards are high. I expect a lot from a milkshake. J.B's do pretty well. J.B.'s has a lot going for it. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Here you can have a classic American burger with a milkshake, a soft drink or even a glass of wine. Their burgers are immense, both in taste and size. The chips are also excellent and living in a seaside town I have automatic credentials as a chip connoisseur! The decor is fabulous. The walls are covered in memorabilia from movies and music of yesteryear with a few odd exceptions (like a James Blunt poster which looks a little out of place) and there are also television screens around with cartoons playing. There is a great atmosphere here and I have been there many times and will no doubt return many times. Especially, as an added bonus, there is a pool table there and it's only 50p a game. What keeps the place from getting 5 stars from me is the service. The waiters/waitresses have never been rude but the service has always been slow. Additional condiments are not asked about and trying to get their attention seems to be a skill I can't quite master. I wouldn't recommend it if you have some place to be but if you're just out for a leisurely meal, where you can get two courses and a drink for less that £15 with relative ease and you want some cool 50's ambience, then this is the place for you!

Qype User (ake2…)

Yelp
I wholeheartedly agree with salatrix (below). I think compared with other American diners in the UK of this type its pretty good value for money, especially considering its seafront location. I've been wanting to try this place for months but it does look a bit dreary, bleak seaside-town-esque from the outside so I thought it could be hit or miss. Definitely hit though. Service was a bit slow, certainly when it came to getting the bill, but I was quite tipsy and distracted by the waitress' pretty pinny and full of BBQ ribs at the time so I couldn't be too annoyed at her. The place seemed to be full of canoodling couples so I would recommend it as first date material. I would certainly be wooed if a man took me to this joint.

Tania B.

Yelp
Super retro diner with an American feel who make the BEST milkshakes! You get at least 2 large, proper thick milkshakes (the leftover comes in a small metal cup on the side) and there's the option to take away if you don't finish it all. Huge portions and the prices are so reasonable. The onion rings are huge - probably the size of my head!!! The food is good quality, however sometimes the service can be hit or miss. The waitresses are polite but when it's busy, sometimes I've had the odd item forgotten about. Other than that, a great place!

Qype User (amyb19…)

Yelp
Pretty much what it says on the tin - hamburgers, hotdogs and milkshakes (oh my!), wrapped up in kitschy 50s decor and a bottomless mug of coffee. The brunch options are spot on - my omelette really hit the spot - and it's all very reasonably priced, considering the portions are ample. It's sometimes difficult getting the staff's attention, as they're often rushed off their feet (maybe they need rollerskates? Ha), but they're usually lovely and very cutely dressed. Plus the food came very quickly, which was lucky, as we were ravenous. If it wasn't for my waistline, and the fact I live several hundred miles away, I'd come here every weekend.

Qype User (samant…)

Yelp
This place is no Woodies but far more convienant. I've visited on a number of occasions so they must be doing something right. The menu is full of American classics and is nice and tasty, all at a reasonable price. The service didnt impress me I waited for 20 minutes to pay once but still went back. Defo worth a go!

Qype User (suzort…)

Yelp
I visited this diner when I was down visiting a friend, needless to say I was really impressed. We went on a quiet monday lunch time and although the place wasn't packed out, the servers were keeping themselves busy - no hanging around making the place look bad. The food arrived quickly and was so tasty. I went for a cheeseburger and the portion was massive. Definitely worth the money! Whilst the atmosphere wasn't bad, I can imagine it's got a great fun atmosphere when the place is really busy. I'd most certainly go back!

Qype User (ad488…)

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal here. The food was great and it was also really good value for money. The restaurant itself was pretty cool, a normal american style diner and with all the things you'd normally expect. The menu was pretty good for a place like this, everything you'd normally expect was there and it was all cooked to perfection. I had huge burger and a milkshake all or which was really tasty and it was really quick coming which was great because i was hungry. They also have a selection of beers and wines for the achies.

kev a.

Yelp
When this place first opened we went in and was quite disappointed with the average food and decor but we gave it another chance recently and I'm glad we did! The food has improved so much, the burgers are much bigger and tastier and they've added to the decor so it really looks like a classic American diner now. My only concern is sometimes the staff aren't the most friendly depending who you get. Other than that it's a good place we'll visit again!

Qype User (clap44…)

Yelp
Good thing is that you can taste first the sauces before you choose. The staffs are very attentive and you really get what you want. It is fulfilling good food that I ever tasted. Loved to go back to this place.

Lee C.

Yelp
Ummmmm...... was dragged into JB's the other day. The staff were nice as was my chocolate malt shake. Our burgers were average at best though so probably wouldn't go back..... saying that the place was packed out so it can't be that bad...... was going to give it two stars but the malt shake saved it......

Louise C.

Yelp
JB's can be very hit or miss. Sometimes I've been and the food has been amazing; juicy burgers and crispy fries. Although other times it's been awful; dry burgers, greasy, soggy fries. I've not noticed a pattern in why the quality is so inconsistent but sometimes it is worth the risk. And their milkshakes are always superb, if not rather filling (I substitute a dessert with a milk shake, because if you have one with your meal you WILL explode).

Kristie T.

