Initially my wife was going on a cruise with friends as I was still working. Found this place on Google and suggested it to her as a safe, nice spot to go. They had a wonderful time. Today. We're on a cruise and we stopped in here and it is absolutely great. Very very good food! The shrimp and beef nachos are excellent and a huge portion that will easily serve two people. It sits on a little lot by the beach where it has a little Beach area and swim area along with a restaurant and bar where you can relax and have something to eat and drink. This will be one of our regular spots. We come to Cozumel quite often and it's nice to find a small place like this that has everything you need. Only about a mile and a half from the cruise terminal at Puerto Maya. About a $10 taxi ride. The service was excellent and there's no problem at all that we had coming here. There is also a taxi stop right across the street from the restaurant so when you need to go back to the ship or anywhere else very handy to just go across the street and jump in.

Google
Jeanie's was awesome. I had the white fish dinner. Amigo had the beef tacos. It was recommended to get the Mexican egg rolls. Yeah those were good. I loved the fish. Ate it all. People very nice as has been everyone here. Atmosphere was fun.

Google
Stopped for a quick afternoon meal. Good view, and they have their own beach spot/swimming area. Best part was 2 for 1 Dos Equis.

Google
We were craving a hamburger burger after shopping at Mega, so we stopped in Jeanie's. Nothing beats the taste of homemade mayo, especially on a perfectly cooked burger with curlie fries. The margarita on the rocks was good and defantly not short on liquor. The outdoor seating overlooks the beach, or there are tables at the beach level. Beach views make everything better.

Google
Love it 💕 I went there every night that I stayed in town for sunset and happy hour. Also went to snorkel right off their pier, there is a ladder for easy access to the water, and a shower for a fresh water rinse after. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, food is great, drinks are cold and the sunsets are truly spectacular. Gracias a Delmer y Todos 😊

Google
We arrived during breakfast but we’re hoping for some lunch items. Our hostess got us a table on the beach, and it was wonderful. Tao was our waiter and took cery good care of us. I ordered the pescado tacos Baja and the Mrs ordered the Camarillo coco, and margaritas. All were very tasty. No rush to to get us to leave. Hope to be back again soon.

Google
Fantastic food at a reasonable price with a beautiful view of the turquoise water! The chilaquiles was the best my husband has ever had (and he eats it everywhere he can!) My Montecristo Jeanie's was delicious as well.

Google
Beautiful location ocean side. Breakfast is very reasonable priced. You can sit inside or terrace or on the beach.

Yelp
The coconut shrimp is a must order. The mahi diablo style and guacamole were also fresh and tasty. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. The views from the balcony seating are great and you can even go swimming off the dock if you want (no beach). Very reasonable, affordable pricing. Touristy, but still somewhat a bit off the beaten path from where all the tourists invade after disembarking from their cruise ships.

Yelp
Good American breakfast. I believe their menu caters to Americans. Great selection, great service, and beautiful ocean view.
google avatar

Sopheat V.

Yelp
Typical American breakfast. It's good but pricey, they definitely try to scam here. We've had servers ask for more tips from us even though we generally leave over 20%.

Yelp
Ate dinner twice while in the area for diving, and Jeanie's is a solid 4 for me. We enjoyed their margaritas, chicken nachos, and chicken burrito. Well grilled chicken and habanero salsa made these especially yummy. Service was good and prices and charges were appropriately applied. Couple things of note: 1. Happy Hour 2 for 1 (4-7pm)-both drinks have to ordered by the same person. They did let us order both just before HH ended and then bring them to us one at a time. 2. Every food order we and our companions got was large enough to share. 3. The view is great, especially at sunset. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Jeanie's locate right across street from Mega supermarket. It's convenient for all tourists. Their iconic Cozumel sign at waterfront just good for picture taking. Their ceviche is very fresh, but they sometime added too much lime juice so it's a bit sour. You can tell them add less lime juice. The fish taco and shrimp toco are good. Overall they have good food, service with nice view.

Yelp
Stopped in as we were walking in the rain looking for some place to grab dinner. Checked the menu on the sidewalk and decided why not. We were seated but a very nice host immediately. The restaurant was not at all busy. Our waiter was very professional and helpful. We decided to order some cocktails first . I ordered the JEANIE Margherita and it was amazingly good. We also place our appetizer order art the same time. The Vietnamese style rolls and sauce were some of the best I have had. We each ordered an entree too. One of us got the Mahi-Mahi and the other the skirt steak. Both were served quickly with a good amount of delicious mashed potatoes and other vegetables. The steak was not cooked perfect and thus the 4 star rating. It was quite tasty and edible though.

