"Musée Jean Cocteau In the 1950s, the town of Menton invited prodigious artist, poet, author, and filmmaker Jean Cocteau to design a museum for his work. In a town known for its extraordinary gardens, the museum is an ode to the creative genius, beginning with the monumental lizard mosaic (designed by Cocteau) that guides guests to the entrance. Redesigned in 2008, the museum is now one of the Riviera’s most important destinations for contemporary art and architecture."
I loved the layout of this museum. It’s accessible by foot and was an aesthetic collection of Jean Cocteau’s works.

Amazing art in a wonderful city. Entry is free the first Sunday of every month.

Contrary to what is indicated, the Cocteau Museum is closed down since several years (due to storm damage) and looks abandoned. Part of the collection can be visited in the nearby "Bastion".
The original Cocteau Museum building was anyway not a brilliant addition to the beautiful city of Menton, so let's hope that it will simply be razed one day.

The website says there is an exhibition.
I found a closed place.
If the exhibition was moved,

On the promenade you will admire the magnificent architecturally modern building that houses the Jean Cocteau museum (Musee Jean Cocteau). It contains 2000 works by Jean Cocteau, the multi-talented French artist, painter, poet and director. He lived a large part of his life in Mendon and when he died he donated his works to the city. The Museum will delight those who visit it, especially art lovers.

Museum is closed. It is highly unprofessional they don't bother updating their status.