Yelp
I went to this place every Tuesday when I was living in Brighton. They have 2 for 1 entrees on Tuesdays which equal about a fiver each person. I know an American going to England to eat at an American Dinner is pretty lame, but trust me, it's some of the cheapest [and best tasting] food in Brighton. I generally stuck to the burgers, in fact, i always stuck to the burgers. My favorite was the Cross the Border burger. It was absolutely great and very flavorful - definitely woke my tastebuds up from the hibernation between Tuesdays. The servers here are also really nice and make sure you ask for the tray of condiments for your chips if they don't just give it to you.

Carla L.

Yelp
We came here with a group of 15 for a friend's birthday, but were told we were unable to book ahead. When we arrived, the waitress said that we would not fit in the waiting area, so to wait outside or come back later. We opted to come back an hour later, and when we arrived, the waitress had a very bad attitude and was not welcoming or helpful. We were initially told a 30 minute wait, before being told 20 minutes later that this was for multiple tables of 2-6 people, and would need to wait a further 20 minutes for a table together. The waitress made it very clear to us that our table would be ready at 9:15, and we would have to order, eat and leave the restaurant by 10pm. Finally we had our table, placed our orders, and all went well. Unfortunately, they forgot to cook the birthday boy's food, so he ate 15 minutes later than everyone else. On the whole, the food was fine but not outstanding, and the only great disappointment were the buffalo wings (the reason we went). They were served very dry, and although the menu stated they were cooked in Frank's buffalo sauce, when we asked for a pot of buffalo sauce, they said they did not have any. Although it is hard to manage a large group, I felt that the prices were high for distinctly average food, and the attitude of staff was poor, which did not warrant such a price.

Yelp
Always very busy , big portions but not the best food . However nachos and the milkshakes reign supreme

Andrea H.

Yelp
Best "American Food" I've had in the U.K. so far, and I'm an American who doesn't much care for the typical Indian curry or fish n'chips fast food found most everywhere else. I'm also accustomed to bigger portions than what would normally be found within the U.K. and this gave me what I am used to in the states. The alcoholic milkshakes are absolutely amazing, gave me a happy go-lucky light buzz afterwards as well. Someone complained about the staff being foreign, but, its an AMERICAN diner... Technically anyone who isn't american is foreign. The staff was very friendly and gave great customer service, which is what I care about. The atmosphere/decor makes you want to stay there for hours, there's even an awesome gift shop inside along with memorabilia signed by the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Great place to eat and I visit every time I'm in Brighton.

Yelp
We had lunch here on Saturday and it was scrum-diddly-uptious! We brought our little boy with us who is 11 months old and was very well accomodated. High chairs available, staff happy to warm through the baby food and changing facilities great. The food was fantastic. Foot long hot dog was actually a foot long and really yummy. Very reasonable in price too. Me and my partner had a foot long Chilli dog each, with cheese, extra Chilli and onions (came with fries and salad) and a milkshake each (where they leave you the left over shake in the shaker and it works out you actually have about two glasses of your shake) and the whole thing came to £23. The staff were friendly, quick service and serice charge is not inculded so be sure you leave a tip! I loved it so much i have booked a table for 15 people for my sons first birthday party very highly recommended for good fun. Saladas available for the health concious and wine and spirits on the menu too. Lu x

Yelp
AVOID IF YOU HAVE KIDS I cannot express how poor the service is in this place. The staff had to be waved at to get any attention and then they brought the wrong things when asked! The food was really average and didn't include what was stated on the menu. We had to nip to the toilets mid way through our milkshakes only to find the whole table cleared when we returned. Try explaining to a 3 and 5 year old why the staff have taken away their half finished milkshakes and chucked them in the bin! Awful - we'll never go again and I suggest you don't either especially if you have kids.

Yelp
Visited here whilst on holiday with my wife and two children in Brighton, had read reviews and found them to be varied so decided to try. The restaurant has a good decor with friendly staff and clean facilities. I was not too impressed with the menu choice, and decided to opt for a chicken and bacon club sandwich with a side order of onion rings. The food was very good, the portion was large and very nice, my wife and kids were also impressed with their choices and had no room to try deserts. My daughter opted for a banana milkshake which was amazing and the onion rings were equally good. I would have no problem recommending this restaurant, try to go on a Tuesday when main courses are buy one get one free. The total cost came to £30 for a family of five with drinks, bargain.

Yelp
I'm surprised this place has received such good feedback. I ate here the other night and was really disappointed. The burger was awfulobvioulsy cheap and out the freezer. In this day and age with so many gourmet burger places around they really should be able to serve something so much better than what i ate. Staff miserable too. Will not be going back. Shame as the inside looks good. If only they paid that much attention to their food.

Yelp
Food was so so Burgers were ok Ribs were certainly not marinated in barbecue sauce like they claim just cooked normally with barbecue sauce in a bottle put on the table,The service was awful and very slow, the restaurant was only a 3rd full and they were claiming a 40 minute wait for food we waited 10 mins after finishing for a waitress to come over and to take the plates away, easily the worst American diner we have been to very disappointing.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my trip to JB's. Ive been there twice now and had the same meal. While I found the food good and the milkshakes amazingggggg,I couldnt help but question the price. I think knocking a Pound off certain items would be good.