Yelp
Great view and on the right side of the street! Phenomenal drinks and food. Short walk from the cruise port, on the beach side of the boulevard where you can have a drink with toes in the sand. Favorite combo of our whole party was the Pepito de Arracherra sandwich with their Tropical Paradise cocktail. Mind blowing and a great showcase of the local flavor!

Yelp
So the view is worth the price of admission and the staff is very friendly; however, falls a little short on execution. I ordered Eggs Benedict, something I usually enjoy, but I was a little disappointed when Jeanie's version came out over cooked. Instead of the poached eggs coming out nice and runny, they almost hard-boiled. Now it wasn't the end of the world and they were still tasty, but I was hoping for more.

Yelp
We come here every time we are in Cozumel. The food is always delicious, the service good, and sitting in the patio is so relaxing. You can also make arrangements to do a short helmet dive and that always goes well.

Yelp
The food was excellent! Fresh Mexican food that's not catered towards dumb American tourists. The ingredients were super fresh. My bf and I both had chicken fajitas. Only difference was I got flour tortillas & he got corn. Both were handmade & so fresh. Service was outstanding. We came in through an unmanned entrance (ooops) but were greeted in less than 5 seconds. He couldn't find the host so he sat us himself. The waiter came over immediately & recommended brunch cocktails The mimosa was delicious & strong. My bf got a mojito that was also very good. The waiter did know a good amount of English but the kitchen staff that brought food out did not. They charge in pesos & American dollar. Be ware if you pay with American money (I tapped to pay) they charge u roughly $2 extra than the conversion rate & dub it a surcharge but that's only if you ask why the rates don't match up. Overall I highly recommend if you're in the area

Yelp
Straight out of a Texas Gringos mouth some of the most freshest food I've eatin in Mx.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was average. But atmosphere and view Of water is great. Staff is very friendly. Take a cab from ferry dock.

Joey C.

Yelp
Had the local Mexican breakfast that I can't remember the name . Chips covered in white cheese ( the kind that looks like US cottage cheese but doesn't taste like it 100%) fruit, coffee and juice. Good experience

Yelp
Hola!!!! All the way from Cozumel Mexico! Jeanie's is a nice little spot right by the beach. The people are friendly and willing to speak English if you don't speak Spanish. Let's talk about the food, ah-mazing, the tacos are to die for ( not literally) but they are extremely good. I got the steak tacos and a local beer called Bohemia. If you're ever in the area, it's a must go!! It's walking distance from the port, if you're cruising! Go get a bite to eat and enjoy your stay in Mexico :) Until next time, happy eating everyone!

Yelp
Great view! Beautiful patio dining. We stopped in for a late lunch after getting poured on from rain when we left the Chedraui shopping. The ambiance is nice, the view is great, and the food was good. I had the shrimp quesadilla and my husband had the steak fajitas. The prices are better in pesos than American dollars. We enjoyed a couple drinks and our lunch was tasty. Relaxing stop during the rain storm. I'd come back for a relaxing meal and good view. Service was friendly and reliable. The restroom was clean. The food is not spicy kind of "gringo-esque" but was good.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food! Waitstaff great! Thank you Oscar & Teo for waiting on us. View was beautiful!!
google avatar

Melody K.

Yelp
We've only been here during breakfast/brunch hours and the service and food have never disappointed us. We've always gotten a table on the outside patio with a view of the ocean. Elma and Rosie (servers) have known us forever, since my kids were babies till now young adults. We typically order the same dishes, never to early to start the morning with a Beer. Food ordered this trip was Eggs Rancheros, Chorizo Omelette, Egg special, Chocolate Chip Waffles and Chicken Taquitos. The food always fresh and made to order and the prices are good, much cheaper than eating breakfast in the hotel. Note: my son whose been ordering their Chocolate Chip Waffles since he was 5, still orders them at 18 years old and loves them! Atmosphere: Beach front, Food: very good, Service: excellent.

Yelp
This particular Jeanie's Breakfast is located on Avenida Rafael E. Melgar, the main street in Cozumel. My friend and I were looking for a nice open place where we could eat breakfast over-looking the ocean. Also, multiple people in town told us that the food here was really good. We weren't able to score a seat on the patio, but we got seats so we could at least feel the ocean breeze. Close enough! My friend and I chose the chilaquiles breakfasy, which comes with fruit juice, coffee with refills. I chose the chicken chilaquiles. The fruit juice tasted very fresh, and some of the fruit was okay, but the chilaquiles was AMAZING - spicy, savory, and all for 9 bucks You read that right. NINE. DOLLARS. For large portions. One of the best breakfasts in Cozumel!
google avatar

Yelp
LOVED Jeanie's! The staff are all so friendly. Loved chatting with Manuel and Oscar and Alma. They all took great care and were so friendly to me. The food is great, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Great views of the water. Highly recommend!! Thanks for reopening, taking such great care of your staff, and being a highlight of my trip. I will definitely return soon!

Deni J.

Yelp
We had lunch on the back deck. Magnificent view! You can also eat on the sandy beach. Drank lime margarita that was bland and had little, if any, alcohol. Later, we heard the table next to us send their mixed drinks back because there was so little alcohol. Bottled beer is probably the best if that is to your liking. The chicken fajitas were delicious and plentiful.
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
I don't get it. I had the grouper filet and it was extremely mediocre. The server never checked on us once and the place was empty. Extra star as the view was nice.

Yelp
Oh Jeanie Genie Jeeeeeeeaaaanie!!! Where do we start! I knew we were making the right choice for breakfast on our last morning in Cozumel. "I'm a genie in a bottle You gotta rub me the right way If you wanna be with me..." played on the radio by Christina Aguilera (I can't make this stuff up) as we drove to this lovely lovely lovely restaurant...and when we arrived we parked in the mega parking lot safely COVID precautions were taken, that's always a good thing. (Temperature taken at the door, sanitizing gel for hands upon entering and a door mat of disinfectant of some sort) it's a large space where dinner, lunch and breakfast are promoted. We had a mixture of both. My partner had the Tampiqueño I hope I'm saying it right= Steak, enchilada like sauce on taquitos with beans guac and salad. All On one plate!!! And I ordered an omelette with chicken and cheese. Yummy that came with refried black beans and an homemade tostone looking hash brown. For a sweet finish I had asked Alma for El Original!!! Lightly cooked because I have a thing against browned or over goldened food. I like my pancakes and waffles like I like my man, golden to fair :) and that's exactly how it was presented. Miel de maple and extra butter me please!!! Hot fresh and amazing! They have giant waffles but the original worked out just right for me Many dishes come with cafe and jugo. The orange juice was fresh squeezed pulp free just like i like it! Jeanie "rubbed me in all the right ways" wish we ate here everyday while in Cozumel. I had a cake (torta) from El Coffee Cozumel that was way too much for my partner and I/family so we shared with the lovely ladies that served our food! Alma was and is amazing! She smiled with her eyes while delivering great service One of Our neighbor foodies undressed into her bathing suit and was about to take a swim right off the back patio. While diver groups loaded boats for a morning dive and sights of coral and views of paradise presented itself in the background. We enjoyed a great breakfast please do the same...go to Jeanies make sure Christina Aguilera is playing in the background Yelp on fellow yelpers I'm out

Robin A.

Yelp
Location is great, view is fabulous, staff is top notch. Food is just ok. We went there for dinner, anything fried was nasty. The oil for frying clearly was not fresh. Also went there for breakfast thinking you can't screw up bacon and eggs. I think they fry the bacon in the fat fryer. It had that nasty old oil taste. Staff was freaking awesome. A couple of people in our group ordered rib eye steaks. They did not have them despite being on the menu. One of the staff walked across the street to Mega and bought rib eyes for the two in our group so they could have what they wanted. That is great service. I would love to give a higher star rating but you go to a restaurant to eat so when something is not good then it is what it is
google avatar

Bumble B.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast here so much that we stopped by a 2nd time! I ordered a ham and cheese omelet and a cup of coffee. The omelet was HUGE and delicious + it came with a side of refried beans (yum!) and homemade hash brown (see pic). The view in the back while you're enjoying your food is beautiful! The service was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

Abbey P.

Yelp
Great service and beautiful views. The eggs Benedict was really good! Salsa verde was super yummy. Bacon was cooked perfectly. Fruit plate was really refreshing. Screwdriver was made with freshly squeezed orange juice.
google avatar

Emilie G.

Yelp
Probably some of the best fish burrito I've ever had! We were able to sit on the beach in the evening. The atmosphere was very enjoyable
google avatar

Ron F.

Yelp
Request to sit outside, weather permitting, because the view is amazing. I came here off a cruise ship and had breakfast. I ordered the Mexican breakfast, which was good and fairly cheap. Overall the place was very good.
google avatar

Brenda B.

Yelp
Everything we ordered came out wrong or they would forget to bring it (we speak Spanish). I feel bad because everyone was so nice but no one really know what's going on and who is doing what. They need better management.
google avatar

Ginger O.

Yelp
Great place in Cozumel if you want to hang out and sit on the little beach area, drink and have food. We went there a couple of years ago for breakfast and it was so fun. Right on the water in town, close to the cruise ship area. It is a bit obscure as the entrance is small but when you walk in, there is a nice dining area inside with a deck that overlooks the water. The bonus is that there is a beach area with lounge chairs and you can just enjoy the water and your drinks. Love coming here when we are in Cozumel - they are friendly and very accomodating. The first time we went there, we had this breakfast that was so filling! The next time we watched the sunset had happy hour drinks and appetizers. Great place to watch the ships and sunset! Will always return!!
google avatar

Sharon K.

Yelp
This is a good little find. The view is beautiful. Outside seating under shelters and palm trees. Bring your snorkeling gear. Service was good. Food was average but the swim out dock and sunken statues are great. Hidden secret. This is right next to where they train scuba divers. So there are some great artificial reefs that have now grown into mature reefs. We stayed for two hours and felt we were on our own snorkeling/lunch tour at 1/3 the price.
google avatar

Karl C.

Yelp
This was the best little restaurant in Cozumel. HUGE portions, wonderful food, fantastic service, and their signature margarita will blow you away. Spent 2 weeks in Cozumel, and this was the highlight restaurant. Don't be put off by the staff trying to get you to come in, just go in, you'll be very surprised. And it's ocean front with a great view. Okay, here again tonight. The best lobster dinner on the island!!
google avatar

Tina R.

Yelp
The location is convenient but I had a terrible experience. I ordered coffee and eggs Benedict but what came out was soggy toast with a fried egg and gooo on top plus added bonus a hair! I told my waiter and ask for the menu to order something else - continental breakfast (fruit, toast, juice and coffee) ok easy. It was good, easy. When I received my bill it had 3 items, eggs benagoo, coffee and continental breakfast. I asked why I was charged like this (food with hair that wasn't ate and coffee that was included in a meal) and the waiter shrugged and was like it's how it is. Booooooooo.
google avatar

wayne s.

Yelp
We went here for our first breakfast in town, the food was very good the drinks were fantastic and the view was not to be missed. I would highly recommend The spot for sure. The people are so nice and very Covid friendly for sure
google avatar

Caity K.

Yelp
WE LOVED THIS PLACE! I got the steak fajitas and they were the best I've ever had. My husband got the flank steak and it had the best flavor amongst the entire island. We sat on the patio and had a great view of the ocean.
google avatar

Kristine R.

Yelp
There was absolutely nothing authentic about this place... nor was it welcoming. During a stop on our cruise in Cozumel, we walked around aimlessly in search of SOMETHING that wasn't overtly touristy but it was rather difficult. We walked in to Jeanie's solely based on their view of the beautiful ocean. They advertise free WiFi so we asked for the code, but the server was extremely hesitant to give it to us and pretty much ignored our requests until we placed an order and actually spent money. So strange and unwelcoming. We ordered a couple of piña coladas and nachos. The nachos are a massive mountain of subpar topped chips. It was enough to feed 4 of us and give us enough time to use the WiFi and yelp another restaurant that would be worth eating at.
google avatar

Mary H.

Yelp
The chicken nacho was enough for 2 people. Asked for a side of cream so I could take to unbelievably hot aside they gave us. Tasted amazing but too hot to enjoy alone. Drink seemed small but ended up being plenty.

Maritza P.

Yelp
This was the worst decision i made. Even thought the staff was super friendly, the food was completely bland with no flavor at allllll. Eggs Benedict to be exact. It was so bad that I thought i may have contracted covid overnight and lost my sense of taste. They are served on a white slice of bread. 0/10 I also tried the chilaquiles and the salsa tasted sour. Like it was bad. La comida no tiene sabor. Para nada. No se los recomiendo.
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Jeanie's is really one of those one stop shops for people out and about in Cozumel. We actually came here initially after signing up for a bubble helmet diving/snorkeling excursion. We ended up hanging here longer than we expected! There are really 3 parts to this place, The excursion/beach option, the restaurant, and the pearl shop. All in one handy building. First the excursions. You can do the dive helmet one which i highly recommend. It's like walking on another planet! And if you don't like to snorkel or scuba scares you this is perfect! I wasn't claustrophobic like I thought I would be, and it didn't bother my asthma. Win! You are also free to snorkel or scuba off the beach into the ocean there. There's a platform a little ways out you can swim out to and just hang out on. They have an old wrecked plane working on coralizing and even brought over a very docile stingray for us to hold! The pearl shop farms the oysters here so you got to see all of that going down as well. After your excursion you can go back and browse the shop while you wait on your photos and videos to upload and be displayed for your viewing pleasure. The females get a free anklet and the boys get a free shot of tequila. Win #2! Also included with our excursion were 2 free drinks. We opted to each have a margarita (it is Mexico after all) and it was DELICIOUS! And as we were finishing our first my husband and I decided food might be a good idea, if the drinks were that strong. We got the sampler appetizer of tacos, taquitos, quesidilla and nachos. This is your real Mexican food. And it was all delicious. I hate beans. I especially hate re-fried beans. All of the nachos were covered in it and I devoured it it was that good! It also came with a side of salsa and a really really hot jalapeno sauce if you wanted it. The food and the drinks were amazing! The service was so-so but I believe that was because the daughter doing most of the waitressing didn't speak much English, as an older woman took our order and what not. But still I'm glad we decided to eat and drink there instead of next door Margaritaville!
google avatar

Tina A.

Yelp
I've experienced Jeanie's twice and I've only been here two days. They have 2 for 1 Happy Hour which is excellent. Drinks are better than average and the food is very nice. First time we had calamari. It came with French fries and little chip "cups" filled with ketchup and mayo for dipping. We also had the Flan. It was enjoyable. The second night we had the fresh avocado stuffed with tuna from the appetizer menu. I liked this dish a lot. Oh and the view is pretty amazing too. This place is worth the visit if you're in the area.
google avatar

Mary F.

Yelp
We have eaten at Jeanie's every time we are in Cozumel - which is pretty frequent. What we like about it.....lovely environment at the beach, soft Mexican music instead of the loud crap heard at other places, really good food, really friendly and helpful staff (shout out to Jorge and Cesar) and a reasonably priced for large servings. We appreciate that they are so helpful working with people with food allergies, I can eat anything but my honey can't eat dairy or soy etc. The servers know the menu and ingredients so well that we can always find something great for him to eat. Go there to watch the sunset - it's a beautiful and tasty way to end the day.

William B.

Yelp
Wow! Very nice gem. Great service. Very good views. The food was great. Chile R. The tortilla soup was more of a tomato bisque but quite good. Chicken burrito was excellent. Try the chocolate enchiladas. Nice change of pace.
google avatar

Irv F.

Yelp
A little upper scale if you like the off the beaten path locations. Food is done right, smaller portions but flavors are assorted and constant. Early morning breakfast is good cause their coffee is great and its the only place beside Starbucks we can find that serves real creamer for your coffee rather than regular milk. Anyway yes good coffee for that early morning, sit and stare at the blue water time.
google avatar

Jas P.

Yelp
The view, service, and food here were great! You get a view of the ocean, our server was very friendly and spoke English (in case you don't speak Spanish), and they give you a lot of food. I went here for breakfast and ordered the Mexican breakfast. Although it comes with chicken, I was able to substitute it for eggs. I got my desayuno mexicano, and it came with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, a cup of coffee, a generous portion of sliced papaya, pineapple, and cantaloupe, all for $110 pesos!

Nick J.

Yelp
All the food my family and I ordered was bland and flavorless. We spent 65 dollars on 4 dishes. Rip-off!!
google avatar

Sylvia L.

Yelp
Heard the waffles were good and they were decent. It comes with syrup, butter & jam. Might be a little plain if you don't apply some of those items. It was nice to sit outside on the deck with the ocean view & fans blowing. The waffles came with a good amount of cantaloupe and papaya - yum. Tasted both the bacon (crispy the way I like it) & the ham (looked like it came out of a deli pack), and the cantaloupe and papaya fruit drinks tasted quite natural (good). Their Sunday buffet brunch also looked good.
google avatar

Ally H.

Yelp
Yummy. Inexpensive. Friendly servers. Definite recommend. It is also in a nice area with a lot of shopping around.
google avatar

Maryanne M.

Yelp
We had drinks and appetizers here twice. The margaritas are good and the guacamole is wonderful! You get a big plate with pica de gallo and great chips for 75 pesos! Top notch.
google avatar

Alexandra T.

Yelp
Jeanie's is my favorite American breakfast on the island! Eggs bacon toast potatoes are amazing !

Mike E.

Yelp
Came in this past Saturday late afternoon. I love fresh guacamole...however theirs appeared and tasted as if it may be that frozen kind. Not good. The chips had a burned/bitter taste too (how does one mess up chips?). Ceviche was very average tasting. Servers were nice...of course they cannot control how the chef and/or owner prepares food. View was nice. I think sometimes we tourists accept lower quality for the view...but we live and learn...hopefully.
